She moves around to get a little cover herself and fires back.

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
damage: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) + 1 = 6

The blast wasn't as accurate as it could have been - it hit the side of the stall, although without that, you'd quite probably have hit them. Without hesitating, the archer sent another arrow back your way-

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 10 - 4 = 12

-which came nowhere close to hitting you.

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 10 - 4 - 2 = 7

His companion, located further away, was even less accurate this time (a normal result, really), and the two arrows simple stuck fast in the wood you were hiding behind.

If you'd like, you can roll several rounds of attacks now - or simply keep going round-by-round and see what happens. ^^ Either works.

She continues firing. Though the accuracy leaves something to be desired.

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
damage: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) + 1 = 6

Your first two shots went wide as the arrows continued to rain down from afar-

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 10 - 4 = 15
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 10 - 4 - 2 = 11
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 10 - 4 = 7
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 10 - 4 - 2 = 7

-to no particular effect, as it happened. Your third blast hit, but wasn't quite enough to drop the archer, and-

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 10 - 4 = 17
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 - 4 - 2 = 19 Miss Chance, 81+ is Good: 1d100 ⇒ 55 for Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3

-the one from further away actually managed to strike you before you took down the closer elf. That just left the one... quite some distance away, and you could see him retreating even further backwards, out of the darkness, once his fellow fell.

He's currently 140 feet away.

At this point she has the advantage of range. She keeps firing, only moving to follow if he leaves his position and flees.

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
damage: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 1, 5) + 1 = 12
touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Your first blow missed-

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 10 - 4 = 14

-while your second hit for a critical blow-

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 10 - 4 = 13

-and your third finally managed to take him out with a well-aimed blow right to his torso. The dark sphere around you flickered and died a moment later. Looking up, you could see the crowd harassing the figure up on the roof area was much smaller now - drawing part of the group away had apparently given them the opening they needed to start pushing back, although four or so of them were left. They'd lasted this long, though, so they probably weren't in immediate danger - you could simply watch and see what happened, of course, or you could move over to help (possibly taking a few moments to prepare - it wasn't likely to hurt you any, at least).

As her healing spell is still active, she moves around to where she can get a covered point to target the bandits. When she finds a good point, she'll take fire to support the mysterious figure, presumably Jenka.

Senka. o wo/ With an "S". *...Totally messed up in the earlier spelling somehow, and takes full responsibility for that*

Three of your shots were good - the last, alas, was a little less accurate. Such was the way things went, especially when attacking from a distance. You were, however, excellently distracting - pincer movements were nasty against a group of any size, and your added strength was enough to push things decisively in your favor.

The girl who'd been the focus of the attacks continued to stand on the roof for a moment, looking down at the unconscious, dying, and dead bandits who littered the ground.

"Well, that was fun, wasn't it?" she asked cheerfully. "Thanks for the help, by the way. I'm Senka. And..." she looked up at the smoke-blotted sky, and the many fires that still raged. "...yeesh, they really didn't hold back, did they?" she hopped down from her perch, landing with her arms outstretched and her legs bent. "I don't suppose you've seen the mayor anywhere? He's about so tall, wears a funny blue hat?"

"Verthandi Fargazer. And thank you for the cover. I haven't seen any blue hats so far."

Do any of the fires look larger than people can control? Or are people starting to get a handle on the situation?

"Bugger." Senka said. She frowned as she looked around, clearly unsure how to find someone with such low visibility.

The fires themselves were burning in many places - given time, people could probably get them under control, and the fact that the bandits seemed to have been taken care of meant new ones weren't going to be spreading. They could definitely use help, though - with whatever means you might choose to use.

"I do need to speak to you further at some point, but I'm going to help with these fires first. Can you come with me? I'm going to need to concentrate and it would help if I had somebody to prevent anything from distracting me."

Whether Senka helps or not, she's moving to the part of town where the fires are the worst. She's then going to spend her last mythic point to call the rain.

Weather sphere, applying Greater Size. This will cover an area a quarter mile across with light rain. That should help control the fires and also give water for people to use to fight it. It's not clear, but if the effect moves with the caster she'll hold concentration for as long as she can and walk from one end of the town to the other.

concentration: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
concentration: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Obviously she's not distractable.

