I also would like to finish the whole AP.
According to the test:
Extroverted (E) 89% Introverted (I) 11%
Intuitive (N) 68% Sensing (S) 32%
Feeling (F) 55% Thinking (T) 45%
Perceiving (P) 67% Judging (J) 33%
ENFP - "Journalist". Uncanny sense of the motivations of others. Life is an exciting drama.
The description of the second link is quite accurate for what I intend with Sim:
ENFP - The Inspirer
Enthusiastic, idealistic, and creative. Able to do almost anything that interests them. Great people skills. Need to live life in accordance with their inner values. Excited by new ideas, but bored with details. Open-minded and flexible, with a broad range of interests and abilities.

I figure Books take 4-6 months depending on posting rate. That means an entire AP takes 2-3 years. Most PbP games don't last 3 months. So, committing to an entire AP is a large undertaking by PbP. I think this is about my third year anniversary on the boards, so had I started an AP and had it run all the way through, it would have been finished.
I have thought about using Hero Points, and figure this may be the AP to try them out. Anyway, I recommend reading the Giantslayer Player's guide, a free download. The campaign traits are pretty good, pick one campaign trait and one other trait.
I would recommend making a background and an appearance section on your character sheet. Some make a personality section, and the Meyers Briggs was supposed to help with that. I have no problem with personality being in the background.

Lad, I took yer test thing, 'ere them results.
Introverted (I) 68% Extroverted (E) 32%
Sensing (S) 61% Intuitive (N) 39%
Thinking (T) 62% Feeling (F) 38%
Judging (J) 86% Perceiving (P) 14%
ISTJ - "Trustee". Decisiveness in practical affairs. Guardian of time- honored institutions. Dependable. 11.6% of total population.
I ain't to sure ifin' they 100% accurate, but I be thinkin' they'll do alright lad.

I would want to try to make it through the entire AP.
In terms of personality, I can perhaps better describe Finia as torn between two mindsets. As a gnome, she is constantly desiring change and motion. However, as a change, she has tried to swear off that change for a decade and take on the more steady thinking of her adopted dwarf family. In both mindsets, she is ready to follow the dictates of honor above her own desires, though the definition of 'honor' varies a bit between the two.

I think you also missed a couple:
Dolgrym Giantfoe - Ranger
Thak Val Zsing - Monk
Rask Delvedeep - Paladin
Esmeralda "Emmy" Emberglow - Wizard
Many players competing for the non-dwarf spot! I made Sim because I thought there would be plenty of dwarf players! If you prefer, I can submit a dwarf instead of Sim.

Also, I am a grognard, and while I could certainly DM an old school (say 1E) campaign, I am not confident enough to GM a Pathfinder AP.
I have played in three PbP games:
A "Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh" variant set in Sandpoint (it lasted about 3-4 months).
A brief "We Be Goblins" game.
Current "Trail of Cthulhu" game that only requires a post every 1-2 days.
I can easily post every day.
Thanks for your consideration.

