Lol Suna!
"We are not food, plant! If you stop attacking us, we will do the same! Perhaps we can find you food somewhere...
Narrator Prime |
The plant creature whines a litte, holding itself tighter with its tendrils and rocking back and forth slightly.
"The only food I've ever eaten was the delicious .....Blood? You call it blood."
"I don't know what to do....what to say. I don't know who or what I am! Please....can you help ma..ma..meeeee!" Again it seemd to break into sobs, completely breaking down and finally losing its mental communication with the group.
It was like feeling a hangover just disapear. The fogginess of its thoughts had disapeared from their heads, even though they hadn't realised how much it was affecting them.
Combat over as far as the creature is concerned. Nausea has finished as well for those affected. We're going to run this without Zlota for the forseebale future. Assume shes with us but don't include her in battle plans at this stage. Her player may or may not return but wish to give them the same time I gave another player who dropped out a while ago too.
The creature is currently helpless in its distraught state and able to be coup de grased if that is your wish. Something this telepathically powerful could be a real danger in a place like Torch. Or maybe you can reason with it and see what comes of that. Interesting situation for you guys to resolve. Feel free to OOC chat about ooptions in the discussion thread.

Suna rolls from the ground once more.. his stomach settled and glares at the plant.. but.. cant bring it within himself NOT to understand the creature somewhat. He moves over to the plant ant looks like his claw is going to rend its boy as it shakes but instead places it gently on the plants tendrils.
" You say.. you know noting, but eat Blood and people. That is wrong.. eating another sentient being is wrong. But since you have no name you are not yet people. So we shall first give you a name. Calm yourself.. you are about to take responsibility. Tell this Hunter, Suna. What is it that you like the most? From that we can give you a name, from the name you shall learn. Rather than calling you.. Plant "

Bitha stood by, wondering if she should simply swing her sword and end this creature's miserable existence. If it has a taste for humans, how can we ever trust it to be around people. Like a feral creature, it might be necessary to put it down.
Alyna Dolette |
Alyna stares at the strange creature quizzically. "If you do not intend harm on anyone any further, then I am sure we can come to an agreement. If you renege on an agreement or try to deceive us, then we will have no option but to retaliate in kind."
Narrator Prime |
The tentacle beast tensed at Suna's touch, then seemed to relax into it, almost pressing against the hand. A feeling of wonder echoed through the room, as if feeling something amazing for the first time wa being channelled through them all.
The voice again spoke in their heads, more subdued now, less loud and aggressive than previously.
"I don't know any other way to communicate than through your heads." it whimpered.
"Is there some way to get the food I need without harming you? Is there other foods I can eat? The lights in here hurt me, dry me out if I stay out of my home too long. What of your world up above, I saw a bright light in the roof of that place when looking in the short ones memories. Will it hurt me too?"
At Suna's request for its favourite thing, the creature merely shrugged mentally. "So many things I am experiencing for the first time. The air that sustains me, the taste of ..blood, your touch. All of those are wonders to me. Yet you tell me one is abominable and punishable. How can something so amazing be considered so foul?"
As it spoke, it was apparent the creatures vocabulary was becoming more elegant. It was learning at an exponential rate it seemed.
"I will not harm you, or others like you. Yet how can I survive if the nourishment I require seemingly derives from the very substance sustaining your own life. This puzzlement baffles my thoughts at this point. Between the five of you there must be some sort of solution. Perhaps if you let my mind travel through your memories more freely I could discern a pattern of acceptable response to the quandary at had. Will you allow me to enter your thoughts and learn from you the means to my own salvation?"
Narrator Prime |
I think we're bogging down dealing with a moral quandary here. Let me help things along. This is a highly intelligent creature who you could easily befriend. IT needs food of meat and blood, but it can get that through hunting in these tunnels and the underdark. It wouldn't survive the upper world for long.
Suna has the right of it, at the moment it is like a child, however it is learning rapidly and since you are the only ones who have shown it both kindness and punishment, it considers your group its friends.
If you wish, we can assume it will remain concealed in its housing until you return from further forays. Then it will accompany you to the outer tunnels where it can move and hide freely. It can act as a guard or warning for you in future forays if necessary. Even better, it will hunt the tentacle creatures from the desert for food quite successfully. Cheers
Suna Razorfang |
Hrm no I was just wondering what to say more than anything, you dont have to worry I figured it out I'm just a slow typer sometimes and have to get ready for work soon I'll have a post up in a moment
Bitha Sark |
I think the DM has a good idea. For the time being, we can let it hang out in the tunnels, eating the vermin and other small creatures in the area. We have to make sure it doesn't get frustrated and leave, going looking for people though.
Narrator Prime |
The fungus creature immediately latches on to the thoughts of the domesticated animal and the Ghelarn from the desert. Having riffled through the memories of Suna, with his permission, the brain like thing purrs in delight. "Yes, these can sustain me, allow my intellect to grow and better assist you my new friends. I will hunt these Ghelarn, as you have shown me Hunter Suna. I will feed and grow in strength until I am fit to be one with the tribe!"
It was a voice of exultation and a feeling of belonging ran through their minds.
Moments later, the group had once again assembled near the doorways at the far end of the room. These ones opened with ease as Boba swiped his black card. They barely hissed as they opened, revealing a wide corridor that travelled for twenty feet before T-junctioning.
A number of doors could be seen, but more importantly, the sound of heavy, metallic feet could be heard moving somewhere in the corridors. Another robot was moving down there somewhere, out of sight but for how long was anyones guess.
The blood trail picks up gain here, leading to a series of double door about 40 feet away. The T-Junction has another door you can just make out. There's a distinctly fungus like aroma in the air. Like mouldy bread.

Sorry for the absence. Working 12 hr shifts (graveyard shift to boot) and it's been a little bit hard to post as often as I'd like. I only get a few minutes a day to do so, so I have to pick and choose which games to post in. >.<
That being said, I was actually thinking of suggesting the ghelarn to the tentacle creature.
Alyna remains at the ready, knowing full well the danger these robots may pose to the party.
Bitha Sark |
"Do you hear it? There's another one down there," Bitha hisses quietly, waiting on the others before charging ahead.
