Welcome players, please keep off topic things confined to this thread and not the gameplay thread.

Hello hello! Thanks for the selection!

Hello one and all. Thank you for running this game GM Browman.

The gameplay thread is up.

I'd just like to point out that this is a wisdom based party. We should be swinging around all folksy aphorism, all the time.

The conversation is raising a few interesting points.

How expensive are books? Which largely translates into when the printing press was invented.

In general, what is the tech level, at least here? Guns? Faux medieval or faux renaissance?

Is it OK with us just inventing minor world details?

I'd like to make a minor change to the character. I realize that Platros definitely should have knowledge local trained.

In the university books are fairly common, but probably all hand written. In most cases not to the same artistry that a lot of hand written medieval stuff was.

The world is mostly medieval, guns are very, very experimental.

Yes, creating minor details is definitely ok, the world as a whole is still very much a work in progress.

Changing things slightly at this point is ok, once you go through the sending stone to Agerach things shouldn't change.

Part of the reason I set up this campaign was to you guys ask questions like this so I know what details need more attention. I will also try to get a world map up this weekend.

So I think I already had most of what I needed before getting the stipend, which is part of why I added most of it into the pool.

Out of the money that I kept, I think the only thing that I'd have bought would be a Compass? I can't imagine that I'm the first choice to physically draw the maps since there are others more scholarly.

At any rate, right now I have:

- Inquisitor's Kit (Backpack, Bedroll, Belt Pouch, 10 Candles, Holy Text, Flint and Steel, Iron Pot, Manacles, Mess Kit, Rope, Soap, Spell Component Pouch, 10 Torchs, 5 Days Trail Rations, Waterskin, Wooden Holy Symbol)
- Compass
- Small Tent

I still have ~20 gold left, and I think the party pool is at ~150? 25 from Platros, Tukata, and Norman, and 75 form me. So, yes, what other stuff do we need? Obviously some kind of pack animal or two. More tents. What else?

Silver Crusade

I'm also fairly well prepared. I have all the basics (although not a tent)

We need to pick up at least one, possibly 2 chroniclers kits (40 gp each), bunches of extra food and water and a bit of firewood.

I went through hero lab and grabbed all the stuff I thought appropriate. Including a donkey :-)

Grand total of 155 gold. The only really expensive item in there is a skeleton key (85).

Other Gear bit and bridle, canvas (sq. yd.) (4), compass[APG], crowbar, feed (per day) (4), firewood (per day) (5), fishhook (3), fishing net, hemp rope (150 ft.), ink, black (2), inkpen (2), journal[UE] (2), measuring cord (10 ft.) (2), pack saddle, paper (10), powder[APG] (2), saw[APG], scroll case, shovel, skeleton key[UE], tea (per cup)[UE] (10), teapot[UE], donkey, 37 gp, 7 sp, 1 cp

So, if everybody agrees to that it would be 40 gp each, the remaining 60 to spend on a dire rabbit, chocolate, or whatever.

I can agree to most of that, but I think we can find fire wood there. Kindling at least, and we can use a saw to if we really have too. I'll cover a large tent(30gp) so we have better starting shelter.

What do you say to good old 10ft pole and grappling hook. For those hard to reach places?

Silver Crusade

Given that the firewood costs less than a gold and since we don't know where we're going it seemed a good insurance policy :-). Grappling hook and 10'ft poke is a good idea.

You guys have about 8 hours to indicate that you want to do something else before traveling to Agerach. I will have the next post up after work today.

On the assumption that we all agree with the above purchases and all spend 40 Platros is going to split his remaining gold as

10 gold piece worth gold bar
2 50 silver piece bars (10 gold total value)
5 50 copper piece bars (2.5 gold total value)

The rest in various exotic spices.

He'll then spend the rest of the time in the library, perusing what material there is on Agerach

Anybody home?

Are you still recovering? Or has this game died?

I hope to update tomorrow.

Checking in

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Been super I'll past week. Should be able to post again

Are we down to just the two players ? Or are the other players just waiting a bit?

I have contacted the other two players, one said he should be posting soon, haven't heard back from the other one.

Silver Crusade

At this point I am more or less assuming that this game is, at the least, on a long term hiatus. I'm going to stop checking it on a regular basis.

If it starts up again please send a PM to this account and I'll resume

Unfortunately that is probably the reality. I have been to busy to given this the attention it deserves and for that I apologize.
