GM ShadowLord |

Renliat's quickly loosed bolt flies way off its mark and disappears into the beyond of the chaos below. Garris' flame takes down the flame between Sarada and Kreagor, leaving only the one who was previously drumming remaining.
Kagak takes a step back away from Sarada and unleashes a loud ear piercing scream in his direction, inaudible to all but him. Sarada needs a DC12 will save or be dazed for one round and take 8 damage. Passing the save halves the damage.
R2: Garri, Kagak, Sarada, Lialda, Orcs, Kreagor, Renliat
R3: Garri, Kagak, Sarada, Lialda, Orcs, Kreagor, Renliat
2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8

Sarada |

Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Sarada yips in annoyance before shaking his head and stepping up to strike.
17 AC.
Greatsword: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 19
Damage (Slashing): 2d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 6) + 4 + 1 = 14
AEGIS: allies within 10ft get +1AC and +1 Will.

Lialda Boreana |

Sorry, coulda sworn I'd replied to this one.
With her lack of success with the crossbow Lialda moved closer to the engaged orc and shifted her grip to be one handed on the weapon. With her now freed hand she chanted and gestured sending a beam of sheer cold at the orc between her two companions.
ray of frost with buffs: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 1 + 1 - 4 = 191d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Kreagor |

Wanting to free Sarada to assault the drummer, Kreagor shall swing at the orc in front of him.
Long Sword w/ Raging Song: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 1 = 5
AC is currently 18 due to Sarada's Aegis
EDIT - If there is no remaining orc between me and Sarada, Kreagor will move forward and attack the drummer. A bit confused since there's a token on the map but Sarada/Renliat killed the last remaining enemy

Garri Leaflock |
Garri's action is in the next round, so I don't know if this attack will happen or not, but I'm still posting it. Please let me know if the use per day should be marked off.
Garri again asks the Lady to smite the bad one with fire, and then points. Another ray of fire shoots out from his small hand
ranged touch attk: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
and hits the drummer.
dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
I sure hope this is the big bad of this part, Garri is very low on resources...

GM ShadowLord |

The continued piling on from the party is enough to put the creature formerly known as Kagak on his back. He stumbles backwards into the corner of the tower and falls to knee before relenting and collapsing over his his drum. Searching through the body of the fallen orc drummer and his warriors, you find several interesting items which consist of a potion, a satchel full of scrolls, a wand, as well as his other mundane equipment.
From atop the eastern lookout, you can see lower Trunau and the craggy hills beyond the town’s walls. To the northwest, just on the other side of the Barterstones, a group of orcs is operating a catapult, bombarding the guard tower above the Hopespring with flaming boulders. To the west, another massive boulder smashes into one of the town’s guard towers, which collapses into a heap of rubble. In addition, small groups of orc raiders can still be seen charging toward the town’s main gate. You also make out the forms of mounted Trunauan guards, Kurst and his companions, charging a group of orcs to the north who are accompanying a monstrous giant hurling boulders at Trunau’s palisade. All throughout the city the fighting is intense, but the feeling you get is that the hardy Trunauan guard will soon be overwhelmed by sheer numbers of attacking orcs. It is quite clear that your job today is not yet done.
If the pace of this scene seems frenetic it is because it's supposed to. They are trying to convey that the siege is relentless and taxing the defenses of the city against seemingly a continuous onslaught of challenges.
Loot: Potion of cure moderate wounds, scrolls of cause fear (2), scroll of charm person, scrolls of grease (2), scroll of remove fear, scrolls of summon monster I (2), wand of cure light wounds (24 charges), thunderstone, mwk chainmail, mwk light steel shield, mwk battleaxe, throwing axes (5), antitoxin, war drums, falchion (6), javelin (6), studded leather armor (6)

Sarada |

Sarada could use the Chainmail, but I don't know if we have 2 1/2 minutes to spare.

Garri Leaflock |
Garri notices that Sarada is standing funny, like he is hurt, so he goes over to his friend. Garri pulls a wand out of his pack and waves it in the air for a second. Then he lays a hand on Sarada's shoulder.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Noticing that Sarada still looks hurt, Garri repeats the process.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"OK now?"

Sarada |

"Yes, little friend, thank you." Sarada happily says to the goblin.

Kreagor |

Surveying the scene below him, Kreagor grows worried.
There is too much to do, and not enough time
To his companions, "We should continue on to light the beacon by the Hope Spring and then move to the main gate. If we can secure the main gate then maybe we can sally out to deal with the catapults."

Sarada |

Sarada nods to the hobgoblin.
Don't suppose I can switch armor on the move?

GM ShadowLord |

Leaving the tower the party heads back out into the fray. From the opening of an alleyway, you spot two half-orcs cornering a man that the locals of Trunau would recognize Aleril. They have their backs to you and are roughly shoving the man against the back wall of the alley. You hear one of them say to the other in common, "What do we do wit 'im, Urnsul? Maybe use hammer to break knees so he won't run away from us!"
"Sounds good, do it."
The alley is 30 feet deep and 10 feet wide. You all get a surprise round since they are too busy bullying Aleril to hear you coming.

Sarada |

Sarada narrows his eyes before bursting into a charge at one of the orcs. You can charge in the surprise round but you only move up to your speed.
15 AC.
Panthera on the Hunt (charge): 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 21
Damage (Slashing): 2d6 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 16
AEGIS: allies within 10ft get +1AC and +1 Will.

Kreagor |

I dropped my longsword when I took the battle axe
Seeing the orcs in the alley way, Kreagor follows after Sarada but doesn't manage to cover the distance.
Move action but can only go 20 ft due to encumbrance

Sarada |

The name didn't ring a bell, but you also didn't mention the genders of the half-orcs at first either.
EDIT: Also it's been a year, I've slept since then.

