Tanwen Anwyl
Sounds good, it's a shame to lose Mira, but good to know the game will not die, I am enjoying Tanwen too much to let go of her.
Cale Vatay
I'm the one messaged, little bit of arcane, little bit of tracking and nature stuff, little bit of sneaky skills,
plenty of melee awesomeness.
Cale Vatay
After choosing spells known, stating out my animal companion and reciving my harrowing this character can join the group.
Tanwen Anwyl
I'm sure you are already aware, but you are currently lacking an alignment, which may be important to your harrowing.
Cale Vatay
Oh! 1d2 ⇒ 1 chaotic good, neutral tendencies on the law/chaos axis.

"I see..." he mused as he read over the cards. "The positive aspect of your past is represented by the Idiot - which, being misaligned, refers to clever feigning of idiocy. Your family's false magic had a greater benefit for you than you may have realized, particularly because this is your only ability card. The positive aspect of your present is the Trumpet, which stands for a declaration of power - the declaration you made when you helped thwart the goblins that were attacking the northwestern part of the city. Your positive future is the Survivor, which stands for rebirth through an ordeal. Yes, I think you will survive better than you might expect."
He continued his reading, looking down to the middle row. "Your uncertain past is also your only alignment card. The Juggler states that fate is on your side - perhaps you would never have come here at all if it hadn't been, but you may have been happier if you hadn't. Your uncertain present is the only true match in this spread, and therefore particularly important. The teamster focuses on a driving external pressure upon your actions, and it is not yet clear whether this will turn out for the best. Your uncertain future is the Brass Dwarf, which states invulnerability to certain peril. In short, you may in fact be vulnerable to something you believe yourself resistant to."
He moved down to the bottom row. "Your negative past is the Locksmith, which represents the keys to a new destiny. However, its placement means that you have lost the chance to unlock that destiny - a most unfortunate placement. Your negative present is the Avalanche, which represents unthinking, unrelenting disaster. Your negative future is the Midwife, which is misaligned and refers to dangerous new arrivals."
"There is only one line here, and it's a curious one. Beginning from your positive past and going towards your negative future, this line includes both your misaligned cards, your ability card, and your only true match. It seems that your feigning of idiocy has led to pressure in your life, and that through this you will meet people you'd probably rather not."
He raised a hand, and the cards gathered back into the deck. "I must say, quite a curious result. Well, then, take this to help you on your way."
You have gained the following ability:
Sniper's Riposte: You're an expert at defending yourself while aiming a ranged weapon. You don't provoke attacks of opportunity from making ranged attacks.
All right, now that that's out of the way, take a look at Tanwen's profile and format yours to match. ^^ Special abilities being alphabetical, bolding in the same places, etc. You can keep a second sheet for your own reference if you prefer - this'll just help me quickly locate things when I need to reference them. Add the info for your stat bar, too.
Cale Vatay
Cool, in character he'd have a dozen questions and take a rather significant amount of offence at the whole pretending to be an idiot thing, if anything he pretends he's more capable than he is
Cale Vatay
Aah, as, he wouldn't see that, but it works just one for me makes pleangy of sense and it fits in with the trope of how prophasies can be intreprated on various ways :)
In addition, he scorned his parents for playing others for fools and refused to learn from them, which is also foolish as they each knew just a smidge of magic and theoretically if he had swallowed his pride he might have been farther along by now, his mother in particular could have taught him of alchemy, a subject of which even now he remains ignorant.
That being said, with this new ability I might go archery path next level instead of TWF
Cale Vatay
I have tomorrow night off so I'll be finishing/reformatting then.
By the looks of it, I'll be spending a lot of my feats later on getting more magus Arcanas,
Cale Vatay
I'll be almost done as soon as I roll Soba's HP
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Cale Vatay
Merry Christmas everybody, :)
Might I have an eta on my entrance?
Cale Vatay
Near as I can tell I just need to alphabetize it then, I'll get that done on the trip down to my folk's house for Christmas :)
Edit: wait you apparently sort offence/defense/special like a monster stat block, ok I'll get on that at the time mentioned.
Edit2: and somehow I forgot traits....
GM Rednal
Technically, it's Hero Lab doing the sorting - but I find it immensely convenient to have all special abilities in alphabetical order (yes, like monsters have), rather than being thrown together in a jumbled mess that takes much longer to search when I need to reference something. ^^ Having everyone's profiles be formatted in an identical manner makes it much easier to know where to look for any given piece of information.
Cale Vatay
Given I don't have hero lab and do this on my phone
technically you're wanting me to do the sorting :P
Tanwen Anwyl
Happy Holidays all, I hope to have a post up later, sorry for taking awhile (i.e. not posting in 4 days)
Cale Vatay
Is this good? It's not a perfect copy but it's difficult without a computer
Cale Vatay
Not for a while at least
I'd say January at the earliest
I kinda want to play earlier than that :P
Cale Vatay
Sweet :)
I figured I'd just brag in being all boisterous and loud drawing attention to myself but if you have a planned intro I'm all for it :D
Marco Theseus Cain
Have you ever had elf? Much too stringy, takes forever to chew and them they get stuck in your teath.
Shalluk
Eh, we can work with that. Every Cale needs a Richard, after all, and between Shalluk's tall, robbed figure with demonic powers and your burn 'em all approach we just about make one.
Gods help the baby animals.
Cale Vatay
I'm glad the reference was recognized, though I will say that this Cale is vastly different in both backstory and personality.
Cale Vatay
you think you know me
the last game this alias was used in Cale was not recognized
Shalluk
Hardly a surprise. I am very, very old some days. But essentially there ring entrance song repeated, "You think you know me?" quite a lot. You can here it here if you like. It loops about 40 or so seconds in, as wrestling music tends to do.
Cale Vatay
Aah, it's not a "you're old" thing, so much as a "I don't watch sports, I play them or I'm not interested" thing.
Tanwen Anwyl
Considering the sheer ammount of fire in the area we are in, would it be alright if Tanwen healed up in the flames a bit. Right now it should only take her 4 rounds in fire to heal.
Mainly asking since its basically free healing.
Cale Vatay
Ok, if soba survives this, his next feat will be toughness
Maybe have some silken ceremonial armor made for him (yay ACP 0)
I really hope he survives this, I suck at naming things,
Cale Vatay
Oh yeah, I was goin to wait for my party members, but I don't really have to do that
But yeah, as to why the non tank went first,
He's got 6 int, and his only attacks are melee,
You could say that this is the kind of actions that one would later say "it seemed like a good idea at the time" but really what else would soba do? (If you have any ideas I would actually like to hear some of them)
