Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

Tanith falls back alongside Carina. He reaches back for Astraden with a healing touch.
Stepping into Krathanos's space. Casting cure critical and spending an AP to keep the spell slot.
Cure Critical: 4d8 + 15 ⇒ (8, 7, 6, 7) + 15 = 43
"Vignette! Keep them from working any more magic!" he calls out to his conjured ally.
Pixie readies to disrupt enemy spellcasting with her dispel magic.
CL Check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Farrukh Al`Khatel |

Farrukh charges temporal energy beneath his feet, and launches himsef at the Efreeti.
Full Round Action: War Lion's Charge; Charge attack, deals an extra 14d6 damage, and forces a DC 21 Fort save or be stunned.
Chaaarrrrge!: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (4) + 27 = 31
Damage: 1d6 + 21 + 14d6 ⇒ (1) + 21 + (4, 5, 4, 6, 3, 1, 4, 4, 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 6) = 76
Then he takes a moment to focus himself and regain his balance; mentally and physically.
Using my bonus Standard to regain my Time Thief's Talons Maneuver.

Dungeon Kobold |

The devil is still recovering from Carina's bombs when Cuetzpalli descends upon it and cleaves its hateful head from its body.
The efreeti sneers as he raises his massive falchion to knock the invisible Farrukh's strike away. A great clang rings out.
Round 3: Krathanos
Krathanos blinks rapidly, his wounds regenerating even as he struggles to recover from Zyrxog's power.
Round 3: Displacer Beasts
The displacer beasts bound forward and present the body of Darl Qethos to a very annoyed-looking Duke Malhazar.
Round 3: Not-Carina
'Rin' takes one look at the devil's body and grimaces. She shouts something in Infernal as she hurries towards the mounted efreeti, recovering from the last of Eben's spell as she goes.
Init Order:
Astraden/Carina (stunned for 1 round)/Clunk
Sabir Sinfire/Minotaur
Krekie/Eben
Cauchemar Nightmare/Efreeti
Farrukh/Cuetzpalli
Krathanos (Stunned for 1 round)
Tanith
Displacer Beasts/Other Carina
Round 4: Astraden is up, along with Clunk! Carina is using up her last round of Stun.

Eben MacTeague |

Eben's eyes narrow as Forzamale translates Rin's words into his mind. He looks down at Darl's body, conveniently deposited at the efreeti's feet, and clenches his teeth.

Astraden Limhaare |

Astraden nods in thanks to Tanith and air-jogs back into the fray. She fishes around in her pack as she does so and retrieves a small metal fork. "Hey, doggy. Welcome to the real world."
She *dings* the displacer beast carrying Darl's body on the tail with the tuning fork. A ringing noise with a faint hint of of crashing surf and the calls of lakegulls resounds.
Touch attack (good hope, haste, inspire courage): 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 12 + 2 + 1 + 3 = 21 Displacement: 1d100 ⇒ 86 DC 19 Will to avoid going to Material Plane.
Move to retrieve focus component, standard to cast plane shift and hold the charge, action point for another move to air walk down to the displacer beast, free action to touch attack. Could some kind soul move Astraden on the map for me? she should have 60 feet of movement, but needs probably to step down a few levels.

Eben MacTeague |

You really shouldn't need to spend any kind of action to pull out your tuning fork. Retrieving material components, including focuses, is generally part of casting the spell. You can probably save that AP, or put it to a different purpose.

Astraden Limhaare |

Swapping that extra move action out for an extra quick channel, in that case (meaning Astradenisnow out of channels). Selectively channeling, I think she only needs to exclude Sabir and the minotaur. Healing to everyone save, I think, Farrukh and Clunk: 7d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 2, 3, 3, 3) = 24

