Buster hustles towards the cave opening, pulling out his shock grenade while moving. When he has a clear shot, Buster tosses the grenade into the group of miners. "Boom!"

Xy Xy rushesup to join the others as he hears a grenade explosion. Buster activates a grenade of his own. As it rattles on the ground the capacitors inside build up to tremendous amounts before exploding.

The electrical arc courses through the miners, just missing Talbot in the cart.

All three miners take a small bit of burns to their legs but overall not the worst they have endured thus far.

One miner bears down on Buster with his tactical semi-auto pistol. While the remaining pair moves in with clubs and wrenches.

Conrad grunts at the damage the grenade caused, but still feels confident. He looks at Jed though and worries. "We got this Jed! Give'em hell!" Inspiring boost to Jed, regain 4 Stamina points.

The envoy then turns the corner, prepping for another grenade.

Kai fires at Reynald without a hint of reluctance. time to bring down the guy that caused all this mess.

Jed manages to glance the laser against Reynald's hand causing him to yell out in pain as he shakes his scorched knuckles.

Conrad gives Jed a small boost as Kai catches Reynald off guard but only manages to hit the mining cart instead.

The cart pushes on down the track and Reynald keeps focus on Conrad.

Buster rushes over to the cart, drawing his hammer as he moves.

Buster rushes the cart but Reynald ducks down just in time as the hammer rings out in the cave of metal striking metal.

Xy Xy backs away and sprays acid at Reynald's cart.

The three miners close in on the Starfinders, clubs and wrenches in their hands.

Conrad takes a guarded step away and levels his gun at the man in the cart "Get'em!" Everyone gets a +1 to hit versus him. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 for DMG: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Buster howls like a wild animal as the miner strikes him with the club. "You actually made me bleed, you #@!&*! After I'm done with your boss, I'm going to turn your insides into your outsides!"

Kai tries to get ahead of the cart, then turns and fires another blast at Reynald.

Taking a step back Conrad Fires his gun into the cart.

Conrad manages a glancing blow as Kai manages to get ahead of the cart but continues to miss shot after shot.

Reynalds laughs. "With shots like that. You may not need to back me up for long boys." He fires back at Conrad just as he closes in on the man.

Buster swings his assault hammer at the green miner's knees.

If that drops him, Buster is going to guarded step up to the other miner's.

Buster grabs his hammer and cracks the man's knee wide open. He screams in pain and passes out as his leg flops harmlessly about. With the miner down Buster looks to the other two as they still seem pretty confident, two on one.

The clubs crack into Buster's skull, knocking the Ysoki down onto the red dirt, bleeding and dying.

At end of each of your turns you lose 1 resolve. there are several ways to stabilize.
1. Someone stabilize you with DC 15 Medicine check.
2. Healing
3. Spend resolve = to 1/4 you max (min 1). No longer dying but remain unconscious.
4. Spend 1 Resolve to gain 1 HP and stay in the fight. No longer dying and immediately regain consciousness.

Kai backs up, his confidence clearly shaken. "Uh, he's getting away!" he shouts as he fires another blast at the escaping Reynald.

"Guys, throw everything you got at Reynald! I'll take care of these two."

Buster begins swinging his hammer around wildly, and if he takes one of them down with his first strike, he gets the other one with his back swing.

Buster swings his hammer in a wide arc, causing the pair of miners to take a step back or lose a hip. The ysoki's wild attacks are able to keep them at bay.

Not wanting to leave Buster wounded and by himself. Xy Xy grabs ahold of his battery, draining it completely as another smaller wave of magical missiles arcs into the miners.

The missiles strike as one of the miners hurtles against the wall. the blast killing him while the other seems grievously wounded.

Seeing his club virtually ineffective against Buster the miner takes a step back and draws his semi-auto tactical pistol, firing a bullet at the Ysoki.

Jed sends a steady stream of laser blasts down the tunnel and one manages to singe the miners thigh.

Pincering Reynald in Conrad manages to burn away the last of the holographic images and Kai puts a bullet in the man's arm. Reynald turns to the new threat and zaps Kai as he continues to pass by in the cart.

The capacitor in the static arc pistol reaches max capacity and discharges into Kai's neck. The blast is so great that if Conrad were any closer he would have felt the electrical discharge as well.

Seeing the miner well under control Xy Xy turns and gives chase down the tracks after Reynald. "He is getting away!"

Buster moves up to the miner, brandishing his assault hammer. Buster quips, "I hope your union has a good dental plan!" as he swings his hammer towards the miner's jaw.

Conrad sends a bolt into the Ex-Starfinder's shoulder giving Kai just enough room to leap in the cart with Reynald as he puts a bullet in his chest.

Dropping his pistol Reynald grabs his survival knife and stabs it at Kai. "Big mistake."

The cart lurches around the corner, tossing Reynald against the edge, missing his strike.

Buster grabs his reaction cannon in both hands and begins scurrying down the tunnel, following the sounds of small arms fire.

"Buster get over here! Buster, he's getting away! Please!"

Conrad calls out to Kai, "COME ON! You're so close stay in this!" Kai regains 4 Stamina

Jed will double move again to get closer but still not able to take a shot.

Kai draws his baton, determined to stay in the fight. Although shaking from his wounds and the adrenaline of the situation, he tries to remember how to defend himself in a hand to hand combat, while still getting in his own hit.

Buster moves up 25 feet and fires his reaction cannon. It'll be a tricky shot because there are allies and a bit of the wall in the way providing cover; but if Buster times his shot just right...

I'm adding in Get Em' but I'm not making any adjustments based on cover.

Conrad, Buster and Jed's shots all converge on the cart at once. Reynald slumps and falls out of the cart, dead on the spot.

Fishing the body out of the cart you find a 'miraculously untouched' gemstone that fits the description of the artifact.

Talbot’s office contains scattered living items, like extra clothes and some nutrient food packs. One of Talbot’s ongoing passion projects, a recently completed but uninstalled armor upgrade, lies on the desk in the office. This is a brown force field armor upgrade.

You have arranged to rendezvous with Philt outside or town. The original agreement was Starfinders are to take the gemstone while Philt is to take Reynald.

Just in case, Conrad takes a moment to catch his breath. "Look, I didn't want to kill him, but you know what, he didn't give us much in the way of a change. We can't forget that we made a deal with whats-his-face here on Akiton. Let's collect this stuff and get back before the people get.... turbulent."

im guessing it is a medicine check this is only my second game of starfinder.

Buster takes ten minutes to recover after that harrowing fight.

"He put up a nasty fight, alright. Let's drag his corpse over to Philt so we can get paid."

Bad guys don't stabilize in Starfinder. If the damage that brought them down was lethal damage they are generally dead. I believe the book says that the GM can make exceptions to this if they like, though. That's one of the advantages of getting a electricity type weapon because they are usually Stun or Nonlethal.
