Talia continues to the left, she will stop when she sees the Goblins and let the others het closer before she acts.

The goblins don't notice Talia as the others are able to get into position. There are 10 goblins in total. They appear to be worried or scared about something, huddled and jabbering as they are.
"Ripnugget fed three of us to the Howling Hole yesterday!"
"Yeah, and he gave another 4 of us to that demon-armed lady!"
"We should go back home!"
"Yeah, but without a chief, we don't have a leader, and one of the other tribes will kill us to take our stuff!"
You have a surprise round to attack the goblins. I'll roll Initiative to kick off Round 1.

Laufey Gemshrike |

Simply running out among so many goblins seems like a poor plan to Laufey. She leans her sword against the bramble wall and uses her bow to take a shot.

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

Rasmorn pulls a little bit of material out of his spell component pouch (why does it have to use spider webs? sticks to everything!), then makes a few arcane gestures and words before sending forth his arcane energies into the area with the goblins in it.
Casting Web centered in the area with the goblins, should completely fill the area I think. DC17 reflex save.

Surprise Round
Talia fires a crossbow bolt at the nearest goblin. Unfortuantely, her bolt misses high, having misjudged the height of the creature.
Isabella silently gives Talia a touch of good. This takes effect for your next turn, Talia.
Simply running out among so many goblins seems like a poor plan to Laufey. She leans her sword against the bramble wall and uses her bow to take a shot. Her arrow strikes true, and the goblin sways unsteadily from the arrow, clearly heavily wounded. Red Goblin is disabled.
Rasmorn pulls a little bit of material out of his spell component pouch (why does it have to use spider webs? sticks to everything!), then makes a few arcane gestures and words before sending forth his arcane energies into the area with the goblins in it. Sticky webbing suddenly fills the area, trapping most of the Goblins in it, although a few are quick enough not to be immediately stuck.

Laufey Gemshrike |

"Thank you Rasmorn, the field looks much better for us now."
Laufey leaves her bow and grabs up her sword. She moves up on the closest goblin who isn't trapped in the webbing to attack.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 1 = 22

Rasmorn beams happily at Laufey. "You're most welcome - I've been itching to try that one!" He rummages in his pack briefly before pulling out a scroll. "This should compliment it nicely..." He begins to read from the scroll, before making a circle gesture with his outstretched arm in the direction of the goblin pack.
As he completes the gesture, a flaming sphere appears on top of the goblin furthest to the back.
Casting Flaming Sphere off of a scroll, CL5, Reflex save DC 13 negates the sphere damage but it should still ignite the web nicely, causing damage that way whether they make the save or no. Dropping the sphere on top of the dark purple bordered goblin in the back.

Round 1
Sighing at her lost chance Talia again targets the same Goblin. This time her crossbow bolt finds the mark, silencing the creature.
"Thank you Rasmorn, the field looks much better for us now." Laufey targets the next closest white goblin and fires an arrow into it, making it grunt with pain.

He begins to read from the scroll, before making a circle gesture with his outstretched arm in the direction of the goblin pack. As he completes the gesture, a flaming sphere appears on top of the goblin furthest to the back.
Reflex Purple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
The goblin is completely engulfed in flames, and the webbing it was trapped in ignites as well.

The goblin Laufey shot manages to nimbly avoid the webbing and approaches her, swinging his dogslicer at her and scoring a minor wound. Laufey, take 1 damage. The other two who had managed to avoid the initial webbing, however, get stuck by it as they try to advance on the party as well. The other goblins struggle against the webbing, and two manage to escape! However, as they advance on the party, they are again stuck by the webs.

Laufey Gemshrike |

With the goblin who approached her cut down by Isabella, Laufey continue to launch arrows. She sends another at the closest free goblin if there is one. Otherwise, she simply choses the closest.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Looks like Isabella's attack comes before hers, and I'm assuming it's a certain success. So Laufey won't bother evading the goblin who attacked her.

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

Rasmorn waves a dismissive hand at Talia. "You always worry so much! I'll control my fiery impulses, I swear." He steps up a little to get a better view of the goblins (5-foot-step) before directing his fiery ball of doom onto another goblin (move action to direct the fire ball onto the green goblin).

Round 1
Isabella moves up next to Laufey and takes a heavy-handed swing with her huge falchion. She seems to be getting better with the weapon, as she easily fells the goblin.
Round 2
Talia shoots at another webbed Goblin, taking it out with a well-placed shot.
With the goblin who approached her cut down by Isabella, Laufey continue to launch arrows. She sends another at the closest free goblin if there is one. Otherwise, she simply chooses the closest. That arrow badly wounds the goblin, but it isn't quite dead yet.
Rasmorn waves a dismissive hand at Talia. "You always worry so much! I'll control my fiery impulses, I swear." He steps up a little to get a better view of the goblins before directing his fiery ball of doom onto another goblin. It burns the webbing as it goes, making nettles smolder beneath it.

