Welcome!

I realize I'm not giving you much time to update characters and such. If your profile isn't complete when we start, I understand. I will request that you get it up to date by Tuesday at the latest.

I do like having headers. I'm not overly picky as long as you have HP, AC, CMB/CMD, Saves, and Perception modifiers. If you need help with formatting it, I have a link in my profile.

If there are any special nuances with your character I should be aware of, be it strange combinations or an obscure ability/trait, please share. It's better for us to get any confusion handled ahead of time vs in the middle of the game.

Finally, please go here and fill out the questionnaire.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

The Exchange

Internal Alchemist 8 HP67/67 Fast Healing 4/4 | AC 20, T 12, FF 20 Uncanny Dodge| Fort +11, Ref +10, Will +5 | Init +2 | Perc +12, 60' Darkvision, Bombs (13/13) Fly (8/8) Effects: Ant Haul

Luurg just hit level 3, I haven't made any extra purchases but what I do may just be something based on the mission briefing. He has had the WeB4 Goblins Chronicle applied, and speaks with broken common.

Being an alchemist he applies his various concoctions through consuming fruit so I hope you don't mind the cosmetic variation.

Also, he's going down the diehard feat tree and has fast heal 5 once per day at present.

Grand Lodge

Skills:
Acrobatics +9, Climb +8, Perception +8, Kno(Nature) +4, Profession (Trapper) +4, Survival +4
Male Halfling PFS#186188-2 (Retired: Rebuilt for 2e) Barbarian (Unchained) 3
Stats:
│HP: 32/32 (38 Rage) │ AC 18 (16 Rage)│ T13│ FF16│ F5│R2│W0│Init 2│Perception +8│CMB +4│CMD16│

I should have everything you need in my header. Hangust doesn't have an particularly odd traits or abilities, pretty standard character so far.

The Exchange

Mine should also be set, only thing that might be confusing is that

atk: melee/ranged/CMB and
ac: regular/touch/flatfooted/CMD

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

Luurg, the eating fruit bit just flavor? Sounds intereting.

Dismoon, thanks for clarifying. The CMB and CMD admittedly threw me off. Makes sense.

Please refer to the 'Maps and Handouts' link at the top of the page and select your preferred location in the "standard marching order" on slide 1.

I'm on the road today and stuck on my phone but when I hit my hotel tonight I'll figure out who I'm bringing and get the sheet sorted.

Also on phone atm, can post no problem but slides a tricky on mobile. Hangust is good with position 1 or 2 in the marching order.

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

Understood dien and Hangust. Thanks for the heads up.

The Exchange

Internal Alchemist 8 HP67/67 Fast Healing 4/4 | AC 20, T 12, FF 20 Uncanny Dodge| Fort +11, Ref +10, Will +5 | Init +2 | Perc +12, 60' Darkvision, Bombs (13/13) Fly (8/8) Effects: Ant Haul

Luurg has a lot of flavor, he's probably my most enjoyable character to play. Not 100% effective all the time but fun none the less.

Liberty's Edge

CN Male Half-Orc | Fighter (Unbreakable) 7 | HP 69/69 | AC 27 (30) T 14 FF 24 (27) | F +12 R +8 W +5 (+2 vs mind-affecting, +2 vs. hex/fey/hag) | CMD 24 (28 vs. Trip & Grapple) | Init +6 | Perc +1 SM -1 | | Armored Sacrifice (1/1): Armor Hardness 14, HP 65 | Active Conditions: Combat Reflexes, Barkskin (70 min), haste (AC 31/15/27), STR 1 damage (-0), Cha -1

Pig is a straight forward Fighter with Diehard. He has the Emerald Spire 1st floor boon for intimidate vs. goblins.

The Exchange

Internal Alchemist 8 HP67/67 Fast Healing 4/4 | AC 20, T 12, FF 20 Uncanny Dodge| Fort +11, Ref +10, Will +5 | Init +2 | Perc +12, 60' Darkvision, Bombs (13/13) Fly (8/8) Effects: Ant Haul

Luurg looks around at all the other orcs and smiles and waves.

