My apologies, I forgot that I had a bunch of family stuff this weekend (graduations, etc).
To tide yourselves over for now, have a listen to the HoUR opening theme, complete with vaguely related lyrics!
That one thing –
Shall we capture it in a cage and change the future for all to see?
Like the power that dwells within
The little sacred souls of words…
My disassembled body is already growing lighter,
And the flying, scattered parts have become comets.
I’m sure that everyone is holding up a hand in front of the sight that they wished deeply for,
And in that way, they’re taken away.
A world, drawing and gathering complicated lines…
A breeze from the pure wingbeats of a butterfly will send down torrents of rain somewhere.
The sacred souls of words, all together as one,
Hold enough power for dancing through the air.
Nothing difficult has ever existed from the start.
There are no rules.
The record that someone decided on has become smudges of ink on scraps of paper.
G o o d b y e.
Which way shall we go?
We’ll fly across time and space,
To warm place or a cold one, it doesn’t matter to me.
Nothing difficult has ever existed from the start.
Now, let’s go.
My disassembled body is already growing lighter,
And the flying, scattered parts have become comets.
I’m sure that everyone is holding up a hand in front of the sight that they wished deeply for,
And in that way, they’re taken away.

If you're having trouble deciding, I have advice. o wo/
Step 1: Give everything a once-over and sort the applications between those you could see yourself accepting and those that, for whatever reason, are definite no's. Discard the no's.
Step 2: Pick the best single profile from among those that are left.
Step 3: Using the one profile you've picked as a base, pick the rest of the players based on the kind of party you wish to run. This usually involves trying to get the best party balance from among the submissions you like.
I can usually pick players pretty quickly by doing this. XD

I see I have much yet to learn about anime....

Camera flies through endless rows of bookshelves somewhere deep and dark. Up ahead, red wax candles dimly illuminate a lone hooded figure.
As the music picks ups: sudden zoom towards the scene. The close up shows a hand bearing jet black fingernails tracing the indecipherable text in an obviously evil-looking tome. The nails soon move up to slice some exposed patch of pale flesh, dripping blood into a small bowl. As the blood pools, an image appears on it's surface - the scrying shows six students currently standing outside the House of Undying Radiance:
- Vinda Ortlovski
- Shona Faun
- Chocola
- Kayin Ashok
- Tremetorideria Centicus
- Shirokuro Shisōka
A tongue licks the last bit of blood off the fingernails before retreating behind a pair of black lips. The lips smirk.

Judgement has been passed! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who applied. All of the submissions, both those that did and didn't make the final cut, brought some really great and thematic material to the table. To those not picked I wish you the best and perhaps I'll see you someday in HoUR season 2 - the gritty cyberpunk reboot! My sinister six can move to discussion and in the mean time I'm going to get the gameplay moving as soon as I can.
