The people inside the Records Hall; know about the invisible stalkers so they are not surprised nor wondering what is going on.
Up to this moment, they thought that only Eirik (a stupid scribe) was resisting and so have full confidence that the stalkers will take care of him.
Once others join in, then all gloves are off.
Noravia is inside the Vault but I will allow her to hear what is going on.
I intend to recap later today.

All OOC:
Do you mean all of us are getting attacked or that the other people here will get involved in the fight?
Also, where is the inquisitor I was "befriending"? In the hall or in the room, I did say I went out with them to see what was happening after all.
Also, sorry I haven't posted much this week. I really ahven't had much that I could respond to and I only felt like rehashing the same post so many times.

I mean that those that actively attack and/or resist will be attacked.
The inquisitor you befriended is still in the room where you are at and looking out to the main hall. He hasn't gotten involved in the fight yet.
That's fine. I try hard to keep everyone involved/engaged but it's hard sometimes.

Alright, that makes sense then.
I didn't see him on the map int eh room with me so I wasn't sure.
I understand, not complaining, just explaining.

With the "dangerous rebel" being hauled away for interrogation by the Witch and her invisible helpers Tillia breathed a sigh of relief, She sidled closer to Inquisitor Axelus and looked at him nervously as she asked, [b]"Is she going to be alright alone with that man?" She gave a fearful tone to her voice and continued, "Are we safe from him Axelus? You won't let anything happen to me will you?"

Noravia could hear that things weren't ideal outside the vault. She resisted the urge to go to their aide because right now, the witch only was interested in Eirik. If Noravia abandoned the vault now, it would be highly suspicious. She redoubled her efforts to find any of the information they were needing.

Who saw the gateway to make a spellcraft roll for it, please? Guessing just Jillian and Eirik? Otherwise, she did say a word, right?

Caleb looked back in surprise as his enemies neatly gathered themselves into a ten foot square. Feeling almost as if he was cheating he summoned the black ball of watery death that had served him so well before.
Oh, so this is what they mean by battlefield control. I just got it. Huh - that's pretty cool.
Standard: summon Aqueous Orb. Overlay directly over troop. I shudder to think how this interacts with the troop subtype, but presumably you make one roll for the troop to see if the whole thing is entangled?
Either way, leaving it in the doorway for now.
5ft step to cover Jillian's flank.
Move: Draw Alchemist's Fire.
If the water holds them
"That should hold them! Hurry up!" Caleb called, moving to cover Jillian's flank lest another invisible talker make a shot at her.
If not
"Oh Callistria! They're coming. And they look angry - and wet!"
From between Caleb's shoulderblades a yellow wasp the size of a terrier burst loose, and snatched the vial of Alchemist's fire even as Caleb drew it.

"Clipped sails," Eirik muttered, voicing a dire Abadarian curse as the witch whisked herself away. He had hoped a surprise attack would be enough to get her out of the battle, but of course that would have been too easy... well, she could be anywhere and would likely make herself known sooner of later, and Eirik wasn't in a position to go look for her. Thus, dodging the invisible stalker's clumsy blows, the monk turned around and launched a flurry of blows on the otherworldly creature.

"Hurry up?" Jillian asked, breathless from the pain of the startling hit. "Hurry up and what? Kill this thing? Okay, good advice."
She could see not details of the invisible outsider before her, but it seemed to be reeling. Jillian hoped to finish it up with another quick sword and shield attack. She sliced and banged and repeated, and was rewarded as the invisible creature flickered and vanished from this plane.

turns out I have a pretty good playbook! That means she's around somewhere though, casting high level spells.

Action 1
Tillia gave her suitor a nod of acceptance and then moved to stand behind the doorway partly hidden from sight. She was still hoping to avoid getting involved in the fighting but was prepared to support as best she could, hopefully without giving herself away as a rebel.
Eirik Clausen
Anyway, assuming it'll take time to find the documents I'd suggest the following:
- kill anyone who resists
- block the doors to keep the scribes in and reinforcements out (one of those Wall spells would be handy)
- once fighting ends, force the scribes to help us find the documents we need and possibly some other useful stuff we aren't aware of
- loot the witch's office and the vault... could be goodies here!
- light the place on fire and let the scribes go once its clear there's no fighting the blaze
- have Caleb teleport us away

