Dead characters just means re roll a new one if you're happy to keep playing. I won't recruit new players unless one of you decides to leave the game.

As for the Orison, swap it out now if you want.

Was good to see nanite surge in action too. May just save your bacon here.

Female Android Summoner 2, HP 16/16, AC 14 Fort 0 Ref 2 Will 3, Init +2

Sorry I'm falling a bit behind, pulling extra work due to busy season @_@

I'll post shortly.

Female Android Cleric of Brigh 2 (Iron Priest), HP 15/15 AC 14 (13 without armored coat) ; Fort +3, Ref -1, Will +5; Init -1; Channel Energy 1d6 - 4/day (4 left)

Moved mending to the domain SLA's, and added guidance to the list of orisons, and fixed my AC to match my shield being utilized again.

Norm, note that precise strike dropped the -4 to hit the bleindheim due to combat with Bitha. Unfortunately it still gets cover bonus as you're trying to shoot through Ksilis' square and Alyna's square. They grant +4 AC to the thing which counts towards touch AC.

Its touch AC in this case was 18 with cover.

Cheers

Haven't heard from Norm in a few days. He's posted in some of his other PbP's but seems he may be out of town or something. I'll give him another day or two before working out what to do.

PbP need regular posts to keep moving I've found. We're doing great, but it's hard if one of the 4 players stops without notice. If trouble pops up, I'll DMpc him until the fight's over or Norm returns, whichever is first.

Cheers.

Female Android Summoner 2, HP 16/16, AC 14 Fort 0 Ref 2 Will 3, Init +2

All else, you could send him a message, see if he's still interested.

And I also apologize for my lack of posting. 'Tis the busy season at work, and normally I'd be able to post some during the day but orders keep coming in, phones go off the hook and corporate keeps doing random check-ins...

Absolutely I'll message him. I'm just giving another day or so for him to get in touch. I'm pretty confident there's a legit reason for it all. Sometimes life happens and we can't get on to post. You are proof positive of that Zlota, and lower posting is very valid in your case. It's great you let us know too.

However ,I'm also committed to making this game keep going. I had one die on me once from two players who stopped posting suddenly. We waited too long to deal with it and momentum was lost.

I'd like to set a hard limit of a week without someone posting before I make contact. After that, we'll make a choice as a group on what to do.

Cheers

Female Human Barbarian (Numerian Liberator) 2 | AC 15/11/14 | HP 28/28 (32/32 while Raging) | F+5, R+1, W+2 | +2 morale bonus on saving throws made to resist spells, supernatural abilities, and spell-like abilities. Init.+1 | Percept.+6 | Sense Motive +1 | 8/8 Rage rounds today

Sounds good to me, DM.

Female Android Summoner 2, HP 16/16, AC 14 Fort 0 Ref 2 Will 3, Init +2

Sounds good.

Ok, moving to discussion. Plan to be a capable scout and technologist. With no trapfinding or disable as a class skill, we may have to hope our fifth can handle that.

I will add a riding dog and a leather duster to complete the western feel of the ex-hobbit sheriff. Packing his trusty side arm, he is out to do the most outrageous deeds of daring to feel alive again.

My first level skills are
Kn (engineering)
Kn (local)
Perception
Stealth
Ride

I plan on adding these skills at two per level as I keep Perception, stealth and ride moving constantly
Disguise
Acrobatics
Sense Motive
Climb
Bluff
Sleight of Hand

Female Android Summoner 2, HP 16/16, AC 14 Fort 0 Ref 2 Will 3, Init +2

May the force be with you, Boba.

The campaign trait gives me disable as class skill and +3 with my technologist feat to defeat tech traps. So I am good to disable traps, especially tech ones!!! Ditched Knowledge local for now, pick it up next level.

Need to make my background tie in with Val now.

The game starts in tunnels that are under water Boba.

We're going to just suspend belief for this part and allow you to lead your dog underwater if you want. Since you're small, and riding a dog, you can do that in the tunnels beneath town.

However, you may want to invest in handle animal for certain combat situations that would scare a normal animal.

Level 2 isn't too far away though, so keep it in mind for that.

I'll tie you into the game thread tonight.

Hoping Ulrik gets his character together soon so I can get him in game. If not, we're moving ahead anyway.

Cheers

This will be the character I just got home from a 10 hour shift but now have the day off, Will have the character done and ready in the hour. Was waffling on either having a 14 str and 12 Con Or vice versa.

You chose correctly :-)

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

Hrm? Not sure if Serious..

Either way He is versatile enough and can hit like a truck either way. Can tank if he need to as well.

I was serious. Effects CM, CMD, damage.

Though with these new Dex to damage feats like slashing grace, STR may not be as important for some.

I added a rank in Handle Animal and delayed stealth a level.

