Alright, I don't know what's going to happen, maybe it will revitalize the game or ring it's death knell.
This game just is TOO slow. I'm quitting. I was going to wait till we were out of this section so I could be written out but it's been four months and we've only made it through a third of the dungeon. I'd appreciate being marked inactive so I don't get any notifications from this anymore.
All right man, sorry for taking your time. I understand the frustration of not getting anything done. That said, Lazarus, do something. Even if you just tell me, “I do nothing this round.”

I'm sad that everybody leaves before I get a chance to incorporate their character background into the game. For example, remember our half-orc butcher? His background was that he was running a cannibal shop in the capital until he got caught. The thing is that he didn’t finish his last victim before he was, and I was going to have your little squire boy be that victim.

Sad to see you go as well. It began very well but the fact that we are stuck in the same room in combat for 3-4 months is pretty unsatisfactory.
@GM: may I suggest that you either bot an absent PC or post things to try and revitalize the game?

It's okay, I managed to roll an average Sense Motive!
So I waited three days for Wade to make a move and he didn't, so I decided to go look at his character sheets so I could bot him and I did so by going through the posts for the game, which I now realize was dumb because I could have just gone to the character section, but it made me realize there was a larger problem. Wade hasn't posted anything for a long time so I sent him a p.m. asking if everything was okay and I still haven't gotten a message back. I decided to look for his last post to see if maybe he just ghosted the site or something and he's still posting things on here, so I think it's safe to assume that he's just lost interest in the game.
If you could all just post your actions for what you want your characters to do we can get through this a lot faster. We have one more room before we’re done with this entire dungeon, And I might as well just use these saltwater corpses to kill off the excess characters.

Okay, so we have a caster, a caster, and a caster. Good party for a challenging game but not very fun right now. I guess I’ll take over one of the playless characters for the time being.
We may be weak now, but just imagine this trio when we get a few levels under our belts!

Casius was originally built to be focused on combat using a whip - unfortunately, I can't deal lethal damage with a whip until I get Whip mastery. Of course, I can't get that until level 5, or level 3 if I dip Fighter. After I got that, I intended to focus on whip-related combat maneuvers like disarm and trip. That Fighter dip IS looking like a good idea, now, since we have 3 casters, and Lazaraus's Ecclesitheurge archetype makes him much more wizard-like.
I love the domain spell swapping abilities of the archetype, but it gives up a lot of the Cleric's combat survivability in the loss of armor and shield proficiencies.
Of course, if the GM allows it, perhaps if we have some downtime, I can retrain out of standard Mesmerist into the Vexing Daredevil archetype, which gives me the Improved Feint line of feats for free. Since Painful Stare only applies to one attack per round, a combat-focused memserist is actually best as a one-attack per round striker, making Feinting actually a reasonable strategy, coupled with adding half my level to Bluff checks.
Indeed. I initially built him as a support cleric, obviously, but if I lean into Channel Smite I can do some decent damage. As long as the foes aren't undead. Stupid undead...
Is anyone else starting to feel... doomed? :P

Also, I channel negative so I'd suddenly become much more useful in combat. Now, how to hide our undeadness to the wider world, especially as a vampire (if that's what I become...)

Okay, so I got in contact with Wade and he said he got busy for a month and then got anxious about just reappearing after not posting. I told him it was fine that he hadn’t posted in a month and that I’m not going to criticize someone for being busy and lack of posting.
He says he would be interested in rejoining if everyone else was okay with it but that he understood if we said no. I also explained to him that Wade had died and offered him the same undeath deal, or just to rewrite events so that he didn’t die.
Either is fine by me. I'd welcome him back!

He's welcome back. Either option is fine with me. I'd say base it on whether the rest of us can somehow survive this or not. If we all die, we all come back as undead. If we survive, Wade gets to live, stabilized in negatives one point above dead.
I bet Lord Whatshisface is going to be annoyed. Which I don't really care about, but still.

But he's so nice, what with helping us escape Branderscar, and giving us stuff, and making us sign an infernal pact...wait a minute...maybe he's not so nice.
Still, until we find a way around the Pact of Thorns, it may be best to treat him with respect. After all, Casius doesn't want to suffer the consequences of breaking an infernal pact. That would probably be bad for him.

Yeah, the fact that the NPC we found cowering in a closet is so far the MVP of this fight is kind of embarrassing.
To be fair, though, the conscious PCs do consist of a wizard, a cleric with wizard-like combat abilities, and a 6-level spellcaster whose damage boost doesn't work on foes immune to mind-affecting abilities, and whose PC was planning on specializing in using a whip.
You can tell there was some influence from the Bard in the Mesmerist, because there's a lot of roles that they can fill, but if you try to fill too many, you just end up not being good at anything.
