Shopping list:
Slayers robe: 15,000
Wayfinder +clear spindle ioun 4500
sell necklace of fireballs -1650
Is possible, yes?

Otherwise, I think I'm levelled up, although I will need to adjust my saves if I get the slayers robe.

The above items are possible.

Your hit points should be 94.

Only missing Caleb's stats which still show as 9th level sorcerer...

Not much, hopefully not past tomorrow. And you have 12-15k to spend so get shopping! :)

I intend to move you guys to the 'jailbreak' scene as soon as I have Caleb's level up info sorted out. Maybe tonight?

I'll be nice and let you 'retcon' the shopping. :)

It's the least I can do after the Dead Suns recap. :)

Stats

Sorry - CC was on the google doc. Have moved him over.
@All: CC and Tillia have problems with mindless (vermin and oozes), constructs and undead. Jillian has problems with things that have no vitals to stab (Incorporeal, Elemental and Ooze) . Eirik has problems with things that have high DR. Have I got this right?

Caleb took Noravia's hands and looked into her eyes "I promise I love you more than stabbing people." he joked, then turned serious "I might even love you more than my revenge."

And Noravia often has all of the above problems :)

Noravia giggled as Caleb joked until his last words registered. She couldn't keep the surprise off her face and her eyes widened. "Wait, what? Did you just...? Really?"

Action 1:

k.religion: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22 To determine anything particularly helpful against the undead or constructs

Noravia will ask for scrolls of Consecrate (to hopefully weaken undead in an area) as well as Searing Light (maybe two) because they'll do more damage against undead. There's also holy water. But hopefully her roll will help her determine something I haven't already thought of. Plus, hopefully she'll get some insight into how better fight constructs.

For Noravia's shopping spree I have the following, some may say uninteresting, list

upgrade +2belt of strength to a +2 belt of physical might (6,000 difference) and upgrade +1 amulet of natural armor to the +2 amulet of natural armor (6,000gp difference)
or
glove of storing (10,000gp)

She'd like to keep all the healing type scrolls and wands off of the loot list for party usage

She'll purchase the above mentioned scrolls when I know what else she's allowed to have...

Jillian stroked the hem of her new robe - the raggedy, black strips of cloth didn't look like much, but it was a powerful magical item and she couldn't wait to try it out. As she stared at the map, she said, "What about a two-pronged approach. Eirik and I could take advantage of Min's distraction, and with luck, hopefully walk right up to the front door. Caleb, Tillia and Noravia teleport in, say...hmmm...here." She pointed to the first room, just behind the three tables. Are those three things tables?

"That way, we're not separated for too long. Caleb can track us, so he'll know when we're near the front door, and that's your signal to pop on in. If there's resistance in the entry, we'll all be there to counter it, and hopefully flank it. There's no point going for subtlety - might as well go in swinging. What do you think?"

Stats

Action 2:
Caleb winced, clutched his side, but continued. "I'd given up on having a happily ever after. I dedicated myself to taking as many THRUNE down with me as I could. I didn't even regret it, anymore. But with you..." he trailed off "I don't want you to be without me."

The idea Noravia might die before him is something Caleb hasn't really considered.

Stats

Action 3:
"I think there are things that can mess with teleport - that's the risk. I like it. Take Noravia, or Ves with you - they can sense where I am. If I'm not in the right spot, then they've done something to mess with it. Break off the attack and come get me! If we all jump in then we'd all be trapped." Caleb suggested. "There's nothing to show we've come through, really. If we can all be invisible, then we can get the drop on anyone there and then head over to stab anyone attacking you from behind. Tillia - you come with me. With any luck you can co-opt some of the guards, take them over to our side. There must be passwords, or tokens, or something that stop the constructs and undead. This'd be a lot easier if we had those."
Noravia is an infiltrator: suggest Jillian and Noravia head in through the bridge. Caleb and Tillia bamf in. Eirik could be with either group.

"Other problem with teleport would be that if all goes well, there area even more of us going out than getting in, and if three passengers is your limit..." Eirik murmured, consulting the map and considering options."As to the undead... a construct might well have some token to tell friend from foe, as would lesser undead, but I understood this Warden might well be a higher undead, someonething with a mind and will of its own. If so, fooling it would be much harder."

Simpler to work out things in OOC in my opinion... couple problems. First, we need to get inside the walls even to get to the prison's door. Then we need to get in, find the correct prisoner and finally get out alive. Posing as guards escorting a prisoner in or requesting a prisoner to be transferred out might get us in, but not much further I think... and both would require some expertly forged documents to pass casual examination. But Jackdaw would be so high-level guest that I very much doubt no amount of intrigue would get her released to us. So I'd be prepared for violence the moment we get in, perhaps sooner if things go badly... but if there is battle outside the prison walls, I can't see how there wouldn't be a steady stream of enemy reinforcements to make our lives difficult (even if your average Dottari isn't much of a challenge to a 10th level characters).