Dungeon Kobold |

Displacer Will Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
The displacer beast shrugs off Astraden's spell with a snarl.
Round 4: Carina
Round 4: Clunk
Clunk turns to the displacer beasts down below. "You should keep Darl's body away from the efreeti," he intones in truespeech, the language of all things. "Aren't you worried he will flee with Darl and abandon Zyrxog's body to us?"
Displacer Will Save vs. Quickened Suggestion: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
The displacer beast shakes its head as if trying to shoo away a pesky fly.
"Are you certain?"
Displacer Will Save vs. Suggestion Again: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
The beast hesitates. The tentacle gripping Darl's body lowers slightly.
"S*$@," the cauchemar nightmare mutters.
"Stupid beast!" the deafened Duke Malhazar shouts at the displacer beast. "What are you doing? What did he say to you?"
"Everyone," Clunk declares, ignoring the battle, "the minotaur has the feather. It would be unwise to allow them to escape with it."
I'll finish Sabir's/the minotaur's turns tomorrow.

Eben MacTeague |

Apparently, this is just not a good day to cast plane shift.

Dungeon Kobold |

Quick retcon arranged with Feral--the pixie hit the minotaur with a targeted dispel to strip away mirror image.
Round 4: Sabir Sinfire
Sabir races forward, twirling her guisarme behind her back. For a moment, Eben thinks she's rushing him, but she pivots on her heel at the last second and rushes to the mounted Efreeti. "Cretan, grab on! Krekie, don't. You. Dare."
Round 4: "Cretan"
The minotaur snorts, stepping up to Eben and rearing back--readying for something he expects Eben to do. But he takes one hand off his axe to reach back and place a hand on Duke Malhazar's knee.
Duke Malhazar nods, appearing to understand something despite his deafness.
Round 4: Krekie/Eben
Krekie's eyes glitter with indecipherable intent as she looks between the Duke, Sabir and the minotaur. She drops her crossbow and takes a step back behind Clunk.
Hide In Plain Sight (Good Hope): 1d20 + 31 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 31 + 2 = 43
And to most in attendance, the kenku simply vanishes into the shadows.
A moment later, Krekie springs from Eben's own silhouette and sinks her sword into the minotaur's gut.
Sword of Subtlety (good hope, inspire courage, haste, death attack, vs. flat-footed): 1d20 + 18 + 2 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 18 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 34 Displacement: 1d100 ⇒ 31
The assassin sags as her blade sinks into the wisps of illusion. Her head flicks towards Eben. "Belt pouch," is all she says.
Round 4: Eben is up!

Dungeon Kobold |

Did the displacer beast get/want to take an aoo on Astraden?
Oh, sure, you're gonna make me get out the Monster Manual again.
Bite: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (17) + 25 = 42
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6) + 4 = 12
The displacer beast snaps at Astraden as she runs into its range.