Here is Trapper's backstory if anyone is interested in reading it:
Originally from the Highhelm Sky Fortress, Trapper and his brothers found residence on the Isle of Kortos after his elderly parents discovered a bizarre, crumbling Pathfinder Chronicle during an excavation of their ancestral home’s basements. Believing the work to be of singular importance, Trapper, his siblings and their adopted human brother (a Ranger-Investigator from Galt) travelled downriver with the goal of eventually reaching Absalom. While Trapper’s family, the Beer-Basher clan, had always remained faithful to their Dwarven alignment and god, experiences with evil cutthroats, dire wolves and smelly flotsam-raiser goblins caused a profound morality shift, nudging the Beer-Bashers into Neutral Good territory.
Unable to find employment or housing in greater Absolom, the Beer-Bashers moved to Diobel, where Trapper sought answers to two seemingly unrelated questions:
1) Why was Trapper’s family heir to a worthless fallen fortress on the Isle of Kortos?
2) Why had a branch of the Beer-Bashers fought "an unspeakable evil" in a land as far remote as Varisia?
To fund his research young Trapper took odd jobs under false names along the waterfront. Skilled with his hands Trapper often found woodworking jobs on the crime-infested docks, installing secret floors, traps and false floors on merchant ships. While there, he learned a lot of roguish skills.
After several years the Beer-Basher clan split their research efforts: The older Dwarfs remained in Diobel while Trapper and Keith sailed northwest, to the Varisian Gulf.
Trapper's arrival in (what-should-have-been) the sleepy town of Sandpoint was fraught with terror. He found himself face to face with the mass murderer Chopper. Through quick wit and rogue skills, though, Trapper was able to ingratiate himself to the townsfolk of Sandpoint as he helped with the murderer’s capture.
Now, at the age of 100, Trapper has returned to the foothills east of the Five Kings Mountains, searching for "The Great Tomes", legendary journals kept by his forefather.
Trapper's quizzical expression is due to the extensive number of paper cuts he gets on his fingers trying to chronicle his family tree.
Not always the sharpest ax in the armory, Trapper does have a secondary goal of increasing his Wisdom.
Trapper cannot see the cave for the rocks.

I will close recruitment on Sunday 13 December.
Hope to make selections by the 20th so we can resume after the holidays.
I am also thinking of starting a Core only Savage Tide game as my Mummy's Mask game did fold due to lack of posting. Savage Tide is almost ten years old and I think technically the third AP.

Just curious as to why so long. Are you waiting for additional interest or is the schedule for personal reasons?
Game on!

Most drops I have come in the first month. My typical attrition rate is about 25% in the first month. I do not want to start a game and make part of the first month a Christmas holiday. I also want to wait a month to see if that helps reduce attrition. If I pick some with low posting histories, I want to know they could at least keep up with a thread for a month.
Many characters I like have less than 1000 posts on the boards. Many established GMs would refuse to take them. I am trying to find a way to take them and reduce my attrition rate.

Player attrition is sad but true in all games. Heck, I've had VERY accommodating players (excellent PCs, very active in recruitment thread, etc.) disappear after less than one week of playing so if it's any comfort, you're not the only one.
I know people are different but for me, I have more time over the holidays than I normally do (kids and wife sleep in late) so I would be very much in favor of starting December. And I know I haven't even been selected... :)
With regards to the attrition you experienced in your games, I would guess that it was one month AFTER the game started so delaying the start of the game won't change that. Most players quite after starting to play in a campaign because of many reasons (game too slow, game too fast, don't like story, can't get into character, whatever). However, I would think that the decision is made after the game starts.
Anyway, just my two cents. Feel free to ignore.
Game on!

Since this is my case (under 1000 posts), please take a look at the date of my first post. In my case, I'm indeed kind of new to the boards, joining on Sep 16, 2015. If you take that in consideration, I'd have an average of almost 400 posts per month...
Surely this does not assure that I'll not vanish (I do not intend to), but shows that I'm committed to this.
(And I know other players might be in the same situation).

Thanks for the input. I travel over the holidays, so I also want to make sure I can keep daily weekday posting on my end. The DM posting rate is the most important factor for game success. Almost as important as the posting rates of all the players put together.
Anyway, I try to make weekend posts optional and holiday posts optional. With the ambiguity of the different types of holidays, I want to make sure we get through the Christmas holidays first.
Although I agree the game itself may cause some to flake, others flake due to the media of PbP.

Just to continue to shoot myself in the foot since you may pick his PC over mine (I'm already arguing with the GM :)), I can vouch for Sir Longears.
He plays in one of my games, and he is a consistent poster (both quality and frequency) and he hasn't disappeared yet. :)
Maybe this is what we need. Some sort of ranking/feedback system for both players and GMs.

