Dr. Flynn Carrigan |

"Eh. Could've been worse, though." Flynn half-heartedly consoles. "Big problem is we don't know anything about how to blend, infiltrate. From now on out, we ask before every mission if IP knows anything about the local fashion, and if they can distribute us fake ID cards. It'll help us in the event that you all keep being this jumpy."

Dr. Flynn Carrigan |

Also, with around twelve hours to kill, Flynn will put extra time into the report, since it's a +1 to skill for every time doubling.

Aurora 01A-00W |

Aurora hugs Jaq and holds out her hand. On the palm you can see the shapes of the creatures Aurora can change into. Lastly she shows 3 figures, a typical rendition of a family, Father, Mother and Child. These slowly fade to be replaced with portraits of each of the party members.
Finally she shows what looks like an underground bunker. Within a stone coffin lies with many weird machines and cables going into it. The scene changes to show Aurora lying in the coffin. Her final symbol is a question mark.

Assuming we're just in wait, who ever's piloting, Roll the Parachronic skill to ready the vessel.

Bringer of Stories |

Successfully, Flynn has set the conveyor to being received. The large "READY" screen on the console blinking in and out every few seconds. Once the timer clicks, one would have expected the conveyor to have been sucked into the dimensional steam. However, nothing seems to happen.
The "Ready" screen is still set on ready.

Bringer of Stories |

A few minutes have passed...
Like a thunderclap, the conveyor is snatched from it's current location and pulled into a dimensional stream. I reappears atop the projector's launch pad.
The sanitation procedure engages, blasting the hull with a variety of chemical powders before, after 10 minutes, extinguishing and releasing the auto-hatch.
Oddly, there is no one to greet them...

Jaquline "Jaq" Cho |

"Hello?"
Jaq steps out, noting that no one was there, and becoming distinctly uneasy. The young woman ducks back into the conveyor and grabs her gun belt before looking at the two prisoners and asking, "do you guys want to take them with us? I don't trust them, and I'd rather not leave them here unsupervised."

Bringer of Stories |

seems everything is untouched. Your battlesuit is in the conveyor cargo...i made a perceptive mistake earliar and we ended up retconning it into the cargo.

Bringer of Stories |

Something nefarious!(14): 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) = 6
Having rolled secretly for all of you...
Flynn's peripheral vision catches something dart behind some stacked cargo containers on the northern ledge of the platform. The manabug still in his pocket begins to scuttle rapidly.
Aurora's senses pick up movement near the cargo stack.
Jaq gets an uneasy feeling as the hair's on her neck begin to stand on end.
Sir Gavin adjust his coat, though is only aware that his cuffs never seem to be perfectly pressed.
The Scene:
The Lighting in the hanger is dim. The only luminescence is spawn from the floor lights (A soft blue color) on the platform itself, it's catwalks and the ledges and a red flashing light in the control tower that is dimmed but noticeable behind its shaded glass. The air is thick with the scent of wet, rusted iron.

Dr. Flynn Carrigan |

"You work on that. I think I saw something down in cargo."
Flynn pops his visor back on, and sets the spectral analysis to maximum infrared.
I can now see a very rough outline of body heat through thin objects. Also,

Flynn sees a residual set of blots form his distance along the edge of the northern ledge of the platform. He can gauge heat from the Jaq, Gavin and Aurora very well. Manabug, with a little distortion.
The conscious captive's eyes dart wildly. He then shouts:
"Why have you brought us to this hell?!"

Jaquline "Jaq" Cho |

"Shut up!" Jaq hisses as she claps a hand over the man's mouth.
"Something's wrong," she whispers, "and God help me, I'll give you something to scream about if you don't keep your dadgum mouth shut! Am I being clear?"
With that, she uncovers the man's mouth and proceeds to gear up after asking Aurora to watch her back.
If I remember right, it's about five minutes to get in and get everything powered-up in the battlesuit. She's going with the assault loadout.