Invisiblity would be a nice way to at least get to the door without rousing suspicion. Once inside, if we can hold the door we can prevent anyone from getting out to call for help. Of course, there is a risk they will threaten the prisoners to make us surrender, but fact is, we only care for one of them, and I don't think they'd want to kill her without express orders from the Paracount.

Stats

I wonder if we could render the bridge unusable. Of course that wouldn't stop t-porting devils.
For the record CC will have:
Urban Grace (1st, minutes)
Heightened Awareness (1st, 10s of minutes)
Alter Self (2nd, minutes )
False Life (2nd, hours) hp: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Darkvision (3rd, hours)

Stats

Aqueous Orb in the doorway is simplistic, but might work.
I think we should move in.
I like the plan of some people go through the bridge, and others dd in to take the door from behind.
Does split the party, but only for a moment.
Simplest way might be if we all take the bridge though. Some of us can dd through the door to take it if needed.

Stats

How about we make this easy on poor Fabian, and we all go in through the bridge?

Bah, easy for Fabian? Where's the fun in that. I say we split up. I don't think we should sabotage the catwalk; after all, this is a real jail, and when we get control of the city again, the mayor will need it intact.

I think the point of the distraction is we can get across the catwalk and to the keep doors without needing a cover. I don't think that subterfuge will work. I vote we split up and enter swinging.

Also, remember we're here for two prisoners, the 3rd signee, and Jackdaw.

Ok, time to move things along here.

The plan is for some people to go through the front door and others to dimension door inside into the hallway behind area D2.

Through front door will be Eirik, Jillian, and Noravia and dimension door will be Caleb and Tillia.

No subterfuge involved and you will come in 'swinging'.

This is the plan unless I hear otherwise in the next few hours. I probably won't get to recap this until later this evening but maybe this afternoon...

Oh joy, only hours till Christmas holidays start... but I feel I'm missing something. The prison was way in the back of a walled compound controlled by the enemy Hellknights, right? What was the plan to reach the door? Did that involve the diversion/distraction mentioned earlier?

Action 1
Tillia considered Caleb's question and said, "It depends on the construct. I need to do some research on them to know but it seems to me that if they are operating on a narrow set of instructions then they can be worked around. If they are somehow self-aware then that's a different matter." She looked to Octavio and asked, "Do we know what kind of constructs there are? Any indication to narrow down the research on how to deal with them?"

As Caleb turned the conversation to information gathering Tillia considered his question and finally replied, "If we can find the right person or persons I might be able to convince them to tell me something, with or without magic." She was thoughtful as she considered the means of approach and finally said, "Getting the information without magic would be best, they might be able to determine someone had talked if there was magic used but if they could be convinced to let something slip it would be far less likely to be noticed and less likely they would realize we are up to something."

Jillian grinned as the welcome squad started to draw their blades. She considered using Caleb's blessing, but she didn't want to squander it yet. Keeping it as an ace in the hole, should the need it, she began moving.

Can't quite tell from the map - can Jillian squeeze between barricade and wall? Or does she need a roll of some kind?

Caleb's stomach lurched as normality reasserted itself. 'Is it my imagination - or is it longer each time?' he wondered. Sneaking carefully ahead he eased the door open enough to see the Hellknights.

@Jillian: Acrobatics DC 25 or climb DC 20 to get to the other side of the barricades. If you fail by 5 or more, you'll take some damage from the spikes (2d6). You can also destroy them if you wish.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25 Just enough

Let's get Eirik just south of the lone eastern guard... too bad they will act first the next round... I assume Eirik will have his Barskin up since it does last for quite a while.

It was almost a relief to confront their foes openly from the start, after the nerve-wracking Records Hall episode - not that he could complain how well subterfuge had worked that time.

The barricades and the guards already in position was surprising, though. Either the Hellknights were the very image of discipline or they had caught some hints about trouble in the wind. Without wasting time, the rotund monk sprinted to his left, towards the closest of the guards, and jumped nimble over the obstacle, the hem of his robe gently caressing the spikes on top as he found himself slightly misjudging their reach in his hurry.

What would it take to destroy one of the barricades? Time/rolls? Is it just a matter of tearing it apart?

