Hakon, back on his feet, moves towards the sound of fighting and begins his raging song.
Reminder: Hakon can give all allies who accept it a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution, a +1 morale bonus to Will saves, and a –1 penalty to AC. Allies can accept the bonuses and penalties on a round by round basis, but while accepting the song, they can’t cast spells, use abilities requiring concentration, or use Intelligence-based skills, Dexterity-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, and Ride), or Charisma-based skills (except Intimidate)

This will end the fight! In the backpack of the one ratling you find the bust. Her allies carry the other stolen relics, which include a set of embossed bronze offering bowls, a string of prayer beads made of silver, and a collection of holy symbols of Aroden from different regions of Golarion.
Remaio who has followed you in a safe distance happily accepts the artefact of his familys past. What to do with the other items?

Grove
As Remaio promised in his letter, he has hired a small riverboat to take you to the edge of the Verduran Forest, where he has arranged for guides from the wildwood lodge to meet them. As the boat glides to a stop among the sweet-smelling blackwood trees on the river’s edge, a gnome woman with twigs braided into her hair waves to the boat’s pilot. A small bear waits patiently at her heel, while a red-bearded dwarf glowers over her shoulder.
Once you leave the riverboat, the vessel’s pilot wishes them well and promises to wait here for their return. The gnome introduces herself as Trajet. She also introduces the dwarf, Polgrin, and bear, Firepaw.

Quinn takes a moment to look over the gnome, the dwarf and the bear before introducing himself
"My name is Quinn and I am pleased to meet you."
Quinn then steps aside so his companions can introduce themselves.

Hakon is pleased to at least be in the forest as opposed to the desert. "Hello, I am Hakon. Are you the guides who will take us to the speaking blackwood?"
| Helikon |
The dwarf introduces himself as Polgrin but does not speak again. They grudgingly guide you through the forest.
Upon hearing the effort to start a conversation by Hakon and Quinn the Dwarf mutters "Perhaps it would be best if you all just left the
forest.” This suggestion earns her disapproving look
from Polgrin, but the gnome does not elaborate. But as soon as the halfling brings the topic to the tree, he stars to tell in extrem detail, how it was given the gift of speech by one of his ancestors so it could explain the damage that the Taldane nobles at the time were doing to the forest. You learn that since then, it’s become an advisor and judge for the local druids.

"The sooner we can petition this blackwood tree, the sooner we can get out of your... fur. Does it have any other name or title?"
Lem is always eager to make friends with everyone he meets.

While explaining they just call it heart of the woods they lead you closer to the tree A rain-fed stream rushes between the trees, back towards the Sellen River. The canopy above is thick enough to cast the area into green twilight and provide home to the dozens of birds chattering above. The path breaks away from the stream to the southeast, leading past a small clearing that holds several weathered tombstones.

@ Lem you have no idea.
Ignoring your words the gnome leads you onward and you reach the center of the Forest.A massive old blackwood tree stands at the side of the trail. Sheets of moss cling to its bark, covering it entirely except for a jagged crack that suggests a mouth.
As you reach the blackwood Trajet calls out to the tree, asking for its judgment against these outsiders. "Oh wise and mighty please grant us permission to punish these outsiders who shame the Wildwood Lodge with their bribes and treat the sacred tree as a mere servant.”
With a gravelly voice the tree answers."I will not grant your request. For one they are our guests and second we have to be respectful to other people way of life!"
You can say something!

"Punish us? I think this party has been pun-ished enough already. We're here to learn of the past from an honored elder."
What was the check for the tombstones? Other people have some knowledge skills, too. Quinn has history, I know.

It helps a lot to put the information I can get from Sense Motive behind a spoiler tag. That way I can react to it in my post and not have to wait for you

When Lem tells the party what he learned, Hakon reacts immediately. He turns towards the gnome and lets loose with the full fury of the north. "You were to bring us to the tree. That is your only responsibility. Leave us alone with the tree NOW! Or pay the price. We have many seasoned fighters. Do not try us."
