He's been raised to do The Job. This Job is full of talented amateurs he feels obligated to guide. It's killing him hahahaha

Ton'iel Wexley |

Put it at the top of whatever you have written in the campaign info tab. It'll always be at the top of the page then. That's what J do in my games

Garfaulk Sharpstone |

heh, thanks! You had said to put a Garfaulk spin on it, so I couldn't resist. If you guys want more like that, lemme know, I'll do my best! Worth the day delay to get it? Couldve posted sooner but then it would've just been info, not a "song"

Charles Caskgrip |

Thanks! Not everyone got much "screen time" but most of them got to pop up a bit. Reading over, it's a bit more disjointed than I'd hoped, but I guess composing fiction isn't normally done while distracted in an office, ha.
Garfaulk: loved the song idea! When I played a bard, I'd write lyrics but never to a tune. So fun!

Garfaulk Sharpstone |

Thanks Charles! I tried diverging original but couldn't make lyrics work, and as I looked to describe the music I was going for, Firefly piped into my head lol

Ezekiel "Zeke" Smith |

I'm pretty sure no one thought to look for tracks. I mentioned something that looked like a trail on the map, but I don't know if that's something that was visible to us.

Charles Caskgrip |

Yeah, we stuck to the wall, just trying to figure the spot out.

Ezekiel "Zeke" Smith |

Everyone? The way the summary reads, it looks like Zeke is the lone voice for continuing.

Charles Caskgrip |

We're continuing, but making it safe first. Don't want to leave with Khonnir, spent from a major battle, and find something between us and the exit.

Ezekiel "Zeke" Smith |

There are two positions: one that we should return to the desert and continue from there to search for signs of Khonnir Baine, and one that we should thoroughly explore the caves at the front of the map. Zeke's position in the argument was the first. Did everyone else take the second position? That's what the summary seems to say, as I read it, so I wanted to clarify.

GM Mustache |

This was missed: As the group gathers their equipment and heads back into the open desert, Zeke stumbles over a little metal piece of junk. Curious, he reaches down and picks it up. It is a clasp of some sort, perhaps usable for attaching a cloak to a tunic or armor. It is intricately designed with metal whorls and swirls.

Ton'iel Wexley |

Work is kicking my butt today. Will try to grab some time to post meaningfully later but this is a reminder more than anything to change my spells for the day.

Ezekiel "Zeke" Smith |

You know, it could be that starting this morning, Zeke's voice doesn't feel quite as invasive to Charles or Wulf. Maybe they are getting used to it?

Charles Caskgrip |

Pretty sweet random item! Frickin swarms, man.

PREPARED PER DAY: L0: 4 | L1:3

There's a plug-in for Chrome called Lazarus Form Recovery that I use all the time on this site. It stores everything you type in a form field and then if you submit and something goes wrong, you can quickly get the most recent copy back. I can't tell you how many times it's kept me from having to retype everything!

Wulf Torstein |

Thanks Paul, I hope I can keep this up.
Zeke I have heard about that before, I looked it up as I assume it was in the website for chrome but nope. So thanks for the link.

GM Mustache |

Hey guys, Happy Monday. I just want to profess my thanks for the consistent posting that we have had on this thread. I am now a player for...(counting...) 6 other pbp threads, and most of them are less than 2 months old and just dying for lack of posts. Usually that is the GM's fault (only in one is it the players fault), so I am committed to posting as much as I have to to keep your interest.
The most important thing we can do to make this a successful PBP is keep momentum up with regular posts. Even if you have a busy day, get something up, spending the 2-5 minutes that it takes. Not every post has to be long and complicated, I mean, look at Charles.. and he still contributes in great ways with tiny posts.
Thanks all and let's keep up the good work!

Garfaulk Sharpstone |

Sorry for the delay on me today, haven't been able to get on roll20 to see what's up, work been busy, and yesterday was birthday! So I've been a hair distracted

Garfaulk Sharpstone |

Random thought-Scattershot vs Swarm. How would that work, if at all? or is that a wait-and-find-out kinda thing?

GM Mustache |

Happy birthday!! And nice shot on those oozes. Pretty awesome.
Interesting thought on that... I don't know if it is addressed in the rules. Since it is an AOE, I guess I would treat it as such on a swarm, but it is also physical damage. Hmm. Ok. For a fine swarm, which normally would be immune to physical attacks, I would say half damage. For a tiny or bigger swarm, I would say normal damage. Unless you can find scattershot rules that give an official answer.

Charles Caskgrip |

Happy Bday! You're pretty young for a dwarf ...

Garfaulk Sharpstone |

Thanks everyone! Had a great time, and like a proper dwarf, got a nice bottle of burbon from my pals lol.
and cool for the AoE

GM Mustache |

You guys have probably picked up on this by now, I run this game slightly different than I said I was going to... I decided not to do perception checks for you, since I like the idea that you are actively looking for something and you take the initiative to do so.
Also, I don't put spoilers for knowledge rolls, or prompt you to do knowledge rolls. I want the players to come up with the idea that you should be doing a knowledge roll. I hate knowledge roll spoilers, I'm assuming everyone reads them whether they made the roll or not. At least I do in the games where I am a PC...

GM Mustache |

I visited the inventory page and moved a couple of things around based on who is holding what. Gave Wulf the grippers because he will be the one doing strength checks. etc etc.
Garfaulk I noticed you did have numbers for your gun ammo and I just wanted to make sure you were tracking it. Since it costs a decent amount of money, I want to be sure we track bullets. I don't care about arrows.

GM Mustache |

Welcome LaRA! In case you all haven't figured out, she is not me as an NPC but as our new player! I'm interested to see what this now magic heavy party is able to do together. I hope you make her feel more welcome than poor Varrad-- out of game at least.
I've been talking to LaRA for a while now- a few weeks I think, ever since it was clear Varrad was not coming back. Took you guys long enough to get to her!
LaRA, the spreadsheet link I sent you has two tabs of interest, 1) a place to store your equipment. This has come in handy already as people forget who is carrying what. And 2) A place to store your normally used rolls. This is optional, if it is convenient to use. But the equipment tab is an expected part of the game.
And on the very top of the page is the link to the Technopedia, those few bits of technology that the party has found so far. More will be added as you find more.

Garfaulk Sharpstone |

Yes, welcome! Alas getting close to Varrad proved tricky since he wasn't here, but Garfaulk absolutely wants to make celebs with an android! :D
Edit::and I've I get home from work today I'll fix my ammo, been taking it on my computer there, sorry bout that

Ton'iel Wexley |

Awesome to see you LaRA! I liked your concept from the start and wizards are probably my favourite class, really looking forward to you joining the team :)

Wulf Torstein |

Welcome aboard LaRA. I look forward to playing with you, don’t take Wulf to serious he takes awhile to come around to new people.
Tom and I are UK time also so that’s nice we arnt completely out numbered now.

Charles Caskgrip |

Yayyyyyy!

Ezekiel "Zeke" Smith |

Welcome LaRA! Looking forward to incorporating you into the group.
I’m going to be a little slow to post this weekend— my daughter is visiting and my stepdaughter is in the hospital, so I’m pretty harried.
