The four of you start to move down the backside of the hill. About a quarter-mile away, a wagon can be seen slowly moving towards Sandpoint.

Alexander Edwin LaCroix |

"Odd, they don't seem to be in a hurry, do they? Well they are heading towards sandpoint, so we can just try and get there to alert the authorities if we can't catch the wagon to question them beforehand."
Alexander will try to catch up to the wagon, without tiring himself out too much. I do still have a medium load.

Toban Ragemont |

"You're right, they don't seem to be in that big of a hurry. I wonder why..." his words trail off as Alexander starts following the wagon. He will catch up to Alexander and then go with him to investigate. "Figured you could use a hand seeing how if things turn violent you'll be useless."

Satinder Hawkes |

Satinder steps into the trees to hide his travelling chest (I have no idea how to roll a stealth check for a box. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 for a small object? Add my dex mod? No idea.) before jogging to catch up with Toban and Xander. He stares incredulously at the wagon.
"These bandits are bold, aren't they? Trundling along without a care in the world!" He shakes his head in disbelief. "Well, if we're lucky, they'll be too worn out from their brawl with the merchants to put up much fight. We may even be able to resolve this entirely without violence."
Having not anticipated combat today, Satinder is not wearing his armor, and is only carrying one dagger on his person, not five.

DM Mittean |

As your group approaches, you can hear the two men on the wagon carousing each other.

DM Mittean |

Hez, when you approach within 60 ft. of the wagon, you cast detect magic.

DM Mittean |

The men look back at you with a bit of wonder on their faces. "Who the 'ell are you?"

Jarek Prath |

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 Sense Motive
and
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Perception
Whatevers appropriate...
OMG critical again? Can I observe arms and armor too?
I`m elite hehe

DM Mittean |

The camera tracks across the men in the wagon.
The wagon stops as the driver reigns in the horse, and turns around to look at you. The armored man on the right stands, his breastplate catching the hazy sun. He hefts his long spear.
The camera tracks across the party.
Xander stands calm, not threatening, yet his hand close to the hilt of his sword. Satinder stands at Xander's shoulder, toying with something at his wrist. He licks his lips. Hez stands behind, eyes darting from his friends to the wagon. Toban stands with his right side towards the wagon, ready to draw a weapon in a flash. A small smile plays on his lips as he stares at the armored man.
The camera shows the wagon on the left, large, imposing with the armored man standing larger than life at the edge of frame, his friend in front of him. The party staggered to the right - Toban, Xander, Satinder and Hez at the far right of frame. The armored man's cloak blows lazily in the wind.
In the center of frame lies an untouched bit of trees and brush. The camera cuts in to show the bushes up close. It cuts in again to show Jarek's gun barrel, trained on the wagon.

Alexander Edwin LaCroix |

"We all being civilized men, surely we can come to a peaceful resolution! You gentlemen have procured a wagon that doesn't belong to you. Be it by mistake or not, the gentlemen would like their wagon back.I am sure you two would love to go sleep off your current condition. So I ask of you two gentlemen, please step down and give us the benefit of aiding our friends who own the wagon, and also allowing us the task of making sure you two go sleep off your spirits!"
Diplomacy
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Jarek Prath |

Trying to hear the exchange from my 20 foot sniper position. Surprise round will be mine!
Does anyone seem tohave noticed me?
Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Sense Motive 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
...to see if I`m noticed and detect if they're trying to hide it if they have.
ALSO if I hear Satinders voice INT check to recognize it: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Heres my surprise round action if needed (If either wagoneer becomes hostile, and damn right I`ll shoot first:) Shoot armored driver 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8 +5 IIRC hero point, and Damage if I hit 1d8 ⇒ 3 and SA damage 1d6 ⇒ 5
Then for initiative 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 and an action point 1d6 ⇒ 2.
I`ll then close on driver if still up and switch gun for katana during move. Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Jarek Prath |

And to confirm critical on that weak 2 damage lol 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Hey, I know ya have to declare action, hero, and luck points up front, which I did (seeing that waste of an action point), but can destiny points be spent reactively like in Star Wars?

DM Mittean |

The armored man sneers. "Well if it isn't the fat professor, the twitchy little know-it-all, 'Alexander the one-hander' and...of course...my man Toban. How's your cousin, Toban? Cause I thought she was pretty tasty." He laughs like a donkey, slapping the drivers shoulder.

Alexander Edwin LaCroix |

"Well you leave me at a disadvantage sir. You seem to know my name, and have what vaguely resembles wit I might add, but I don't know yours. How about we drop the bravado, and go sleep off our intoxication like good drunkards? I'd hate for you to have to deal with the four of us in your current state!"
Alexander says with as much heroic flair as he can muster.

DM Mittean |

"Sod off, you son of a monkey. Your mum and his cousin's had plenty of my 'release'...and I ain't dealin' with no one! If you think I care that this ain't my wagon, you must've been playin' for audiences in Riddleport." The man brays again. His friend sniggers quietly, although he appears much more concerned with your numbers than the armored man.
The driver speaks quietly to the armored man.

Hezekiah Aumvar |

Hez steps up next to Satinder, speaking to both him and Alexander. "I have a spell that should, rather harmlessly, put both of these pillars of the community on the posteriors. Shall I?"
He reaches into his spell component pouch and pulls out a small piece of cloth wrapping, slightly greasy from the butter inside.

DM Mittean |

"You better not be tryin' to put a hex on me, you chubby witch." The man laughs again, then stops short, his smile gone from his face. "Wait...are you all serious? You're takin' the wagon? Son of a - "
He turns away from the party, and hurls his spear mightily out in front of the wagon, where it lands some distance away. The man teeters, barely keeping himself from toppling from the wagon. He disembarks clumsily, and is joined by the driver. They each retrieve a dark bottle from under the wagon seats.
The armored man glares at all of you. "I'll get you for this." He takes a deep swig from the bottle, gasps and shakes his head to clear the burn of whatever he is drinking. Then he spits on the ground in front of you. "I swear it on Abadar's grave."
They turn and stalk off to the north, retrieving his spear along the way.

Toban Ragemont |

"Sad how far people let themselves go, eh Verik. Toban calls after them an in armor. As Xander states his idea Toban shakes his head.
"I'm going to have to disagree. I think we should all stay together. It will only take a moment to return the wagon and in their current state I don't think they'll get very far. I do think it best to mention what happened here today to the Sherrif since I'm sure this isn't the first time Verik has tried something like this."

Hezekiah Aumvar |

Never split the party!
I must agree with Toban. While I feel confident that my magic is sufficient to the task, I also know it to be fickle enough that, should fate not smile on us, we might be hard-pressed indeed. I think telling Sheriff Hemlock of the altercation is the best option.