"I don't know what that is" Ves remarked quietly "but it doesn't look friendly."
Ves's action depends on whether or not her See In Darkness works in Blacklight. Lacking anything else she'll hover above Caleb
Caleb Cage
Caleb looked around as Jillia ran off. 'Just me, then, versus two troupes and hell kitty. Welp...'
A second's thought and Caleb cast Blacklight on his guard's sword - then dropped the sword, scabbard and all, where he stood. He stepped to the side as he put the churning ball of water between himself and the Hell-cat.
Standard: Blacklight,
Free: Drop item.
Free: 5ft step to the right.
Move: aqueous orb into the darkness (hey - refex penalties!) so it's bottom right hand corner is in the same square as Caleb's sword.
The Blacklight is impervious to Darkness, but Caleb can see normally. Not sure if See In Darkness can see through it thanks to ambiguous wording, but hoping hellcat doesn't have that. If nothing else if it goes through the ball hopefully the troupe will attack it, having no way to know what it is.
Plus, you know, cats and fire hate water. This is fire+cat, so...
Sadly this means that after Caleb moves there'll be a 20' radius sphere of darkness encompassing the area. It is blocked by walls and doors (an emanation) so if Caleb can get in and shut the door (not this round) then it doesn't get in. Till then it is a sort of anti-light creating pitch black patches in the room with the stalker.
To the troops who had just seen their colleagues sucked into a ball of black water, it was terrifying. The entire room beyond vanished in inky blackness, and their screaming, thrashing, drowning colleagues moved it. In the darkness, something roared.
Eirik Clausen
Hmm... would love to go challenge the kitty, but I'm not sure I want to dive into Caleb's double-fun-time of watery death and darkness (even though Eirik doesn't need to breath and was blind-fighting...). I think it'd make more sense to help deal with the 'stalker first and then go fight the cat, as it'll have likely got to a less crowded area by that time (or is hopelessly under the mercy of the water orb).
"Holy Hell!" Jillian backed away from the flaming creature. "Uh, I'll take care of the invisible guy. You guys go pet the kitty."
Eirik was about to agree when he saw Caleb covering the area in darkness, and heard the strange sloshing sound of the mystic's orb of liquid death rolling into it. "A bit too crowded for my liking there," the monk muttered, deciding to try and finish off the one foe before seeing if the feline monstrosity would have made its way into more favorable location to engage.
The monk continued to press his attack, calling for his enchanted boots for a burst of speed. And while one attack missed the invisible foe entirely, others found their mark and spilled otherworldly blood all over the walls as Ki-claws shredded flesh and crushed bone.

Noravia Jeggare
There was finally too much commotion outside the vault for Noravia to stay put. She worried that they were in real trouble. The others were far more important than anything she may find in the vault. She ran towards the door and saw it blocked by water that thankfully moved at the last moment giving her access to the fight.
She drew her weapon and as she stepped out of the vault, she spoke the words that granted a strong blessing over her allies while weakening their foes.
Not sure where everyone is and Noravia wouldn't know as well what's happening. Even if she asked the others via Bonded mind, she can't hear their response. Ideally, she'd want to cast Protection from Evil on whoever goes after the kitty. Not knowing who will be within touching distance, she'll cast Prayer instead.

@Tillia: yeah, but we need you in this. High level wizard is one of our few hopes! Are you trying to keep the illusion of being an employee?
Yes.
Jillian Falto
@Tillia - I must admit I don't understand your strategy, now that we're in battle. Here are the options as I see them...
1) We kill all the bad guys, stay and "loot" the vault, and your cover is no longer useful because your "contacts" are dead.
2) The bad guys kill/capture us, and you're probably included in our interrogation as you came in with us.
I don't see an option in which Tillia keeps herself distanced from the battle, and infiltrates the organization, AND in which we all live. TPK in exchange for a solo game?
Tillia
At the moment we're actually winning it seems and the "swarm" has been pushed back into the room with me, if I understand the map right. Just because things look like those are the options doesn't mean they are. Besides, if I break cover now the swarm will warm and kill me. Either way I won't be getting out of her free and alive just now. I'm playing this round by round at the moment. Believe me, if it seems that we're reaching a point where it seems needed I will intervene.
As for TPK in exchange for a solo game won't happen because if we are going to die then none of us will survive it. Tillia wont just sit back and wait forever and certainly not if she thinks you can't handle what there is.
Fabian Benavente
Jillian Falto
Is there a reason why Caleb, who was still acting on the last round, went after all of us? The aqueous orb is off the troop? Is the troop/swarm count as one or two swarms? I see two squares on the map, but only one on the health table.
Jillian turned to grin at Eirik as they finished off the invisible foe together. However, he had disappeared. In fact, everything disappeared - it was if she'd been thrust into a lightless cavern. "Hey! Who turned out the lights?!" She belatedly realized that calling out her position might not have been very wise, so she waited a moment to see what would happen.
Waiting to see what Caleb's action will be before I go stumbling around the dark.

I calculate effects in order but will often change the order in the turn recap for 'story' purpose.
The aqueous orb is off the troop because it made its saving throw and was not dragged with it.
The troop is one swarm but it changes in size which was why I had two squares representing it.

While I figure out what Noravia is going to do completely alone, quick question...why did they attack her without questioning her? If it's because of the spell she cast, wouldn't they need to roll a spellcraft check? If it's just because she was with the others, then they should also be attacking Tillia...just saying.

