Orphan Arielle |

Arielle touches Bubbles' big round ear gently and says, "Just listen to Corrie, Bubbles. She knows best."
More magic erupts from her hand and a soft glow surrounds the teddy bear for a brief flash.
lesser rejuvenate eidolon: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Arielle's move action will be considered delayed as at the moment she is in Miyari's arms.

Name Below |
Llewyn Dylan
The bard pauses for a moment to tune his instrument. Then his fingers fly along the lute's string to produce a stirring piece which begins to uplift his sudden and new allies spirits.
One of Corvin's goons suddenly calls out, "Yeah! Now that be a song to be fightin' to." With a renewed vigor he powerfully cudgels one of the attacking cultists.
Llewyn is now using his bardic performance to inspire which provides +1 to saving throws versus charm and fear effects and a +1 to attack and weapon damage rolls.
Llewyn keeps an eye on the angry animal nearby.

Bubbles Bear |

Bubbles reaches back with a stubby teddy bear limb and touches the young girl's encircling arms with a razor claw. The eidolon's caress does not appear to cause her any damage despite the lethal appearance of the natural weapon. It seems instead to behave as a normal humanoid's finger would. Then turning, the teddy growls at the cultist which just attacked Armin.
As Corinne steps aside to allow him passage, Bubbles rushes towards the man swinging both sets of claws into the robed figure's body. Then the eidolon leans forward and attempts to bite the mage viciously.

Round 3.5
Current Order:
- Glen and Kalica
- Roswitha
- Brokk
- Llewyn
- Arielle/Bubbles
- Mouthpiece
- Armin
- Miyari
- Ali
- Cultists
- Lyr e
- Glen: Glen's bolt whistles through the air. There is a terrible jarring note in the song of the lyre as the projectile strikes the instrument hard. One of the strings seems to split slightly and is much thinner then before, but it remains whole enough to continue producing sound.
- Kalica: The smiling lunatic capers and nods to Kalica as she passes him. "Come to zhoin the dance, mish?" he slurs.
- Roswitha: The large teddy bear throws a glance at the sorcerer, His one glass eye seeming to regard her as she brushes his back. If she touches him, she notices his body's fluff feels brand new and soft despite his somewhat raggedy appearance.
- Brokk: The longhammer whistles loudly and makes such a hard connection with the target's body that surely the resulting crack! is the shattering of bone. The man sucks in his breath and eyes Brokk angrily.
- Llewyn: Llewyn is inspiring. Round 3 of 8 Bardic Performance
- Arielle/Bubbles: Arielle heals her beloved teddy bear who then proceeds to attack Armin's griefer. His first claw swipe misses completely, but the second scores a terrifying wound to the man's side who immediately turns white and sways like he's about to pass out. The bear's bite attempt does not connect, and the man remains conscious but on his feet gravely injured.
Mouthpiece: He glances at the lyre in alarm, but his focus once again returns to Glen upon seeing the instrument remain whole. This time no sarcastic finger waggle, but instead a finger point and the latest summoned figure in robes turns its attention towards the gnome(?). Mouthpiece changes his story now and begins to tell the tale of a dangerous pest in tall grass and the clever boy who killed it and made a hat from its skin.
Whew! Finally, I got you guys caught up. Sorry I have been sucking on the posting front.

Ali Harper |

"Kalica, you can handle that joker reet?" Ali asks the sylvan ranger as he turns to address the figure upon the dais. "And you sonny-me-laddo, stop spouting such tosh. I like a good tale as much as anyone, but you ain't got the knack to tell 'em."
He draws back his sling and lets a bullet go, aimed at the bulk of the barely visible instrument. "In fact, much like that beside you. You've a liar & a busted one at that!" He taunts mildly.
Sling at Lyre: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Armin Albright |

On a proverbial high after clobbering two elementals in a row, Armin glances about, his eyes still wild with rage. When no creature of earth or wind manifests, he instead settles for the nearest cultist. He swings yet again with force that might explode the man's head, but the motion is perhaps too vigorous, making the attack all too easy to avoid.
4 rounds of rage left, power attack, inspire courage applied.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d10 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 19

Miyari |

Miyari whispers to Arielle, "Go to her, she will protect you." The catfolk means Corinne, of course, but can't bring her name to mind. Miyari places Arielle on the ground and gestures off, before making haste towards the stage, ducking behind Ali and Kalica.
Lash at cultist 3, mote if 12 is not enough to hit: 1d20 + 4 + 1d4 ⇒ (8) + 4 + (3) = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Miyari swings the blade, her attack seeming to come from two directions at once until the image of her collapses into a single possibility. "Get out of my way," she growls forcefully at the cultist.