OK, complicated series of actions involving numerous specialized abilities from multiple different classes that rarely get otherwise used upcoming, please audit as needed to make sure I haven't made any errors:
"I don't know what I can do, Clunk..." Eben says to the kolyarut. "After all, his Dukeness here just pronounced me a rodent. Who am I to resist the dictates of an all-powerful genie?" Since the genie is currently unable to hear, it might be surmised that Eben's mocking banter is being done more for the entertainment of those around him than for any other purpose.
My lingering performance ends on this initiative count, but no worries! Starting a new Inspire Courage performance, using a move action rather than a swift. I have other uses for the swift this round.
"Of course... rodents like things that are shiny..." he says, clicking the final button of his glass rod. Within a wink of an eye, the air above the cauchemar's back erupts into a glittery pink whirlwind.
Casting Quickened, Extended glitterdust, targeting the 10x10 space where the efreeti was last visible. I assume he'll make the DC 19 save, but this is about making him visible more than the side effect. Although it would be funny if he rolled a 1 and Eben made him blind as well as deaf. Anyway, he's covered in pink sparkles for the next 28 rounds.
Eben capers a few feet back, out of Cretan's current range."And..." he adds, holding the now-expended rod out horizontally in front of him and then opening his hand and letting it drop to the sands below, much like one might let fall a hypothetical anachronistic vocal amplification device after making a particularly cutting remark in front of an audience. "Another thing about rodents?" He turns his opened palm to accept the bow flying out of his quiver into his hand, Forzamele creating his own blue shimmer along the length of the bowstring as he enacts his own magic.
Summoning my bow as a free action using Forzamele's leaping ability, Forzamale also using his own standard action to cast weapon of awe.
"When we bite something... we don't let go!" With his free hand, he draws an arrow from his quiver and very carefully and precisely nocks it. The green-fletched, vaguely translucent, arrow isn't one of his usual choices; in fact, the last time one of its kind saw use Eben was mindlessly emptying his quiver at the Harbinger of worms. This particular shot, however, is completely intentional. As Eben draws back and fires, his lips can be seen mouthing the words of a spell.
Using a phase locking arrow. Spending a Panache Point to activate my Dead Aim deed to target the Duke's touch AC. And, just for kicks, using Arrowsong Strike to cast acid arrow and have it delivered by my arrowshot.
longbow+good hope+inspire courage+haste+point blank shot: 1d20 + 19 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 19 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 42
Vs. Touch AC
damage+good hope+inspire courage+point blank shot+acid arrow: 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 2d4 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 2 + 3 + 1 + (4, 1) = 21
If it hits:
The arrow impacts the Duke very slightly, barely enough of a shot to do significant damage. More concerning, though, are the phantom-like emerald green chains of light that spring out from where the arrow struck. Within a heartbeat, they wrap themselves in anaconda fashion around the efreeti, before snaking their way toward the four corners of his body, wrapping densely around his ankles and wrists. Almost like manacles.
The Duke is dimensional anchored for 1 round. Also, it's probably minor, but acid arrow means he needs to make a concentration check to use spell-like abilities while it's in effect.
"Everyone, forget what I said before and KILL THE GENIE NOW!"
Eben's AC is 35 while Dance of 23 Steps is active.
Haste lasts 10 rounds on everyone.
Good Hope lasts about 135 rounds on everyone.
Everyone is under the effects of Inspire Courage (+3)
Greater invisibility is on Farrukh for 23 rounds.
Eben is personally buffed by cat's grace, gravity bow, and shield, likewise lasting about 135 rounds.
Eben is under the effects of arcane concordance (Extend Spell) for 12 more rounds.
Eben and Cuetzpalli both have +3 greater magic weapon cast on them.

Carina's eyes abruptly snap open.
ALL ACTION POINTS ARE SPENT!
Moving more or less on instinct, she snatches a dispelling bomb from her belt--
"NO! NOT AGAIN!" She screams.
And hurls it at the Duke...
...or, rather, at the churning winds surrounding him.
DISPELLING BOMB 30% MISS CHANCE: 1d100 ⇒ 38 OOOOOHHHHHH!
Dispelling Bomb vs. Fickle Winds: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29

Eben blinks as a glass vial goes zipping by his head, somehow faster than he can loose an arrow. "Hey, are you trying to upstage... oh, never mind..." his voice completely changes tack once sees the wind whipping around the efreeti dying down, allowing his own shot to penetrate. "Er... good one, Carina!"

Carina Viera |

Carina's manic triumphant grin suddenly flips half-circle and she clutches her arm. "Ow... I think I hyperextended something..."

Cuetzpalli |

I'm not up, am I?

Eben MacTeague |

The genie & nightmare go before you & Farrukh.

Dungeon Kobold |

Round 4: The Efreeti and Nightmare
Glitterdust Will Save (Malhazar;Nightmare): 1d20 ⇒ 121d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 9 + 4 = 28 Both successes.
Duke Malhazar shields his eyes with a hand as the pink glitter settles around him and his mount. This, though, leaves him open for a critical moment. Carina's bomb whistles past the winds by the sheer strength and skill of her throw and blasts a hole in the magic of Darl Qethos, Hierophant of Vecna, just long enough for Eben's arrow to fly through and pierce the Duke in the ankle.
His snarl of pain cuts short as the magic takes effect and he appears to realize what has just happened.
"How dare you?" he howls. "Do you know who I am? You rodent! You street pigeon!"
He kicks the nightmare into a gallop, guiding it to climb in altitude over the heads of Clunk and Sabir, and it charges at Eben.
Provokes from Farrukh.
Falchion (cavalier's charge): 1d20 + 30 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 30 + 4 = 35 Damage: 2d6 + 17 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 17 + 8 + 3 = 32 x2 = well. okay, then.
And at the last second, a speck of pink glitter gets in his eyes, and a swipe that should have all-but decapitated the bard goes completely over his head.
"F+$@!"
Round 4: Farrukh and Cuetzpalli are up.

