Lazur Anil |

BOOM! The entire group jumps as Lazur's musket explodes and sends a shot past his friends toward the mold directly in front of him.
Musket: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 8 Damage: 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 + Precise Shot - Cover from friends
Through the ringing in their ears the group hears, "Sorry, I guess I should have warned you before firing."

GM Viskous |

Rywokit managed to score a direct hit causing a solid amount of cold damage to the middle mold. Lazur's attack missed the mold he aimed for.
The mold(orange dot) adjacent to Jack attempts to slam him.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
The middle slime(pink dot) moves up to Jack and slams as well.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
The furthest slime(purple dot) moves along the water and attacks Analise causing 1 point of damage.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1

The rest of you can act now! Go forth and kill the slime!

Analise Rodhire |

Although the slime leaves a small bruise, Analise gives a droll smile. "Really? That's all you can do? I've seen Wicket do better. No offense, Wicket."
She then adpots an Autralian accent and says "No my friend, that isn't a punch. Kovir nazilon!" and tries to cast the spell without drawing an attack from the mold...
Casting Defensively: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Touch Personal Spark: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

1d4 ⇒ 3
Crit Confirm 3?!?!?!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Analise's fist rushes towards the mold, crackling with a frightening amount of electricity.
As it connects, Analise gives a smirk and says "Now that is a punch."

Jack Homini |

Jack attempts to corner off one of the creatures from the party while attacking another.
Attacking pink on the map
Pick at some slime: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 2 = 6for: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Analise Rodhire |

I know that normally slimes are immune to criticals, but seriously, please let me have this? I rolled two crits in a row, and it's energy damage, not weapon damage.

Allen Starskipper |

Allen slides himself back away from the slimes in order to let another person ahead, then he aims his crossbow and tries to hit the closest one.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

GM Viskous |

Round 1 Summary
Locke drops his pack and draws his sword and begins to move into combat. Rywokit blasts a slime with a ray of frost, causing serious damage to the young mold. Lazur lets loose with another musket shot, missing the creature due to all the people in his way. The slime molds move up and attack, with only one of them landing a blow on Analise barely bothering here at all. Raven loads up her crossbow and begins the approach to the fight. Analise blasts the slime that bumped her with an exceedingly powerful blast of electricity seeming to fry it to death. Both Jack and Allen make attacks at the slime but seem to miss at the suddenness of the attack.

Locke Tresslar |

Rushing just to the left of Jack's elbow, Locke barrels down on the slime creature. Hoping his bladed weapon will be able to bisect the slime and prevent any further assault, the investigator swings the short sword heartily.
Goo Gore: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Slightly off center, Locke's wild swing doesn't account for the queasy way its jiggling alters the position of the creature's form. As a result, Locke's attempt almost appears to be scripted for a comedic scene at the theater.

GM Viskous |

The two slime molds left continue their mindless assault on Jack, still unable to penetrate his armor.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

Raven Usta |

"Excuse me, please," Raven mutters as she pushes past Lazur. "Excuse me... Hmm. Unfamiliar strain."
Upon gaining an angle on the slimes, Raven sights along her crossbow and pulls the trigger, sending an arrow quite closely past Locke. "Pardon me. Unfavourable angle, coupled with the desire to help."
Knowledge (nature) to identify the moulds: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14. Fail. >_<; Moving to shoot the yellow one. Ranged attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 for 1d8 ⇒ 6 damage.

Analise Rodhire |

Analise prepares to cast again. "And here's hoping to another falcon punch! Kovir nazilon!"
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Jack Homini |

Jack continues to hold one of the slime in place orange so that the party can pick on the them one at a time. He takes a swing at the other. pink
Pick at slime: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 - 2 = 10for: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Allen Starskipper |

Since there's so many people in the way and his ineptitude with his weapon, Allen will hold off on attacking and just wait for his friends to finish off the last one. "Good job guys!"

Round 2 Summary
Everyone and thing except Raven miss their targets, while Raven's excellent shot causes enough damage to drop one of the mold creatures.

Locke Tresslar |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Hoping to prove he has combat prowess with his sight in addition to blind swings, Locke quickly steps into the goo of the now dying moldy slime and swings at the last remaining aberration.
Goo Be Gone: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Short Sword Damage if that hits: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Locke Tresslar |

Locke lifts his blade and watches as the jelly-like remains of the mold drip onto the cavern floor.
"Do you suppose there would any benefit to taking a sample, Raven Usta?"
@GM Viskous: Craft (alchemy) roll?

GM Viskous |

@Locke: Go ahead
This liquids within the slime give off a noxious odor and you can tell if that they had longer to mature, the concentrations of pathogens would increase enough to be dangerous.

