Special Abilities
-------------------- Constructed (Ex) For the purposes of effects targeting creatures by type (such as a ranger’s favored enemy and bane weapons), Alyna counts as a humanoid and a construct. She gains a +4 racial bonus on all saving throws against mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, and stun effects; she is not subject to fatigue or exhaustion, and is immune to disease, emotion-based effects, fear, and sleep effects. She can never gain morale bonuses.
Emotionless (Ex) Alyna has problems processing emotions properly and suffers a -4 penalty on Sense Motive checks.
Nanite Surge (Ex) Alyna’s body is infused with nanites. Once per day as an immediate action, she can cause her nanites to surge, granting a +8 bonus on any one d20 roll; this ability must be activated before the roll is made. When Alyna uses this power, her circuitry-tattoos glow with light equivalent to that of a torch for 1 round.
Trait - Nanite Revival: Once per day as an immediate action, Alyna can command her nanites to stabilize herself while she is dying, even while unconscious or helpless. This does not count as a use of her nanite surge ability.
Description:
Alyna is an attractive female android with a slightly smaller frame than most androids—standing at 5’7” and weighing roughly 160 lbs. She has blonde hair and her metallic eyes have a blue-green hue to them. Her circuitry-tattoos on her face, neck, and chest and arms are the same shade as her eyes.
She is most often seen wearing a large leather work coat. The coat is accentuated with bronze buttons and is covered in bronze gears that she has collected over time and attached to her coat. A large button in the shape of the symbol of her goddess, a female mask with a forehead rune, is attached to her coat above her left breast (the coat is fancy way of describing an armored coat, with the gears being the ‘metal plates’). Beneath her coat she wears a blacksmith’s apron over her studded leather armor, and brown leather breeches, all accentuated with bronze buttons. Burn marks can be seen in numerous places on her clothing and coat. She keeps a pair of worker’s goggles resting above her eyes on her forehead, ready to utilize them at a moment’s notice. For defense she carries a light hammer—the preferred weapon of the followers of Brigh—and a light steel shield.
Alyna is a devout follower of Brigh—the goddess of invention—ever since her awakening. It was a follower of Brigh who had activated her pod, and Alyna instantly felt a connection to the goddess when she awoke. Wanting to know more about who and what she was, she began to research information on the strange ruins and timeworn technology scattered throughout Numeria.
Alyna's research has brought her to Torch after hearing about the town's namesake suddenly ceasing. She is sure there is more to the situation than people think, possibly even more information explaining who, and what, she is.
Future Plans:
Alyna is going to continue researching timeworn technology, eventually getting the Craft Technological Arms and Armor feat, possibly even the Craft Technological Item feat. At 2nd level, however, she will get the Technologist feat, allowing her access to the crafting feats. She also may get the Robot's Bane feat, symbolizing eventual studies into Numerian tech. Other than that, the direction the campaign and the needs of the party will determine the route she takes. I'm sure many feats will include those that boost her healing capabilities. Craft Pharmaceuticals may be a good choice for her as well.
Other feats she may get are all racial feats for androids, including Empathy, which removes the emotionless trait (and the immunity to emotion-based and fear effects, as well as the bonus vs mind-affecting effects), and able to gain morale bonuses. This would symbolize her 'evolving' and learning about emotion from being around non-androids.