Dungeon Kobold |

Oh, and Tanith is up, too. Krathanos's last round of Stunned goes by.

Cuetzpalli |

Cuetzpalli maintains his focus on the minotaur, stepping forward and continuing to slash at him.

Kelmarchen (AS, PA, Good Hope, Haste, GMW, Inspire Courage): 1d20 + 28 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 28 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 442d6 + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 = 452d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 81d20 + 28 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 28 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 472d6 + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4) + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 = 492d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 21d20 + 15 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 15 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 362d6 + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (5, 1) + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 = 472d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 81d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 202d6 + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (6, 5) + 34 + 2 + 2 + 3 = 522d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4

Eben MacTeague |

Since Dodging Panache is supposed to be a 'declare before a roll is made' ability, it's only fair for me to use this like I would have otherwise without the natural 1.
Eben sees the nightmare begin a charge, recalculates his incorrect assumption that the allies in front of Malhazar would have prevented him from moving forward to attack, and does his best to step away from the fearsome blow.
Spending my last Panache point to use Dodging Panache, moves me 5' northwest and gives me a +6 to AC versus Malhazar's slice.
Malhazar's sword misses by a mile even without Eben's fancy footwork, but being this close to Krathanos gives him an idea.
Forzamele relays a thought to the deaf efreeti. Of course I know who you are. You're the guy who's too scared to get any closer to our Spinosaurus, so I'm safe from here on out.

Astraden Limhaare |

Hmm, I seem to have missed that Astraden only had one channel use left when she quick channeled. Okay to handwave it with the use of an extra two action points? Channels at [0/7] if so, and hp at [56/123]. Action points at [5/12].
Astraden flashes a rude gesture at the displacer beast. "I'm not entirely sure what happened, there, but nice work with the efreeti, guys."

Tanith 'Kordson' Creed |

"Vignette! Do what you can to slow them down", Tanith calls out before moving forward to join the melee.
The tiny fey retrieves a tiny arrow glittering with pixie dust. She quickly strings an arrow and lines up a shot.
Using move action to move into whatever position is necessary to get a clean shot on Not-Carina. Firing a sleep arrow as a standard.
Sleep Arrow (Inspire): 1d20 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d6 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (2) - 2 + 3 = 3
If it hits DC 15 will save or fall asleep for five minutes.
The big man's muscles ripple with power as he enters the melee.
As he closes in on the efreeti, Tanith's heart races, his breath coming in short, sharp gasps. With a roar, he lunges forward, his massive frame hurtling towards the enemy with startling force. He reaches out with his powerful arms, his muscles bulging with effort as he grapples with the efreeti, his hands seeking purchase on the creature's massive frame.
Swift to spend a ki for AC bonus. Move to move into position. Standard to grapple.
Grapple (haste, good hope, inspire courage): 1d20 + 27 + 1 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 27 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 52

Damage: 1d6 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24
And if it still lives, he whacks it again!
Hitting it with that time Thief's Talons I recovered earlier.
Attack: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25
And a miss I'm pretty sure.

Dungeon Kobold |

Yeah, that's fine, Gark.
Minotaur Displacements: 1d100 ⇒ 121d100 ⇒ 521d100 ⇒ 99 All hits.
Cuetzpalli rushes at the minotaur to defend Eben and avenge the temporarily-dead Astraden. His rival bloodrager struggles to block the blows, but the grievous wounds have taken their toll. With Cuetzpalli's second blow, he slices up the minotaur's frame, and the hulking warrior falls to the ground in a bloody heap.
Not-Carina is still staring at where Carina's bomb blasted their escape plan into nothing, but she turns in time to duck the pixie's arrow. Meanwhile, Duke Malhazar looks at Eben with an expression of mixed rage and contempt. "Do you think me a--"
And then Tanith tackles him.
The efreeti is snarling, thrashing against the muscular Kordian's iron grip, when Farrukh swoops in and slashes across his leg. But the efreeti is still up.
Round 4: Displacer Beasts
The displacer beast carrying Darl's body seems to hesitate, then takes off with a wild hiss. One of the others races after it, while the third runs forward to grab Zyrxog's body off the ground--nearly trampling Not-Carina in the process.
Farrukh can take an AoO on the third displacer beast.
Round 4: Not-Carina
"Rin" delays.
Round 5: Astraden/Carina/Clunk are up!

