"I wish you a safe and swift journey, friends." Uori seems glad to have met you, but also glad to return to his rituals when you leave.

As everyone follows Kranzer down the northern tunnel, the damp air becomes increasingly stale, and the stench of decay grows almost overpowering. The passage turns east and opens into a small cavern littered with bits of broken glass, rotting pieces of paper and other unusable detritus. The body of a male humanoid lies facedown toward the back.

But before you can check on him or search the room, several creatures lunge out of the shadows.

Tishka and Kranzer are up.

Carefully swinging the blunted end of her weapon, she aims to wack one on the head. "Consider that your warning." she advises.

Tishka can't quite set her feet before swinging, and finds empty air. Kranzer at least makes contact, but not with enough power to affect any harm. Unfortunately, the red-garbed skeleton rips open the monk's chest cavity, and the other three begin the same surgery on Tishka's tiny torso.

Everybody is up.

I resolve in initiative order. So if Kranzer is healed by anybody, he will be conscious by the start of his turn and still get a full round of actions.

Huratas' sprint forward catches the enemy flat-footed, and he easily revives Kranzer. Eveleth is unable to deliver her spell, while Loni continues working on his. Drootina can't seem to catch the bones, but Tishka reduces one of the creatures to roadkill.

@Kranzer: Yes. It's more complicated than I want to get into, but withdrawing while crawling has multiple problems. So let's say that you do total defense for your standard, then crawl for your move. And which is correct, -maw or mouth?

Since Loni is super busy organizing a local Con I'll go ahead and bot him.

Huratas brings Kranzer back to full fighting form, and Eveleth somehow frightens an undead monster. Neither of Loni's animals is able to bite a skeleton, but he does do a fantastic job of curing Tishka's wounds.

The healing somehow manages to distract her though, as the gnome swings wide with both strikes. Kranzer tries to attack from the floor, but can't reach high enough with his short limbs.

Red panics and flees randomly, almost running into a wall before cowering defensively. The other two skeletons continue to claw at Tishka, with limited success.

Everybody is up.

Red provokes from Drootina, Eveleth, Kranzer, and the dog.

The animals will take their attacks of opportunity. Loni will use the CL 3 wand to heal Kranzer while ordering Drootina to attack red. The dog will move and attack red.

Huratas trips one of the skeletons, while Loni heals Kranzer, who takes several seconds to stand up and join Tishka--though she just took down a skeleton and doesn't seem to need much help! The animals corner their prey, though it manages to stay upright a little longer.

The skeleton on the floor tries to rip off Tishka's toes, but only dulls its claws on the stone.

Kranzer finds a note on the pale body detailing plans to start an army of undead made from the “fish people” who have been frequenting this cave. The only other things of note on the body or in the room are two pieces of jewelry, both of which emanate magical auras.

The persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline.

Three small, blue-skinned creatures and their many-legged pet seem obviously agitated by your presence, and ready to forcibly end it.

Huratas moves toward the battle, but pulls up short, crossbow in hand. Kranzer moves to water's edge, a dagger in his hairy hand. Loni begins a summons, and Drootina charges the other animal. Oddly, Tishka tries to avoid the fight before anybody actually draws blood, and Eveleth conjures a protective field around herself.

A dark haze forms around each of the mites, then shoots out at one of the Pathfinders. At a shout from one of the creatures, the centipede goes into a frenzied attack against the boar.

Everybody is up.