It's because she was with the others and all the other three have turned out to be 'traitors'.
Tillia had gotten by with some really good rolls and RPing but these are inquisitors and they will 'question' here once they 'get a chance'.

Noravia really needs to invest in area effect spells...
Prayer gives everyone +1 to attack, damage, saves, and skill checks and a -1 to same rolls for foes.
Noravia's eyes flashed dangerously as she was attacked by the more junior inquisitors. "You dare to raise a hand against me? You will feel divine wrath and you all are very aware that Asmodeus is not a cuddly or forgiving god! You should have focused on the others but now you've made me angry and you need to be taught a lesson."

Tillia
With the mob of inquisitors finally leaving the room again, and the sudden pall of darkness in the hallway, Tillia saw her chance to affect the outcome and maybe not get caught. She moved somewhat to put herself directly in line witht eh doorway but against the far wall and began to practically sob putting her whole into the performance she was about to give, "Please, don't fight them, there are too many. I don't want to lose you as we've just met and you're my friends." She spoke to the inquisitor troop and beyond as she wove magic into her words and concealed her gestures and the retrieval of the needed materials as best she could by first flinging her hands out and then placing them against her stomach in despair as she doubled over and sobbed.

Eirik Clausen
Ok, the Blacklight is a bit of a bummer... what kind of rolls are needed to even get to the main room in a rather unfamiliar building in complete darkness? Let alone end up close enough to the 'cat to attack it, while NOT stepping into the water sphere? Or hitting Caleb by mistake, as he's the first thing Eirik will run into, coming from the room... Caleb, you might want to consider picking up the focus item for the darkness spell and tossing it into the room the hellcat came from...
Stumbling blindly, one hand reached out to touch the wall so as not to completely lose his bearings, Eirik moved hesitantly in the direction he believed would lead into the main room, where the hellish feline had been roaming before everything went dark.
Bleed on Izoni: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Eirik Clausen
If Caleb tosses the focus there I think it'd be best for him to remain inside it - he alone can see unimpeded, after all. Anyway... if that's how it is, then Eirik might be able to get into melee range with the kitty... shift to Flying Kick style, use Acrobatics to pass through the mob and end up just south of the hell-kitten to flurry it up.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29 I hope that's enough... if not, the move fails and the mob gets one AoO, I believe

Damage, unarmed, lethal: 1d10 + 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + (6) + 1 + 1 = 12 These are subject to DR... Eirik's strikes count as magic, silver and cold iron but no doubt this creep is DR/Good like pretty much everything we run into...

Damage, rend + bleed, lethal: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 5) + (1) = 9

Jillian Falto
Can we have Caleb's actions be to move the focus, and to put the orb on the kitty? Or does that interfere too much with Eirik's attack. Don't know if you can fight something inside the water.
As the darkness moved away from her, Jillian blinked in the sudden brightness. The dark was still there, just in a different place. She could see that the troop of inquisitors was harrying Noravia, so she decided to help put a stop to it. Taking a step forward, she unleashed the might of sword and shield on the close-knit group of fighters, not even trying to aim for one or the other - just going for maximum damage. However, the strangely fluid motion of the inquisitors took a moment to get used to, and several of her blows found empty space rather than flesh.

Actually, perhaps Caleb should just pick up the focus and walk away... it'd be a great boon if he wants to duel the witch... assuming she can't see in Blacklight. Can you even cast another summons if you don't have a line of sight to the spot the creature would emerge? Might shut her casting down hard while Caleb could blast at her with impunity.
Caleb Cage
AH!
Eirik has blind fight so can navigate without penalty.
Plan was to dimension door Jillia into a backstab position.
Alright, die is cast.
Assume tossing something is not an action? He'll need to throw it 20 ft to move the orb enough to clear the area - that'll get him AoO'd.
I guess as he throws it he'll move.
As you can move and stealth, please consider CC to be sneaking. He'll be sneaking around listening/looking for someone casting.
Might as well move 10' and 5' left (speed halved while sneaking) north.
stealth: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33

Actually, can Ves just go get it? She can See In Darkness, and has a better movement. She's not strong, but a sword doesn't weigh much.
If so Caleb's actions will be:
5ft step up (to stay in darkness)
Move: Move orb through the hellcat, 15 ft south (not sure the effect on troops). Ref save to see if things are moved. If Eirik attacked the hellcat maybe it should be considered to have saved. Things inside the orb have cover.
standard: cast Death Knell Aura.
Then Ves can move.
Caleb Cage
Nah, it's all good. This way you don't end up waiting for dd sickness to wear off.
I realised what I should have done is given you a darkness tattoo. That way it'd be your sphere, and you'd have sneak attack on everyone.