Farrukh Al`Khatel |

Gonna swipe with Klaw, the Bull Rush might actually matter here for the first time in a while lol.
Farrukh sweeps out a hand to catch the Displacer Beast on his shield and throw it back.
Attack: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (16) + 24 = 40
Damage: 1d6 + 22 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 22 + (3) = 30
Bull Rush: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 38

Reflex Save (to avoid falling off): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
That very narrowly knocks it back 10 feet.
Farrukh knocks the displacer beast back, but isn't quite able to hit it over the edge. Still, he slows it down enough that it isn't quite able to get to Zyrxog and pick him up just yet.

Dungeon Kobold |

Round 5: Astraden/Clunk are up! Sorry, Carina's initiative should be changed to be in time with Eben's.
New Init Order:

Cauchemar Nightmare/Efreeti
Farrukh/Cuetzpalli

Astraden Limhaare |

Astraden air-jogs back into safety, raising her mask and pulling on her worn connection to Olidammara to bring just a little more positive energy to the currently violence-filled demiplane.
Healing: 7d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 1, 4, 2, 1) = 18 Includes Carina, Krathanos, Eben, devil (if they're still alive), Tanith, Cuetzpalli, Krekie. Excludes Duke Malhazar, nightmare, minotaur, and displacer beast.
Move (movement) and standard action channel (using an action point to get another use of channel, even though she's at 0) [4/12].
Wind walk lasts like 10 hours on Astraden, Carina, Cuetzpalli, Eben, Farrukh, Tanith, Clunk and Krekie.
Freedom of movement lasts like two hours on Cuetzpalli.
Veil on Krathanos lasts a bunch of hours.
Magic circle against evil centered on Farrukh lasts about 149 minutes.
Magic circle against evil centered on Carina lasts about 149 minutes.
Magic circle against law centered on Eben lasts about 149 minutes.
Magic vestment +3 lasts just under 15 hours on Clunk's cloak.
Owl's wisdom on Cuetzpalli lasts 142 rounds.
Shield of faith +4 on Tanith lasts 143 rounds.
Shield of faith +4 on Krekie lasts 144 rounds.
Communal air walk on everyone but Krathanos lasts just under 20 minutes for everyone but Astraden (for whom it lasts 10).
Spellscar lasts 1495 rounds.
Guidance on Cuetzpalli lasts 6 rounds (not yet used, right?).

Clunk attacks Malhazar from below, slashing with his longsword, but Sabir Sinfire's guisarme shoots out to parry his two most precise blows. Though always hard to read, Clunk's body language looks distinctly annoyed.
Round 5: Sabir Sinfire
Sabir's brow knits, and she appears to make a decision, stepping closer to the fight and swinging her guisarme in another brutal arc, teleporting mid-slice to Clunk, Eben, Tanith, Farrukh, Cuetzpalli and Krekie to strike all of them. Krekie is knocked right off her feet with a startled squawk.
Hammer of the Immortal: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36 If that hits (feel free to roll your own miss chances as applicable for a non-true seeing enemy, and Tanith, Eben and Farrukh have cover) you take 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (2, 3) + 9 = 14 slashing damage, take a -4 penalty to AC and CMB until your next turn, and are immediately subjected to a Trip attempt (note the penalty also hits your CMD). If it misses, ignore the following trip attempt.
Trip @Clunk, if hit: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (4) + 23 = 27
Trip @Eben, if hit: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (11) + 23 = 34
Trip @Tanith, if hit: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 40

Trip @Krekie, if hit: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (18) + 23 = 41
Krekie and Clunk both take the damage, but only Krekie is tripped.

