            Isabel nods at Darian's suggestion and pulls out a pencil to scribe a brief message.
"Kellid man, may be werewolf. Detain on sight."
She shows it to her husband and the others. "Clear enough?"

            "I will tell him, but gods know how long I'll have to listen to the cantankerous old bird go on about this 'favor'." Freya says.
With a half-smile she adds, "Almost enough to make me want to forget my native tongue."
The raven squawks, "Ikke rettferdig! Snakk så jeg kan forstå deg!"
Freya makes a face at the raven. "Bare lever den forbannede noten til Kesten og Akiros.
Freya makes a face at the raven. "Just deliver the damned note to Kesten and Akiros."

            As the raven takes off, Darian turns to the others, ”Alrigt, let’s try and get back to town as quickly as possible. We might get lucky and beat him there if he continues to try and cover his trail.”

            Looking at the sword on his waist, Josef seems to be considering. "Alive? Alive. That makes it harder, you know. But, if that's what you want . . .."
Returning his eyes to the others, the young man asks. "Okay, let's try to beat him back, then. Slow jog, or put more into it?"

            ”Then we head out in the direction he would have been approaching from and attempt to find him, unless anyone has a better suggestion. I don’t want anyone else to fall victim to this man’s curse,” Darian says as he looks to the others to see if they have a better idea.

            "Or we wait here for him to return." Isabel offers. "Trying to find him, especially if it gets dark, will be difficult - he was trying to confuse his trail. If we lose it and him then the chances of another attack are higher. If we keep people inside tonight then hopefully we'll avoid him getting victims, draw him out..."

            Pekk mulls the situation;
"Per'haps we could offer him some bait? I hear the loup garou can be partial to a morsel of gnome now and again? Bon Appetite and all that! "
The diminutive river-scoundrel smiles as he pats the hilt of one of the matching daggers that sit at his belt;
"Besides Argentia will keep me safe."

            Darian looks at the newcomer with an arched eyebrow. Going well out of his way to make an impression. What is he REALLY after here?
He shakes his head. ”I won’t have anyone playing the role of bait if it can be helped. But my wife does make a good point, this is his apparent destination. So let’s have everyone stay inside tonight, and we all set up and watch for him, together. If he is truly a werewolf, then hopefully he won’t be too keen on using rational thought. I’m not well versed on the creatures or the curse, but I’ve heard a few stories. We just need to try and subdue the beast and restrain it without being bitten ourselves. Anyone ever used a net or skilled at setting up some traps?”

            "Not exactly the focus of my training, no. But do we want to sit on the walls, with the torches, and look out into the darkness, or do we want to establish one or more watching points out there, and watch FROM the darkness?"

            Keeping watch :)

Isabel takes the first watch, but ensures that she is able to rest nearby - in case the worst happens.

            Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Darian will be taking watch with Isabel. I figure , based on our cities layout, that the most likely place is somewhere around the houses and the Inn, so I figure we will be setting up watch there in one of the as of yet unclaimed homes. Making sure that plenty of torches were lit in the streets and alley ways prior to people retiring for the night.

            Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
The night is quiet and still, the only noises to disturb your vigil are the footsteps of the patrolling guards.
Freya, it is late in your watch when the Werewolf, unable to control his bloodlust any further climbs the wall. He is attempting to be unnoticed but his hunger for blood leaves him too impatient to succeed at it.
What are you doing?

            Seeing the werewolf climbing the wall, Freya sounds the horn to alert the guards and other councilors.
After sounding the horn, Freya and Fenrir will move to keep the werewolf in sight but only opt to engage should he become a direct threat to one of the townsfolk.

            Hearing the horn, Darian quickly stands from where he was sleeping leaned up against the wall near the door to the house they were in. ”Everyone up! Freya’s sounded the signal!” he calls out as he draws his sword and steps out the door to assess the situation. ”And remember, try and bring it down alive if possible, but only if you can do so safely!”
Dunno how much I can do just yet, if we are in rounds or not, but Darian will be making his way to intercept the werewolf.

            Hearing the horn Pekk snaps awake, buckles on his sword belt and re-curls his moustaches with a deft touch.
The river-scoundrel intercepts the council members outdoors as he dons his flamboyant hat with a hard smile and a nod;
"When facing potential death one must should not neglect countenance no?"
The gnome faces the night air with a hard stare, then turns to Isabel;
"My Lady... Would it not be prudent to stay 'ere? The enfant may encite the beast..."

            Clinking slightly with his armor shifting under his clothes as he gets up, Josef picks up his hat and places it just so as he starts moving towards the watch post. He pulls the sword at his waist as he goes.
"Do we know anything? Where is it?" He moves towards the post quickly, frustrated by his own ignorance.

            Freya - With the sound of the horn the Were wolf looks around looks around in surprise. He's in humanoid form and still carries a fine looking great axe.
He scrambles back onto the wall, but this time he turns to move towards you! You hear a yell as two nearby guards respond to the horn.
1st round. Freya has an action. The Werewolf used his to get back on the wall. The Guards will be with you in 1 round.
You are all on the map, so your first rounds will be double moving to Freya position I take it?

            @GM_DBH: Indeed, Pekk will draw his alchemical silver dagger as he goes. Are the streets of Silverhold lit?
Round 1
The scoundrel gives slight bow at Isabel's response;
"Of course my Lady... I should have expected nothing less I think!"
When the clamour of alarm is raised, Pekk makes for the guard well by the most direct route available. (Double Move - 40ft total)
As he hustles as best his shorter stature will allow the gnome draws his fine silvered dagger (Free Action).

            Darian takes off as fast as he can towards Freya's post.

            "Fenrir, bring him down." Freya commands as she follows along.
As the wolf takes off after the werewolf, Freya conjures a ball of ice to hurl at the man.
Snowball: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 vs. Touch AC
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 2) = 8
Fenrir Bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

            Josef scoots along towards the wall, hoping to be in time.

            Freya's spell slams into the beat and hurts it judging by the howl of pain it lets out. Fenrir tries to sink his teeth in and up end the Werewolf, but he barely penetrates it's hide.
The Werewolf snarls in rage at Fenrir and swings his Greataxe, trying to remove the pest.
Greataxe: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
damage: 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Freya arcane gaze locks with the furious eyes of the man wolf, he shakes off her attempt to render him asleep.
The guards reach the wall and one boosts the other up onto the walkway. "Pull back Milady!" the Guard calls to Freya.
The were wolf looks around with some caution, the new arrivals look to be increasing.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Deciding a spellcaster is too risky he leaps off the wall, swinging at Josef
Josef, you get an AOO on him as he lands by you.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Damage: 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
His axe hitting Josef awkwardly and not doing much damage.

Darian steps up beside Josef, apprehension setting in seeing this creature of myth and legend standing before him attacking his friend. Still, he realizes this is a man who is sick, and attempts to hit him in the side of the head with the flat of his blade.
__________
Attack, Non-lethal: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 8 - 4 = 12

As the others begin to engage the beast-man, Pekk hustles to support them (20ft Move) arriving to stand shoulder to shoulder hip with Darian.
The gnome lashes out with his silvered knife, also seeking to inflict minimal damage on the creature;
"En Garde Loup Garou!"
