Jek shrugged at the Mirilian’s last words before everything went hectic. As soon as the stormtroopers arrived on the scene, Jek gave both the women a quick, nervous glance as he went through what he could do and what he should do.

Inevitably, he made the wrong decision. Blast it all. He said quickly as he pushed himself in front of the fugitive and drew his Bryar pistol. I’ll cover you, He said, moving with her to the nearest cover, but not firing just yet. They had t attacked him yet, after all. Rather, he primed up his pistol for the eventuality.

As everything starts happening at once, the Corellian simply reacts by throwing his coffee, cup and all, at the closest armed man's face. There is an audible sigh as he fails to even slightly discomfort his target, but shrugs anyway, a sheepish grin on his face.

"Err... oops?"

Round 1

"Get behind cover!" Jordis thrusts the wounded woman into the arms of the Chiss, then makes her move. She moves up to the Stormtroopers and strikes one right across the face. His head snaps the direction of the blow, but then turns back and he says, "You're going to regret that, girl."

Jek shrugged at the Mirialan’s last words before everything went hectic. There is an audible sigh as he fails to even slightly discomfort his target, but shrugs anyway, a sheepish grin on his face. "Err... oops?" The coffee still managed to stain the man's tunic, even if it had no other effect.

Sebbik curses in his native tongue, tucking away his datapad and rising to his feet when the stormtroopers arrive - though he is glad that at least they are not pointing at him! He hopes he managed to get enough information to suit his purposes - though perhaps he will be able to continue his search of the central computer's data records a bit later now that he's managed to bypass the security system once. At the moment, things were about to get very hot around here and Sebbik decides to get out while he still can. The duros slips into the shadows, his hands at his side, but the slicer is ready to draw the holdout blaster he keeps tucked away in its concealed holster if there is a sudden need. He moves away from the troopers in an attempt to put the terminal between himself and them, noticing that a few others seem to have taken an interest in the fugitive they are after. The two covert agents he noticed have both drawn their concealed blasters, but the duros wonders if they are truly Imperial as he'd originally suspected or something else entirely? And now there is a third emerging from the door with a holdout blaster in his hand as well. Very interesting indeed...

The informant Callum splashed with coffee looks at him and splutters, "You dare!? YOU DARE!?" and turns to fire his holdout blaster at the Corellian. However, in his anger he pulls the trigger too soon and shoots the floor.

The one who came from the doors sees Sebbik and shouts, "That Duros is with them!" He then steps forward and points his holdout blaster at Sebbik. Fortunately for the Duros, he forgot to check the charge on his power cell, and the blaster merely emits a low power beep.

The final one moves away from Winter to get a clear shot at Jek where he is with the woman, but the shot goes wildly high over the pirate's head.

GM Phntm888 I asked the following question in my last post, but you seem to have missed it. "What does Galatea know of possible routes off the promenade? More thoroughly, of routes to where the spaceships are kept and what security precautions are taken with them?" What I want to do is try to formulate a plan of escape. If Galatea doesn't know anything relevant I will have to do something else.

"Wrong choice friend." says Winter as drops his rucksack with a loud THUMP sound and then pulls out his blaster carbine. Setting it to stun, he fires on the one who tried to fire on him. As he arms himself, his body language seems to shift and those opposing him have their flight or fight instinct scream at them to flee from a superior predator.

As this wave washes over the enemies near him, Winter fires his weapon, a concentric ring of energy marking that it is set to stun.

Attack Roll w/Point-Blank Shot: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage Roll: 3d8 + 1 ⇒ (8, 6, 8) + 1 = 23/2=11 damage is the damage he takes. If the full damage dealt (in this case 23) bypasses his damage threshold, he moves -2 steps along the condition track.

Also, I activated my Talent, Commanding Presence. It gives all enemies within 6 squares of me a -2 penalty to Will defense. Looking at the map the close thug and the one at the top of the map are currently effected.

Finally, I'm not wearing my armor currently, so my Ref Defense is currently 14.

There are several ways off the Promenade. There's the elevator to Blue Deck, which is the nice part of Sel Zonn Station that caters primarily to aristocrats and Imperials. There's a strong Imperial Presence there.

There are routes to the lower levels of the station, although you don't know anything about them or what may be down there.

There are exits to the three hangars. One is the commercial star liner hangar, which caters exclusively to large transport ships. Another is dedicated purely to Imperial use. The final would contain private starships of those who did not dock on Blue Deck. This hangar entrance is typically guarded by a both station security and a squad of stormtroopers.

I posted this in a spoiler in the Initiative post. Here it is again.

Jordis and Jek down the last of the informants, and as the sounds of combat die down, the woman says, "Thank you for your aid. We need to get out of here." Pointing at a nearby maintenance hatch, she says, "If we go through there, I can get us to a safe place and hopefully explain more about what's happening."

She seems to have the code to open it, and once through the maintenance hatch, she leads you through a maintenance tunnel to a secure tool room elsewhere in the Promenade. Once there, she sits back against the wall, cradling what you can now see is a blaster wound on her left side.

"Thank you for your help back there. My name is Maya. If you're willing to help me a bit further."

"In Deep Storage Bay V14 is a droid named Switch. He can provide you with the location of a very valuable cargo. I was supposed to make contact with Switch, recover the cargo, and then deliver it to Senator Bail Organa, of Alderaan. I'm a member of the Alderaanian Security Force, and a member of Senator Organa's personal security detail. The Empire waylaid me a few hours after I arrived on the station - apparently, working for a vocal opponent of the Emperor marks me as a troublemaker, and they want me off this station one way or the other." She chuckles at that, then grimaces in pain, before looking at each of you and saying, "Will you recover and deliver the cargo for me? Please?"