Bah, who am I kidding? It's not like Jillian is going to disassemble. She's going for the attack.

surprise round

acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 Wait, I take it back!!!!
damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4

Jillian ran to the east and leapt into the air, hoping to clear the pointy barrier. However, her new cloak snagged on one of the spikes, but the magically enhanced material did not rip. Instead, it pulled her back mid-leap, and she landed heavily on the inside spikes of the eastern barrier.

Round 1
acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 OH COME ON!!!!
damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8

Not one to be deterred by misfortune, Jillian tried again, this time trying to squeeze between the two barriers. However, she had even less luck and gouged herself front and back.

acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 F@@&ing Finally!!!!!

Seeing the knights arming themselves, she knew she had completely squandered their element of surprise. However, by now she was taking her inability to clear the barrier personally, so she gave it one last try. Cursing a blue streak, she tucked the cape up and leapt, this time clearing the spikes by less than an inch. Landing in a fighting crouch, keeping the barricade behind her, she prepared to meet the attacks of the approaching hellknights.

So that ended up being three move actions. S~##ty.

I guess Bless it is then and she'll remain a sitting duck...

As soon as the Hellknights showed themselves, Noravia called on Milani's blessing on her allies. Using her bonded mind, she let Caleb and Tillia know what they were facing. "There are four hellknights out here and currently I'm trapped by barricades."

Round 1:

Action 1
The surprise round:
With the bracers her mentor had gifted her Tillia found herself for loss of what to do at the moment. She wanted to wait and reveal her presence when it would be the most disruptive for their adversaries and so remained in hiding until the timing was right.

Round 1/2:
Tillia moved closer to the fighting that was now going on in the room, maintaining her hidden state and watching for the perfect moment to strike. She had a few options open to her but she felt it was necessary to wait for the prime moment to cause some havoc. When she saw Jillian and Eirik lined up and facing the line of hellknights she knew the time had come. She began to chant and then cast a spell she'd never used before. It was similar to the lightning bolt she occasionally used but with one key difference. This time the electricity didn't start with her.

As she finished her chanting and gestures the hellknights on either end of the line suddenly felt the hair rise all over their bodies and Tillia watched with baited breath for what would happen. Suddenly, with a loud crack of thunder a bolt of electricity started from the helm of the one on the left and then shot down the line to the one on the right. It almost seemed to leap from one to the next bot it went only through those three.

I cast Lightning Arc (dc 20 ref for half).
=lightning arc: 9d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4, 1, 3, 6, 4, 5, 1) = 33

If I have more I can do let me know please. Updated spell list is in the character sheet. i filled in the 5th level ones and then added a replacement for mage armor since I don't need it now.

Sword: 1d20 + 18 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 18 - 2 = 26
damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

2nd shield bash: 1d20 + 10 - 5 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 - 5 - 2 = 18
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Jillian desperately wanted to step through the line of knights before her so she could flank with Eirik, but it was much too risky. She'd have to take at least one out before she gave up the wall at her back. Instead, she roared a wordless challenge and began to do what she did best - slash and bash. The hellknights weren't expecting such strength and fury from one so small, and as her sword swung and her shield crashed into armour, she was rewarded with the satisfying sight of blood splatter and sound of crunching bone.

she'll go for the one in the middle.

Intimidate to Demoralize: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27 looking good here as well

Nice uniform rolls ;^) One Disarm against both Hellknights in reach, should do wonders to limit their damage potential. Then two normal attacks (using one boot charge) for good measure against the middle one.

Dodging and palm-striking away the blades seeking his flesh was gettin gold really fast, Eirik decided and decided to see what he could do to limit their enemies options, before they had more success with their swords. He struck a series of rapid blows that struck the Hellknights' bracered wrists, numbing their fingers and loosening their hold on their weapons so high roundhouse kick knocked them from their hands. Smiling brightly at their surpirised expressions, Eirik changed stances on the fly, ripping into the armored body of one of the knights with Ki-invested claws, splattering the back of the barricare with bright crimson blood.

Tillia screamed in pain as the two hellknights struck her. The weapons bit deep and left her in bad shape after only a few blows. Knowing that she would have to do something to protect herself and slow the assault down she stepped back from them and then cast yet another spell. This time a pit opened beneath their feet, one lined with razor sharp spikes on the sides and bottom. It left the two teetering on the brink between taking out their target and falling to their doom.

I cast spiked pit so that it centers right to the right behind the two hellknights after I five foot step 1 square north west.

Yes and you need to make a use magic device check with a DC = 20 + caster level. So assuming, Caleb used the lowest caster level to cast greater invisibility then it wold be DC=28.

I think there's a little problem given that your UMD is only +2...

Am I missing something Caleb?