After this she'll ask them to gather the injured together, so that she can channel energy to heal them.
That's 2d6 to 756 people, more if they squeeze.

Are you sure that's what you want to do? At your current level, with Wild Arcana, you can only make precipitation up to Severity Level 3 - which isn't actually strong enough to fight fires. ...You could, however, create a Strong Wind that would automatically extinguish them.

If that's the way you rule it.

I didn't go that way because the wiki only says that strong winds extinguish fires like candles and torches. I know that strong winds spread large fires like nobody's business. Wildfires are a big problem here in California. Where even light rain will generally keep a fire from growing.

I could also do moderate rain in a medium burst. That would only get a building at a time, though.

Well, it's less "the way I rule it" and more "how the powers were written". Strong winds work on any unprotected flames... which I figure these are. XD Bit larger than the examples, but the key point is that they aren't protected. Heavier rain IS an option, though, if you'd rather use that... which mostly just gives you the same fire-extinguishing benefits of wind. Magic is weird sometimes. XD

Then I'll go with wind.

The air stirred as you called on the powers you'd obtained. It went slowly, at first - then faster and faster, moving oxygen so quickly that the fires in range didn't have what they needed to burn. It also had some interesting effects on the immense amount of smoke in the air, a fair bit of which was spread across the countryside thanks to the outward force. The good news? You were able to focus on maintaining the wind without too much difficulty, and step by step, you managed to get the fires put out. On the way, you heard that the survivors were gathering in an area near the church, and Senka peeled off to head that way as soon as she heard. If there was anything you wanted to do before heading that way yourself (once the job was done), you had the time.

She will proceed to the church, helping stragglers she finds on the way.

With the fires going out, most people seemed like they were able to move - and what definitely looked like most of the survivors were gathered in the center, most still looking somewhat shocked by all that had happened. Senka was chatting cheerfully with a man matching her earlier description, and waved you over as soon as she saw you, introducing you as the one who'd helped drive off the bandits in the main square - and you could hear a few people in the crowd speaking up, mentioning how you'd helped them.

"Well now... it seems we have quite a lot to thank you for." the Mayor noted. "If you don't mind me asking, though... why did you help us?"

She will come and join them, obviously tired after all of this exertion. "Good neighbors help each other. I have people that I care about, just like you. If something threatened them, I'd hope for someone to help them out. It's as simple as that."

The mayor nodded thoughtfully. "True, true. Perhaps there's some light in this world after all..."

"Hey." Senka sounded more than slightly put out, and the mayor grinned. Just the reaction he'd been hoping for, apparently.

"Relax, girl. Anyway! Come on, everyone, let's find some beds that are still safe and see about cleaning up this mess!" He clapped his hands, and a few people in the crowd twitched, but they slowly started to disperse.

Is there anything else you'd like to do here, or do you think you're about ready to wrap it up?

"I would not turn down a bed. Or even a flat place to lie at this point." she chuckles at that.

I think we can move on to the morning.

Beds were in shorter supply than anyone would have liked, though a father insisted on giving his up, sleeping on the floor near his wife and children instead. Come morning, however, there were hundreds of things to do, and people needed direction - but more importantly, it was an opportunity to get further involved and start using some of your knowledge of disaster relief to get people organized.

You can make up to three Diplomacy and/or Intimidate checks here to get people organized and working efficiently. As always, roleplaying is considered for bulk rolls. XD

In the morning, after consulting with a few of the others, she climbs to the tops of one of the stalls and calls out in a loud voice, "I'm looking for a strong man who isn't afraid to get sweaty!" When she has everybody's attention, she'll motion the guys who respond closer. "Okay guys, we need teams to move supplies, fill sand bags, and clear rubble. I know that it's hard work, but you know that the ladies like seeing a man who really knows how to put his back into it. This is a chance to show off just how much you can do. Anton is going to keep track of the work crews. Go with him and he'll keep you busy."

After the laborers begin to move away, she'll call out, "I'm looking for a man who's good with his hands! Somebody who has some skills." As people come in, she clarifies. "We need people to check out the buildings. Mark the ones that aren't safe and brace the ones that can be saved. Everybody knows the ladies like a practical man. Gibson will be organizing you. "

At this point a voice calls out from the crowd, "What about the women?" Before Verthandi can answer, there's a loud whack on the side of one of the soup pots. The chef raises her spoon and calls out, "Who do you think fed you this morning. We don't need somebody to tell us what to do, Fergus!"