Kalica |

Kalica wastes no time. "I've not come to join the dance but to end it fool." She sneers in reply as she slashes out viciously with her beautifully decorated long elven curved blade. The leaf pattern of the silver hilt glistens in the moonlight as the blade whistles through the air hungrily striking out for it's victim.
[Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Round 3.9
Current Order:
Glen and Kalica, Roswitha, Brokk, Llewyn, Arielle/Bubbles, Mouthpiece, Armin, Miyari, Ali, Cultists & Minions, Lyre
- Armin: Armin's strike misses the target and strikes the muddy ground with such force there is a sucking sound as Armin yanks his planson yanks back to a battle ready position. The cultist who narrowly avoided death gulps.
- Miyari: The woman gasps in pain at Miyari's wounding strike. "Al-alright then," she grunts after Miyari makes her rhetorical request.
- Ali: The thinning string on the lyre snaps with a discordant sound. The song continues to play, but now sounds slightly off as some notes are now missing.
- Kalica's delayed attack: Kalica, unfortunately critical hits require the natural roll fall into the weapon's crit range not the final result, so this will just be a well struck regular attack. The drunken fool's eye widen in surprise as Kalica angrily swings her weapon. "Wait, wait, wa-..!" comes the cry too late. As the the ranger brings the curved blade around hard with both hands, its edge slices the man open with a mortal wound. He falls bonelessly to the ground coughing blood. His half-filled tankard of ale falls to the mud next to the brightly colored festival stick he had been holding in his other hand.
- Cultist #1: The bleeding robed man backs up from the teddy but moves slowly proving he is hurt badly.
- Cultist #2: Having been only narrowly missed by two separate attacks on his life, the man steps back from the melee attackers and does his best to finish the job the first cultist started. A familiar pattern plays on his lips and soon fire erupts to wash over Corvin's goon and Armin once again.
Burning hands DC 14: 1d4 ⇒ 2 Reflex for half, if failed roll on Catching fire chart listed in Campaign tab.
- Cultist #3: True to her utterance, the woman steps out of Miyari's way. Once safe she pulls a potion out of a satchel and drinks it.
cure light wounds potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
- Cultist #4: This man also steps away from Miyari, but seem less interested in playing nice as the only recently returned dagger is now flung at Miyari full force accompanied by a snarl.
Hand of the Apprentice dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1"Curse this blasted thing!" he mutters as the dagger returns to his hand unbloody once again.
- Snotty-nosed half-elf: Rabidly he charges at Roswitha once again brandishing his rusty knife.
Rusty blade: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 - Angry animal: The long creature hisses and attempts to bite Lleywn's leg.
Vicious yet tiny teeth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
damage: 1d3 - 4 ⇒ (1) - 4 = -3 If this actually hits which I doubt, it would do 1 minimum of 1 non-lethal damage. - Doomsayer: Hurt bad, the shaman-like man utters nasty and guttural arcane words. Fire blooms from his hand and washes over Brokk.
Burning hands DC 13: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Reflex for half, if failed roll on Catching fire chart listed in Campaign tab.
- Acolyte: The cleric just given instructions to deal with Glen moves its robes aside and a small dog that had been hiding in them charges forth growling and snarling. The figure then chants something like a holy prayer. All of the cultists and summoned beings have a small religious symbol appear on their forehead. All that is except the doomsayer engaged with Brokk.
Spellcraft DC 16:The spell is bless and is an enchantment type spell.
The snarling dog attempts to bite Glen savagely.
Dog bite: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 1 = 18
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 - Pretty woman: Rather than try once again to stand in the greased area, the pretty woman crawls carefully until she has moved out of the area.
- Corinne: The disfigured woman runs over to the beautiful female still on her hands and knees. "You have the look of one confused. Suffice it to say, some here are not your enemy. Help us, so we can figure out how to help you." She offers her hand to the woman who eyes it with apprehension then reaches up and clasps it. Corinne pulls the woman to her feet. "Thank you," she says simply in reply.
- Arielle: Arielle follows Corinne after Miyari sets her down.
- Lyre: The now slightly discordant sound of the lyre is distracting as it slightly irritates the ear and mind. Perception checks, Will saves, and Concentration checks all have their DCs increased +1.
Lyre summoning: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Lunacy: 1d50 ⇒ 48A single figure wrapped in shadow drops from the sky directly next to the lyre behind Mouthpiece.

