"I haven't really studied magic much, I doubt I could identify it." Evegny regrets to say.
Evgeny takes the opportunity to grab a seat and take a breather. "I think we've covered most of the ground floor from what I saw outside. Let's take a few minutes and push onward."

![]() |

No. 201113 likes Evgeny's suggestion of a break. As such, he promptly finds the darkest corner he can, and curls up in a napping position oddly reminiscent of a cat.

![]() |

Brand settles down.
"Rest. I'll take first watch."

![]() |

Truly, I did that as a joke- it seemed to fit No. 201113's dualism of a blanket lack of awareness and immediate assumption that everything he sees is a threat- but I'm game to take a full rest, as well. Up to ya'll.

![]() |

If we need to rest then Brand will take 1st watch or half of the watch as he doesn't need to prepare spells.

GM Volandis |

After a brief rest the group decides to explore the last sections of the upper level of the spire. Aldy checks that the double doorway is safe, then the group opens up the door and finds themselves staring at the opposite side of the glowing central spire. This time the stairs curve upwards into the cracked stonework of a tower. Between the glowing spire and the cracked tower it's actually possible to see without any additional light sources.
The glowing emerald spire gets thinner and thinner the higher up the stairs you go. After a quick but silent scout ahead, Aldy come back down and lets the group know that the stairs end at a sturdy looking wooden door that he briefly checked and found to be locked.
I've moved you all tot he entrance to the tower.

Aldy will give a listen at the door, and report back to the party.

GM Volandis |

Aldy initially has some trouble with the stubborn lock, but after a slight pause to remember their training they try again and unlock the door easily.
Aldy disable device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
I'm going to assume that Aldy will step back and let Brand open the door. I'm at work right now but when i have more time i'll do another post which will be starting a combat - the final combat of level 1 of the superdungeon!

![]() |

If no one is checking for traps or so. Brand will always be the one to open the door. Makes it easier.

GM Volandis |

This strange chamber pulses with the green glow of the column of glass-like crystal that forms the core of the tower. The walls of the room are damaged, and the roof is cracked. The spire in the center juts up, just peaking above the crude ceiling. A bed and a side table sit in the northern half of the room, and archery targets line the southern section of wall.
