Heading for th estrange sound, you find that Onix has somehow rotated the "carousel" as the room with the non-working robots, through which you entered, is no longer there. Exiting into the new room, you see one, most definitely working robot in the the new room. It moves to attack as soon as you enter!

Any potential threat, such as a hostile creature approaching, allows the fascinated creature a new saving throw against the fascinating effect.
Does that apply here?

Fascinated wrote:Any potential threat, such as a hostile creature approaching, allows the fascinated creature a new saving throw against the fascinating effect.Does that apply here?
The approach or animation of the creature does not count as an obvious threat to the victim of this particular fascination effect (although the creature's attack does count as an obvious threat and ends the fascination immediately).

Itra grunts and throws a glance at Rani and Peperic. "Get up... I'll try to draw it away to give you some space!"

Heal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Oh sure, now the good rolls come out.
With a nod to herself she takes note of the telltale signs of life, letting out a relieved sigh and retrieving her sporadically-functional wand. She shakes it a few times and has to repeat the command word, but finally it works and the stony man's injuries begin to close.

Who else needs healing? Itra's at 5/21.

GM Tektite |

Save it
Having healed everyone enough to walk out, you find that getting the rooms to rotate has exposed an exit.
Travling back to the Grand Lodge with the two "bandits" in tow, you are soon in the office of Valsin. Initially, Ambrus Valsin is stunned into silence by the party's report, then heaps simultaneous praise and disapproval on you—he commends you for surviving a much tougher test than intended, but criticizes you for not immediately leaving and reporting in upon discovering the security sublevel. In the end, though, both the deed and discovery stand out, and local Pathfinders—many of whom begin in-depth investigation and cataloging of the hidden complex—regard the party with high esteem. In the months to come, explorers seeking more hidden secrets swarm the Red Redoubt.
@Itra: Give me a couple diplomacy checks for the two bandits.
That essentially wraps it up. You can post Day Jobs, I should have all your PFS numbers.
I'll try to get chronicles out tonight, tomorrow at the latest.

![]() |

No day job for Peperic, but I think that levels him. Also, assume Pep would use your wand on you, no need for UMD. No sense wasting when I just have to wave my hand...

GM Tektite |

After much talking to, Itra manages to persuade the one time gang members to turn their life around!
Session was reported yesterday and everyone should have their chronicles pm'd to them now.
@Itra and Peperic (and maybe Rani): You guys should join my Gameday run of Before the Dawn pts 1 and 2. I'm guessing Itra and Pep haven't played it, not sure about Rani, fairly positive Onix has.)
