From the regiments deployed it's not common issue or even favored weapon, so it would be pretty hard to get.

Well, I'd say that the sample list that Gm Deiros put up is quite good.
The preysense allow us to take advantage of our mounts darksight and perform night raids.
The carbines allow us to switch between being lancers and carbineers as the situation demands.
Say charge through with the lance and then flank with the rifles for example.
Plus, when the terrain does not allow it, we can dismount and work as regular infantry.
Obviously, if we do that, the flak armour is also a good idea.
Right now, we have 2 protection in the head, 3 in the body and none in the limbs, with guard flak we get 4 all over.
All in all, those three items would make us pretty versatile and formidable.

So, if I was to roll for my personal item, which as my rank, which probably, while Specialist, is equal to Private now, do I roll vs. 30(Rank 10 + 20 Location)

Aw... The survivor in me wanted to roll 1 less, so we could have Storm Trooper Carapace. The RPG player in me wants to see what would happen if I were to Assail someone with a primed demolition charge. The Ork in me wants to see what would happen if we strapped 24 of them on a vehicle and let it loose on the enemy.
Also, those servitor parts should come in handy now.

No worries. I only played Only War once before, but once we ended up in an underhive with Ogryn-sized uniforms, 3 dozens of Grav Chutes and nothing else last time I rolled for Logistics, though, so, keep that in mind.

There are some doors enough for about 5 people, they are or were 10 Telumen soldiers.

I've moved up to a door about 40 meters away from them (in my first move), so that might clear one of the others around where the rest of the squad is.

GM, I wonder if it's possible to decide what thing I'm throwing with Assail? For instance, can I throw objects that are in someone's possession, such as a heavy weapon at the guy behind it? Or is the 'tear things up' thing just flavour? I'm fine either way, but beating a man to death with his own gun is even more spectacular when you're doing it from 40 meters away.
Also, Kelliber's Killers, hell yeah.
EDIT: One more question, since I obviously can't understand the book at all. I know Psyker powers, like anything else, have a range, which varies on the PR, more than anything. Do they also have Long, Short, and Extreme Ranges? It's just some of these questions that you can't get an answer for from the book, so I'm asking the GM that.
Also, what do Techpriests wear as underwear? Red Briefs?

Your control range is as far as the Psychic Power tell you, there is no different ranged like weapons for psychic powers, just up to what point you can exercise your mental strength and control.
The "tearing things up" refers at you could rip a floor panel and use that as a weapon, a piece of air duct, a pipe from a wall, etc...

Your characters won't die.
House Rule:
PC must receive additional damage equal to their Toughness, once their Hit Points reach 0. Each turn of combat after your HP is 0 or lower you lose an additional 1 HP.
Mediace Test takes a penalty equal to number of negative HP, when doing it during an encounter.
Yes you are fighting Telum common soldiers and 1 Sergeant. They don't get additional DoS vs, players.
