No I won't, that's the joy of Spell Mastery, not needing a spell book for those spells :].

By the way I'm undecided about an arcane bond, there are a couple undead familiars for flavor or my dagger or a ring for the extra spell.

As long as I'm asking for stuff, I notice you're willing to wave feat taxes on a lot of different stuff. Would you be willing to wave the feat tax on entering a prestige class? I'm wavering on the Diabolist prestige class, which was revised to be somewhat less appealing, and considering the Exalted prestige class instead. Having to take a knowledge Skill Focus as a 3rd-level feat is kind of a let-down, though.

Pretty sure you have to buy bows for any skeletons that you want to play archer.


Geborah: I do not see Skill Focus as a prerequisite for the Diabolist prestige class, nor do I see it as a prerequisite for Fiendish Obedience, the feat that Diabolist does list.

Do you have a link to a different, revised version? I couldn't find one here on Paizo's website.

It is the Exalted prestige class that requires Skill Focus.


Ah, I see. I thought it was Diabolist that required Skill Focus, and that's one of the things that made it less appealing. In this case, I'm going to say no. The feat tax rules are more about making certain concepts easier, not removing prerequisites - making Dex-based melee builds easier to do, or making it easier to be capable of using combat maneuvers.

However - I am willing to provide an alternate feat you can take in place of Skill Focus - but you still have to take Deific Obedience with Asmodeus, and the alternate feat can only be used to qualify as long as you are a worshiper of Asmodeus. Should you ever cease being a worshiper of Asmodeus, you would lose the benefits of the Exalted prestige class until you return to worship of Asmodeus. I'll post the feat up at level 3.

Oh, no, it's that the imp companion has changed to a standard familiar--which is not only a big downgrade, but would also make my Witch VMC familiar useless--and you now lose a level of spellcasting at first level. I like the class's flavor, but I don't like it THAT much.

The other group hasn't finished the prison break yet, Geborah, so you would get no spoilers.

They killed almost everyone in the Great Hall before going after the Warden, and are preparing to assault the gatehouse now.

EDIT: There are now two maps above. One is the map of the Nine Lessons - this is just a progress-based map to show where you've gone so far. The other is a battle map - all the rooms in the Nine Lessons are about the same size, so I'm just going to use a generic map for any combats that occur.


A Key for the Nine Lessons map above - the room you are currently in is emphasized by the red dot. Since Jezabel just discovered a trap, I have marked it with a T.

Geborah, you need to take a level in vigilante so you can make "Aunty Geb" your alias...at which point we should all take a level to create fake id's....

This brings up an idea one of my RL players had, you play the entire game as a Vigilant or an entire group of Vigilantes. With the arch types you can cover almost every role... or you do it as a Gestalt game, and then Thorn's training also includes the creation of an identity.... Just thinking about the shenanigans and trouble you could cause made me laugh.


I am a player in a modified Gestalt WotW game, and one of the players has Serial Killer Vigilante on one side of the gestalt. The other identity is being established as a Knight of the Alerion.

yeah... that would cause some serious shenanigans... possible a mental breakdown or two on the Character side... My group wants to play the vampire version of the game thats presented in book 4 or 5. Then play high society cover as they bleed the Mitrans dry literly...
