Lunevi Ghivasha
|
Lunevi pauses at Gillii's comment and looks up. "If they come in through the roof..." she squints through the light. "I suppose we could cut them down and make them sad?"
Ella Quickblade
|
Ella gives Lunevi a thumbs up. Now that's a plan! Plus, anyone who comes swinging in through a skylight deserves to at least find a fair fight at the other end.
GM Thrawn

With preparations made, everyone waits...
After dark, you hear voices outside. After a couple of minutes, the main doors slide open, and several heavily armed people walk in. One holds a lantern which they use to illuminate their path. Seeing a wall of crates just five feet in, they begin discussing who might have been here.
You have surprise on them.
Gillii
|
Gillii waits til a fight actually breaks out before inspiring his team. He stands with his bow ready to fire up at the skylights in case that entrance is breached.
Ella Quickblade
|
Ella peers at the intruders, looking for any identifying insignia.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Which Consortium are they.
GM Thrawn
|
You don't see any identifying insignia. The woman in charge looks to be in armor made of heavy animal hides. The three men taking orders look like two humans and possibly an elf. They are all lightly armed and armored. The woman holds the lantern aloft as she shouts out orders. "Search everywhere. We know they have been here, and are likely still here."
Ella Quickblade
|
Well, easier to stab someone later than unstab them, and that would really make matters go south if they are the Kortos...
Ella calmly saunters over to greet the intruders, her rapier drawn, but held casually to the side.
Searching seems like a waste of everyone's time. My name is Eleanor Lebeda; what can I do for you?
"Fate" {Mkono wa Hatima}
|
Fate moves into position as he forms the clay into a series of half circles. He dips a hand into the pouch at his hip and adds colored pigment in a variety of hues to the arcs. He holds the form forward and snaps the now solid form. The shattered clay sends forth a burst of colors that engulfs most of intruders.
Casting Color Spray. DC 15 Will save. The cone should reach the closest three.
Lunevi Ghivasha
|
Lunevi takes advantage of the chaos to move up with Ella, crossbow in hand. If someone attacks rather than responding verbally, she'll shoot at them.
Ella Quickblade
|
Not sure how round by round we are at the moment, but Ella begins to scoop up any dropped weapons, and begins looking for easily accessibly holy symbols and spell component pouches.
"Fate" {Mkono wa Hatima}
|
2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)
3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.
5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.
So, less time than we think. (2?) 4 to 13 rounds.
Ella Quickblade
|
Well there's only three of them, so that's at least not an impossible time frame to leave them more willing to avoid a fight.
Lunevi Ghivasha
|
"Should we... tie them up?" Lunevi asks, cautious. She pulls out her hemp rope, carefully setting aside her crossbow.
Gillii
|
"I thought all snakes had snake badges... perhaps these fellows are from the other consortium? I think we can just hold them here for a few questions without tying them up, in case they are Kortos. If they turn out to be snakes, we can tie them up once we're sure."
Gillii
|
"No... who are YOU... and why are YOU here?"
"Fate" {Mkono wa Hatima}
|
"Please, forgive us. We thought you were the Aspis agents who came to harm your business. Theria ran off when you all collapsed. Again, I apologize for this case of mistaken identity."
Yeah, my bad. Totally forgot there was going to be a second group of non-Aspis. Good news, they're not dead....yay? In other news, the trap worked perfectly. However, my guess is that 'Theria' ran straight to the Aspis and they have now been alerted.
"Fate" {Mkono wa Hatima}
|
Rather chagrined, "Ah yes, well...my name is Mkono wa Hatima. My allies and I are with The Pathfinder Society. We have only recently discovered your "relationship" with the Aspis. We have learned from years of experience that they maintain a partnership only so long as it serves them. They are akin to a parasite, squeezing a host until it dies off. They then look to move on. There is a history of those who relied on The Aspis, only to find they had been discarded as soon as they had nothing more to offer. Time after time, those who have come to count on them have found themselves alone."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Ella Quickblade
|
We know that the Kortos Consortium would never willingly aid in the kind of filth the Aspis are peddling here in your city.
She withdraws some of the evidence they had procured from the Leper as a helpful visual aid.
We found and defeated the architect of a virulent new drug the Aspis seek to spread throughout Kortos, and which they hope to use this very warehouse to distribute. We will not harm your possessions gentlemen, nor have we harmed your compatriot, but we will stop the Aspis.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Lunevi Ghivasha
|
Lunevi lowers her crossbow at the exchange of words, privately relieved that they're not coming to blows. "Could we come to some sort of agreement? We'd rather not hurt you, but we've also got to handle those from the Aspis Consortium."
Gillii
|
Gillii steps back behind the crates, nervously watching the skylights alternately with the door.
Ella Quickblade
|
The skylight one's mine!
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Any snakey symbols?