Lialda Boreana |

With little she can do in such tight confines with her companions already up there Lialda focused and used her powers to place a ward upon Aleril to protect him until they can take down his attackers. She said to her companions, "We need Urnsul alive, she might be able to shed some light on the murder we are investigating."
Aluril gains the following: The warded creature receives a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saving throws. This ward lasts until the warded creature is hit or fails a saving throw. A witch knows when a warded creature is no longer protected. A witch can have only one ward active at a time. If the witch uses this ability again, the previous ward immediately ends. A witch cannot use this ability on herself. At 8th level and 16th level, the bonuses provided by this ward increase by +1.

GM ShadowLord |

Renliat heeds Lialda's comment and aims his bolt with expert precision, inflicting as minimal damage as possible with his shot. The female orc raises her falchion and slams it down on on Aluril's head. Well, it would have hit Aluril's head had Lialda not properly shielded him from the attack. After her failed strike she drops her weapon and raises her hands, speaking to the party. "This is a misunderstanding! I work with the local smith in town! This man was aiding the enemy!"
The man looks incredulous as the accusation from Urnsul. "Wh-What?! I-caught her aiding the orcs!"
Urnsul retaliates, "LIES! We spied him hiding some orcs and passing out weapons! Sara Morninghawk can vouch for me!"
Renliat Crossbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Renliat Crossbow Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
2d8 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Urnsul attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Kreagor |

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 14
She is definitely lying
Moving up to Urnsul's partner Kreagor says, "From the trail we've found your lying!"
Kreagor then swings his battle axe at the second orc.
Longsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Sarada |

Are we back to our turn or is it their turn or...?

GM ShadowLord |

There were two half-orcs. Sarada, Garri and Renliat blasted one down and the remaining one is Urnsul. She attacked Aluril but was defended by Lialda.
Kreagor's attack misses, but his point is well taken - We greatly outnumber you.
Urnsul drops her blade and holds her hand up in the hair. She shakes her head, "This is just all one big misunderstanding is all. You're consumed by the battle going on is all. We should sit down afterwards and talk about this, but for now we should fight off those invaders of Trunau!!!" She looks to the party as she speaks, trying to sell her story and spare her life.

Garri Leaflock |
Garri speaks in his firm voice, the one he uses when he believes he is speaking for the Lady. "If you really mean to be good, let us tie you up while we deal with the invaders. After we deal with them, we will talk to you and give you an opportunity to explain." Garri is also using formal 'human talk' which is why he's using pronouns.

GM ShadowLord |

Urnsul does not appear to like this suggestion and shakes her head. "No. I'm a trained warrior and would provide much better assistance to the town combatting the enemy. Please, just let us return to the battle."
Aluril looks incredulously at her statement, "What?! Absolutely not! She was going to kill me before you arrived! Traitor, TRAITOR!" he screams while pointing his finger at the half-orc.

Kreagor |

"Those are your options Urnsul. Be tied up or put down right now." Kreagor says with steel in his voice "I would prefer to give you a fair trial, so please opt for being tied up."
Kreagor will prepare to attack Urnsul if she does anything to try and escape.

Sarada |

Sarada readies to act alongside his hobgoblin friend.

GM ShadowLord |

"Alright, alright! I'll agree, just don't hurt me! This is all one big mistake!" She holds her palms out to you in a non-threatening manner and once you see has no weapons she moves them behind her back so she can be tied up. "Tie me up then Hogoblin."
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Garri Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Kreagor Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Sarada Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Renliat Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Lialda Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Kreagor |

"End her, she's trying to drink a potion!" Kreagor calls out while dropping his shield, stepping back from the orcs and casting a spell.
Kreagor casts ear piercing scream on Urnsul. Urnsul is dazed and takes 1d6 sonic damage unless she makes a DC 14 fortitude save, in which case she takes half damage and is not dazed
Ear piercing scream: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Sarada |

Letting out a calm breath Sarada steps up to strike the Half-Orc, channeling and purifying some of the viciousness into healing the poor Aleril.
17 AC
Enduring Crane Strike: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage (Slashing, Good): 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 = 10
Healing: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 very poor Aleril -_-
AEGIS: allies within 10ft get +1 AC and +1 Will.

GM ShadowLord |

It doesn't take much for Sarada to lead the way in the party taking down the dazed and unarmed Urnsul. Within seconds she lay bloodied on the ground before you. Aluril ignores her and breathes a huge sigh of relief. "Thank you! For a moment there I thought you were going to let her go!"
He looks around and surveys the carnage around town, the screams and clash of battle still ringing loudly. He pulls down some rope from a nearby post and offers, "I'll bind her and get her to the guards for questioning later. It seems like you need to get back into the thick of it again? Or do you want to wake her to question her?" He reaches into his pack and withdraws a set of portable platinum merchant scales and hands to you. "Here, take this. I would be dead with you and this would be meaningless. At least this way I can know they will go to good use."
A quick search of Ursnul uncovers a potion of vanish, alchemist’s fire (2), thunderstone, mwk studded leather, light crossbow with 10 bolts, mwk warhammer, shield, cloak and 7 gp.

Sarada |

Sarada bows to Aleril and then turns to the others. "Where to next?"

Kreagor |

"Lets press onto the Hope Spring beacon. It still needs lighting, now more than ever." Kreagor says while sheathing his blade and readying his crossbow.
Kreagor will also pick up an alchemists fire and a thunderstone.

Lialda Boreana |

After taking down the traitorous Urnsul, Lialda approached Aleril and asked, "Have they managed t harm you? I can offer a bit of healing. It won't leave us short anything."
If he needs/acceptes healing hex: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
After Aluril headed out with the captive Urnsul the witch Lialda nodded in agreement, "Yes, I think the Hopespring is our next target."
