Thorian inspects the walls for lanterns/torch holders...something that we can light as we move down the hallway. While doing so he is checking for anymore mysterious runes or etchings along the walls.
"anyone think it might be a good idea to split into two groups so we can cover ground a bit faster?"
The party notices that Thorin doesn't seem drunk at all anymore
used the extra resistance boon to sober up, and in his mind that is going to be his reason for drying up completely.

Cole Keegan |

Cole glances at Lord Thorin, and inwardly notes the newfound sobriety of his companion. Hiding the approval from his voice so as not to embarrass him, he remarks ”I fail to see the advantage here in splitting up. We don’t know what is down here, and we are not under any time constraints that I know of here. My gut say we should stick together.”

Saoirse Palelight |

Saoirse looks over Thorin as she detects the new found sobriety in his voice. Giving an approving nod, she steps forward with the group and looks down the same corridor as Cole. Unease settles in her mind as she looks down the dark hallway, her mind flashing with remembered images of the cave she lost her father in. Saoirse's eyes glow in the dull light as she whispers a short prayer under her breath towards Iomedae.
Detect Evil down the corridor, wide area version
She keep control of her breathing for the moment though her hand shakes for a moment and the torch fire waves through the air.

Wonderful stuff, folks - here we go!
Group Post 7: Things That Go Bump...
The companions begin to spread out and take up positions in the corridors, putting their varied abilities to use:
Alanthian checks the door just a few feet away on the left and finds no traps...but could swear he hears the slightest noise coming from behind it...
Brankh moves cautiously ahead even as Cole and Saoirse step into the entrance to the corridor to the right. When Brankh reaches the far intersection, he looks North and the corridor continues on uninterrupted as far as his vision allows him to see. To the South, however, there is an alcove with a very surprising secret:
Dirt and rubble surround a hole in the wall of this alcove. Within, a rough-hewn tunnel leads off into darkness. Two picks and a shovel lie on the floor in front of the hole.
While Thorin looks for torch sconces, and Catila rests against the wall a few feet behind Alanthian, Cole scans the corridor north for hidden threats. But Saoirse looks deeper, using her gift to detect evil...and something stirs within the darkness and the "stench" of its nature slams the paladin in the face!
Saoirse almost drops the torch in her hand as a door opens slowly at the limit of the torch's light. A human-sized figure steps out into the hallway, sniffing loudly, then growling...then charging!
"Iomedae save us!" Cole breathes as the creature comes into full view. Houses of Beauty Map 2

At Saorise's gasp and Cole prayer though the bespelled halfling finally does look up and her eyes widen in...fascination. "How extraordinary"
Yet tired though she may be her intellect is intact and the threat from the creature is clear. Her training allowing her to load her sling almost faster than the eye can follow she whips at bullet at the creature aiming for it's head.

"Make way!" Alanthian yells, moving in between Cole and Saoirse, placing himself in the Lustspawn's path. As the beast closes, it unhinges its lower jaw, salivating profusely at the prospect of fresh meat. As it lunges, Alanthian meets it with steel, slicing through one of its breasts and into its arm! from my position it doesn't look like thorin can reach the lustspawn, so he's going to hold his attack until one of the party members drops back, and then move in. Ill go ahead and roll to hit and roll damage now in case I'm mistaken. here lately it seems like everytime i come to the paizo boards they are down. is that normal?

Steeling her nerves with an enemy in front of her, Saoirse steps forward next to Alanthian and strikes her sword forward. Her blade cuts a bloody swath across the chest of the creature, staggering it, but somehow still it stands.
Calling upon the divine power of Iomedae, Cole steps around the creature and drives his sword through its ribs, piercing its heart, dropping it to the floor where it lies twitching in death. In a few seconds, its eyes bulge wide and it stops moving altogether.
Except for the breathing such as is brought on by combat and fear for one's life, the halls are again eerily silent.
Everyone gets 100 xp - well done!

