So are you guys good to shelve the gold we have to save for better stuff? Get back to the dungeon?
Tofutee
bought forty. If the two of us pool out shares we could afford another Anytool.
Heck, we could get several.
Praink
I want to copy the ant haul scroll we got earler into my spellbook, along with the two free spells from leveling up (scorching ray and shadow anchor), so I'll need 11 hours out of the dungeon (8 hours of sleep + 3 hours of copying). If I correctly understand how we're doing things, I don't need to roll for the two new spells (just spend the time), but I do need to roll for ant haul. So:
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
I think that's a success! I think I'm ready now.

Aaaand Tofutee lead me to learn.
By the same logic that dwarves are resistant to alcohol because it is a poison (I'd argue a disease, as drugs in pathfinder use disease effects), plants are immune to alcohol. I haven't looked up fungi yet for the following example.
But what's cool is that common alcohols and rubbing alcohols do hurt plants, slowing growth or outright killing them. But the super simple methanol acts just like carbon dioxide for plants. It literally does a body good.
More rabbit hole later if I get bored.

I'm magic bacon flavored tofu. I don't worry about the whys.* The answers would likely drive my poor mortal mind past the brink of sanity to swan dive into the deep pools of madness.
Then I'd start drinking heavily, build time machines and go on random adventures with my idiot grandson.
*Though for real world it is always interesting to learn things like that.
Tofutee
Lets call it the following morning, 9-10AM ish.
Sounds like our caster will have a long night scribing spells ahead of them and Tofutee intends to go to every party she possibly can.
Don't suppose she sees any group of people with a big PC arrow floating over them in her all night long binge of various activites?
Also tofutee is likely out a chunk of gold, while she could be spending her money to repair her armor or purchase useful things instead she chose to go spend it on Ale and Coors.
Misty Prominence
It's not. :(
It's more that I just don't have much muse. It's basically 'go back to the same square we left... or go down a completely new path that will be completely randomly created'. I was expecting it to just be a light romp where I could be clever and witty and gain all the accolades of all the people throughout all of time... but I'm just not really getting anything. I've just been kinda following around for a while now.
In short, I've no problem filling the role and am working at being clever and entertaining... but I otherwise have little investment. Sorry :(
Terquem
I hear you Misty, and I tried to express this problem to new players when I recruit them. It is a silly game, goes nowhere (really) and the only entertainment potential is in the interaction of the participants
It can become tedious very quickly
So, by no means are you required to waste your time doing something that isn't fun, isn't giving you any bang for your buck. Don't play because you feel you are committed, play because you want to, and don't worry about hurting my feelings if you feel it has run its course and you need to move on.
I understand completely.
I try, but sometimes I fail. I'll try to keep the random generation interesting, and try to be a good participant myself ( I am still having fun, so there is that).
Misty Prominence
:p Having fun is the biggest thing... but responsibility is a big deal for me. If you have someone to fill Misty's shoes, by all means, snatch'em up! But until then, I'll hang in there and be everyone-but-bud's designated healbot!
It's not you failing, though. It's me being a different creature than I thought. There's also that nasty depression bug that goes around seasonally for me. I usually expand and contract, but other obligations have kept me from just destroying everything I love and moving on for a while. :) Darn maturity and such. :)
So don't at all feel like you're doing anything wrong. I'm here... I'm just not motivated as I should be. Apologies.

The opportunist archetype Changes how sneak attack works (and not that I look at it again) seems to eat my L4 rogue talent. Which is a shame as we have so few people in our group would want to benefit from that damage boost.
EDIT: Realized the URL was useless.
Which means that tofutee does in fact have Evasion and all the other taste-y rogue bits.
Like uncanny dodge, the reason why she is still getting her reflex bonus to a surprising trap.
Misty Prominence
Randoms: 13d20 ⇒ (16, 12, 14, 11, 12, 13, 4, 5, 5, 10, 1, 10, 11) = 124

As a side note. Never again.
Terquem
You didn't like doing that? Or are you just kidding.
I'll update the game tonight
Praink, Bud, and Larg - Seems you guys don't like the idea of rolling to generate the Dungeon, which is sort of the whole reason for being here
Let me know if you have decided that you don't want to do it anymore and I'll keep the game going by doing all the random generating myself
Terquem
Shoot, I wish I had made that clearer in the recruitment, you know, the whole rolling of a lot of dice to generate things. To try and make it easier, don't worry about rolling everything at once, just roll one or two, and then I'll update the game with what you know, and then ask for other rolls as I need them
The map is updated working on a post now
Misty Prominence
:p You mean... like... by putting it in the very first post? :)
I don't mind rolling the dice; that's not a problem. Digging through to see what everything means is the part that's a chore. If I had the proper way to open the file, I'd have links to click to guide me around, but unfortunately, I don't :) So I just wind up having to dig through it with page down and the like.
You haven't done anything wrong. It's mostly me. :)
Misty Prominence
Pretty much any time that the DM has updated the map and we have already interacted with a room to our fullest extent, will be a good time to see what lies down another hallway or the like. If there are multiple exits, picking one and saying 'this is this way' works wonderfully.
Tofutee
I might be at the front of the party due to my position of scout but if you have the time please feel free to roll rooms.
I seem to have horrendous luck with it most of the time and perhaps one of us will be fortunate enough to roll well on loot.
Misty Prominence
Tis the season to be busy.
My job picks up when school is out. I'm going to be a bit more busy for a while. This won't really affect whether or not I -do- post in threads, just the speed at which I do. Some days, I won't be able to really get posts in at work, other days it won't be very bad. Today is likely to be one of those days where I'll either post around noon, or not at all until I'm home.
I should still be highly responsive, just not nearly as responsive as you may be used to. :)
Tofutee
In effort to keep all things fair I actually already rolled for initiative before you kindly did so for me. Right here
I got a natural 1, grand total of 5. So I should be going after the Bloodhawk gang.
If you would prefer I go before that is also fine.
Tofutee
that sucks, wishing you the best.
Question, I take that Bud spent some of his action removing himself from the room?
I'm just trying to figure if Tofutee is taking the miss chance still or not.
Tofutee
So as we are in the middle of a combat and will be paused for another few days.
The hallways out of the room we are currently in go either west or south.
opinions on a direction? or do we want to wedge open the portcullis and head further down?
Tofutee
Lets see.
Largs attack pattern is as follows. Sword/shield/horns.
He has the combat buff of rage. Weapon focus longsword, and a sprinkling of feats to make shield bashing fun. Oh and Masterwork weapons.
So base hit/dam would go like this.
TWF
+8 1d8+4, +7 1d6+2, +1 1d6+2
TEF+Rage (drops his AC by 2, perhaps not wise here while facing level drain)
+10 1d8+6, +9 1d6+3, +3 1d6+3.
Oh and power attack in case more face removal is needed.
looks like his mods are -2/+4(2 offhand)
As for the direction we choose I feel like going south today unless anyone objects.
Tofutee
Ok, then unless someone else would like to ill go ahead and generate the next tile to the south when I get home.
