Jek took in a deep breath and worked his mouth. If they were Seperatist holdouts, then they didn’t have the good Sep gear they did back in the war. It scorched my armor and left me with a few light burns, but I’ve already applied the gel-patches to the offending areas. What I really need is a new medpac for my kit, and I’ll be happily out of your hair. I need to see about getting a requisition for replacement the damaged pieces of armor, and that will put me behind a datapad for hours of paperwork. Wish I could avoid it, but this suit’s all kriffed.

Winter Allesh
As soon the stormtroopers leave, Winter drops the act and says "Greetings friends. Can I interest any of you in an exciting opportunity adventuring among the stars, far away from jungles?"
Winter chuckles as he speaks, but it's clear from his posture that he's offering them a chance to escape.

Sebbik
Sebbik hesitates in removing his armor, not daring to open his mouth. Hopefully if Jek can pull this off, then can just walk out of here. Though there are those poor creatures to consider... maybe they can be released and cause some confusion in the base? Unless they're so badly mistreated and aggressive they wouldn't recognize the fact that they were being helped.
GM Phntm888
The man in the lab coat snorts. "You've got blaster burns on your chestpiece. You're probably noticing a bit of trouble breathing, which means your ribs will need to be fixed up. The fact you don't have a collapsed lung is even more surprising. You all look like you should be dead, based on the blaster burns." Suddenly he frowns. "Come to think of it, those burns look like they were in fatal spots. Get your armor off. Now." His voice takes on a bit of an edge, and his jaw seems to clench.
The prisoners look at each other, but the military man shakes his head and says, "Son, you're obviously not familiar with Imperial prisons. Those blast doors are thick enough that you'd either need a powerful fusion cutter or a Jedi's lightsaber to cut through them. There's no way to access the wiring to the doors from this side, and the air vents are too small to crawl through. Plus, there are security cameras monitoring us every second of the day. The guards outside probably just heard you say that, so they'll be on alert. Now, you've got a lot of courage, and were probably a good soldier for whoever you fought for in the Clone Wars, but you're out of your league on this one."
The military man is cautious of you. The others seem to be trying to decide if you were serious or not.
Sebbik
Sebbik doesn't see a way to handle this quietly and in near-panic draws his blaster pistol awkwardly in the heavy armor, trying to shoot the scientist down before he can raise an alarm. The duros hopes that the heavy doors mask the noise sufficiently to alert anyone else...

Sebbik doesn't see a way to handle this quietly and in near-panic draws his blaster pistol awkwardly in the heavy armor, trying to shoot the scientist down before he can raise an alarm. The duros hopes that the heavy doors mask the noise sufficiently to alert anyone else. His blaster bolt catches the scientist in the chest and drops him immediately.
I'm not going to end combat, so Callum is up for Round 1.
Sebbik
Sebbik points to the creatures that are pinned down. "Let's release them quickly, at the least they'll cause confusion enough for us to get to Winter. At worst, they'll attack us and give us an excuse for shooting the scientist as an accident."
The duros tries to find out how they might free the creatures quickly...
Engineering check to override the locks? Or computers to do the same? I sorta thought my attack was a 'surprise round' situation, so do I get another action at the top of the initiative?
Callum Vorn
"Well, this went sideways faster than I thought," Callum quips as he starts to check the locks themselves for any weak spots he could use to disable them.
Mechanics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
GM Phntm888
No, your attack is not a surprise round action. Drawing your blaster technically counts as the start of combat. You need the Surprise Strike talent and the Quick Draw feat for that attack to have been a surprise round attack.
The straps look like they can be released by having a command sent to them from the correct computer - probably the one next to the bacta tanks.
The Felucians struggle against their restraints, and glare at Callum with hatred and pain in their eyes.

"Who I work for is unimportant right now. It's what I can offer you all that is of merit. Even now my unit is planting explosives on the outer wall in preparation for a breach, and our slicer is currently working his way through the system and should have the doors open shortly. When they do, who can I count on to help fight our way out?"
Persuasion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

"A command sent from that computer over there next to the bacta tanks should release the restraints," Callum points out, looking mostly at Sebbik. "But are we sure we want to release them? I must say, the look they are giving me? Let us just say I am not feeling all that much love and gratitude..."
GM Phntm888
The military man says, "Either you truly believe what you say, or you're a spy sent to trick us into attempting an escape. I'm inclined to think the latter, since this prison is secret. That's why these others are here - they stumbled onto something they shouldn't have. Tell me, who are you? And if you truly came for a rescue, who sent you?"
The other prisoners look at each other and one says, "I don't know what good we'll be, but we don't want to remain in Imperial Custody any longer than we have to. We'll help."
Winter, you get the feeling that the military man doesn't know if he can trust you. Obviously, you don't want to give away Bail Organa's involvement, but perhaps if you can prove you know who he is, he might be more willing to go along with you.
The Felucians growl at Galatea's question and continue struggling against their bonds.
Waiting for Jek before the droid.