Round 3.99
Whoops! Forgot someone in the line-up and a couple maintenance rolls.
- Goon: Once again, the goon tries to dodge the majority of the fiery attack.
Goon Reflexes: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Alas, this time he gets singed decently. He grunts in pain and eyes the cultist with rage. Stepping closer to the retreated cultist, he swings his sword without finesse but with effective force to be deadly.
Brutal swing: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12
Brutal damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 + 1 = 9The blow is turned slightly by the shifting field of force wrapped around the cultist saving the man from a grievous wound.
- Summoned soldier: Constitution check: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (15) - 4 = 11
- Summoned drunkard: Constitution check: 1d20 - 10 ⇒ (15) - 10 = 5
And now back to you!

Brokk Brokkson XII |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Location: 1d10 ⇒ 3
Brokk's pants catch fire. For some reason his thoughts wander back to a few hours earlier when everyone laughed at him and his tale of Firewater. Brokk roared in anger and brought down his longhammer on the Doomsayer.
Attack!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6) + 3 = 12

Roswitha |

ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
acid dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 3

Glen the Goblin |

Glen wasn't expecting there was a small dog hiding in the acolyte's clothes, the little goblin was barely able to avoid the gnashing teeth. One thing's for sure they definitely know where he is, it might be time for a strategic retreat or at least regrouping with the others. He moves over by Arielle, and behind Bubbles thinking the fluff filled mountain of murder might discourage the dog from pursuit.
Once out of furry mongrel's reach he loads up another bolt in his crossbow he's pretty sure he'll be needing it again.
"Arielle, are you doing alright? Mind if Glen share your protector little one? Seems to be villains appearing everywhere... and they brought their pets" He says curiously as he's now in a position to note the weasel as well as the dog.
Move will provoke AOO from the dog, and reload crossbow

Spirit of Pinvendor |

Sorry for the delay. I was wanting to catch up, but the holidays sure don't make that easy, lol.
The dog snaps at Glen as the small detective moves away.
Bit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The cultists and members of Corvin's gang erratic fighting interferes with the dog's lunge as a random leg takes the brunt of the animal's jaws.
"Yow!" yells the cultist before being brained by a heavy cudgel shortly after.

Orphan Arielle |

Arielle nods to the gnome with the lumpy nose. Her eyes looked frightened, and she seems apprehensive.
"I'm think I'm okay right now, but a lot of people are getting hurt. It makes me sad to know this wouldn't have happened if Corrie and I had not come here."
The little girl pulls a small knife from somewhere out of her dirty smock, but she holds it more like a candle than a weapon.
Arielle delays her action and move for now.

Name Below |
Llewyn Dylan
The bard continues to strum his lute, but now he mixes some arcane words into the song attempting to keep the attacking animal at bay.
Llewyn casts daze.
Stepping back from the animal, he notices the sorcerer Roswitha is next to him.
Winking, he asks, "Going my way?"
Bardic Performance: Inspire Courage 4/8

Bubbles Bear |

The magical teddy bear quickly runs to attack the cleric which produced the dog.
Inspired Power Left Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 1 + 1 = 8
damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 11
Inspired Power Right Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 1 + 1 = 8
damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 9
Inspired Power Bite Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 1 + 1 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 13
While the figure is able to deflect the two claw swipes with its mace, the second parry leaves the man open as Bubbles' maw lunges forward to bite the cleric's neck and shoulder. Not letting go, blood spurts from the important jugular artery in the razor filled mouth, spilling out and down the front of the eidolon's plush fur. Bubbles releases its hold on the figure which falls to the mud and bleeds out what little life is left within seconds.
Wow! Cleric had 5 HP and an 8 Con. Bubbles did exactly 13 which meant no chance to survive this for the cleric!