"Well said!" Verthandi calls back. The last call is somber and not as loud as her other calls. "I'm looking for people who have a heart. We need to find the injured and the dead and make sure they are taken care of. This isn't as glorious a job as the others. It's going to hurt to see what's happened to your neighbors. But it's a task that must be done. Thom will head up this group."

Using luck with each of these rolls

Your first efforts at getting people organized didn't turn out quite as well as you might have hoped - maybe it was the lingering effects from the day before. Your later efforts ended up working out much better, and finally got people into gear. Over the course of the day, a couple of bags were dropped off near you, rewards from those you'd helped - a few hundred from the family of the boy you'd saved, some more from helping around town and inspiring people enough, and a couple of potions from the church. Senka, too, was looking much more free now that the town was starting to return to some semblance of normality. It would take time, but... everything did, when you thought about it, and you had a mission of your own to complete.

All told, you managed to earn 800 GP and 4 Potions of Cure Moderate Wounds.

As the day was coming to a close, she warped up to a rooftop to sit near Senka and watch how the sky turned red as day became night. "While Day and Night each have their charms, the brief moments of transition are amazing."

"That's true enough." the girl answered thoughtfully. She held up her hands a moment later - a globe of soft white light appeared above one palm, and a globe of inky darkness above the other. "Of course, I usually have to do one or the other. Funny thing about them, really - they're such opposites, and you can't use them very well together as a person, but nature makes it look easy - and for the prettiest times of the day, too. I'm a little jealous."

"Opposites isn't accurate. Aspects is closer. Daytime, Twilight, and Nighttime are all aspects of one God. One of the Gods that is fighting Anax in order to return to helping humanity. I'm searching for people who can represent these deities and help spread the word about them."

She pauses to see what her reaction is.

Senka blinked a few times. Then she pointed with one finger, and a sphere of darkness some five feet across appeared in the air in front of her. She gestures with the other hand, and it vanished - a second gesture with the same hand summoned a sphere of light. "It's hard for something to gain both light and dark at the same time." she explained. She tapped her chin a moment later, though. "That said... the Church has always been a little uptight, like it wants all the authority but doesn't actually want to make the world better. I heard about that kid you helped, and your intervention by the church... and you did get people motivated to work... I'm definitely interested in what an active power has to say, so count me in." she smiled and held out her hand. "So, how can I help?"

She takes the hand. "Well, we start with going back to Caer Sirona. I've been away for a while and I'm worried. Along the way, I'll tell you what I know about the gods."

"There is another person with affinity for Daytime. He's more connected to Twilight, the mixture. I think that you two could learn from each other. I think that you both will be good advocates for the gods."

"Don't think I'm familiar with that place... but I guess I can come with you and check it out, at least." Senka answered. "Be fun to meet this Twilight boy of yours, too - and goodness knows people could use a little more light in their lives right now..."

You've completed your mission! If you're done in town, you can go ahead and return to Caer Sirona - feel free to simply post your arrival and anything you might want to do once you get there. In addition, the construction on the buildings will have finished, so go ahead and pick the next two to get started on.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 + 1d6 ⇒ (17) + 11 + (2) = 30

She also wants to talk with the priest of Anax, and simply explain the experience she's had and what she's been told. She's not trying to convert him, but to explain why she feels the way she does. To humanize our side.

As they return, she'll introduce Jevan and Senka. She'll ask Jevan how he's been fitting in, and if there's anything he needs. She'll check in with Allete and she how she's been doing. She'll also ask what Allete sees from above.

From there, she wants to visit the workmen. She'll ask them to walk her through the new construction. She'll address them as she lays out her vision for the next stage. She's not just looking at the leader, but talking with the workmen.

"What good are two walls? Exactly, we need to add the southern wall and finish our defenses. This stone will protect us from our enemies. This stone will keep us safe. You will keep us safe."

"But what use are strong walls if there is no heart within? We are here to honor the gods. A chapel will bring us together as they have come together. I see a building with nine doors. Across from each is an altar to that god, in all of their aspects. For services to honor each god, we come in and sit facing that altar. When we honor all of the gods, then we face Supremacy. I think that this can be a beautiful expression."