Cole Keegan |

Cole cleans his blade from the creature's gore still clinging to his blade. He nods in thanks to Saorise and Alanthain in grateful appreciation.
Stepping over the remains of the creature, he waves for Catila to bring the glowing pebble closer so he can study it further.

Brankh looks down at the floor with a grimace of revulsion, then looks up to his allies and his coutenance changes to wide-eyed amazement.
"I've heard that your church trains fine warriors. But to see your disciplined swordsmanship in action....that is something to behold! And you, Alanthian - were so quick I never even saw your strike! The Sun shines on me. I am in good company."

Alanthian Darlok |

Alanthian cleans Glimmering and resheaths his sword. " Thankyou Brankh, I have been trained to end fights as quickly as posible, among other things. Lets hope we do not run into anymore suprise guest in this crypt."
He touches the blody claw marks left on his chest and arms by the creature and turns to Cole, "It seems the fight was not ended quickly enough."
He then takes out a piece of parchment and tries to quickly sketch the monster. "Does anyone know what this was?"

Cole Keegan |

He touches the blody claw marks left on his chest and arms by the creature and turns to Cole, "It seems the fight was not ended quickly enough."

Thorin looks around the room in wonder at his companions. All good warriors in their own respect. He was still left in amazement at the amount of time they cared to dwell in a particular area. The faster they could complete this task the better. He was in no mood to spend his last days down here.
Alanthian, if you are done drawing pictures, do you think we could move this little tea party along. Just being in here is making my skin crawl, and I care not to spend the time inspecting the fouled remains of every last creature that chances to leap at us from each and every dark corner this place holds. I'd like to finish this task and move on if you please.
The tone in Thorin's voice was stern, but not aggressive. The group could tell that something was bothering Thorin. Although he wasn't the type to ever admit it.

Alanthian Darlok |

Alanthian puts his parchment and pencils up, "Do not worry Thorin, I will only draw the rare things we run across." Alanthian straitens his pack and approaches the door he was checking before the attack. "Shall we try this again? I had thought I heard something behind this door before."
Alanthian approaches the door and checks the lock.
If it is locked, I will try to open it.

Dr. Catila Eyesquint |

As the combat ends Catila's weariness seems to fall off of her and she stands straight once again. Impressed with the comrages martial ability she smiles a hearty "Well done all!"
Her halfling curiosity as strong as ever she joins Alanthain in investigating the newly re-dead corpse. Her quick hands search it for anything of value. She also looks up the hall to see where it may have came from as she says "Perhaps we should investigate first where there creature emerged from, to make sure there are no more of them at our backs, yes?"
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
As Thorin voices his opinion the detective pipes up, her face serious but her tone not aggresive either "Our mision Thorin is to investigate these tombs and find the source of the trouble. If we make a practice or hurrying and ignoring the clues as they are presented to us, we run the risk of perhaps missing something of great import. I am sure none of us particularily enjoy being here, but if we do not do the job properly, what is the point of doing it at all?"
Buffs: +1 to Initiative, Perception, Disable Device, Reflex & AC vs traps

Brankh |

Catila - its nice to see see you have the jump back in your step again! I wish the choices we had were simple and easy, Thorin, and that we could just march right on without considering the details - and I must say that there is more to ponder around that corner. A long corridor ends right there, but someone has recently busted through the wall at the end and a rough-hewn passage descends from there. We should check that out, but I agree with Catila - for now we should see where this - horrible thing - whatever it is with the body of a young woman - came from - we wouldn't want more of them lurking behind us....and yes Thorin...I do wish Alanthian would hurry it up with the doodling....