Round 4.5
Current Order:
Glen and Kalica, Roswitha, Brokk, Llewyn, Arielle/Bubbles, Mouthpiece, Armin, Miyari, Ali, Cultists & Minions, Lyre
Some of you have asked about the stage height. I have decided we will go with a simple 5 feet.
Mouthpiece eyes the approaching allies with some apprehension. His too wide smile slips a little, but he continues to tell stories that seem to be almost eerily accurate regarding everyone present. The lyre continues to play.

Roswitha |

Stepping back from the animal, he notices the sorcerer Roswitha is next to him.
Winking, he asks, "Going my way?"
"I sincerely doubt it," the sorceress replies dryly.

Ali Harper |

At the edge of his vision Ali sights down the Lyre, hoping that this next bullet can do more damage than the last. 'By the light may my shots ring true and snap the ties that bind those creatures here.'
Move: Reload Sling
Attack (Sling): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Miyari |

Climb! + mote: 1d20 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (5) + 1 + (4) = 10
Miyari starts climbing up the stage. It seems two images of her split off, with one pathetically falling backwards onto her back, and the other clambering up onto the stage. The two images snap back into one, leaving only the more successful climber with the pleasure of existing.
Once she finds herself on stage, the catfolk strikes with her blade at the inanimate object to try and crack the damnable thing apart. "I don't like your playing," she hisses at Mouthpiece, "I don't like your story. And I certainly don't like you."
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Dueling sword: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
She gestures for others, knowing full well the danger she's in for having put herself in this position, "I need support! Kalica and ... Planson man!"
A reminder to myself that I need to make more effort to make introductions, she thinks, not seriously believing the near future will make it relevant.

Armin Albright |

Planson? Is that what this thing is called?
The stray thought is drowned out by the rage that continues to burn within Armin. Nonetheless, he comprehends that the cat woman is speaking to him, and seeing her standing there on the stage, feels compelled to join her. There is, after all, someone that they very much need to shut up.
The android glances downward, noting that the only thing standing between him and the stage was a lone cultist. The poor bastard. Sneering with annoyance, Armin tightens his grip on his weapon and swings hard.
"Get the hell out of my way!"
Power Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 8
Unfortunately, much like the cultist, the attack is an overzealous one. Worse, he could faintly sense that the rage that drove him was starting to putter out - a sensation akin to sobering up after a pint of fire ale.
Either this round or my next is the last of my rage, I think... I honestly lost count.

Kalica |

Kalica looks towards the stage and acknowledges Miyari's request with a curt nod. While fending off the cultists near her she advances her way to the stage by backing up. She knows she needs to be careful...
"Jukkete" She curses in Elvish. Her thoughts run wildly through her head.I must make haste towards the stage and strike that idiot with the lute down or he will continuously cast more things. My comrade needs my help! Blasts these stinking cultists and their insanity!
Power Attack Curved Blade: 1d20 + 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 2 + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 = 13