Look forward to hunting with you Suna.

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

Well considering Bolt Ace adds Dex to Damage with The Crossbow of your Choice at the designated level and I have the ability to as a Swift Action adjust any Physical stat or gain some other bonus, It was more a choice of Durability over offensive capability.. because I will be Up there with Bitha most likely.

As the Voice clip i have for this guy " THE HUNT IS ON "

Str will always be important overall because it is much harder to deny.

+11 Perception tho.. Muy bueno.

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

Hrmm Everyone seems to be missing... normally there are posts around this time.

nice intro Suna. Got a real feel for him already. And yes, I remember thunder cats with great fondness.

They've started making a new version too apparently. Haven't seen it, but my kids tell me its around.

I'm done for this eveneing, but starting tomorrow we take the plunge again. Knowing how most of the cats I've come across hate water, Suna should have a ball with the diving hehe.

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

Bitha, Im curious did you have anything specifically planned for yourself.. featwise?

@GM Oh goody goody... As far as the new one I saw it, the style was different but the spirit is there.

Female Human Barbarian (Numerian Liberator) 2 | AC 15/11/14 | HP 28/28 (32/32 while Raging) | F+5, R+1, W+2 | +2 morale bonus on saving throws made to resist spells, supernatural abilities, and spell-like abilities. Init.+1 | Percept.+6 | Sense Motive +1 | 8/8 Rage rounds today

Sura, I haven't thought that far ahead as far as feats and the like goes. Any suggestions?

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

I didnt really I was just wondering If our characters grew closer we might use teamwork feats down the line.. really I can change Suna to be a kind of Switch hitter if necessary.

Female Android Summoner 2, HP 16/16, AC 14 Fort 0 Ref 2 Will 3, Init +2

Busy day yesterday (semi-busy today too), but I'll make a post in one second. Also, glad to have you on, Suna.

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

Glad to be the holder of good times to come.

I see boba is blending quite a few genres into his character. Even a blade runner reference in there. :)

Just a side not for everyone. Let's try to leave character secrets as reveals for those characters please.

Androids aren't very obvious as androids according to the rules and descriptions I've read so far. They can disguise themselves visually without trouble.

I like that Suna thinks they smell different, but let's not assume he can work out they're androids just yet. Just suspicious is all.

Taking my kids to karate now. Will post an update when I get back.
Cheers

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

Yeah I didnt reveal them at all its just every creature has certain smells and he just thought they smell different. It was enhanced by the smell of robots which they collectively had. Clearly they were not considering their make up. He would think they are tribal members who developed want for technology which is a different beast all together. The Glowing runes are much akin to tribal warpaint.

A note on the alchemical ice.

In its vial form, it can target a single five foot square for lots of cold, and splash each square around it for small cold damage.

Alternatively, you can freeze an entire 5 foot cube of water, which is about 1000 litres. That weighs 1000 kilos too though. Breaking up that ice would allow it to spread over the entire cavern easily enough.

I'm assuming at this stage that it's just in vial form, but let me know otherwise. If it's the cube of ice, Suna isn't climb it with it hehe, at least till it's broken up a fair bit.

Just to summarise.

She has offered to
- retrieve the body for you.
- Offer information on others who have been through.
- She may offer equipment she has found

You have accepted to clear the Gremlins from the tunnels.

Some other bartering may still occur afterwords, but this is pretty muc all that's likely to occur at this stage.

Everyone happy to progress from there?

Female Android Summoner 2, HP 16/16, AC 14 Fort 0 Ref 2 Will 3, Init +2

Ready to go, put me in the second row.

Female Android Cleric of Brigh 2 (Iron Priest), HP 15/15 AC 14 (13 without armored coat) ; Fort +3, Ref -1, Will +5; Init -1; Channel Energy 1d6 - 4/day (4 left)

I'll post later after work. I'm on my phone right now and forum coding is... troublesome. Apparently they blocked paizo.com yesterday on our work computers. . >.<

Running around with a D6 weapon with no mods going up against DR 5.

Not going to be fun.

If it's any consolation, they can only do 1 damage per attack, and are apparently unhappy being in combat.

Their AC and DR is nasty for level1 though. Especially in cramped quarters. Maybe this is why the grey folk had so much trouble.

I'm getting the impression some of you are feeling frustrated in this situation. If so, let me explain some stuff.

- The module popped these gremlins in a set of tunnels that on the map are less than 5 feet wide in most places.
- There are traps in it too, some of them hardto spot, some of them easy.
- Gremlins see in the dark, so if you're carrying a light source, they're going to see you coming before you see them most of the time.
- Gremlins are Fey. They have very low hit points, but they also have DR 5/cold iron. None of you were prepared for that, neither were the Grey Folk.
- As far as i can tell, this would normally be very lethal for a party, especially since as its written and drawn, they could circle around you and hit you as a single line of characters squeezing in narrow chambers. This would prevent movement and getting your powers to bear since the tunnels twist and you wouldn't see half the fight.

