I know I need to finish my guide's stats. Anything else you want to see?
Edit: Inari's stats are in the sheet now.
Also, because I'm trying to tighten up and refine my submissions, what got Kayin picked?

![]() |

Follow up on Kayin's question, I think it might be nice for all of us to know what you think makes us a solid group. IE-what are the individual aspects that made characters pop and how do yo see them fitting together. Unless you don't have time to tell us or think it would steer us into playing them other than we might naturally be inclined to do. In those cases, ignore this suggestion.
And yes, stats for the animal companion are probably important. I should get those.
Also, is it okay with you that Shona has a pistol in her wrist sheath? Some GM's contend that a pistol would be too large for a wrist sheath, so I just wanted to make sure you were okay with it. I can have her wear a holster somewhere if that's preferable.

Sounds cool but the physics seem a little sketchy. In other words, definitely yes!

Re: Why everyone got picked: The short version:
Vinda was the first pick because I felt the whole rockstar vibe would thrive in a game like this (also because cartmanbeck originally proposed the idea). Shona and Chocola got in because I loved their interaction and how you two built off each other in the sample roleplay. Tre added some much needed analytical/intelligence aspect to the group, and I figured Shiro would bring a bit of the same but in a different way. Finally, Kayin seemed like a good well-rounded character to cap off the group and the prospect of have an (eventually) nine-tailed fox in the game speaks for itself.

Kayin Ashok |

And here I thought it was because my submission was incredibly well written and thought out. Well, that and my awesome choice of theme song, of course.
Turns out, it was just the tails. They're irresistible ;p.

![]() |

Thanks for that feedback, Tux. I rather appreciate the analytical approach to those choices.
However, I massively LOVED the "that blatantly spits in the eye of physics, so definitely yes" bit :=) Seems to fit the genre nicely!

Vinda Ortlovski |

I also appreciate the feedback, and the fact that you considered my character against the others on equal footing... I would have withdrawn if I felt that Vinda could not live up to the level of the other submissions, of which there were some REALLY good ones!
I am pretty sure Vinda is ready to go without any other modifications, do you see anything missing?

TuxedoShmacked |

I feel somewhat like an echo but I also appreciate the feedback.
When I say analytical/intelligence I don't mean from a statblock/filling party roles point of view. I liked that while everyone else was finding ways to steal/charm other's out of their forms, Tre came in from a completely different angle by simply making new ones.

Vinda Ortlovski |

@Tux: I almost forgot, I would like to drop the Spell Warrior archetype from Vinda... I thought about it just the other day... since I plan to have her familiar eventually become a fighting creature, it doesn't make sense to drop inspired rage for the ability to make weapons magical... since the familiar won't wield weapons. Is that okay?
EDIT: I'd kinda like to take the Instigator archetype instead (which I had not noticed until now, and fits PERFECTLY with her concept!!

Kayin Ashok |

Tuxedo, can Kayin's guide have a number of tails that match the number that Kayin himself has? Purely cosmetic, of course.

Ticked I wasn't in adequate condition to participate in...whatever that all was.
Please do an unjustly-compromised mind a favor and give me a recap of what just happened in the last couple pages.
In a nutshell, Lady Titania (one of the Elite Four of the school) came in casting all sorts of shade everywhere. Vinda got defiant, Shona got foolishly involved, and Kayin was less-assertively defiant but gentlemanly enough to help the ladies.
Titania and the student who accused us of the cheating on form stuff were in a nonlethal duel as our chance to prove our innocence. I kind of accidentally tripped him into Vinda's swinging axe (apparently) and he got decapitated. He was fine though, as his name, Lazarus, would imply and simply rose from the dead. That's apparently how he manages to be dueling champion of the school.
Anyway, some other member of the Elite Four was appearing I a magical mirror as he sat on a chair made of girls and did glorified commentary of what happened (and called Kayin a girl).
Vinda is mortified to have killed a person and Shona is crying because there's no more coffee. Kayin is embarrassed by his fox guide rolling over on his back for all sorts of belly rubbing from Chocola.
That's the gist of it, anyway. Glad you're back with us :=)