The Emperor? He said, blinking. Sithspit, you know how to make enemies. He sighed, listening to the white-haired man ask what was in it for him. Perhaps a bit terse, but he had the right idea. Fighting the Empire cost money. Still, he scratches at the back of his head and says, I'd need to know what the cargo is before a deal is made, And as he said so, it was clear how unfomfortable he was with even entertaining the idea that he'd do this. I'm no friend of the Empire, but that's asking an awful lot.

Jek turns to Callum, smilign and straightening his prized coat. That is Captain Blue Fellow to you, Cal. He said. But for ease of use, you may call me Captain Jek. Or just Captain, I'm not picky.

Rewarded? Jek thought. Handsomely? He smiled, ignoring the 'saving thousands of lives' portion of the explanation. You might have just found yourself a blue idiot with a deathwish, luv.[/i]

Hearing that the Duros had hacked into the central computer, Jek raises an eyebrow. [b]I like this one. He's got ambition.

My best lead led me here, and I need to see if he's still here before running off to another planet. Once I find out one way or the other, I don't mind going and collecting your 'cargo'. As a matter of fact, Galatea here was just beginning to help me look when that happened."

As he speaks, Winter begins strapping on his armor, which turns out to be a combat jumpsuit with stylized lines and a small symbol of the mercenarie's guild on the breast. He then reloads his blaster carbine, collapses it down, and sheathes it in a hip holster before settling an All-Temperature cloak colored to match his armor onto his shoulders.

He finishes by tying his long white hair into a pony tail and says "I am ready to proceed."

"Can't tell. We received a message from the agent saying he was sending the cargo to the station, but not what. I think he was afraid of the Empire finding out about it, and intercepting it."

"If you're looking for someone, then getting this cargo from Switch helps both of us. Switch is a protocol droid whose memory clearly hasn't been wiped in a long time. He fancies himself an information broker and up and coming crime lord. If this Imperial Captain is on the station, Switch knows where he is. You can find your Captain, and get the cargo."

Sebbik:

It doesn't look like you got much - just a partial Imperial report indicating the possibility of the presence of a Jedi somewhere on the station. You can't tell if any follow-up was made, or if they found anything other than rumor.

The good news is that since you've hacked into the computer once, you can do it again.

You get a +2 circumstance bonus on future Use Computer checks when dealing with Sel Zonn Station's central computer.

Maya smiles. "I'm glad you're willing to help. Here." She hands 1d6 ⇒ 6 Winter a datapad. "That has instructions on how to get to Deep Storage Bay V14. There isn't any Imperial presence on this level, so you should be able to move about without issue. I have a safe house I can go to in order to recover. Sebbik is vaguely aware that Maya is talking, but the duros is absorbed by what he's reading on his datapad. His eyes widen and he glances around at the others, trying to decide if they can be trusted. He makes a quick decision, for at the very least they are allies by circumstance - having attacked stormtroopers and those imperial agents, or whoever they were.

"The Imperials believe there is a Jedi on this station." He states abruptly, looking at each of those present for any reaction. He holds out his datapad that reflects the partial memo for all to see. "Could that have something to do with this cargo?"

A more specific reading would be that the Imperials heard a rumor that it was possible there was a Jedi on the station - with no indication as to the either the truth of it or if they did anything about it.

"My comlink code is in the datapad. This level is mostly accessed exclusively by maintenance droids, along with the occasional tech. There are no cameras that I'm aware of."

Maya frowns at Sebbik's report. "I doubt it - although Senator Organa would be thrilled to find Jedi who survived the Purge. He was a staunch supporter of them."

Looks like we've been recruited into a revolution, mates. He said. Let's see the job through, All the better so I can distance myself from this place and this cause as soon as possible.

Jordis stays silent for a moment, having an internal debate, but merely shrugs.
"Indeed, I have heard Senator Organa is a fine man, and was a great ally to the Jedi. It would be quite interesting to meet him, I think. Well, let us not tarry here. The sooner we may be gone from this place, the harder it will be for the Empire to track us down."

Thanks GM Phntm, I'll just say that ICly, Sebbik overreacted a bit to the news and read into a bit. :)

"Yes, we should head out. If anyone tries to talk to us, just keep walking like you belong here and ignore them. If they belabor the point, well, I defer you to our friends outside the gambling house for what happens then." says Winter with a chuckle.

"A Jedi? Here?"

The Duros' information catches Callum by surprise, though he does try to hide it. "Come on now, we all know they were wiped out, right? Probably rumor and hearsay." He smiles. "After all, you can never keep a juicy little tale from spreading."

Still, Sebbik's words are enough to pique his curiosity, enough to do something he had only done on rare occasions so far. Hope, after all, can be a powerful motivator, if a foolhardy one sometimes.

Use the Force (Sense Force): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Sebbik nods solemnly at Callum, his eyes never quite reaching the human's gaze. Putting the datapad away, the duros makes ready to head out by checking his blaster again. Hopefully there won't be a need for it, but if there is, he would be ready.

Shame about the Jedi, really, Jek hummed. You try and assassinate one Supreme Chancellor and everything turns to bantha fodder. He shrugged, brushing at his shoulder. Not that I blame 'em for it, now that I've seen everything the Empire's done afterwards. I really wish they were more succesful, honestly.

"The Emperor's not that bad a guy. He keeps the trains running on time, as they say, and from what my parents told me of the Republic it wasn't very organized."
