Vladimir Ducheski |
Vladimir asks the group one last question, in hopes of gaining clarity to what his companions want before speaking with the kobolds again. "Are we willing to go speak with their chief, not as captives, but rather as guests? Or are we wanting to go our separated ways regardless?"
I will make the diplomatic post (with an additional +6, +12 total, from the nobility domain, enhanced diplomacy, and aid another) when I get home from work.
Donovan of Restov |
"I am willing to make a good-faith effort."
Angor Yasok |
Sure you don't want to be a dragon? That's like +40 to diplo or intimidate for kobolds right?
"One of des days I will remain standing at de end of a fight," he says to Durielle, smiling. "Until den, I am glad you are here too."
Back to the point at hand though. Angor turns to the silent and poutin Sugua. Seriously, a man of his strength and stature pouting. "Everyone else has offered input but you. What do you want to do? If you say we do not care or want to listen to you den you are only half right. Your words carry wisdom and are appreciated but the way you say dem are not. Also, when has what others tink ever stopped you from speaking so far? Hm?" he says raising a playful eyebrow.
Sugua Bran't |
Sugua burst out laughing as it seemed like he was holding in alot. A loud and rancous laugh, he does a slow sweep with his Greatsword " HAHAHAHA! This is grand! I was letting you pups decide for yourselves! If you got yourselves killed or hurt badly I might have stepped in but some of you seemed to have learned a bit or listened to what I said earlier! I have dealt with those similar to you, they didnt take my words and got slaughtered.. I just watched and then cleaned up. Im not gunna soften my words to make you feel better so I let the situation do the talkin. "
Sugua points at Angor, " Like you for example, when was the last time you remember being conscious for combat?! It was when you rallied the group at the little massacre at the Post. Maybe you should try that first before separating yourself and leaping in! You are also a bit frail for now, stay in the back. Your words on the subject are good however! Don't go into an enemy's den when you cant take on the grunts! "
Sugua points to Tomas, " This one pointed out the obvious, We know of one place far from here! And we haven't tamed any of it, with a much larger group GETTING to the nest might be hard without attractin alot of attention. And then COMING back will be more dangerous without full resources! "
His word points to Khargol and Vlad, " Yeah Yeah and you all want to talk to them or whatnot, but you have to know Diplomacy only works when you talk to them ON YOUR TERMS.. not the enemies. From what I saw of your bandit-work I'm not to confident. Just tell them you'll support whatever faction they support! Something along the lines of 'We clear this area for you and support X' or whatever. Take advantage of the split while keeping yourself strong! HAHAHAHA! "
" All else fail.. we just kill them and go back, there's only eight of them left.. they seem about as weak as the bandits, no.. weaker.. and if this scares you, I don't have to remind you what others could do. THAT.. my opinion, take it as you will. "
Angor Yasok |
Angor rolls his eyes but is happy to see Sugua back in the fighting spirit. He ruffled feathers but he could analyze the situation well. The barb about staying conscious hurt but he knew how pathetic he looked so far. I mean I am a fricking crit magnet. At this point Angor believes diplomacy is over so its back to scarring the bejeebes out of some kobolds. He nods to Vlad to indicate he is going through with his plan. He slips into the middle of the group and begins casting, turning the figure of Vlad on his steed into that of a large red dragon, terrible and menacing. Its mouth glows with an inner fire, its nostrils bleed smoke and its eyes glow with intense power. And as Vlad and his horse move and speak, so will the image of the dragon.
Cast Silent Image over Vlad and his horse. DC 13 Will to disbelieve. Up to the DM as to what "interacted with" means.
Durielle Omenstar |
As a Large red dragon suddenly appears in their midst, Durielle steps back nervously.
Quietly she says, "Oh my. I certainly hope this doesn't anger them if it does not fool them..."
Durielle readies herself in case this complicates things.
Readied action for full defensive if the kobolds become hostile.
DM Tuyena |
Slight issue with using silent image in this way.
Figments cannot make something seem to be something else. This is from the PRD.
One could certainly use silent image in conjunction with an effect like ventriloquism to create the effect of a dragon. Provided the party was out of sight it would probably work. Such is not the case at the moment.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Sugua Bran't |
You could however make the dragon appear in the air I believe or in front, Behind, whatever. Ventriloquism could still work they just need not know you are the one doing it. Sadly I dont think Kobolds are stupid.
Vladimir Ducheski |
Perfectly fine. Shouldn't alter the intent of Vladimir's words much if at all.
After considering the viewpoints of his companions, Vladimir nods and begins to speak to the kobolds.
"Lae si tepoha said, yth re ti dout citari, thur geou yth qe. Majaktor batobot wux lowda udoka, sia kiabili geou ti gethrisj mrith wux sva nomeno tairais. Sjek wux ornla hefoc, yth geou tafiaf mrith dout Rimem Sootscale shafaer nogoorsa ordah, tenpiswo persvek ir xinor tairais."

"Chief Sootscale cannot leave the den currently or Tartuk will for sure betray us all. You talking to much, you prisoner now or we fight. Those loyal to Chief Sootscale never scared of fight. "

Vladimir Ducheski |
"They do not appear to be ammenable to our suggestions, sounds like hostilities will be resuming shortly" Vladimir tells the others before responding to the kobolds.
"Wi ornla hullphir yth ti slathalin, shar sjek batobot ui wer ergriff idol, zyak qe coi." Vladimir says, raising his blade at the ready.
Sugua Bran't |
After the speech in the odd language Sugua looks to Vlad ad then to the Kobolds in front of him, a widening grin showing across his face. " Well? Are they leaving in one piece or two? " If diplomatic relations went south He'd cleave one of them nonchalantly.