Sword That Will Pierce The Heavens! (optional): Players may choose to reduce their character's size to small with no ability adjustments. Regardless, any small characters always wield weapons as though they were one size larger
I took this option for Tre because I thought it fit well with the somewhat contradictory information we have about Native Outsiders and aging, with it representing that her physical development hasn't quite caught up with her mental development.
With that in mind would it be possible for Tre's transformation to age her up in appearance, changing her size from a (tall) small to a (short) medium? This would be almost entirely cosmetic but would help support a stronger RP difference between normal Tre and transformed Tre such as transformed Tre having more self-confidence

I'm so loving the pace that we're moving with this! It's exactly how other games I've played in have promised to move yet none actually seem to. You guys are awesome!

TuxedoShmacked |

Indeed - I know my posting times can be somewhat erratic given my shifting work schedule, but I think everything is moving along very nicely so far.

Sounds good.

I will be taking a few days to myself. I live in orlando and have a lot of friends in the LGBTQ community so I want to make sure they are all okay before I do anything else. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but I need to take some time.
Completely understandable. Horrible occurrences like this should and do affect every one of us.

Still present and interested, waiting patiently.

Vinda and Shona challenged the E!ite Four member Titania to a duel over the issue of skullduggery involving those registration forms, Kayin reluctantly joined in. Instead of Titania, we ended up fighting a ringer in the form a little wheezer who somehow managed to behead himself during the fight.
This resulted in a disqualification by technicality for our suckered heroes, as lethal damage was forbidden in this fight. The headless wheezer, Lazarus, got better, which is pretty damn suspect on its own. The Omnesiac pulled his head out of his ass, accidentally got a breath of clean air that sparked two brain cells to life, and decided it was time for adult supervision of the duel... which was already over.
Vinda faced a soul-searing existential crisis over accidentally lopping off a nugget. Shona faced a soul-searing existential crisis because there was no more coffee to suck down like a fish in water. Kayin talked fast, got the team some help, of sorts, on their Headmaster-assigned Quest of Epic Redemption (also known as the New Students Orientation Field Trip). Kayin's guide animal propositioned Chocola.
The team, with Lazzy the Seemingly Immortal Wheezer, is now on a boat to the Island of Spooky S*~~ to retrieve a book. From a lich. There's a titan's corpse rotting on the beach, how picturesque.
Just about everyone thinks Kayin is a girl. The only ones who know better? Nobody listens to them...

Vinda Ortlovski |

Perfect recap. I'd like to point out that Vinda hasn't called Kayin a girl yet, but she also seems to have just not noticed that he exists at this point. He'll have to make an impact on her for her to recognize that he is, in fact, a girl. :-P

Kayin Ashok |

Wakey, wakey, there's gaming afoot!

Kayin Ashok |

We're going to have oil up the flogging noodles to get the others awake, I fear. Nothing focuses the mind quite like the wet slap of pasta across the back.

Well, I posted that I'm skipping off towards a castle and Tre was suggesting we follow. Are you guys following? It's possible Tux is just waiting to see if we are all heading off or if anyone's staying with the ship or if we're all moving in one group or is someone's trying to scout ahead or what we're doing.

Kayin Ashok |

Kayin already said he was heading to the castle :p.

![]() |

FYI--I'll be out of town for the next week and a half, so updating my be a touch sporadic on my end during that time.

Kayin Ashok |

I think we're mostly waiting on our glorious GM, the one and only, TuxedoShmacked, to get the story side moving so we actually have something to work with here :p.
Hope they're alright and all.

Kayin Ashok |

I don't think so. I hope it's nothing serious, but the GM is quite likely not coming back soon.

![]() |

It's sad. I'd love to see this keep going. Please come back, Tux. We miss you :=(
