After about 30' foot of narrow passage, the stone widens out into a more cavernous passage. The light source is still about another 40' ahead. Following your way to it, your find an alcove with several desks are arranged along the northern and eastern edges. Whereas the stonework
leading to this chamber is rough, the walls in the alcove are polished. A single gem rests among the neatly filed papers on the desk, emitting a soft luminescence that brightens the small room.

Ella gives a quick look around as she approaches, but otherwise busies herself trying to make some sense out of the papers.

Gillii examines the papers too, and says "hmmm... can't seem to make out this alphabet... can't even tell what language it is. Anyone have a clue? We should take all these papers back to the PFS, I'm sure someone there will be able to figure it all out."

![]() |

You know. I really don't think we will. Ella's lips curve into a challenging smirk.
Care to cross blades over it?

![]() |

Lunevi turns to see who is here - is it the other group? They'd tried to get in and out ahead of them... Had they caught up?
"I'd rather we not come to violence," she said mildly. "It's a bit distressing."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
She gave her quarterstaff a twirl before settling one end of it firmly on the ground, keeping it planted rather than in an offensive stance of any sort. Still, it'd be easy to defend with if it came to that and she figured that she could back up as necessary.
Lunevi will back up/get out of the way if the situation goes sour

The leather clad gnome pulls a rapier, evidently willing to cross blades over the slight. His companions include a Kellid in a chain shirt wielding a great club, a dwarf in studded leather wielding a shortsword, and a robed halforc with a club. They all seem to be prepared for a fight.

"հիմար," she remarked, shaking her head. She truly did not like fighting - it caused a bit of a hiccup in her head that made her nervous and confused her speech. Still, there was little else that could be done since their course had been determined, so she put her hand on Ella's shoulder and incanted, "ալիքները ցույց տալ ձեզ ճանապարհ."
She wasn't so great in combat, but she was pretty good about helping the others around her - or at least, she tried to be.

Too late, he realizes Ella had set a trap, parrying at the last moment, and making a counter stab as he is overextended. The gnome crumples to the floor in a heap as the blade pierces him solidly.

Pleasure meeting you.

![]() |

Seeing that Ella was closest to their remaining foes and not wanting her to get caught between them, she took a few steps forward, stopping a bit closer to the... barbarian? Than she might really like, but that, she felt, was necessary to keep her companion from being flanked.
With her quarterstaff held defensively before her, she reached out to lay a hand on Ella again, granting her a bit more guidance. "ալիքները ցույց տալ ձեզ ճանապարհ."
She wasn't quite sure what to do - she'd known combat was to come, at some point, but she never did like it.

![]() |

I'll take aid anothers for more AC from the barbarian if you're up for being in the fray anyways

![]() |

Actually, here's a question - does Lunevi get an AoO if they come at her or Ella? I keep forgetting to ask about that/post it. If so, rolls below~
AoO: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Confirm: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
I looked up the Aid Another action - I'm not sure how that works, but if that's what you're wanting, Lunevi will (with the GM's permission) use Aid Another instead. I didn't know what it was and it seems to be more effective that guidance for the moment.
Aid Another: 1d20 ⇒ 10

Fate take a step back, his hands once again a blur. He forms a crescent moon with a small face in profile. It suddenly begins to swirl around the two, seeking eyes to enter.

Lunevi grimaced. She didn't think she'd be able to help Urah even if she wanted to - the two foes before them were proving to be far more effective than she liked. It might be better to help at least force one back so they wouldn't be completely screwed... Right? She took a step to her right, just behind Urah's fallen body, and smacked at the frankly rude dwarf.
Honestly, couldn't they have come to a peaceful solution?

Ditto to what Gillii said, it was not updating (and I was getting worried).
We are too evenly matched! I need to change the nature of this conflict.
Fate steps away from his mystic counter part for the moment. His everpresent clay taking the form of the huge barbarian. As before, he deforms limbs, bends the blade, twists the head so it is on backwards and doubles the body over. He crushes it to dust and blows it onto the kellish warrior.