Jaquline "Jaq" Cho |

"Right now, I'd rather be busted for showing off than dead for worrying about the wrong thing. Somehtin' ain't right here, and I ain't gonna be the one with my drawers showin'," Jaq answers as she continues to get ready. While she's waiting for the suit's system's to come online, she turns the radio on and scans for a signal.
"Besides, I'm in enough hot water. I don't think I could make it much worse for myself. If it makes you feel any better, stick me on point. I can take a hit a lot better in this than I could in just body armor."

Dr. Flynn Carrigan |

"You charge out that door with extraplanetary military tech, and you make everything much worse for all of us. And bad as it would be normally, now we have no escape plan. What is your death wish, woman?"

Jaquline "Jaq" Cho |

I thought we were outside already.
"Well, let's run through what just happened. We didn't go anywhere, but we were pulled somewhere, right," she asks, her voice edge with just a bit of impatience, "either we got pulled back to Mammut and something went horribly, horribly wrong, or someone else just pulled us to a spot of their choosing. Either way, me walking out in seventy kilos of powered armor is the least of our problems, unless someone decides to say hello on the radio."

Bringer of Stories |

To Clarify, you on on mummut. The Projector launch pad, in the hanger. And any active searching, use Observation or raw PER in your post p-p-pwease.
Flynn's pocket begins to squirm, the Mana-bug has burrowed its way out of the glasses case.

Bringer of Stories |

wHOOPS!
The radios are filled with static.
After a couple of minutes, Jaq emerges from the Conveyor, suited up.

Sir Gavin D'Monteforte |

"We are back at home base, but it's empty. Perhaps some enemy attacked it while we were away?" He speculated aloud.
Addressing his prisoner.
"Do not attempt to escape. We have more to discuss with each other." He said, grasping his prisoner by his collar and propelling him towards a handy cell.
If something happens, he will cuff his prisoner to the nearest handy railing. I'm assuming the scene looks like a Star Wars set, only with safety railings.

Bringer of Stories |

It was a two post jump. The first post I mentioned that nothing happened. The second post then stated that the jump succeeded but it was late. For all intents and purposes, you are in HQ's hanger. And yes, you can spend points at your leisure.
Gavin, unfazed by the goings on, takes the conscious prisoner to the holding cells. The cells require him to venture deeper into the compound, a solitary section accessible only to curtain personnel.
From the launch pad, Gavin steps down onto the lower catwalk. From there he approaches a set of steel doors, normally unlocked via nearby ID key swipe. However, the doors hang loosely off their own hinges, parted at the center ever so slightly. A cold draft bellows through, but the exceptionally thick darkness prevents typical sight from peering to far.
The prisoner is shaking uncontrollably, frightened beyond rationality.
"Don't take me in there! Take me back! Take me !"
He shouts once more, attempting to flee Gavin's grip.
Escape 10: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4) = 10
The prisoner is slowly slipping away, attempting to return to the launch pad.
Gavin reacts as planned, taking a pair of cuffs before the prisoner can fully escape his grip, not risking the event. Cuffing the prisoner to a near by railing against the lower supports of the landing pad.

Jaquline "Jaq" Cho |

Sweeeeet.
Servos whine softly as Jaq rolls her shoulders and arms. The petite woman was far more hulking in the armor of the sealed suit. The sounds of bolt and slide slamming home echoes across the pad.
"Weapons hot," she chants over the radio, as if this was all routine.
Without a word, rifle cradled and ready to snap up in reaction to any threat, she begins sweeping the bay, Infrared overlaid onto what she could see. When the conscious prisoner begins freaking out, Jaq's voice once more mutters over the radio.
"Someone put a sock in that guy's mouth. What's he freaking out about anyway?"

Sir Gavin D'Monteforte |

"Flynn, Jaq, Aurora, let's make for Security central. They should have cameras that we'll be able to see the whole base." Said Sir Gavin pulling his APD carbine and flicking the safety off.
"The rest of you stay with the conveyor for now. We'll contact you if we find anything." He said, pointing at them.
He does a radio check, just to make sure he can contact his team members at least.

Searching the darkened coroners of the hanger, the saber-tooth sniff the air and cocks its ears to discover whatever it is hiding in the building.
Aurora will use her natural abilities to search the building.