Spirit of Pinvendor |

Round 4 Summary
- Glen: Dashing through the tangle of cultist and insurrectionist limbs, Glen escapes the angry canine to reach the relative safety of his new comrades. His crossbow is now fully loaded once more.
- Kalica: Kalica steps up closer to the nearest attacker, but her heavy swing misses the cultist. That's for the '9' swing. The '20' swing falls into Round 5. :-)
- Roswitha: The strange glob of matter strikes the snotty, dirty half-elf. The split second before doing so, a curious effect occurs. The watery glob seems to expand and then split as if it possessed a mouth. It then engulfs the figure coating him thoroughly before becoming extremely viscous and thick.
- Brokk: The dwarf berserker's warhammer whistles through the air making contact with the mage's head. The metal skull easily wins the contest, and the side of the more fragile skull caves in dropping Brokk's opponent.
- Llewyn: Llewyn continues his lute playing and steps away from the weasel after attempting to daze it. His attempt at wit as he finds himself next to the sorcerer seems to fall flat. Must be bad timing...
- Arielle: The young girl looks more frightened now than she has since this all started. Her breathing is now coming in rapid gasps. Whatever she may have been considering doing this turn is lost as she instead simply reaches out to clutch Corinne's tunic as if for reassurance.
- Bubbles: The teddy savages the summoned cleric. Its fire-filled glass bead of an eye fixes on the wounded cultist close by, and it roars.
RAAAAAAAWWWRR!!!
- Mouthpiece: He has continued his performance. No discernible magical effect seems to be occurring from this...other than the continued discordant playing of the free standing lyre, of course.
- Armin: The still not yet quite familiar emotions flood through the android. This time, however, they seem to cloud his skill rather than assist it.
- Miyari: As nimble as a...cat...Miyari catches the stage and deftly pulls herself up. An odd memory of her not being so deft lingers for but a moment in any onlookers' minds, but quickly fades. She hisses angry words at the singer on stage. Raising her sword high she brings it down on the magical lyre...
To be continued in Round 5 post.
- Ali: Ali's sling bullet swings wide into the space between Miyari and the man orating on the stage.
- Cultist 1: The hurt cultist pulls a vial from his belt pouch and drinks it.
cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
He eyes the growling eidolon with much trepidation even as he sighs from the relief the curative provides.
- Cultist 2: The man tries to step away from the bad position he is in, and hastily draws his dagger. Beside Armin's planson and the goon's longsword, the weapon looks woefully inadequate for defense. Nevertheless, he tries to cut Armin.
Blessed Dagger slice: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 - Cultist 3: "No!" the woman cries out as Miyari's blade descends on the lyre. Desperately she flings out her hand to once again direct her blade to incite damage.
Blessed Hand of the Apprentice's Dagger: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 1 = 14
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4 - Cultist 4: As Kalica angrily swings her blade on him, the man snarls back at her. Oblivious to the events on stage, he steps back and mutters magical words thrusting his hands forward in a sneer. Fire erupts from them.
Burning Hands DC 14: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Reflex Save for 1/2 damage; if failed, roll on the 'Catching Fire' chart located under the Campaign tab. - Summoned Warrior: The armored hulk on the stage springs into motion once Miyari arrives on the platform. Up close, it is easy to see the figure is in fact a dwarf, but heavily armed and armored. His dwarven waraxe swings heavily for an attempt at a kill.
Blessed Catsplitter!: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5
Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 - Snot-nosed Half-elf: "What's this? The Lord of Decay's spittle?" The half-elf shouts before falling prone and flailing piteously in the murky substance.
Beggar is entangled for 3 rounds and takes 1 acid damage this turn.
- Weasel: The bard's spell surrounds the angry weasel and attempts to make it pause.
DC 14 v. Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Its whiskers twitch, and it hisses at the bard. It rapidly closes the distance, and rears up to try and take a chunk from Llewyn's leg.
Blessed Angry bite: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d3 - 4 ⇒ (3) - 4 = -1 - Doomsayer: Head caved in, the man falls limp with hands twitching. He's not likely long for this world.
Constitution check v. DC 10: 1d20 - 7 ⇒ (14) - 7 = 7
- Acolyte: As the life leaves the man, a howl erupts from his dog. It rushes to his side and whines piteously, nudging the now motionless form.
- Pretty woman: "What shall I do?" the woman asks Corinne while hefting her mace.
- Corinne: "I would suggest trying to help with destroying tha—" Corinne replies pointing only to see Miyari's sword glittering in the light as it descends on the instrument.
- Summoned soldier: The man continues to bleed.
Constitution check v. DC 10: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (9) - 5 = 4
- Summoned drunkard: The drunk takes sharp ragged breaths.
Constitution check v. DC 10: 1d20 - 11 ⇒ (11) - 11 = 0
- Shadowed figure: The figure's head tilts as he watches Miyari climb onto the stage and bring her weapon against the lyre. Instead of any concern, instead the figure tilts its head and chuckles. At the sound, mouthpiece turns suddenly, his story faltering. As he sees the figure, his breath catches and a startled expression appears. Clearly he had no idea anyone was behind him.
- Lyre: The lyre's discordant music continues to play, and a rumbling can be heard from the sky. The roar of a dragon echoes across the night. The sound of the magic instrument swells...

