Guns of the Dead Wastes

Game Master Wandslinger

Four brave souls set forth from Alkenstar to discover the depths of hell in the Gunworks...

Here is your discussion thread! Plan out your characters, and once you're all set we'll begin.

One thing I'd like to know: what kind of zombie action you prefer. I myself envision this game as more 'guns blazing zombie death', but maybe the group would prefer a grittier take on things, or a more twisted and strange idea. Tell me what you want.

I have a Warhammer-esque vision for my dwarf at present so gritty is good, but I am open to any style personally. I will get the mechanics worked out over the next day or two.

I like zombies. As long as we have them, I am happy.

Male

I'm envisioning a dark, brooding theme for our prospective paladin, as long as he'll be making some head-shots at close range I'll be happy.

Question; Will you be using the hero point system?

Hammer and shotgun can't wait to get to wreaking havoc upon squishy bits.

No Hero points at present. I can give the system a work over. Maybe they'll pop up in the future.

Any chance of critical hit/fumble cards being used?

I do have the cards, so...perhaps. It could be fun. I'd have to be the one doing the drawing, so that everyone could make use of them.

How are we doing HP?

Ainar is crunched out except for shopping.

Max HP at first, rolled after.

10 + 2d10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ 10 + (5, 8) + 3 + 1 = 27

HP1d10 ⇒ 91d10 ⇒ 5

Sounds good to me, DMS. I have yet to see them in action in this game.

I will have Breach altogether and ready to go tonight. I will need to get some access with my other computer in order to setup my profile all the way with Hero Lab, but should not be an issue.

Cool. I suppose I'll throw a bit more grittiness in there, given the desires I'm seeing. Once everybody is ready, we start.

Breach looks good, though a couple things need to be done: I'd prefer if you listed Gun Training as Gun Training 1, because it's the first time you get it, and pick the gun type you want it to apply to. Add the damage into the listed damage it deals.

Two, list what you are doing with your favored class bonus. I'm pretty sure it went into HP, but I need to be sure. On that note, you should have 30 HP before applying favored class bonuses. 10+9=19+5=24+6=30.

Three, show how many ranks you have in each skill.

Fourth, can you put this together in an alias?

No problem. I will whip up those notations and look over the fella in Hero Lab. Not sure why, but it sometimes transfers in a bit incomplete. But, it saves so much time, oh well.

Hmm, do we want to reopen recruitment? Only have Breach and Ainar so far. Or are you two comfortable with just a duo? The adventure is entirely modular for whatever challenge level we have.

Give me some answers.

Did this campaign Die before it started? NooOooO I wanted to see how this developed!

It sure did...
