Traianus kneels back down and thanks the gillman for his insight. "I'm Traianus, by the way. What's your name? And do you mind if you appear in an issue of the Pathfinder Chronicles?"
He fumbles in his pack, and then realizes he's totally forgotten to bring something to take notes with. Lucky for him, he has a sparkling intellect!

He tells you his name, which you immediately forget. Just kidding.
"My name is Uori. I don't mind, though I doubt I'll ever see it. If you all are going down that passage, why don't you take this. It may help protect you in your exploration."
Uori hands you a wand, explaining that it is a wand of shield of faith [CL 6, 10 charges].
Feel free to add whatever interaction you'd like as you move on.

The cave’s damp air becomes increasingly stale as you continue down through this tunnel, the stench of decay growing increasingly evident. The passage turns to the east and opens into a small cavern littered with bits of broken glass, rotting pieces of paper, and other unusable detritus. The body of a humanoid creature lies facedown toward the back of the cavern. Three more humanoids in various states of decay slowly shuffle around the room. As you enter their heads turn toward you in unison and they begin to shuffle in your direction!

GM if I'm reading the rules correctly; I can use a wand if the spell is on my spell list, even if I don't have the appropriate level to cast the spell! If that's correct..Makon will pull the wand of burning hands and roast 2 of these guys!
burning hands dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 4

![]() |

As long as it's on the list, you can use it, even if you are not yet at that level (or even at a level that allows spellcasting).
Makon draws a wand and, speaking the command word, unleashes a torrent of flame that briefly envelops two of the zombies. Was this Janira's wand of burning hands? If so, it's CL 3, so would do 3d4 damage.

Mar Leigh takes a five foot step forward and begins to play a Raging Song.
Inspired Rage (Su) At 1st level, affected allies gain a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution and a +1 morale bonus on Will saving throws, but also take a –1 penalty to AC. While under the effects of inspired rage, allies other than the skald cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration. (Unlike the barbarian’s rage ability, those affected are not fatigued after the song ends.) If an ally has her own rage class ability (such as barbarian’s rage, bloodrager’s bloodrage, or skald’s inspired rage), she may use the Strength, Constitution, and Will saving throw bonuses, as well as AC penalties, based on her own ability and level instead of those from the skald (still suffering no fatigue afterward). However, inspired rage does not allow the ally to activate abilities dependent on other rage class abilities, such as rage powers, blood casting, or bloodrager bloodlines; the ally must activate her own rage class ability in order to use these features.
Sorry, I don't know how to create one of those nice Show buttons to display all the information.
The song is voluntary meaning that allies do not have to accept its effects if they do not want to experience them.

Son of Cayden then stops, and becomes dead serious for a second. He then looks around nervously. He looks at his tankard. Fills it. And drinks. A minute later he walks by Traianus and says, his tone overly harsh, "Don't talk to the corpse man... come on..."

Since we have 5 classes that have spellcraft as a class skill, and not one of us is trained in it LOL..I'm going to take the liberty of getting a little meta here. Clearly we were meant to use some of this magic during or adventure. If the GM disagrees he can always say the magic doesn't work unless identified. What I'm going to do in this post is, not beyond the pale of my character's personality so, I feel it fits right in with this adventure.
Makon inspects the items found and says to Son of Cayden while putting on the ring, This ring is pretty is it magic? Makon holds up his hand ring on his pinky. Makon hopes Son of Cayden, can tell him if the ring is magic and what it can do. (assuming Son of Cayden cast detect magic, we'll discover the elixir is magic too,) When Makon discovers the elixir is magic he exclaims, Ohh Really! Let's see what it does! Makon un-caps the liquid and takes a sip perception to identify a potion or elixir: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Makon smacks his lips and makes a funny expression, Can't tell what it does but, it taste like mint!

Nuethro suddenly perks up, "I hear a woman's voice in the distance." He tilts his head to listen more clearly and slowly heads toward the northern wall. He then sniffs the air, "You smell that. This many times playing Confirmation and never realized there was a secret door there.

My kingdom for some sovereign glue and a good sleight of hand check...
Traianus looks at the dhampir corpse. "Undead army, eh? Sounds like you f$~&ed up big time, buddy."
He stands and looks at Son. "If that--" he gestures at the scrap of paper, "is right, I can't defend what he was doing. But you never know what might have driven him to this plan. And after all, you catch more flies with honey than--"
At this point, he finally notices the secret door. "A secret door? Oh! We should check it out!"

Celeste listens.: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
"I can't hear anything." she chirps. "Except the sound of a wise man reminding you that you can't always make things better by talking to them, Traianus!"
She gives Traianus a kick in the head with a tiny scaled foot.
"Now how about you go see if that voice Neuthro hears is your mission leader's?"
Celeste will try to drive Traianus through the secret passage.

Son of Cayden casts detect magic to accomodate Makon.

Son detects that the ring and the elixir are, indeed, magical. After a few moments staring, he finds that the elixir gives off a faint transmutation aura, while the ring gives off a faint abjuration aura. Your detect magic can't really help him other than confirming they are magic. If you want to identify them, you can make spellcraft checks.