That night, she will walk among the people, talking with them, listening to their concerns and needs.

Jevan was... well, he was present, at least, although he still looked a little worried about fitting in. He did, however, seem to have made friends with some of the... sneakier... people who'd fought the undead with you. Given his potential for importance, they definitely looked like they were trying to get on his good side. The Inquisitors, on the other hand, he'd been avoiding like the plague.

Allete was far more relaxed - but then, she was more sociable to begin with, and clearly more used to dealing with crowds. As for the view from the sky... well, she could see the land for a long ways around if she flew up high, but she'd been more involved with helping to lift supplies up and get things built. Everyone had their own talents, and she was definitely the sort to put hers to use. Things were going well for now, but even as you thought about their concerns, the Mark on your hand pulsed slightly.

<"Verthandi. The people need direction, still, and it's time to choose who will lead the two churches. Question them more if you'd like, but you should decide soon.">

She will ask Jevan and Senka to meet with her separately.

"What do you think of (the other candidate)? How are you getting along?"

"I'm going to have to decide soon who will head up the church of Daytime. It's a hard decision, as each of you has talents that the other does not. What do you think about this? Are you willing to take on this responsibility? How would you go about spreading the word about Daytime? What about the aspects that you are not as close to?"

She will also ask Allete in. "Are you ready to speak for the World?"

Jevan's Response:

"Well, I haven't had a chance to talk to her too much... she's actually a little scary in how good with people she is, and she's been a lot nicer than I expected for someone I guess is my rival. It's making me want to try harder too, though, and show that even someone like me can make a difference. As for spreading the words, I think I'd go for a split approach, and have people focus on specific Aspects that are more relevant to their lives. We're all kind of feeling our way forward right now, but I definitely think they're a deity that's easier to worship in parts. It shouldn't be too hard to find someone who can help with the parts I'm not as close to. Mix things together too much and you get messes like me."

Senka's Response:

"He's kind of a nervous wreck, isn't he? I don't think he's used to people being nice to him, so I've been trying to reassure him and make friends. I think he'll do all right at anything he puts his mind to once he gets a little more confidence. I can definitely handle spreading a church. Day's teachings are pretty interesting, actually, and I think the part about having all things in their proper time - a time to work, a time to rest, and so on - will resonate with people who are looking for some structure in their lives. I'd probably end up pushing that a lot, and promote all three parts equally so that even people who are drawn to one don't forget about the others."

Allete's Response:

"I have to admit, I wasn't really sure what I was going to find here... but nobody fools this many different types of people on a subject as grand as this one. If you think I'm the best choice for the job, then... yes."

As she's talking with Jevan, she has an idea. "I don't see you as a mess. In fact I just had an idea that makes sense. Daytime is about time as much as light. Making sure that everything has it's moment. You represent the balance between light and dark, night and day, different cultures. I'm going to ask you to look beyond Daytime and serve all of the gods and all of their aspects.

We're building a church with nine doors. It will handle all of the gods and their representatives. If we can't manage this well, it will be chaos and lead to conflict when we all need to stand together. I think that you can be the man to organize this.

While it's a lot of responsibility, it's also a position of power. I know that you've seen people use their power unfairly, so I'm confident that you'll work to balance everybody's need.

It will take time to get built, and time to recruit all of the representatives, so you'll have some time to grow into your responsibility. I know that you don't always feel confident in yourself, but I think this will help you understand your true potential."

If he accepts, then I will put him in position and then nominate Senka for Daytime.

And have you made a decision for World, or was there more you wanted to discuss for that? Incidentally, NPCs are generally going to accept whatever position you decide to give them. XD You are, after all, the one with the authority over that.

For world, I select Allete. While it would be funny for Santos to suddenly wake up with this, I prefer going with the candidate that wanted the position.

Heh. XD Yeah, I wrote Santos as the kind of grumpy old man who's going to yell at you to get off his lawn, but really does know a lot about what he's doing.

After your decisions were made, people quickly started getting to work. Jevan looked somewhat nervous about taking responsibility for the construction of such an important facility, but perhaps as a direct result of that, he was also quite willing to listen to more-experienced people and mostly let them do their jobs. Senka and Allete took to their new jobs with gusto, although they weren't trying too hard at proselytizing just yet - for one thing, there were only so many people there to begin with, and they still needed to learn the doctrines they were supposed to uphold. That may have been helped along a bit by the sudden access to divine magic. The world's returning gods didn't have a lot of power to spare for mortals, but empowering their new high priests seemed to be within the limits of what could be done.