"Wer munthreki tir ti tekilek wer kult di Ibahalii Vuthaternock svent astahi! "
"The scaleless do not respect the rule of Chief Sootscale! Kill them!"
The kobolds seem pretty upset by this turn of events, theyve thrown down their weapons and begun to stamp their feet as if in a childish tantrum. Which would be funny, if their claws were not elongating at an alarming rate.

DM Tuyena |
Since a lot of actions happened I'll reroll initiative from Sugua attack. No one will be considered flat footed for this though.
Angry Kobolds initiative : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Alphonse: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Angvor: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Donovan: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Durielle: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

So Sugua, then kobolds, then the party.

Sugua Bran't |

" TIME TO RAISE SOME HELL!! "
Sugua looked at the Angry Kobold and checked to see how far it's head would Fly before stepping up swinging at it's neck

Donovan of Restov |
Doing his best to keep the party alive, Donovan launches another burst of channeled healing power.
Channeling energy. Since I can exclude only two enemies, I'll exclude whichever two injured kobolds are closest to me, if any. Kobolds that aren't injured, I don't care about.
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Vladimir shakes his head, disappointed by the turn of events, but attacks none-the-less.

I can't do ghost sound and silent image together yet but if someone can do the other we can have a nice illusion tag team. Just need to be creative.
"Mate ki te hunga tauine!"
Angor roars as fighting resumes. This time he doesn't bother with preamble and launches right into the chant to get adrenaline flowing and blood pumping.
I don't think I provoke but if I do, move back 5ft before using Raging Song. +2 to Str and Con and -1 to AC for those that choose. No mental skills except Int if you do.
Durielle Omenstar |
The bite of the angry kobold is grievous and Durielle feels as if her side has been torn from her body. Whether it has or not, just as suddenly the power of the Positive Plane is restitching her flesh and restoring her lost bodily fluids.
Reeling back slightly, Durielle is chagrined that this is what the party decided, especially in light of what has happened now. But as no one could know if they would have been able to escape the kobolds' king, this may have been the best decision despite the bloody work now necessary.
Durielle draws the Aldori Dueling Sword of which her lost love Veros had carried, she angles it so the light of the sun glitters of its keen edge and as well as reflects the future of the moment in her silver eyes. Aiming this directly at the kobold who has bitten her, Durielle says,
"Know now the future of your tribe that you have done this."
Intimidate (demoralize): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Move action - draw weapon. Swift action (Omen: once per day) - Intimidate
With that Durielle will take a step to the back and side holding the sword hopefully in a menacing fashion.
EDIT: adding a spell, since Sugua has convinced me I still have the action available.
Durielle lightly touches Donovan's back and transfer a glimpse of a moment ahead with her power.
Durielle casts guidance. The creature gets a +1 competence bonus on a single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check. It must choose to use the bonus before making the roll to which it applies. Duration 1 minute or until discharged. Saving Throw Will negates (harmless); Spell Resistance yes
Durielle Omenstar |
I turned my standard into a 5ft Move, but thanks for trying to remind me!
EDIT: Your argument has been accepted. Original post edited.
Khargol Uzgurn |
I be doggone. Why the heck wasn't that shield equipped? I owe you for that find, DM Tuyena. Thank you. I think HeroLab de-quipped it when I got that new bow and equipped it or something. Also, the stuff I said earlier about switching to a lighter armor? Forget it!
The battle now joined, Khargol roars his fury, turning his longsword against one the lizard between he and Donovan.
Longsword Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Doggone it. Yeah I'm definitely cashing in those first couple nat-20s now.
Alphonse Calderon |
Alphonse comes to, face in the dirt and sees a single kobold still standing over him and the music of Angor in his ears, he lets the power of the music bring him strength and prepares for any attacs the kobold may use against him
take the rage for this round and full defence, all other actions seems silly and will probly get me killed

Donovan grunts and shifts his position, trying to keep his shield up and between himself and the kobold. He brandishes his holy symbol again, calling for Ragathiel's blessing to assist the party.
Stepped back 5' away from the kobold that was threatening me so I could cast bless. Khargol's attack goes before the spell but everyone else should get the bonus on their attacks this round. If I don't get mauled this round I'll be trying to stabilize Tomas on the next round . . .
EDIT: Vladimir, the bless spell should add to you and your horse, too.
Sugua Bran't |
Sugua roars out and steps over the bisected Kobold bits onto the one who took out Tomas, " Where do you think your going!? You never leave your back exposed! Let's see how tough you REALLY ARE! "
His blade mercilessly came down on the Kobold.

Tomas is having a nice nap....at -2hp..what do I need to roll to stabilize??
A DC 10 Constitution check with a -2 penalty
Sugua Bran't |
Funny thing about being unconscious is that the raging song automatically effects you.. so at some points your character will fall... then immediately wake back up. So you won't be completely helpless and it assists in Con checks if you wouldn't be awake.. like for Tomas. And for Angor and Khargol.. just look at Vlad.. the Horse is doing most of the work there, otherwise he would be rolling once a round like you all. I guess try and get flanks. Oh and don't forget you had Bless for another +1. Khargol might need to accept that rage, clearly this is lack of favor for not doing so.
Durielle Omenstar |
As Sugua fells the closest kobold, Durielle sees an opportunity to assist the injured Tomas. Crouching she reaches down and places a hand on his temple. The oracle tries to find a future where Tomas is once again healthy.