What i did to make it more viable for PbP
- Split you up to tackle individual gremlins rather than eventually have the party hit by three at once (which would happen).
- This also means everyone gets to act rather than sit there frustrated in a tunnel they can't move through while one or two others get attacked.
- Also, the Gremlins are written as preferring hit and run tactics. They have a few things they can do to complete this tactic, incliding a spell like ability. The module itself says they'll run of they feel very threatened. Some of them have just done that as a response to your actions.
- I have been generous in making them not try defensive measures to run and avoid AoO's. I figure that when they panic, they aren't thinking straght. Gremlins are not tactical genius' so I feel that what I'm doing is in character. They seem to be more evil and tricksy in a "we cant be seen and we can curse you too" kind of way. They don't like direct combat.

Hope that explains things a bit. I seriously recommend that all of you are prepared for a hard AP. This one has took the kid gloves off. Probably in response to some of the complaints being made in the AP threads.

I'm also running it pretty close to the AP as written, with leeway for critters to react to your actions appropriately.

Cheers

It is a challenge and you are using good judgement. Some of my characters are known to run around with cold iron and alchemical silver daggers, but it didn't seem appropriate here.

Having us all get to play rather than have us all in a tiny tunnel was a great idea.

Female Android Cleric of Brigh 2 (Iron Priest), HP 15/15 AC 14 (13 without armored coat) ; Fort +3, Ref -1, Will +5; Init -1; Channel Energy 1d6 - 4/day (4 left)

I agree. You're doing a great job.

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

It is quite frustrating, not because I wouldnt do anything but because I know I can, it just requires prep or higher rolls.. which isnt an issue its more the AP seems skewed somewhat n this one area.. Heck if Suna had hit it probably would have died. Im just going to hunt them down as needed.

Boba, I think the diving tumble past the gremlin and subsequent shot to its forehead deserves a grit point. Plus you get one back for killing it I believe.

The diving manoeuvre was pretty impressive, and only actually possible since you don't have to squeeze yourself, given your small size.

Female Android Cleric of Brigh 2 (Iron Priest), HP 15/15 AC 14 (13 without armored coat) ; Fort +3, Ref -1, Will +5; Init -1; Channel Energy 1d6 - 4/day (4 left)

Why is everyone all of a sudden posting in spoiler tags...
O.o

Female Android Summoner 2, HP 16/16, AC 14 Fort 0 Ref 2 Will 3, Init +2

Makes things easier, I assume, for the DM to know what group and such.

Male Catfolk Feral Hunter 2| HP 16/16| AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +1| CMD 16 | Init +3 | Perception +8 (+12 Falcon Focus)

Because we are separated in groups and would not know who did what until we spoke to each other or met up.

Suna nailed it. I spoilered this section so things in the tunnels were more chaotic and unknown for you all.

The idea of the spoilers is so no group actually knows what's going on with the other groups. I get the impression that folks were reading them though, and that doesn't phase me at all.

In this situation that's not such a big deal, but in future, the game experience is actually more enjoyable if you don't read spoilers for other group members. None of it will ever be game breaking, and I certainly won't go off at any one for it, but spoiler tags can be used for some very cool gotcha moments and some very cool "aha" moments in games. Most players are good at separating player knowledge from character knowledge, but sometimes it's cool when the player gets caught by surprise as much as the character :)

I can use private messages as well, for things I definitely don't want others to know, but they take more effort than spoiler tags so its not something I want to use often.

Cheers

Female Android Cleric of Brigh 2 (Iron Priest), HP 15/15 AC 14 (13 without armored coat) ; Fort +3, Ref -1, Will +5; Init -1; Channel Energy 1d6 - 4/day (4 left)

It was mostly a rhetorical question. I knew the reasoning behind it, I just felt that it was interesting that everyone started doing it with little (to my knowledge) coercion. So, I guess it was merely an observation.

Female Human Barbarian (Numerian Liberator) 2 | AC 15/11/14 | HP 28/28 (32/32 while Raging) | F+5, R+1, W+2 | +2 morale bonus on saving throws made to resist spells, supernatural abilities, and spell-like abilities. Init.+1 | Percept.+6 | Sense Motive +1 | 8/8 Rage rounds today

That's generally what's done in PBP games when the action splits. I don't even think to mention why anymore, lol.

Yeah, I don't rage much with Bitha. I've been planning on having her rage only against constructs, or someone using a bunch of technology against her. Or when the chips are really down and looking bad for the group, of course.

Its fine, it was more of an observation than anything.. When it comes to Robots however, I think they will have much in common.
