Sorry all!

Renliat strides in, rolling up his sleeves casually. He palms a handful of multicolored sand, then holds out his hand. "Kluchuduun ingis." A spray of violent colors erupts out to engulf them!

Color spray, DC 16. I think I can catch all of them, but if I'm mistaken then I'll just catch as many as possible.

TG1 | FF

Ok - time to get this show on the road again. *blows dust off game*.

Renliat moves just west of the half-orc and blasts a spray of color across the table and it's occupants. The orc was clearly and completely unprepared for such an assault and slips from the chair to the ground with a thud. Amazingly the two humans seem to have anticipated this assault and steel themselves against the magic. The rear most human however was a fraction of a section too late in bringing up his defenses and flips over backwards off the chair to the floor as well.

The sole remaining human slips his dagger to his hand and moves forward, thrusting it into the wizard's gut. The belly of the elf immediately blooms red as blood begins to stain his clothing. (4 Damage)

With the foes currently sleeping, the party quickly moves to bind and restrain them before they awake. The prone barmen who wasa playing dead slowly lifts his head and breathes a huge sigh of relief. As he struggles to his feet, Kreagor and Garri enter the room. The man is injured and groans as he pulls himself up. He moves behind the counter and withdraws a few items and sets them on the counter. "You just saved my life, I can't thank you enough. Please, here, take these. I hope they are of some use to you."

He sets four vials on the counter and says, "These both will fix you right up if you're not feeling right well." Potion of remove sickness x2, soothe syrup x2. He continues, "Sorry I don't have more right now. I can offer you lot free drinks for life here though! Whenever you are thirsty, you just make your way right here I say!"

What happened here...

Surveying the situation Kreagor realizes they probably can't deal with the prisoners themselves.

"More prisoners already? Barkeep, is there any way you can watch them or go get some one too? We need to hurry onward to the hopespring beacon." Kreagor says.

TG1 | FF

The prisoner straightens up and clamps his mouth shut at the prospect of losing his arms. The barkeep surveys his prisoners and nods. "I'll keep an eye on them until can get someone to relocate them to a more appropriate location. Go ahead, get on your way now. I'll have this."

As you move back out the doorway, Brinya pokes her head in. "Is there wounded in here?" Taking note of the wounded barkeep and his prisoners, she waves her hands towards the barricade by the entrance and two acolytes come running over. The three of them manage to escort the prisoners back to the triage area as you make your way onward.

In short order you come across a home that is ablaze. Long flames lick the walls of this sizable house, and burning beams crumble to the ground beneath the weight of the sagging roof. Though the front entrance remains accessible for now, the conflagration rages beyond control, threatening the lives of any residents that might be trapped inside.

From inside, clear sounds of help can be heard inside. Making your way to the home, you stop when you see three orc gathering outside of the entrance. They are laughing and pointing as they watch the house burn, preventing anyone from escaping.

Hatred growing in her over the actions of the orcs Lialda drew her crossbow, a bolt already loaded, and fired at the same one that Garri threw his flame at. Sadly she forgot her mother's first rule, never attack in anger, and she knew as she pulled the trigger that her shot would miss.

Sarada's charge flattens one of the orcs who did not anticipate the ferocity of the gnoll. His body flies into the wall nearby, broken and bloody. Lialda's bolt misses the second orc, but Garri's flame scorches the remaining creature quite badly. With just enough life remaining, the creature scurries and withdraws away into the alley.

With the imminent threat removed, the fire now looms before the party with the plea for help from inside broken by fits of coughing.

The house is burning badly before you, how would you like to proceed? Flames are evident from every entrance point and dark smoke is billowing out from everywhere. There are several windows and a front door, all of which are open. The blaze has clearly been burning for sometime now and you might guess there isn't much time left before it will be impossible to enter and do anything with. How would you like to proceed?

Sarada rushes into the smoke and is quickly overwhelmed by the level of smoke in the building. He quickly sizes up the situation before him. Sara Morninghawk and her wife Agrit Staginsdar are before him in dire need of assistance.

Sara is trapped under a fallen beam and is unconscious and bleeding badly, likely quite close to death. The beam that has pinned her is tremendous and unlikely that a single person could move it on her own. Agrit is pushing and pulling at the beam however, doing her best to free her wife. Worse yet, the fire has now reached nearby and will spread to the beam and Sara within seconds.

Smoke - A character who breathes heavy smoke must make a Fortitude save each round (DC 15, +1 per previous check) or spend that round choking and coughing. A character who chokes for 2 consecutive rounds takes 1d6 points of nonlethal damage. Smoke obscures vision, giving concealment (20% miss chance) to characters within it.

Renliat steps closer to the burning building, a steel gaze in his eyes. You know the magic. Take the element, convert it energy, redirect it. Renliat takes a breath as he widens his stance and begins making symbols. Just don't think about how you've never succeeded at that last step yet. "Ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik...ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik...ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik..." As Renliat chants his hands beginning tracing glowing runes in the air which seem to beckon to the flames hungrily consuming the house. "Ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik..." The flames begin burning low as if being calmed, turning to white particles and dissipating as they flow towards the symbols Renliat is drawing. "Ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik..." The fires burn low, then stop burning as the symbols next to Renliat glow brighter and brighter. Renliat inhales deeply. "Ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik..." The runes close with Renliat's body, wrapping over him like tattoos. As they pulse with brightness an edge of fear creeps into Renliat's eyes. Stay calm. Fire has no power over you, you hold it in your sway. Keep the chant stoic, a steady voice... A bead of sweat runs down Renliat's face as he turns, starting to face an abandoned street. "Ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik...ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekir ekik...ixen ekess bekir, bekir ekess ve, bekik ekir..." The runes suddenly glow white hot and pulsate violently as if the thing placating them has suddenly struck them and Renliat's eyes go wide in fear. No...

BOOM!!! In a violent eruption the fire rips out of Renliat's body into the sky, the screams of the elf and the smell of burning flesh filling the air. It only lasts a moment as the fire dissipates into the air, but Renliat is left in a smoldering heap on the ground.

Despite the momentary respite for examination of the necklace, the party continues to feel the pressing need of urgency behind their task. Raiders continue to murder, plunder and destroy the people and valuables of Trunau with each passing minute. Rhythmic pounding of war drums, orcish battlecries and people scream fill the air.

Renliat turns toward the east, long ears twitching. "War drums, eastern lookout tower. We could reinforce them." Renliat winces and stands. "We should stay together either way.
