As the arrow flies true the bear attempt to swat it from the air...
But only suceeds at causing the arrow to pierce its forepaw. The bear roars with pain but does not remove its focus from Silva and his ornate armour.
Arielle will cast Grease in front of the charging bear.
The bear steadfastly maintains its footing while advancing on Silva.
As you reach out with your magic it slips away from you, through no fault of your own. It felt like the spell would just not work on the creature, as though it were not an animal. The creature does not even seem to notice your attempt, fixated as it is on Silva.

As the bear is full occupied with crushing the crap out of Silva, Andrej drops his bow, draws his sword as part of his movement and attacks the bear with all his might.

Andrej rushes to help Silva but nearly trips over his disgarded bow, fumbling his normally precise strike. The bear seems to ignore him, crushing Silva to its chest while scanning the temple grounds. Its gaze lands on Maksim and it bellows its fury.

The bear attempts to swat Maksims arrow from the sky with a paw...
But misses the true flying arrow which sinks to the fletching in its throat, drawing another deafening roar crom the beast. Arielle's missile follows up quickly and slams into the bears flank, causing it to wobble unsteadily.

The bear releases its hug on Silva and lashes at him with its teeth and claws...
Silva valiantly fends off most of its attacks but a claw connects heavily with his chest, marring the holy symbol of Erastil as the bear scoops him up into another great hug...
Silva winces in pain at the claw. Someone please kill him while he is distracted.

Clamping its jaws on Silva's shoulder the bears muzzle turns red with blood but its claws do not fully connect allowing Silva to slip free.

Silva 5 foot steps (draws his mace) to the opposite side of the bear from Andrej and attacks using the flank.

Its actions slowing the bears swats at Egan as he casts but gets no where near.
Bringing his weapon down on the bears heavily damaged head Silva finally drops the beast with a resounding crack, the bear sinks to the ground dead with an almost human sounding sigh of relief. As it dies its body shrinks and changes from a bear to a man with a look of peace before quickly degrading to bones and finally dust.
As this happens a lance of sunlight pierces the clouds above you and a light spring rain begins to fall. Suddenly all the plants around the area are in full bloom, the elk carving is free of moss and ivy. The pool contains nothing but clear blue water sparkling in the spring sunshine, it looks cool and refreshing.

I think Erastil approves of us slaying this creature. Egan says as he moves to the pool, and on a gnomish whim cups a small handful of the now clear water and tastes it.
Disappointed in his own lack of contribution, never the less Maksim is filled with reverent awe. "Not hell, quite the other, I think a curse of some sort was broken. But the bear was a man, maybe a druid. Something very dark must of 'appened long ago. We may never know what. But the temple has been cleansed." Maksim comes forward and looks around for any other signs, portents or anything notable.
