Jules Stonecutter |
Jules quietly move closer to the minatour.
"Hey Turk, flanking is so much fun dont you think?" Jules says hoping Turk will move just a little, because it is fun!
Jules smiles as she carefully puts away her bow and pulls out her two swords.
Braxton Keel |
Sorry, I haven't had computer access today to move my token. Could somebody move him for me? Last round, he moved three squares west, two south, which puts him right next to beastie there.
Braxton, trying not to let his fear show, lashes out with both shield and sap.

Not quite flanking. Flanking diagram
Juls stabs at the minotaur and cuts into it twice! The beast is begin to lag.
Turk* |
At the start of his turn Turk changes his War Blessing to +1 to hit. He then 5' steps to flank with Jules and swings his great sword, using a swift action to activate his Strength Surge for another +1 to hit.
Great Sword: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 172d5 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + 4 + 1 = 14
To hit breakdown is +1 for weapon focus, +3 strength, + BAB, +1 Strength Surge, +1 War Blessing+1 Bard Song, +2 Flank. Wow that is a lot of bonuses.

Jules Stonecutter |
"No we still have more to explore. We did find a deaf gillman who said this was a place his people came to worship."She pauses to collect her thoughts.
We also found some information about making Gillmen undead. Why someone would want to do such a horrible thing, we have yet to understand."Jules says sadly.
We definitely need to find out what is going on in here!" Jules then gets ready to head back into the cave.
"Shall we find some more fun?
Senjin Alatriste |
"We opened your bag, as you can probably tell," Senjin says with a sly smile. "Here are teh rest of your arrows."
GM Tektite |
1d6 ⇒ 3
@Senjin: You guys found the arrows in the chamber with the undead.
Janira smiles. "Such dedication! Good for you. I will wait here and begin writing up my report. Good luck, and remember, take good notes!" At Senjin's mention of the arrows, Janira gets a confused look on her face. "I did not pack any arrows, I use a crossbow.
The part heads back into the cave system, passing through the room with the diorama of Absalom and taking the other passage. After a series of twisiting turns, in which the tunnel varies from 3 to 6 feet wide and coated with the omnipresent bioluminescent fungi, the persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline.
5d20 ⇒ (10, 7, 4, 12, 20) = 53
Coming out of the tunnel, Braxton spots two kobolds across the stream! Turk's keen eyes spot a trap on the party side of the river. Outlined in red.
6d20 ⇒ (14, 9, 18, 12, 11, 15) = 79
Initiative:
Senjin
Braxton
Kobolds

Stream is shallow and can be walked across, but cost two squares of movement.

Senjin pulls an arrow and fires it at the closest kobold.
Attack 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 + 1 = 18
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Turk* |
of course, as long as he can speak before he acts. I have been at my table top game tonight.
Turk calls our a warning to the group, describing the three squares that are trapped.
Braxton Keel |
Braxton makes to charge across the stream, but pulls up short at Turk's warning. He quickly veers north and ends up in the square just below the northern most rock in the strea,. Can't seem to move him from my work computer. Sorry.
GM Tektite |
@Senjin, you back in a tunnel, so I'm going to move you out where you can see.
@Braxton, the water costs double movement, so you won't be able to charge.
Braxton moves into the chamber, avoiding the trap.
Senjin moves in and fires an arrow, hitting the southern kobold.
Attack vs Braxton: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Attack vs Senjin: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
The kobold grab their slings and fire at the two in the chamber. The southern one manages to hit Senjin with a slingstone!
Party up!
Turk* |
Turk advances at the rate allowed by his encumbering armor. As me moves he pulls a sharpened metal disk from his belt and throws it at the unwounded kobold putting his considerable strength behind the throw.
Chakram: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 181d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Braxton Keel |
Sorry, that was "charge" in the metaphorical sense, not game mechanic sense. And thanks for moving him Jules, but I meant south of the northern most rock in the stream (35 feet away from his starting position, last square counting double). He should be in the water ten feet further right.
Senjin Alatriste |
Senjin quite used to the magical arrows by now, fired two at the creatures.
Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Jules Stonecutter |
Jules moves forward to better destroy these monsters.
short bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
GM Tektite |
Finding nothing of real value on the kobolds, the party presses on through the opposite tunnel opening. After some more twisting and turning passages, you find yourselves back at the tunnel leading out to Janira. Coming out in the daylight, you find her sitting, scribbling furiously in her notebook. She glances up at your presence. "Ah, back already?! You've explored it all then I presume? Very good. Ready to head back?"
Janira leads the party back to Absalom without any further excitement. Once at the Grand Lodge, Master of Scrolls Kreighton Shaine inquires excitedly about what the party found and asks to see your notes. He compliments those who recorded notes for being certain to write down ideas and observations while the thoughts are fresh, observing that it’s difficult enough to remember what one had for breakfast the day before as it is to recall exactly what one was thinking while studying an inscription. "Since you are now the foremost authorities on the cave, I invite you to name it!" The elf says excitedly and then goes on to applaud Janira for her guidance and oversight.
Three days later, one of the masters (Whomever is the best fit for you, Spells, Scrolls, or Swords.) confirms each individual of the party as a full Pathfinder field agent. As part of the ceremony, that mentor also gifts a personalized wayfinder to the each of you, reminding him or her that this is not only the symbol of the Pathfinder’s trade but also a reminder of the three principle duties: explore, report, and cooperate.
Thus concludes #5-08 The Confirmation. Hope you enjoyed it.
Once I have everyone's numbers, I will get this reported.

Turk did you notice the link GM Tektite gave us on the discussion thread?
