The naga seems to be moved deeply by the banker's speech, with the hint of a tear washing down from a serpentine eye. "Your words bolster me and I give you my word that I will reconsider the direction this town will take. If you must, you can take the Annals to study, on the expectation that they will be returned in the future..."
Amira El-Amin

"I assure you on both my life and faith, that these will be returned." Amira waves Toshi over in lieu of her normal yelling summons to be provided parchment and ink. She writes up a simple contract (in Tien, since Tongues doesn't work that well on paper) that she will see the annals returned, and should they go missing while under the care of the Pathfinder Society, that she will find them to the best of her ability.
Marisa Hayami
|
"Woot!" Marisa says after the contract is signed, hiding her slight melancholy. "Job's done! Lets go party!" Marisa grabs Amira's arm and pulls her to the nearest tavern.
Riddleywhipple, you have a "kiss me" sign and some solvent glue to put on Amira's back?
Xian Taiko

Well done Amira san. You do well for the Society in these negociations.
Said Taiko with a frown to Marisa and her chearful attitude
Desmond Aesculus

Desmond catches up to Marisa. "That is the best idea anyone could have at this point. I always like to sample a taste of the local poison. Please, allow me to accompany you."
Mordo Canta

Riddleywhipple, you have a "kiss me" sign and some solvent glue to put on Amira's back?
Riddywipple rummages around in Mordo's pack, sending rations, candles, and other oddments flying. He produces a blank sheet of parchment, a pen, and a small squeeze bottle and grins maniacally.

Amira gestures towards the ninja, "I do believe you have Marisa and I confused; I have very little proficiency with offensive magics. But thank you for the praise, regardless."
She struggles and turns to the mobile party, "First, I don't drink, and second, we have yet to actually deliver the scrolls; our job is only half-done. I suggest we meet with Amara Li in Goka, as she is the Society's representative for the entire nation and is the closest completion point, since I can freely travel between there and Absalom." She tries to free herself from the flying wizard's grasp, "Once you're there, I'm sure you all will be able to find something to do; its the most versatile city in Tian Xia, and far kinder than Katapesh or Kaer Maga."

Returning to Goka with the Annals, Amira Li is pleased with the party's success. After countless bows, she commends the party for their "discretion", but expresses some concern that the Society may have been portrayed as somewhat "ham-fisted" in their dealings with the nagaji. She is singles out Amira as the great diplomancer that she is and suggest that the Abadaran may have made enough in-roads to salvage the mission.
Reaching into her kimono, she withdraws a bundle of papers, passing them out the each party member. "Your next mission." She says in way of explanation. "Good luck in your future endeavors." She says with a formal bow.
As the party begins to file out, she takes Amira to the side and whispers in her ear, an embarrassed look upon her countenance.
Thus concludes Red Harvest