Bringer of Stories |

Jaq's HUD is picking up a variety of wavelengths, most notably heat. Oddly enough, the heat is residual, from what one can tell off the bat, it seems to be kinetic build up from movement.
There are three confirmed movement sources. One such thing atop the catwalk, One such thing below the Launch pad, and one such thing crouching atop the crates on the launchpad.
Her hearing does pick up to more then typical. Air pressure adjustments from movement, nothing more.
Aurora smell friggid cold, lightly touch the air. Her night vision also notices the same creatures in the same locations that Jaq's HUD reveals except that, instead of heat, she can see the silhouettes of the creatures before they move.
A voice, recognizable as the operator for the skeleton crew the Commandant had in the control tower, booms with cough on a loud speaker:
"Get out...Run..."
The entity on the catwalk seems to move with supernatural speed from its position.
Those with infrared catch the heat trail leading directly to the operations tower.
"oh my G-..." A blood curdling gurgle is what lingers on the loudspeaker.
The entity atop the crates hops down from its position and now stands before the group. Humanoid in form but wreathed in shadow, save for two distinct white orbs at where it's head seems to be. It stands roughly seven feet tall and radiates with an odd distortion that vibrates the air.
I have to tweak the critters a bit due to a few issues my program noticed, Ill begin that soon, either the next few hours or Tomorrow

Jaquline "Jaq" Cho |

"Heads up everyone, we have hostiles," Jaq says as she snaps her rifle up and takes aim at the creature before her, "One in the ops tower, another below the pad and a third a few meters from my position. Sirs, I say we grab the prisoners and put them back in the conveyor and contain the threat."
She sets her feet and leans against the coming recoil as she pulls the trigger.
She's firing a single shot. Unless the creature immediately shows obvious signs of surrender.

For ease of post, when you target a creature, claim which one. (1-3) also supply damage of attack for my sake. If the citters fail their defensive roll it makes it easier to simply apply the damage as oppose to wait for a new post.
Creature 1,standing before the party, moves with an odd distortion around it. it slides up to the battle suit that is Jaq and thrust a shadowy claw at her torso..
Brawl (14): 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) = 6
Slashing Damage(Divisor 2): 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14
The armor divisor divides your DR by 50% for the purposes of getting around DR. however, even at its best dmg, i don't feel that's a worry for you, Jaq. lolz
Creature 2, crawling up from the passages below the launch pad, Dashes before Aurora, it's shadowy claws slashing at her face...
Brawl 9 (-5 from target location): 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1) = 10
...However, it stops just a bit to short and catches air.
Creature 3 reappears atop the catwalk on the east side of the launch pad. one hand grips the railing while the other thrusts forward, upturned...An Unrecognizable chanting echos like tearing steal from the entity as a light blue energy wraps around it's hand...
Casting Icy Claw 12 (-4 for low mana conditions): 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2) = 13
...The energy warps and fluxes, what ever spell it was attempting doesn't seem to be working to well.
Creature 3 is 5 yards above and 3 yards away from the launch pad, diagonally speaking. There is a set of stairs that lead up to the catwalk but would take a total of 20 movement to reach it. The other two creatures are easily within range, One at Jaq, the Other at Aurora.

Jaq sighs as her shot misses then yelps in surprise at the speed of the monster that is now trying to claw at her armor.
"Whoa!"
Dodge 8: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3) = 10
The sound of claw on metal resounds through the hangar. Jaq winces at the sound and backs up enough to bring the rifle to bear and flips to full auto before pulling the trigger.
Maximum rate of fire is 11, recoil is 3 so if I read the rules right, I roll and for every 3 that I beat my skill by, another shot lands up to the rate of fire.

Dr. Flynn Carrigan |

"Can you speak?" Flynn calls out to the creatures.
Haste 15-4 (power 2): 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 1) = 5
"Right," he mutters to himself. "In any case, I'll start distorting local time conditions—Jaq, I've already explained this."
Jaq gets +2 to speed, which means higher dodge/parry and also potentially getting in a second move before the enemies. (I'll help the rest of you guys with this on future turns)