Round 5 Start
Current Order:
Glen and Kalica, Roswitha, Brokk, Llewyn, Arielle/Bubbles, Mouthpiece, Armin, Miyari, Ali, Cultists & Minions
...as the sound coming from the lyre reaches painfully screeching heights, Miyari's blade makes contact. The instrument shudders and then breaks into several pieces. The strings snap with horribly jarring notes. Then the swell of noise ends as silence literally explodes out of it in a rush. The sound wave lifts Miyari off of her feet and sends her flying off the stage. The dwarven warrior is blasted backwards, somersaulting down the stage stairs. The evil bard's oration ends as the words are ripped from his mouth, and he is pushed off of the stage by the concussion. The shadowed figure is all that remains on stage, but his chuckling is no longer audible giving the impression his body is merely shaking. Strangely, he is not affected by the artifact's sonic explosion in any way.
Results of the destruction of the Lyre of Lunacy:
- Miyari is currently airborne. Ali or Kalica have the opportunity to catch her. Doing so is a move action. Reflex Save DC 15 or you are both prone as she lands on you. You may use the Aid Another rule for this save. Alternatively, Miyari can make an Acrobatics check DC 20 to land into a roll or DC 15 to assist with being caught. If Miyari fails the Acrobatics roll and no one is catching her, she will take 1d6 nonlethal damage from the impact.
- Everyone: Take 1d4 sonic damage (Will save DC 10 for 1/2). Reflex save DC 7 or be knocked prone. This save must be made in order for Ali or Kalica to attempt to catch Miyari.
- For the duration of Round 5, no sound is possible. Anything spoken or otherwise audible transmits no sound is if in a vacuum. This ends Mouthpiece's and Llewyn's bardic performances, and prevents any new ones from being started this turn.
- Any current spell effects are dispelled. This includes mage armor, bless, and grease. Roswitha's protoplasm ability is unaffected as this is a physical ability of her nature and not a spell effect requiring magical energy.
- Anyone on fire at the start of this round (Brokk and possibly Kalica if she fails her save for last turn) are no longer on fire as the concussion steals the oxygen the fire needs and snuffs it out.
Good job, everyone! Have an RC on me. Also, I owe some RCs for some things I saw in previous posts. Extra RC for Miyari, Glen, Brokk, and Roswitha. Posting is now open!

Roswitha |

Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Sonic dmg - ears Ring?: 1d4 ⇒ 2
RC = RC+2
Roswitha staggers at the concussion, but does not fall. Annoyed, she brings her crossbow to bear on the only figure remaining on stage:
Bolt flies!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Piercing dmg if hits: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Miyari |

Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Sonic damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Miyari is caught off guard by the sonic explosion from the lyre. She flails in the air, tail spinning wildly as she tries to right herself from being thrown. She skids into position, bending her knees while her sword slips from her hand in a clatter. She does not reach to pick it up, though, instead drawing her shortbow, nocking an arrow and letting it fly at the shadowy figure.
Arrow!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
She mouths something, but it's not audible.

Armin Albright |

Gritting his teeth, Armin raises his planson over his head, intent on finishing off the hapless cultist. Just as he is about to step forward and bring down the blow however, the lyre's strings snap. The resulting sonic wave crashes into the android, the force of which threatens to throw him to the ground, but his sturdy form helps him keep his footing. But the sound itself pierces his ears, sending his hands flying toward to the sides of his head in a futile attempt to shield them. Like a slap to the face, the pain strikes the rage right out of him, and just like that, he is cold again.

Ali Harper |

At the edge of his vision, seeing Miyari leap onto the stage with feline grace to attack the instrument - Ali's heart soars, maybe they can destroy the lyre before they're overwhelmed. However as it explodes in the cacophonous wave, the sonic wall hits not just like a runaway cart but also deep inside his chest. Riding the percussive wave is the catfolk investigator and Ali tries to brace to catch her as she lands dropping his sling to the floor.

The concussive force leaves Glen shaken, but not stirred, he manages to keep his feet. The man on the stage is momentarily forgotten as the little goblin turns to the young girl next to him trying to make sure she's alright and help her if she needs any help. His mouth moves in an unvoiced question.