Locke Tresslar |

Craft (alchemy): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Locke glances at Raven and the others. "With time this could possibly have some use."
He pokes at one of the former slime mold piles for the corpse (or corpses) underneath.

Raven Usta |

Craft (alchemy) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
"Hmm, perhaps," Raven agrees with Locke, but she eyes the mold with evident distaste. "I am concerned, however, that if one part survives, the whole might reconstitute itself. It is a mold, after all."

Raven Usta |

"Oh, it shouldn't happen overnight," Raven says as she straightens up again. "Save a sample anyway. As Locke said, it might be made useful -- under laboratory conditions."

Jack Homini |

Jack flips the molds over, looking through it for signs of the dead's identification. When he is done, he washes his hand in the water.
Taking 20: Perception 22
Then he stands up, and walks back to the southern corridor.

GM Viskous |

Jack finds an agate in the central body's vest pocket. The bodies have been clearly looted by others at some point before they mold and fungi took root.

Rywokit Prometheus |

Appraise: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Might as well use the worst skill while I have it...
EDIT: Holy crap! I appraise the daylights out of that agate!
Dang it! Where are these rolls when I want to hit something?! ;p :D

Analise Rodhire |

Analise sighs, sits down, and closes the halfling's eyes. "So much death... Too much death..." she murmurs, then says more loudly "Come on. We need to cover more ground before the spell wears off."
The young mage stands up, and with a sad gaze at the halfling, follows Jack.

Raven Usta |

"A brief moment, if you please," Raven says, while thumbing through her dog-eared little book. "I do believe there was a short ceremony for multiple... Ah, yes."
Unless anyone tries to stop her, the Alchemist mutters a mercifully brief prayer over the bodies that had become the unfortunate basis for the fungi.

Locke Tresslar |

"Five...five dead so far. These caves seem to be much more dangerous than any have anticipated."
After making this rather obvious statement, Locke retrieves his pack but makes certain his short sword is at the ready for the next threat as he moves away from the group. He waits at the edge of where the party has previously been careful not to proceed to anywhere out of sight of explored territory without The Star Warriors.
Hmmm and hmmm. it is increasingly unlikely The Star Warriors could have had anything to do with this situation given the amount of concern over the death which has preceded our arrival into the caves. There must be a yet to be discovered foe behind the events leading to the cessation of the fire, Locke muses.

Allen Starskipper |

"Shall we continue on if everyone's ready?" Allen seems a bit anxious whenever he has to stay in one place for too long. He paces a lot and looks around, traits which undoubtedly led him to the worship of Desna, the goddess of travel, in the first place.

Analise Rodhire |

Analise nods sadly, and goes up the corridor, making sure the meat shields-I mean, valorous warriors!-were taking point.

Jack Homini |

Jack moves down the southern corridor, keeping a wary eye.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
"I don't suppose there is a trained trap-finder in our midst?" he asks, as he realizes that if someone were to try and prevent their progress, he may not notice it in time.

Raven Usta |

"I can give it a try, if you like," Raven says, shrugging. She visually sweeps the area as she moves in...
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Rywokit Prometheus |

"<Run: minor boast> I was noted as actually being relatively skilled at the academy - not in finding traps, per se, but in disabling them - despite completely lacking any training. Usually, I had a spotter, however. Still, I will help how I can."
.
.
Perception (Aid Another): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9 to find the traps.
EDIT: duh, sorry
Disable Device: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

GM Viskous |

4714.Arodus.19 12:15:00PM
The south passage widens into an intersection with a collection of crates, boxes, rubble, and scavenged metal lie heaped in the northwest section of this damp cave. Several strange chalk drawings of twisted, spiny plants, a strange three-legged creature, and emaciated four-armed humanoids mark the walls. Trash is heaped to the southeast that partially blocks the sloping passage leading up. The tunnel to the south is mostly clear of debris.
You've never seen anything like this, either the artist is simple minded and is drawing fancifully or these are depictions of things you've never heard of or imagined.
While sifting the refuse, you see lots of little technological bits but nothing seems particularly valuable with the exception of the 7 silver disks.
Sorry for the delay, RL and PFS...
S: 1d20 ⇒ 14

Raven Usta |

Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
"Hello," Raven says, squatting to inspect her find a little more closely. "Look," she says, "but do not immediately touch. Here, seven silver disks. Can we have some scanning spells here, please?"

Analise Rodhire |

Analise takes a look at the disks.
Knowledge (engineering): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
"Oh! Nice finds, Raven. These are power-drained batteries. Completely bereft and useless of any electrical charge, but sometimes people use them for currency. When they're charged, however, they can be used to power all sorts of devices!"
I wonder...
Sorry for the presumption, but I assume a 25 with the Technologist feat (or its equivalent, anyways) is enough to identify batteries.