You've gained 12 Worship Points that you may assign to any faith, following the usual rules for doing so. In addition, you've reached Level 5! Let's get that settled and approved, and then we can proceed to the next part.

Oh, I intend to convert Santos eventually.

I checked the post on Worship points, but I didn't see any specific rules on assigning them. Did I miss something?

working on updating the sheet

Ah, Stalwart. XD Very useful, that, especially in solo games. Looks good! ...Ah, and I should probably note that Gain works a little differently than the others with their church, since they're directly supporting you as your patron. Other churches have various interesting effects, though, like immunities to certain conditions, new vision types, circumstance bonuses in set areas, rerolls... lots of little things, usually based on the personality in question. You're good to update your alias. ^^

Over the next week or so, things started to get settled down. Plans were still being drawn up for the new church, although the dwarves at Caer Sirona were full of ideas for how to build such an unusual structure properly. Meanwhile, the faith of Gain was spreading across the land, with its attractive philosophy of success in many different categories. Hard to hate a deity who promoted success, really - that may have been why it had gone from being established to genuinely prosperous, much to the dismay of the Church of Anax. The other churches, alas, were still all but unknown - though World and Day had at least gotten started laying the groundwork for the future.

None of that really explained the sight you saw after you headed back to bed, however. Instead of the rest you'd been expecting, the sight that greeted you was something that could only be described as a mountain - if there had ever been a mountain whose peak stretched higher than you could see, and so far down you couldn't even see land below it. The sky was a uniform blue color, and the side of the mountain was green with grass and the occasional flower, broken only by the stone columns around you and a rocky path leading around the mountain and out of sight. (Somehow, it didn't look very far despite the sheer size of the place - one more piece of evidence that this wasn't a normal place.)

Standing nearby was an odd figure - attractive enough, but with some body parts that seemed completely out-of-place. Noting your arrival, however, the figure curtsied to you. "Welcome to Mount Suhr, Verthandi - the meeting ground of the gods. My name is Kariel, and Gain has tasked me with being your guide today. Do you have any questions before the meeting begins? Before you ask, I must say that I cannot tell you what it is about - that is for them to explain, and I have been ordered not to bias your opinion of its subject."

And next level I get evasion

She steps forward, looking all around at the incredible sight. She opens her mouth, trying to figure what to ask first. Then she pauses, "I could spend hours asking and barely scratch the surface. We should probably go directly and listen to what the Gods need of me."

"As you wish." Kariel said, inclining her head. "This way, please." She led you along the simple stone path, and as you moved, you got the sense that each step was taking you much further than you were used to moving. A few paces was enough to bring you to the bend, and a few more brought you well up the mountain and into a large stone meeting hall.

Here, for the first time, you laid eyes upon the gods. Each was present here in all three of their aspects, gathered into clusters - all except for the large central throne, empty to your sight and yet possessed of some presence much greater than the others. If the other gods were candles in their force, the empty place was a sun. Information trickled into your mind as you looked across the gathered group, identifying each of them and briefly highlighting their general personalities and responsibilities.

The first one to speak wasn't your patron, though - it was Judicial, the Third Aspect of Rule, who seemed to be looking at you despite the blindfold over her eyes. "Thank you for joining us, Verthandi." Judicial said calmly. "Our fight with Anax continues - as part of that, however, we've been checking up on the imprisoned Titans to ensure that none of them have the opportunity to join free and tilt the battle in Anax's favor. What we did not expect was to hear from Physis."

"Aside from Supremacy..." Judicial nodded towards the empty seat. "We are not all-powerful. Most particularly, our domains do not extend to affect the Titans. Knowledge there does not inherently know their motivations, Future cannot see what they are planning to do... they are our creators, after all, and gave us only a very limited ability to affect them. That is why we must focus so much of our efforts directly on Anax, with little to spare for the world - there would be no hope at all of victory otherwise."

"Physis is the Titan of Creation - it was she who molded the essence of your world, and created much of what is on it. The other Titans, by and large, made much smaller creations or changed what was already there. When we visited her, she asked that she be set free in order to help protect her creation. She refused to fight Anax - they are brother and sister - but she did show an interest in mortals and claimed that she regretted the way things had turned out for you. She also asked for a chance to prove her sincerity."