Orphan Arielle |

The young girl's eyes go wide and terror crosses her features as the bard duelist on stage is flung down and the shadowy figure behind him is revealed. She seems to stumble and her hand brushes the drunken fool who is almost fully dead.
Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
sonic damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Arielle is roughly shaken by the wave of force, and it knocks her back a step. Glen's hand reaches for her as if to steady her, but she catches herself on the slumped form of the armored soldier before she falls completely. Her mouth trembles and some words seem to be trying to escape her lips, but they cannot be heard right now.

Name Below |
Llewyn Dylan
Llewyn the bard is bewildered for a moment as the sound of his instrument simply ceases to be. He can see his fingers playing, but hears nothing. The temporary deafness is horrifying!

The wave passes over him quickly enough, but leaves his ears ringing. Or was that ringing just in his mind? Hard to say. One thing was for sure, the man on the stage got blown clean off it, Llewyn laughs what would be loudly, but no one can hear it just yet.
He stows his lute and draws a rapier. Who knows if this is over yet?

Bubbles Bear |

The teddy appears to let out a roar and one steely-clawed limb reaches up to press against its head, and the fire in the glass eye dims for a second. The wave of force gives it no trouble at all, and Bubbles easily keeps its footing. When the fires of its eye burn brightly again, it blanches as its sight lands on the lone figure on the stage.
Turning, Bubbles rushes to the side of Arielle and sweeps her into its stubby arms. The irony of the giant teddy holding her this way is so great, anyone looking would not but immediately recall an image of the girl only a short while ago holding the stuffed bear in exactly the same manner. Its fiery glass orb turned toward the stage, Bubbles lips move in the manner of a wild animal growling terribly.

Spirit of Pinvendor |

- Mouthpiece and Corvin's goon: The man on the stage is flung directly into the goon of Corvin's gang that had been fighting alongside Armin. Not expecting this, the goon is too caught off guard to do more than mouth some kind of expletive before the both fall to the wet earth prone.
- Summoned creatures and persons: Any not already knocked down or bleeding out immediately fall. Any still living and conscious look greatly disoriented and not at all certain of their surroundings or what is happening.
- Flagged individuals on the map: The hysterical robed men and women all fall like wheat to a scythe. The goons that had been holding them off clutch their heads and appear to cry out.
- Cultists:

#4 sonic damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2Cultist #1 falls on his face, and Cultist #2 is pushed to his knees before Armin. His hood falls open and in this position his neck is exposed...
Cultist #3 keeps her feet and begins to look around frantically. Being very wary of Kalica's deadly blade, she flees into the night. Cultist #3 withdraws.
Cultist #4 never has a chance to resist the fall...as Kalica's blade has already robbed the man of consciousness. He bleeds terribly from the wound, and his body shudders as the wave of force washes over his otherwise still form.
- Corinne: The woman's face goes white and her mouth takes the shape of one rather nauseated. She stares at the figure on the stage even as her hand stays fixed in its pointing pose. With her other hand she reaches into her tunic but it is not withdrawn. She does not appear affected by the lyre's destruction in nearly the same fashion as the figure.
- Brokk: After the crushing blow dealt to the dark magic user, Brokk roars with satisfaction. Or he would have roared if there was any sound. What is this? he thinks as the enraging befuddlement this situation brings begins to mount further. As the wave of force rushes around and through him, Brokk turns towards the stage seeing the lone shaking figure on it as all else is thrown clear. Now this is not to be tolerated.

I believe some of you may have been holding actions until you saw how the NPCs responded to all of this. Please post quickly otherwise Round 5 will be closed tomorrow, and we will move onto Round 6.