I agree that starting after Christmas is probably a good tactic.
(Below is all non Pathfinder Society Scenario games, which rarely seem to fade - probably because they are so short).
I'm in one game that has been going on for over years, one that has been going on for over a year, and one that is almost nine months. (Plus a third long-term game that is on declared hiatus for now *fingers crossed*).
In that same and nine other games that faded (one I was GM for).
Looking over them, I can say that about 2/3 that faded was due to the GM just bailing. Of the remaining 1/3 about half was an attrition of players that replacements didn't work out and the other half resulted from repeated long pauses that eventually just caused the whole thing to fold (I'm including the one that I was GMing in this).
Looking at all of this, the times that I see games fade seem to go along fairly well with school-year based vacation schedules. Summer break seems to kill games. Christmas break seems to kill games. Back to school seems to kill games.
Things that seem to keep games going:
1) If a player is fading, they should be replaced quickly by another player recommended by someone in the group. In most of my more successful games any in-game replacement came from a recommendation from someone in the game rather than re-opening recruiting.
2) Skipping a long build up - the games that start with a lack of action/advancement seem to have issues. (Skull & Shackles seems very guilty of this).
3) Active discussion threads commenting on the game/life/etc seem to keep games alive.
4) Designate a door-opening procedure. That way when someone in the party picks the next door to check, the GM can put all the tokens in place and push forward. As a GM, I would say if someone picks a door and no one else interjects within 4-5 hours then move along. That way the action keeps moving better.
5) Get player RP investment... Once the party is picked, the GM and/or the players should put together a brief backstory explaining why these random people are together. The players then should have a brief discussion of how the players would likely get along/interact - this can be done both OOC in Discussion and in person over the first few days of posting. This aids in the active discussion thread as well.
6) Sometimes there is nothing that can be done. Back luck, lack of success, fading interest can all result in a solidly GM'd game fading. Sometimes you have to cut bait and move on.

Lol, thanks Fabian! And I think we are not competing for the same spot after all! My fight is direr, since my PC is in the non-dwarf spot!
Also I'm totally cool with starting after the holydays, since I also need to travel all around.

I have a low post count due to bad luck.
If you'd like an example of my role-playing, I play Edward R. Carter, III, in this Trail of Cthulhu game: Mystery of Loch Feinn
I would love another PbP game, especially Pathfinder and will happily post every day.

If you're concerned about people's posting history, perhaps it's not inappropriate for me to make one short post about my qualifications. I would particularly draw your attention to the Devil's Gorge campaign I have been participating in. That campaign has been going on for almost five months, and you will see consistent participation from my character, with explanations when I was going to be unable to post. The only reason that I don't post more often there is that I frequently am waiting for others to express opinions or act also. My real life pathfinder games are almost all with my children, and I do PBP as a way to also play pathfinder with grownups, and not have to DM all the time.

Throwing in my hat with a Belir the Dwarven Battle-Host Tank
If you look throughout my characters I have many active games and multiple consistent posts each day.
Like I said before. I have not placed a last name on Belir yet as I am wanting to see if I am chosen choosing a clan name to go with the rest of the dwarves.

We are week until recruitment closes (Recruitment closes December 13) and I am trying to consolidate the applicants. As Dolgrym was left as the only one wanting to continue after book 1, he is already in as a martial frontliner ranger. Four more slots are still out there, and I often like to double up on the martial slot. Gary Gygax liked half his parties to be melee frontliners in his games.
Finia Devlin Sorcerer
Belir Occultist
Emmy wizard transmuter
Davinia oracle
Mulruck cleric
Harnar geokineticist
Glorik rogue
Sim Ambletor Halfling bard
Ivan background only
Thak Drop box link won't open for me
Crom Fighter
Rask Stonelord paladin
I have outlines for Dwardle a sorcerer and Trapper a ranger.

Tamxander gnome illusionist (sorry)
Trapper Trapper ranger
Are you asking me to change Trapper's character from a Rogue to a Ranger? I can do so, but just wanted to make sure... it'll require changing some of his backstory, which is fine. Or I can leave him as is, a Dwarf who had to learn rogue skills in order to survive. His real passion is genealogy :)

Finia is still here and interested. I plan to use my first chunk of free time today to finish her details on paper and transfer her stats to the computer.
I won't be able to completely fill in her background, because I want her 'adoption' by a dwarf tribe to connect closely with at least one other chosen pc.