She also notices Isabella struggling. "Have you thought about a lighter weapon?"
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Laufey Gemshrike |

Laufey nods sagely as she draws another arrow from her quiver.
"I see. So you must suffer while you master it so that you prove your faith as your deity's servant. It is a test of your worthiness. Is that the way of it? Is this deity one who honors success only with struggle?"

Isabella Monstrance |

"Yes," says Isabella without hesitation as she brings the falchion back up to a ready position by her shoulder.

Laufey Gemshrike |

Laufey frowns slightly in thought. "Hm. It is a strange idea. If I were a deity, and I commanded my servants to kill my enemies, I would tell them to use the weapons they best kill with. It would be so they are most likely to kill my enemies rather than my enemies kill them."

Isabella Monstrance |

"Reymenda's followers have all experienced sacrifice, loss, and catastrophe. Generally it is not our goal to kill people, but... these things happen," says Isabella.

Round 3
Trusting her friends to deal with the Goblin in front of the party, though a bit confused at the philosophical discussion taking place amid the flame, smoke and blood; Talia tries to pick off another Goblin. Her well-placed crossbow bolt quickly ends that one's struggle.
Laufey shifts her bow to her left hand and draws her dagger. She thrusts it into the goblin, and puts it away as he falls. She and Isabella then engage in a philosophical discussion amongst themselves about Reymenda and the favored weapons of various deities.
Rasmorn hums happily to himself as he directs the ball of flame into another goblin. "This is rather effective! I'll have to remember this combo."
Flaming Sphere: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4) = 13

Isabella Monstrance |

Falchion attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Falchion damage: 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 3) + 1 = 7
Isabella whirls her falchion about in a heavy arc, connecting once more.
"Smoke inhalation is no joke. We shouldn't linger," she says agreeably in response to Talia's comment.

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

"That's probably wise" Rasmorn agrees with Talia, as he causes the flaming sphere to start rolling again onto another goblin.
If Talia missed her shot at purple, then I'll direct the flaming sphere back over the path it had already taken, around blue, and up to purple. If purple is dead already, then I'll hit blue.

GM Phntm888 |

Round 2
Isabella prepares to attack any goblins that get close enough to attack Laufey and Talia. Laufey killed the goblin in front of you, Isabella, so I'll treat that s a readied attack.
Round 3
Trying for a better view Talia advances 10' and takes a shot at Purple. The bolt hits, but the blow isn't as direct as she'd like, and the goblin doesn't seem to be down.
Laufey steps up and fires her bow at the goblin as well.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

"That's probably wise," Rasmorn agrees with Talia, as he causes the flaming sphere to start rolling again onto another goblin.
Flaming Sphere: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2) = 9
Flaming Web: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
That goblin, too, is consumed in flames.
Combat is over.

GM Phntm888 |

I just realized I didn't give you guys any direction on where to go or what to do in that post.
Looking at the now partially burned web and several burned goblins, you see that you've reached a dead end. There appears to have been some kind of nettle door lookout post, although it wasn't manned. Other than the way you came, you appear to have two path choices - one heading South and the other East.
Which way do you want to go? South is back towards the entrance, east is further in.

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

With a wave of the hand, Rasmorn dismisses both the fire and the webbing. He then looks through the various bodies for anything useful or important.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Any loot on the bodies?

Talia Burrows |

"Once we've searched the bodies we should head east while they're still wondering if one of these twits lit a fart in the wrong place?" Talia suggests to the rest of the group.

After looting the goblins, with Talia again in the lead, you advance cautiously down the eastern path. It leads into a large cave-like chamber - except made of nettles instead of stone. Three thistle tunnels lead into it. Above, the thorny canopy grows thin enough that tiny slivers of the sky can be seen, while the ground consists of trampled dirt. The distant crashing of waves can be heard echoing up from a hole in the ground to the west.

Isabella Monstrance |

Isabella says quietly, "Why haven't any come to find out about the commotion? Maybe the sound of the ocean helped drown out the fighting."

Laufey Gemshrike |

"That could be Isabella. The walls will also stop some noise. And do not goblins fight a lot? It may have been heard and ignored as normal."
Laufey approaches the large hole on hands and knees. She wants to take a good look down it, but not at the risk of falling in.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Ugh. Can Laufey just take 10 for 18 perception?

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

Rasmorn nervously peeks over the edge of the hole, and gives a little squeak before quickly backing away. "Let's not go that way" he says, looking toward the other exit in the clearing.

Laufey Gemshrike |

"No, far too deep to bother with" Laufey agrees.
"Unless we can't get in through the way we are going now. Maybe a cave tunnel down there could take us in a back way if we have to try something else."
She moves on from the hole, and creeps down to where the path through the nettles branches. She waits there and listens carefully for any sounds coming from the branching paths.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Laufey Gemshrike |

Laufey leans back away from the corner and puts her hand up to signal the others they should stop. She creeps back to the rest of the group and briefs them in a low voice.
"There are four of those dog things goblins ride tied to a stake. If we could go around them I would say we should. But I don't think there is a way. We can leave them, but they will make noise. If we kill them they will also make noise and we may be hurt. What should we do?"