Eben's AC is currently 35, so with cover, Sabir misses him again.
Eben, seeing that Tanith has the main opponent on the field well in hand, pun intended, decides that he's kind of sick of getting slammed randomly by someone and then healed just enough for it to happen again three seconds later. And now he finally has an opportunity to do something about that.
"Ms. Sinfire, think very carefully about your choices," he says as he starts to weave magic around him and yoink an eyelash out of his face.
Cast on the defensive, DC 23: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33
"You're losing. Even your daughter said so. Knowing Carina, she'd be really upset about us killing you and Rin. But you can still just stop fighting, and then your family line won't just... disappear."
He vanishes on the last word, though anyone paying attention can hear his voice shouting encouragement moving away from where it just was.
Extended Greater invisibility on Eben lasts 28 rounds. Since he is continuing to perform and inspire courage, I'm only going to bother with a Stealth check for the benefit of the deafened efreeti.
Stealth+invisibility, good hope: 1d20 + 6 + 20 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 20 + 2 - 1 = 31
Eben's AC is 35 while Dance of 23 Steps is active.
Haste lasts 9 rounds on everyone.
Good Hope lasts about 134 rounds on everyone.

Switching targets to the nearest displacer beast then, since Malhazar is no longer a threat.

Astraden Limhaare |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"Ms. Sinfire, think very carefully about your choices," he says as he starts to weave magic around him and yoink an eyelash out of his face.

"You're losing. Even your daughter said so. Knowing Carina, she'd be really upset about us killing you and Rin. But you can still just stop fighting, and then your family line won't just... disappear."
Astraden looks in the direction of Eben's vaguely inspiring voice. "Wait, you want to spare Evil Carina and evil Alessia? Then I want to spare one of the tentacle dogs. They seem harmless enough." She points to the one picking up Zyrxog's body. "Look, they can play fetch!"
Her finger slowly lowers as Carina (presumably) reduces the creature to a pile of charred bones.

Eben MacTeague |

"Killing Carina's birth mother while she watches seems mean." Eben'd voice says in reply, while also demonstrating that he really doesn't understand the concept of the 'go invisible and stay quiet if you want people to stop hitting you' strategy. "But it would be Carina's call, I guess."

Dungeon Kobold |

The holy bomb smashes against the forehead of the badly-injured Duke Malhazar, and its power sears the fire elemental like burning oil. The efreeti's death is quick, but far from painless.
The flaming horse stamps its hooves and snorts with distress as Malhazar is blasted apart. The water sizzles where it splashes against its flesh. "S@*!!"
Splash Reflex Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 Black Fire takes 18 damage.
The displacer beast whirls to face Astraden. "I am not," it growls, lifting up Zyrxog's corpse in its tentacles, "a dog. I am Zerces, Pack Lord of Ruin, Queen Among--" It looks up and sees a rain of bombs descending.
Holy energy rips through the displacer beast. It rips through the lingering foulness of Zyrxog's body, surges and rises like a tidal wave instilled with one simple commandment: Be nice.
Still, when the holy water subsides, the pack lord is still standing, along with the badly scalded corpse of its master.
Round 5: Efreeti/Nightmare
As the bombs settle, the nightmare looks up and sees the body of its rider slack in the saddle. It's hard to read a horse with burning eyes, but it does not seem pleased with how its day has gone. It turns to Sabir, smoke billowing from between sharp teeth as it speaks. "Sorry, Sabir. This job just turned unprofitable. Good luck with your little family reunion."
"Black Fire," Sabir Sinfire says.
Its form begins to fade into mist, along with the body of Malhazar. "Really nothing personal, doves. No hard feelings, either. It's just busine..."
It vanishes.
Cast Defensively: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30
Sabir stares at the spot where Black Fire once floated, then towards where Eben's voice echoes. Her mind seems to be racing.
Astraden and Carina hear--no, feel--the titanic Krathanos, beside them, begin a low, rumbling laugh.
Round 5: Farrukh and Cuetzpalli are up, then Krathanos!

