If I say party up, don't worry about posting order - since all of you move before my bad guys do.
GM Mort
There are certain things behind the scene actually. The perception score wasn't so much about the orcs jumping you, but again, well you might find out when the encounter is over. No surprise rounds were given, everyone rolled init normally.

I apologize for my lack of posting. First the sight went down, then my I took my daughter to the hospital and I've been seeing to her. Keep things moving. Just have Azmythe just follow along while contemplating the universe or something.. If I can't catch up today, I'll do so overnight.
If needed, in combat, he'll Mage Armor, use Sleep against a group of 3 or more, then use bow. Healing Hex where needed.
GM Mort
Also currently putting shifts as Robert + Azmythe, Ratel, Nigel, Hedran .
Robert and Azmythe on first shift since Azmythe is a caster and two on last shift since Azmythe has the lowest perception of the entire party.
Ratel Dier
that works Since Ratel can access darkvision. So I need to figure out how Bear's 'smell' ability works, how much do I add to perception for smell?

Having some sort of gastric issues. She's 26 and has been having stomach troubles off and on for about 10 years now. She can't stop from throwing up.
Yesterday she ordered KFC from Uber Easts (not good for her especially at this time). I told her if she's not going to help herself, I'm not going to sacrifice to help her.
Done with dad rant.
I'm now reading through the 60ish posts and will get back into things shortly.

:-)Yeah, the last several times I've eaten KFC it's tore my stomach up, hate to thing what it would do to someone with regular difficulties...
I hope things get better for her. Have they figured out what's causing the original problems or are they still sorting it out?

What? I eat KFC with no problems except getting fat. Again the list of things I eat..uh you guys probably don't want to know.
But ouch, sounds nasty. Usually the fix for gastric = milk, or antacids.
Glad to hear it's not something life threatening.

KFC is also having grilled chicken for the first time here. Will try it later for dinner. For Science!
Ratel Dier
yeah, no. If I'm doing fastfood grilled chicken it's Wendy's. If I'm doing KFC it's fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy...
Thus, the need for Pepto-Bismol at times
Sadly the only fast food I've done in the last six months is Arby's, I just eat the roast beef of the bun and throw the bun away...

I wish they had more fast food grilled stuff here. Long Johns silvers has Cajun chicken but other then that not much. Arnolds and wingstop, for fried chicken > KFC
Ratel Dier
Ussually if I'm going out for grilled, it's steak or hamburgers. At home I grill hamburger and pork chops the most, then sausage/gbratwurst, steak and chicken, in descending order. I grill fish the least. If I 'm doing chicken I usually will just add a Rotisserie to the gas grill and do a whole chicken over inderect heat.
I looked at the KFC site you posted, noted it was grilled quarters, I assumed it was a sandwich. huh, I didn't realize they grilled quarters. Still not sure I can do it...
Sinse I've been cooking for my mom we only eat out twice a week. Once with her and my mother in law on Mondays (usually Pizza Hut), then once by ourselves on Sunday (chipotle or some other salad).
I guess my wife and the moms eat out Sunday for lunch, but I'm asleep so it doesn't count :)

So in theory, if Ratel tamed the wolves he could train them, then teach others the commands, so they would obey them. But the wolves would not advance, so they would always be 1 CR animals.
GM Mort
Yeah but you might want something other then goats pulling your cart :P
If any of you keep them around till the point you get an animal companion, then yes they can become your animal companion when the time comes, and advance as one.
BTW I’m feeling particularly young =P I’m probably the youngest here.
Ratel Dier
yes, you probably are....
As for the wolves I was going to snark about hooking them to the cart and it going 90ft but I decided to leave it alone...
Hedran

At our current level, they might still prove to be strong allies, but yeah we would probably need to keep them away from the goats.

Hmmmm, not sure I can muster the two feats for that....

You may very well be, yes :D

Short swords are martial weapons, which Nigel does not have proficiency of.
For loot, wait for Quartermaster, Nigel to get here. Maths eats the thoughts out of my head, so I'm not maintaining a loot sheet, unless absolutely necessary.
Ratel Dier
I'm not sure how you guys are getting the cart down, either =p
hhhmmmm, alignment infraction! Mort has shifted two points from Lawful Neutral towards Lawful EBUL
Edit: well they are goats, maybe it's just one point...
GM Mort
Awwww. But aren't cats evil to begin with?
Anyway what ye doing with your wolves and goats?
Hedran
edit: I didn't specify, but unless I put it in, Ratel is unarmed and unshielded, oh and his 'shift' is always + 2 str and +1 armor during the day, darkvision at night, or possibly inside, I will specify when I change.
Ratel, mind if I ask exactly how this works? I am unfamiliar with the class :P
Your mutagen works for the whole day?Or is this from being a Skinwalker or something else?
There are ways to get the cart down. Just get creative =)
How much does the cart weight, GM Mort? Maybe two or three of us can lower it by STR alone? And do the same with the goats? Now with the wolves I dunno...
GM Mort
Skinwalker:
A skinwalker can change shape to and from a bestial form as a standard action. In bestial form, a skinwalker gains a +2 racial bonus to either Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution. While in this form, a skinwalker also takes on an animalistic feature that provides a special effect. Each time a skinwalker assumes bestial form, she can choose to gain one of the following features:
2 claw attacks that each deal 1d4 points of damage
Darkvision to a range of 60 feet.
+1 racial bonus to natural armor.
GM Mort
We'll say the cart itself weighs around 20 lbs. Unfortunately all the stuff you have on it is at least 150 lbs.
The goats and wolves can follow down by themselves.
GM Mort
The stuff on it is a whole different ball game though.
Ratel is going around permanently with a furry problem.
Ratel Dier
@ Mort, First of all, cat's aren't evil, their just selective...
@ Hedran, what she said, skin-walker She approved the race for another applicant, so I asked her if I could use it, I think it Synergizes well with the class.
Right, he can 'shift' three times a day plus half class level. but he's at -4 charisma with humanoids, so he's not the 'face' :-)
GM Mort
The first book of Ironfang invasion gives a variant skinwalker at the back so I was like, okay.
Hedran

I have two cats at the moment, and I am going to say one of them is evil :D

Got it, got it. Like I said it is a really nice class ability - basically a physical stat and natural armor bonus included, along with Darkvision? You agree it is really nice, right?
In any case my second question was more along the lines of what is your 'bestial form'? So I know what we are dealing with here :D
Is it this? 'his face elongates becoming a muzzle, his hirsute grows to cover his face, the pupils of his dark brown eyes become vertically slit instead of round and his overall posture becomes more stooped; as if appearing to run on all fours at any time.'
Ratel Dier
Ratel Dier
The first one is very bear like, which is ok, It's still more 'humanoid.' the second one is more badger/wolverine, which is what I wanted to go for in mutagen form. The name Ratel, is a 'honey badger' so trying to fit a theme...
Of course the gear is different, but it will change anyway as he advances.
Ratel Dier
@ Mort, ok, back to the game, so what is the goats minus to acrobatics if they are pulling the cart down this mess?
And what is the roll for going back up?