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

On phone still, but it looks like we have a bunch of 3s and a level 1, and we're kind of light on people who can activate a CLW wand? (Just alchemist I think?) Tentatively leaning towards my ranger but I believe she's level 4.

The Exchange

Internal Alchemist 8 HP67/67 Fast Healing 4/4 | AC 20, T 12, FF 20 Uncanny Dodge| Fort +11, Ref +10, Will +5 | Init +2 | Perc +12, 60' Darkvision, Bombs (13/13) Fly (8/8) Effects: Ant Haul

Maybe Dismoon has a higher level character available? 3-5?

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

Pig > lvl 2
Luurg > lvl 3
Hangust > lvl 3
Dismoon > lvl 1
dien > possibly lvl 4

We just play up in that case, with the 4 -player adjustment. If the ranger's a lower level, it should put us into tier 1-2.

The Exchange

Nope sorry, I have GM credit equivalent to a 2nd level but haven't made it yet. This one is 2/3, she could do infernal healing with arcane training if we come across scrolls/wands.

The Exchange

Actually I have 2 unspent PP and forget what I was saving it for. I'll just buy an infernal healing wand.

The Exchange

Internal Alchemist 8 HP67/67 Fast Healing 4/4 | AC 20, T 12, FF 20 Uncanny Dodge| Fort +11, Ref +10, Will +5 | Init +2 | Perc +12, 60' Darkvision, Bombs (13/13) Fly (8/8) Effects: Ant Haul

Luurg can use everyone's applewood. I'm assuming most people level 2 or higher carry a healing wand.

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

Okay, sorry for the delay, got to hotel room after a long day. The ranger is indeed 4, or it's a level 3 alchemist or summoner, nothing lower than that short of starting a new char. Dismoon, I don't want to make you play up if you aren't comfortable with that; I'll bring the ranger if you are okay with it, but if you're worried with your level 1 I'll bring the summoner. GOing to go dot now.

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

Things about Zephyr: she's a freebooter ranger, so I act a little bit like a bard in terms of party buffing. (I'll remind people of the specifics when they apply.) She's a pretty good scout. Due to her wind-kissed racial ability, she gains a +2 AC bonus vs non-magical ranged attacks (noted in her stat line).

Liberty's Edge

CN Male Half-Orc | Fighter (Unbreakable) 7 | HP 69/69 | AC 27 (30) T 14 FF 24 (27) | F +12 R +8 W +5 (+2 vs mind-affecting, +2 vs. hex/fey/hag) | CMD 24 (28 vs. Trip & Grapple) | Init +6 | Perc +1 SM -1 | | Armored Sacrifice (1/1): Armor Hardness 14, HP 65 | Active Conditions: Combat Reflexes, Barkskin (70 min), haste (AC 31/15/27), STR 1 damage (-0), Cha -1

Pig can take the bigger-than-average hit, but I don't know how the ACs jump in upper tier (or save DCs/skill DCs).

EDIT: Oh, and I do have the expected CLW, since he'll fall apart if not healed. Luurg can use it? Or someone less potentially busy?

The Exchange

Internal Alchemist 8 HP67/67 Fast Healing 4/4 | AC 20, T 12, FF 20 Uncanny Dodge| Fort +11, Ref +10, Will +5 | Init +2 | Perc +12, 60' Darkvision, Bombs (13/13) Fly (8/8) Effects: Ant Haul

Ya you've got quite the pile of HP for level 2, makes me jealous. Luurg is kinda built as somewhat a barbarian version in an alchemist's body so his hit die sucks.

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

My summoner (First ever PFS character) has something like 78 hp at level 9. He is a health pool for the eidolon with a big ole greataxe.

