Vanessa got bonus points for making me laugh, Owl got bonus points for helping out with the recruitment... but none of you actually made my top three. I didn't even expect to get chosen, in the end :p

There was just a lot of good competition. One of my biggest criteria, though, you all met. That what you did as a level 1 character was something level one characters could do. Single-handedly overtaking a slave ship? Exploding an entire tavern because you slept in it? Waking up entombed in ice in the 'pacific ocean'? All very, very epic... but a slave ship is able to handle revolts of more than one man. I don't want to sleep in a tavern with a tavern exploder... you get the idea. :P

It happens. It happens a lot in my experience. I think this is the first time a GM has ever said something was going on before they vanished in my case, though... so I'll still hold out hope. :)

Tis the season to be busy.

My job picks up when school is out. I'm going to be a bit more busy for a while. This won't really affect whether or not I -do- post in threads, just the speed at which I do. Some days, I won't be able to really get posts in at work, other days it won't be very bad. Today is likely to be one of those days where I'll either post around noon, or not at all until I'm home.

I should still be highly responsive, just not nearly as responsive as you may be used to. :)

I'm waiting in line for the banquet with time to kill.

Firstly, the GM has to move the game to inactive. Second, how does everyone feel about just continuing on?

There's a couple options concerning this. One, we search for a replacement GM. This is a bit of a crap shoot since Savage Tide is a bit dated and not easily accessible to everyone. Another option is that I step behind the screen. I've been itching to run a gestalt campaign for a long time. Not just a short one start.

As for finding a DM... yeah, it'll be hard. Gestalt -and- an unusual AP.

As for you taking over, that's up to you. I was greatly enjoying our interplay, personally... so it'd be somewhat a loss on my end. But still a gain for having a campaign still.

Also, another way for it to move to inactive is for several months to pass without any posts in the gameplay thread.

OK, actually I came back on Monday afternoon, but it took me about 36 hours to recover from the con. XD

The feeling is mutual. I could continue to RP as Vanessa, but I understand it wouldn't be quite the same.

I'm poking around on my end with friends to see if anyone would be interested in picking this group up. Ideally, I'd like to keep things as is with minimal changes and/or adjustments. I am pretty sure that none of them have the materials for Savage Tide, so there would likely be some adjustment to a different campaign. Again, this is entirely speculation and nothing confirmed. However, some suggestions or ideas on what kind of campaign we would want to play would help.

Honestly, the information I have for savage tide is exceedingly small. So... I'm just playing to play the character. :) I simply created someone within the world and went with it. As far as I (and by an extent, my character) am concerned, existing, and going with the flow (or against it) is all I'm worried about. I'll let you know if that changes.

Easy to please. :)

That's basically been my stance as well having never carried a subscription to Dungeon or Dragon magazine. The player's guide offered some insight but I honestly didn't know what to expect. Still sort of don't.

At this point, I think it might be best to make a separate campaign here on these boards and move this discussion over to there. I wouldn't want to be disrespectful to Red for cluttering up his/her thread. If you're interested in carrying over, shoot me a PM. I'll send you a link. ^_^

I'm back! Man, that was a tiring journey.

So it looks like this game is over anyway based on the fact that none of us really have enough experience to run the AP ourselves.

I really enjoyed the short interactions we had so will be on the lookout for any recruitment thread you guys set up :)