Cuetzpalli |

Cuetzpalli steps over to the displacer beast and tries to end her.

The pack lord hisses and yowls as Cuetzpalli manages to land one bloody slash across her flank, but her illusionary form confounds him.

Farrukh Al`Khatel |

Farrukh charges at the tiefling, a little disturbed at attacking someone who bears such a close family resemblance to one of his friends...though the fact that she's undergone a drastic change in appearance lately makes it more palatable.

Dungeon Kobold |

Farrukh slashes across Sabir Sinfire's shoulder in two savagely efficient cuts. Her skin chips and cracks like scarlet porcelain, strengthened by Rin's spell but unable to withstand the sheer brutality of Farrukh's blades. On the second swing, Farrukh feels his blade strike bone--and crack it.
The tiefling falls back with a cry of pain, clutching her bloodied arm. Her eyes flick to Rin. Something in her appears to waver and give way.
"Okay," she manages, "we surr--"
Krathanos's chuckle rises to a thundering, crackling laugh.
"I have wonderful news."
The titan raises a hand. It sparks with blue flames. He smiles down upon the battlefield.
"I have four stones for three little birds to break under."
He claps his hands together. There is a sound like all the air leaving a space, then a strong burst of tinnitus, and then everyone's ears pop.
The salty spray of the beach is choked by the stench of smoke and ozone as a sky full of fire descends upon the world.
Four great meteors hurtle towards the party's enemies, accompanied by storms of smaller bits of flaming shrapnel and debris. As they descend, the four greatest meteors glow translucent with heat, and viewers could swear that there is a... being trapped inside each one, a small, screaming celestial being whose colored light pulses like that of a dying firefly. Krathanos's smile is utterly alien as reflections of the flames dance in his eyes.
The meteors strike as one, centered around Sabir, the displacer beast, and especially Rin, and explode in a sea of fire.
Crit?: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Displacer Beast Displacement: 1d100 ⇒ 98

Meteor of the Dawn Eladrin: 6d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 4, 3, 6) = 21
Meteor of the Burning Azata: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 3, 6, 3) = 26
When the flames part, nothing remains of the displacer beast but blackened bones. Sabir is lying on the ground, badly burnt and possibly dead. Rin stares at her, her expression nearly impossible to read.
Sabir takes 41 damage. Rin takes 59 damage. The displacer beast takes 79 damage.
So that's all four meteors targeting Farrukh, Krekie and Cuetzpalli, and just one (the Forest Angel) on Tanith and Clunk. Roll your Reflex Saves individually for each one that affects you (DC 26), but tally up the damage as a whole before applying resistance. A successful save halves the damage for that meteor.
Krekie Saves: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 2 = 171d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 14 + 2 = 291d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 2 = 171d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 14 + 2 = 30 Oh, geez. So fun fact: Assassins don't get evasion. Krekie fails against the Forest Angel and Dawn Archon and takes a total of 79 damage. If Astraden's channels hadn't been hitting her, she would be exactly dead. As is, she's at exactly 2/105 HP.
Clunk Saves: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 2 = 13 A third Nat 1. So Clunk takes 25 damage. Oh, wait, SR. Vs. SR: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (16) + 25 = 41 Yup. 25 damage. He's pretty fine, though.
Init Order:
Astraden/Carina (stunned for 1 round)/Clunk
Sabir Sinfire
Krekie/Eben
Farrukh/Cuetzpalli
Krathanos
Tanith
Displacer Beasts/Other Carina
"Beautiful," Krathanos says, more quietly, reaching down to pick up his maul. "What a beautiful morning it is, eh, Astraden?"
Round 5: Tanith is up.

To recap, I need saves from Tanith, Cuetzpalli and Farrukh, and the only enemy still remaining on the field is Not-Carina/"Rin".

Dungeon Kobold |

Krathanos blinks down at Cuetzpalli as if an ant has learned to speak.

Carina Viera |

Carina's eyes widen in horror as Farrukh first sets upon Sabir...
...and she lets out an even more horrified scream as Krathanos calls meteors of power down from the skies.
She stares at Sabir's body, her face almost completely white.
