Well, unfortunately its gotten to th point where my depression cannot allow me to focus on this game any more.
I have to step out of the game sorry all. If you wish to continue as a group, please feel free to recruit a new DM. Hopefully someone who can keep tings lively for you.
Apologies, but this is how it is for me at the moment.
Bitha Sark |
If we could find someone to continue running for us, I'd be up for continuing the game.
Narrator Prime |
Bobafett Aloysius |
Bob appears to be a hobbit, and he wears a leather riding duster as he traveled around with his dog. Currently, Bob's prized possession is a shirt of mithral chain from the people of Torch.
Bob was a jaded celestial, his original purpose was to free halfling slaves, he made many a hobbit friend as he and his dog traveled to work with the Flower Network. After many years of a many rewarding, but fairly tame assignments, he noticed he was becoming estranged from all his friends. He had ran into Khonnir Bane in his travels and formed a lasting friendship, and Bob visited Khonnir occasionally. Khonnir helped Bob make his original firearm, and taught him much of what he knows about tech.
Having found about his disappearance, Bob is anxious to help find him and provide any help he can to Khonnir's daughter.
I would like to get that gritty future meets fantasy feel from the iron gods AP. I have been playing in a few APs, but none like the Iron Gods.

Bitha is a robot/android hater, even though she's only really met one I think. It attacked her and the group put it down. She doesn't realize that two of her party members are actually androids. She quite likes those two, so when she figures it out, there will be some soul searching along those liens.
Her rural tribe's ancestors told her of the horror androids and constructs could bring. She has accepted those tales without question.
She's dead set on bringing back all of the villagers taken by these dastardly machines.
Oh, and thanks for your interest in the game, DM.
Bitha Sark |
Have you ever run a PBP campaign before, DM? Would you be okay taking up the mantle and providing regular updates? We generally post at least once per day, and sometimes we are even quicker than that.
Alyna Dolette |
Hello Divinitus.
Here's the scoop on Alyna.
Alyna is an android and a devout cleric of Brigh, goddess of invention. She is very inquisitive about the world, especially technology, and is always seeking new tech to bring to the Temples. Recently she's been experiencing strange 'things' that make no sense to her logical mind (emotions). Eventually she will get the Emotional feat so she can benefit from morale bonuses. Also, she may or may not dip into gunslinger at some point for the guns (and techslinger archetype if she does).
She also really likes fire.
Divinitus |
Bitha, I have run PBP campaigns, but I am new to Paizo. Does that make sense? Some of my buddies used to have a campaign going on Facebook, Obsidian Portal, and Roll20. I am perfectly fine with taking up the mantle and providing daily, if not bi or tri-daily updates! One need only look at my recruitment thread for Throne of Night, located HERE to see that I post multiple times per day. Yesterday was a bit slow with only 1 or 2 updates, primarily because I was over at a buddy's house hanging out and playing Magic the Gathering.
Alyna, fire is good!
I have decided to take on the mantle of GM. If you could contact the other players while I make my preparations, we will be good to go!
Bitha Sark |
Awesome! Thanks so much for agreeing to take out little band of adventurers on...I'm happy to continue on exploring!

Well, any MtG fan has got to be awesome. I actually started with black bordered alphas and still play on Cockatrice occasionally. Try the computer game etherlords 2, you can pick it up on Steam for a song, and the European voice actors are quite funny.
Any time you would like to start. I can create the maps for you to link in the campaign tab and show you how to organize your campaign tab. You may need to get the board to give you access as DM or, much easier, create your own campaign. I use google docs and upload the pdfs from the module. I have not grabbed Iron Gods as I want to be surprised, but I can create the maps no problem.
GM Ghost in the Machine |
You're welcome!
Bobafett, what is your preferred format? I'm a Modern and Commander man, myself.
I would very much appreciate map uploads, as it saves me a bit on the workload. My Google Docs has some issues at times.
I will email Paizo about taking over the campaign, so hopefully I should have GM rights to the thread in a few days.

I like modern but haven't played much lately.
Before you begin the hating, I liked three decks, Splinter Twin and Birthing Pod decks as well as the dreaded Blue white green control decks.
I like to have a great combo (Splinter Twin and Birthing Pod give that) with great value cards that can win on their own). Aggro decks have their place, but I never liked them.
I like modern because you don't need to be rich to get a decent deck.