"We did not grant her request at that point, but we did gather to discuss the matter in more detail. However, before we could come to an agreement, Supremacy delivered a message to us." she indicated a table in the middle of the room. On it was a single sheet of parchment with four words - 'Let Your Champion Decide'. "Please note the singular tense. It was clear to us that you were the only person it could possibly be referring to, which is why we've called you here today. Essentially, we wish for you to decide whether or not the Titan of Creation will be given the opportunity she has requested, or whether she is to be kept away from the world."

Here, Knowledge finally spoke up.

"Supremacy's orders to us are rare, but absolute." the more-familiar goddess explained. "We no longer have an opinion on what should happen, and will not attempt to bias you either way. Personally, however, I do recommend visiting her in prison prior to making your choice - if nothing else, we believe she does deserve the opportunity to make her case to you in person."

Judicial spoke again as Knowledge finished. "We will also answer any questions about this subject that you ask of us. Facts only - as Knowledge said, we have set aside our personal opinions on the topic."

Bard 5 // Incanter 5 // Mageknight 3 / Eliciter 2 | AC: 22 / T: 18 / FF: 19 / DR: N/A, SR: 15, Resist: N/A, Immune: N/A | Fort: +5*, Ref: +9*, Will: +7* | M. Atk: +6, R. Atk: +6, M. Touch: +6, R. She pauses, and thinks about the situation for a moment before listing off her questions. "What do you know of Physis' relationship with Anax? Were there any conflicts or cooperations? How did Physis relate to the Gods responsible for maintaining his creation? Is there any history of deals, promises, bargains or negotiations involving Physis? Tell me of Physis' actions during the war between the Gods and Titans. How was Physis subdued and captured?"

Knowledge was the one to respond this time - not so surprising, really, given her particular sphere of influence. "We don't know what they were like before they were created." your patron explained calmly. "However, from what we saw, the titans were never a unified group to begin with. Indeed, it was their inability to cooperate and make a stable world that ultimately lead to creating us to do it for them. Physis was always somewhat apart from the other Titans - her focus on creation meant she was usually busy creating the things the others fought over. So far as we can tell, the two never truly cooperated or allied with each other, but nor did they fight."

"We have no record of any past agreements - if there were any, the titans kept them to themselves. She never actually fought in the previous war - our understanding is that she simply didn't want to, and she willingly accepted her imprisonment. She helped to create us - indeed, in a way, you could think of her as our mother - and she could certainly have created beings to fight us if she so desired. Even in the worst of the fighting, however, she seemed reluctant to destroy anything she had created - including us. Whether or not she still feels the same is more than we can say."

She will nod at this. "I am as ready as I can be. I am ready to listen to her case."

Knowledge nodded slightly - and the avatars of the gods vanished, leaving the area feeling much emptier than before. Turning around, you saw Kariel standing near the exit, bowing slightly. "This way, please. You will be sent to the prison in spirit - it is not a place that could support your body, although you will feel very much the same. I should warn you that while the entrance area is safe enough, there are some defenses you will need to work your way through in order to reach Physis. In the past, their holinesses were very insistent that nobody be allowed to simply reach the end of any of the Titans' prisons and free them, even if one of them should happen to betray the others - as such, the defenses cannot be taken entirely down, but they should not be unduly burdensome since your Mark gives you authorization from the entire pantheon and will prevent the most dangerous defenses from activating. We are in no particular rush - please feel free to make any preparations you desire, and I will activate the gate when you are ready."

She will focus for a minute, expanding her senses to be ready for the challenges that come at her. While the challenges designed to stop titans would be avoided, she figures that the lesser defenses will be challenging to a mortal like her.

Activating Foresight, See Hazard, and Spell Ward. All will last five hours. If time even means anything in the prison.

Aaaaand new map.

After verifying that you were ready, Kariel gestured you through the portal that had appeared. The first thing you saw in front of you was a wall, with a hallway stretching to either side. A quick check showed that it was nothing more than a simple loop forcing people to go around instead of straight forward. Once they joined up at the intersection going forward, you saw eight doors lining the sides of the hall, and a large chamber filled with water up ahead.