Being half-orc I went down the feat chain to grab 'universal ferocity' for him. Been at -15 HP a few times with the GM asking why won't I just die! :-P

Liberty's Edge

CN Male Half-Orc | Fighter (Unbreakable) 7 | HP 69/69 | AC 27 (30) T 14 FF 24 (27) | F +12 R +8 W +5 (+2 vs mind-affecting, +2 vs. hex/fey/hag) | CMD 24 (28 vs. Trip & Grapple) | Init +6 | Perc +1 SM -1 | | Armored Sacrifice (1/1): Armor Hardness 14, HP 65 | Active Conditions: Combat Reflexes, Barkskin (70 min), haste (AC 31/15/27), STR 1 damage (-0), Cha -1

I'm trying to epitomize the Unbreakable aspect. The boss at the end of ES1 crit Pig; the GM was like, "he looks at his morningstar, is sure there's brain on it, looks at Pig, looks back at his morningstar and wonders why he's not dead."

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

nice

Heh it sounds like Pig and Luurg have quite a few things in common, except I have fast healing, die hard, endurance, and survival, and soon lingering spirit for an extra boost to 'not dead yet!'.

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

Chase Scene Basics:

For each square, it's a move action to move through the square and a standard to deal with the Obstacle (if there is one).

Alternatively, you can use your standard to cast a spell or perform an attack of some kind.

In order to do a melee attack, you must be in the same square as the opponent. (This includes grappling).

To capture the goblin you have a few options. 1 being getting into the same square as her and having a standard action available to grapple. 2 beating her to the finish line.

You can attempt to travel through three squares in one turn via doing a full-round action. To do this, you must complete both obstacles in your square. On a success, you move three squares ahead. If you fail either obstacles by 5 or less, you only move 1 square. If you fail by more than 5 you are unable to move.

If you fail any obstacle by more than 5, you become 'mired'. This means you somehow got stuck - aka foot caught in the window, fell from a ledge, etc - and you must spend a full-round action to remove yourself from the problem before attempting to continue.

For every 10 feet of base movement speed you have over 30, you gain a +2 bonus on each skill check. For every 10 feet of base movement under 30ft, you take a -2 to every skill check.

I admit: It sounds a lot more complicated than it is. My first time dealing with the chase rules was...confusing to say the least.

Grand Lodge

So full round action moves three squares ahead by completing obstacles in the square you're in. Since we start in the bottom of the house without any, does that mean we can head straight into the street?

Grand Lodge

Sylph Ranger 4 | AC 19-T13-FF14 (21 vs ranged) | HP 32/32 | F+5, R+8, W+3 | Per +9, darkvision; Init +4

(After the chase concludes, if we need others to use CLW wands besides Luurg, that's part of why I brought Zephyr, so there's two wand monkeys)

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

You could take two move actions (Since no obstacles) if going out the front door and be in the same square as her. Edit:NVM. I see what you were asking. RAW I'd say yes.

Zephyr, the 13 was his damage. He's got a 23 to hit (the way his dice string sits I made the same mistake on my first glance). Typically, you'd be stuck in the square before, but gravity helps through the upstairs. So you end up in the same square as goblin ;-)

Grand Lodge

Sylph Ranger 4 | AC 19-T13-FF14 (21 vs ranged) | HP 32/32 | F+5, R+8, W+3 | Per +9, darkvision; Init +4

My bad then re the 13/23. that's what I get for a quick read!

That works for me!

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

I get the feeling your chase isn't going to last long. When I played this, we barely managed to stop her from escaping.

Its good there's some athletes in the group, Luurg is a woodsman, not a fast and nimble one!

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

Luurg, I'll give you the option. Stuck in the window - Requiring your next turn to get unstuck....or fell out taking the damage you already rolled for falling.

Either is honestly fine, but I've already rolled the falling damage so lets go with that.

We'll say yes. They are big pipes after all.

Depending on what I run into after work tonight, I should be able to get your chronicles up by tomorrow at the latest.

Any suggestions for me to improve my PbP Gming, feel free to PM me or post here. This is only my 4th scenario as GM in this medium and I'm finding myself continuously learning new and better ways to do things.

Thank you all for joining me on this adventure!

The Exchange

This was by far the best PFS game I've been in, despite my reckless low level butt getting kicked. Thanks for running it. :)

Dark Archive

Given that dungeon crawls like this scenario can be particularly brutal in a pbp style game, I'd say you did an exceptional job. Will definitely look for your games in the future.