Just a note I will be away for roughly the next couple of days, beginning about lunch time tomorrow. I've got a road trip to watch my basketball team in the ncaa tourney tomorrow night, heading directly back home and sleeping about two hours before heading to work on Friday. I'll probably pass out after work on Friday, and it will be Saturday before I get back into the swing of things, then hopefully I'll be heading back on the road trip for the next tourney game.
GM Ghost in the Machine |
Bobafett, Splintertwin/Spellskite is INSANE in a RUB control deck and is really fun to play. I can make some people /ragequit fast. Nice Abzan-color deck by the way! I learned Magic a while back from my PTQ-winning buddy, who actually won in Alaska's pretty competitive MTG scene a few years back, and have been crushing souls ever since! I actually have a blue/black control deck for standard built around clones, Thought Sieze, Chasm Skulker, and lots of draw, counter, and other control effects. It is quite sadistic, if I say so myself, and gives the current Abzan Midrange and Sultai Whip decks absolute fits.
Bitha, that is perfectly fine, as it will likely take me a few days to get control of the campaign, catch up on all of the posting, and get the thread moving!

GM GIM, here is a link to my Mummy's Mask game. In the campaign tab you can set up an initiative block and, you can put links to maps in the short description of the campaign tab and they show up at the top of every page.
I use google drawings and then cut and paste tokens from images anywhere as tokens.
Bobafett Aloysius |
Actually, I just used control print screen to move the maps into google drawings from the interactive pdf. Since I subscribe to the AP, I have all the maps. I just didn't download them until now as I prefer to be surprised.
Then I put a rectangle over areas to hide them, and I grab monster tokens from the web. Google search for clockwork servant, save your favorite image as a png or jpeg, and upload it into the google drawing. Each character can cut and paste their avatar onto the document too. Let me see what I can make. Ok I added my Bob token and grabbed a clockwork servant image doing a google search in images for pathfinder clockwork servant, it is that easy. Since I gave everyone viewing and editing privileges, the drawing is accessible by all. All characters can move their own tokens, and, if you summon a wolf, you can add your own wolf token.
This is the url https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1Ls3IstBeX7fQ0vPUoip8RaTHcJVtxKp4r21j2eI w4nQ/edit?usp=sharing
I cut and paste it from the browser, but google drawings gives me a new one every time I make a new one.
Anyway, I would suggest you get your own google account for free and use google docs, it is easy. Note you can add the rectangles to cover up the parts of the maps and add any token you want. Hope this helps.

I'm going to send a pm to them this evening, just to be sure. They sounded interested originally, I thought.
Suna Razorfang |
*pounces on Bitha*
The spirit of the Hunt is never gone.
Yeah I just havent checked the thread lets see after reading things I have to see what to say about Suna.
Suna is a catfolk tribal Hunter. He enjoys the thrill of preying on worthy creatures and has slight issues one constructs in general as they are not natural. However he does recognize them as powerful prey. Suna is raspy and overall s=slightly intimidating, from his tribe they often have Titles attached to their name as to designate their job or abilities. He is designated as Hunter for his ability to bring forth nature's aspects upon himself and for expertise in such areas. Suna is also Highly protective but isnt very good at showing such manners. He is considered wiser than most his kind but by no means a Shaman.
He knew two of the members smelled weird and of creatures he fought before but he did not let that stop him from assisting them. If he found out however.. his emotions would be conflicted.
Bitha Sark |
I pm'd Alyana as well. She just posted last Wednesday that she still wanted to play, so there's a party right there. No arcane, but I'm sure we can make do. If we get rolling and hit a good, point, we might think about recruiting for one in the future.
Bitha Sark |
I'd be fine with that, Suna.
Bitha Sark |
That would be awesome, DM!
And welcome to Hilda! Rage without me burning my rounds....I'm all about that!
Suna Razorfang |
I post when there is need to post. So if someone is posting to Suna or there is a situation to do so.. I will post back normally. That can be one post if no one else does or may posts a day.
Bitha Sark |
I usually post at least once in the am and once in the pm, if there are posts to respond to. If not, then normally once a day. And I am posting for eastern time zone in the U.S.
Some days, when I'm in the office, I'm like Suna and can bust out multiple posts in a single day.
Hilda Skalmöld |
East coast, I can churn out one post a day or ten, all depending on need.
Since we're in an interim, how do you feel about 20pb GM Ghost? :P

I'm not saying we should take amplified Rage. But we should take amplified Rage.

Hmmm... trying to think of how we can incorporate those extra points into the campaign. I would like to introduce it via a story event, if everyone is ok with that. A nice boost would be in order for PCs, given a few 'squick points' in the AP where the difficulty is ramped up a little further than may be acceptable for long-running PBP games. Also, I would like to give PCs a boost so that they can invest more of their feats and such into things that are flavorful and that they want to take, rather than just the 'core optimization' necessary to survive.
Hey Suna, we're all Orcs at heart: kill our enemies and take their loot! Sure, we're sociable and have morals, but those are just nice side-benefits of being an adventurer! :P
Hilda, what is your backstory?
Also everyone, the final PC should be showing his face soon. I will post his character while he creates his profile.