Spirit of Pinvendor |

Round 5 is now over. Round 6 begins now.
Sound returns. Much wailing and yelling abruptly enters the ear from many parties crying piteously. Almost immediately a surprised silence begins as the return of sound in such a sudden manner disorients those making the horrid wailing. Most of the former combatants are merely confused and panic stricken clearly lost as to where they are and what has been happening. People and animals begin calling out again, raising quite the cacophony.
- The weasel chitters in fright and turns and runs into the night.
- The dog whimpers but remains curled next to the body of its dead master. It looks around frightened and shivering.
- Cultist 1 flees into the night just as Cultist 3 has done before him.
- Cultist 2 attempts to rise and flee as well, but he will need to escape the reach of Armin who could prevent this if he desires.
- Brokk lets out a shouted, "This ain't my fight!" He turns and stomps west back towards the inn. Of the minotaur, there is no trace.
- The armored dwarf picks himself up at the bottom of the stairs. "Where do I be? What happened?" he seems to ask the night.
- Corvin's goon shoves the bard duelist. "Gitoffameh!" the rough brute shouts.
- Mouthpiece however seems more worried about the figure on the stage and attempts to scurry on hands and knees towards the stage. A look of concern is on his face. "Master! The girl...the girl is here." Armin also has the choice to make an attempt to prevent this sniveling action as well.
- The pretty woman turns to Corinne. "What is happening? This isn't Sandpoint!"
- "It's...it's over?" Llewyn says looking at the normal sky. "Whew! Let's make sure everyone else is okay." He runs off to the west where Cerwek and Corvin are standing looking confused.
- Corinne looks at the pretty woman sadly for a brief moment then returns her gaze to the shadowy figure on the stage. "No...this is not Sandpoint, I'm afraid."
- The figure on the stage continues to chuckle especially after a crossbow bolt flies towards him and upon reaching him splats against his robe. It falls to the stage, but instead of a bolt, a sickly yellow slug lies in its place. It slowly begins to inch away.
Armin will have to decide if he will take an AoO and against which target it will be.

Armin Albright |

AoO on Mouthpiece.
Armin blinks, comprehension of their current predicament slowly dawning on him. He watches numbly as the cultist he had attacked earlier gets away, but turns his attention to the Mouthpiece instead. Not as it seemed, the true orchestrator of events, but someone who has caused them a great deal of trouble all the same. Moving one hand up the length of his weapon, the android attempts to drive the sharp, pointed tip of his planson into the sniveling man.
Without his nascent rage to fuel his blow however, it is a task easier said than done.

Roswitha |

Laugh at bolts, do you? Let's see what magic does, then, Roswitha thinks, scooting past the knot of confused former combatants towards the stage and raising her hand at the shadowy figure thereon.

Glen the Goblin |

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
While he attempts to help steady Arielle Glen's sharp eyes don't miss the small clues noting the downed men's bleeding stopped when the young girl touched them she was certainly an interesting one. "Arielle, are you well? Anything Glen can do?"
Unless there's something Arielle needs help with, Glen aims his crossbow at the mouthpiece ready to fire on the man if he makes a move at any of the others.
Readied action to fire on Mouthpiece if he takes an action against someone

Miyari |

Not much I can do against something like that, Miyari grumbles internally, eyes turning towards Mouthpiece. Taking a cue Glen, she readies another arrow, aiming it in his direction in case he tries anything fishy.
Readied action to fire on Mouthpiece if Glen fires a bolt.

Ali Harper |

Ali looks around in a complete panic, his vision was 'limited' thus extra reliance was placed on being able to hear well. The massive echoes of the snapping lyre and Miyari's tumbling form that put the youth upon the damp cobbles finally take it's toll. Panic ensues and he starts to call up a cloudy roiling mist around him....
'Too much blood has been shed, now I cannot even tell what's going on...' He thinks quietly as he tries to draw the heat from the cobbles and form a thick damp mist centred around him. 'If I cannot tell, then no-one can!' He hopes furiously...
"Cat-lady, you alright?" He asks from his prone position upon the floor.

DC 7 Sonic Blast (Keep Feet) Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Made saving throws on both burning hands and Sonic Blast. Kalica takes 3 points of damage total.
Kalica seethes in anger as she tries to shake off the singeing of her armor. The smell of burnt leather fills her nostrils. Hardly a chance to reel back from the burning hands Kalica spins on her heel trying to avoid the flailing airborne Miyari but clumsily escapes the collision only because Miyari lands on her feet.
Kalica laughs to herself. Just as I had thought, a cat always lands on her feet. Her humor quickly dies out as she encounters the devastating sonic blast that echoes painfully throughout her head. She clasps her hands to her ears and tries her best to retain her balance. She manages to pull it off. She then clasps her sword between her hands yet again and looks through the crowd to take in the situation.
She whispers to herself. I see you cloaked figure. Hiding in the shadows like a coward...soon...very soon you will taste my blade. She makes her way to the stage stairs willing to take out any who may be in her way.