Group Post 8: Investigations...
After some banter and verbal back-slapping over the victory, and after Cole heals Alanthian's wounds, the group is ready to return to its investigations of the crypt.
Cole asks for better light and a closer look at the creature on the floor...and after about 30 seconds of studying it, he murmurs, "Sinspawn...the runelords created them from raw soulstuff and used them as shock troops for use in their endless battles. Truly a monstrous aberration."
Behind them, Alanthian is working on the same door he was listening to before the sinspawn attacked. With a smile of satisfaction, the rogue realizes the door is not even locked and grabs the handle to open it...but finds it to be barred...from the inside!
Catila looks closely up the wide hallway and notices that the farthest door she can see on the left is half-way ajar...and from that room her nose catches a faint coppery scent...
If you look at the last map I sent, it is the door on the left wall at the far end of your vision currently.

Thorin follows closely behind alanthian. Close enough to be front line, but not so close as to impede his stealthful movement. as he approaches the door, he raises his club, waiting to strike down anything that comes rushing out of the door.
he quietly whispers to anyone in the group
"Someone, toss a torch inside..."

Brankh |

Brankh looks past Thorin and through the door. Maybe he sees something.

Group Post 9: House of...
Alanthian finds makes it to the door without a sound, finding no traps along the floor or walls. He, along with everyone else when they arrive, sees that the corridor runs on several more feet with two more doors, one on either side. Brankh sees the outlines of stone biers and something lying on the floor, but nothing more. The torch in the room, along with the glowing pebble reveals the following:
Shockingly graphic depictions of orgies with all manner of creatures decorate the walls of this chamber. Five humanoid skeletons lie in state on biers - though the bodies appear human, their skulls are those of some monstrous creature. A pile of bloody bones and feathers is all that is left of a recently killed creature.
Looking around the room you notice several stone biers equipped with drainage troughs, wooden cabinets which look to contain embalming tools, and the wall carvings of course.

Brankh enters the room and looks about in astonishment and shock.
"I don't know much about dogma....but I'm the pup of a mangy, gnoll-b@$&~ if this isn't heresy of the most degenerate kind! Whoever is behind this depravity is surely fit for the pyre!
Brankh pokes around the bones and feathers. What kind of carcasse is it, is there any flesh on the bones?

Alanthian Darlok |

Alanthian quickly pulls out his parchment and begins taking a quick sketch, making rubbings and writing down notes about the room, with additional drawings of the inhuman skulls."Fasinating, this seems to be a body preservation area. But to what god is it dedicated? It does not seem to belong to Desna."

Saoirse Palelight |

Saoirse quietly accepts Brankh's praise with a nod and pulls out a stained old rag from her backpack, wiping off the blood from her sword before putting the rag back into it's place. She follows behind the rest of the group, keeping an eye out on our rear as the rest search the room the... creature came from. Hearing the exclamations of the rest of the group as they enter the room, her head turns to look in and almost immediately looks back out, her face flushed a bright red as she breathes in deeply.
"That is a disgusting and filthy room. It should be cleansed."

Cole Keegan |

On hearing the exclamation from Lady Saorise, Cole stops looking down the corridor and glances at the attractive lady. He murmers quietly to her "Easy there, Saorise. Don't let yerself get carried away here. We got other things to worry about than what is in some old pleasure room." He avoids looking at her directly, trying to hide his own blushing.

Untrained
From PFSRD.
You cannot make an untrained Knowledge check with a DC higher than 10. If you have access to an extensive library that covers a specific skill, this limit is removed. The time to make checks using a library, however, increases to 1d4 hours. Particularly complete libraries might even grant a bonus on Knowledge checks in the fields that they cover.

Not seeming to be affected at all by the contents of them room Catila moves to curiously look over everything. She also stops to carefully examine the feathery remains. When satisfied, after Cole-s comment she looks at the remaining doors and says "To me it seems a systematic process is best, for we may never know what lies behind a closed door if we do not open it. Shall we perhaps begin at the end of the corridor and check every door from there on our way to the hole?"
The dectives's position on this however is not strong and if the party decides to proceed directly to the hole she will not argue the matter further.
Please feel free to roll anything necessary for Catila that I may have missed