Surprised that Sebbik beat him to the punch, Jek drew his pistol, his armor making it a less graceful and smooth motion than he would have liked, and he snaps off a shot at the droid. Sebbik and Callum are up, if you are going to release the Felucians.
Sebbik
Sebbik nods as the droid falls. He wonders if it might have some critical information in its data banks, but there's no time. Winter has been taken to the prison and might be in trouble. The duros wonders briefly if the Felucians might be able to help them. If they aren't maddened beyond all reason and attack anything or anyone they see.
Moving to the computers, the slicer tries to hack in quickly and looks for interesting data or a way to free the creatures, but hesitates in doing so. "We uh... we could open the doors then release them and see if they'll head out into the base? Or we just leave them here and go get Winter. Maybe uh... maybe we can free them when we leave before the place blows? Whatever we decide, we had best be able to talk to them." As he works on the computer, Sebbik speaks a few words of Mon Calamari and Sullustese to see if perhaps the Felucians are familiar with either language.
Use Computers check: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Move to computers and try to get some information quickly, if possible. As for the Felucians, whether to release them or not is a tough call... I'm OK with both ideas, but it's probably safer to leave them be for now - unless one of us can communicate with them?
Sebbik
Data on the Felucians, and data on what this base is being used for in general by the Empire. The latter he'll just copy to his datapad for later perusal, if anything looks pertinent at a glance. Anything on the Felucians he will look at immediately. But only if he can do this quickly, as we need to hook back up with Winter before things go sideways on us.
GM Phntm888
It appears that the Felucians have been undergoing genetic modification on the orders of Captain Vischera, the base commander. There are records of over 30 test subjects, including these two - most are listed as "deceased", but two, referred to as Subjects A02024 and A02025, do not have that designation. In fact, there is little information available on them at all.
There is no information about the specific purpose of this facility - that may be available in the Communications Center.
The military man says, "Well, I'm sorry to tell you it's true. The Emperor disbanded the Mercenary's Guild on account of the number of members who fought on the side of the Separatists in the Clone Wars. It's every mercenary for himself now, I suppose." He chuckles at that last bit.
Sebbik
Sebbik shakes his head sadly as he reads over the data quickly. "These two have been genetically altered by the Empire. One Captain Vischera, the base commander to be exact. There have been others, thirty or so - but few have survived." As he speaks, his tone heavy with anger, his usual hesitation seems to have disappeared entirely.
The duros takes another look at the Felucians and makes a decision. They can't allow these sentient life forms to be subjected to the cruel experimentations of the Empire for a moment longer. And they might not have time to release them on the way out. "I will release one of them. Let's see what it does. If it attacks us without hesitation, I... I uh... I guess we'll have to kill them both, then. Better that than whatever fate they would have received."
Approaching one of the Felucians, he speaks in what he hopes is a soothing manner. "We are going to release you. We mean you no harm. Escape this place while you still can." He tries this in each of the languages he knows as he looks to undo the restraints - unless one of the others stops him.
Mechanics check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Plan is to release one of them and see what it does before releasing the second Felucian. If anyone wants to stop him though, Sebbik will oblige, as he's not really certain of the merits of his plan anyway. He just feels badly for the creatures and what they've endured.
Tirual’Sij’Ekil ‘Jek’
Jek switches his pistol to stun and then turns his blaster to the researcher.
attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 2 = 12
damage: 3d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1, 1) + 1 = 4
That was a warning shot, He lied. I urge you to surrender. I’d hate to have to shoot down a man of medicine.
Sebbik
Jek, the researcher is down, as is the robot. We're trying to determine whether to release the Felucians or leave them here and go see what happened to Winter. Sebbik is of a mind to release one of the Felucians to see if it is hostile toward us, but can easily be talked out of that plan.
Galatea Rayven
"Can someone skilled in mechanics remove the droid brain from the medical droid so we can take it with us. Those mutated Fellucians... they didn't reply when I told them we were friends. I think they will attack anything close if they are released. If we are going to release them we should be poised to leave the room first and set them free as a violent distraction."
Sebbik is right, the researcher and robot are both down.
Sebbik
Hold off on releasing the Felucians then, use that above Mechanics check to remove the droid's databank to take with us, if possible?
Callum Vorn
Regarding the Felucians' restraints, Callum's earlier Mechanics check indicated that we need to use the computer near the bacta tanks to unlock them.
Sebbik
Oh yes, that sounds familiar! OK then, definitely use that Mechanics roll to get that information out of the droid then - if possible. If we decide to try and free the Felucians (and it looks like we might not...) I'll have to make a Computers check.
Galatea Rayven
Galatea moves over to the computer next to the bacta tanks and tries to get to the information stored therein.
What she is looking for is-
1 The way to release the Felucians, note I am not trying to release them now,
1 b) If I can program it to release them after a delay [say in 3 minutes]?
2 A map of the base.
3 Which cell the admiral we are seeking is held in and where it is, and
4 Details of the vile experiments done on the Felucians, and who ordered it done [so we can hopefully do away with them in a painful fashion later].
Use Computer: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
GM Phntm888
Sebbik quickly and without fuss removes the droid's brain, as the rest of you try to decide what to do with the Felucians.
"Oh, I'm sure, I'm sure. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get comfortable. Who knows how long we have until they either move us to another facility, or decide to execute us."
The man settles back on the bench, closing his eyes and crossing his hands over his belly.
EDIT
There is a button allowing for a quick release of the Felucians. There appears to be no way to delay that release. These computers also appear to only record information about the experiments, no general information about the base - that would probably be in the Communications Center. Sebbik has already copied the information about the experiments.
Tirual’Sij’Ekil ‘Jek’
XD Sorry! Was looking at one of the initiative boards when I wrote that. Must have been the wrong one.
Jek looks to the Felucians. Perhaps they can be... reasoned with? i doubt that we speak any of the same languages, however, and body-language might only go so far. We could stun them and pull them out, if you’re feeling —for lack of a better term— heroic, but that might be more trouble than it’s worth. Maybe the fact that we’re not all human might be an aiding factor, but I’m not sure if Felucians are in a position to distinguish the fact.
Winter Allesh
Winter does something quite similar, but instead of sleeping decides to lesten to the conversation around him, as well as the noises of the prison itself.

"There is a release button here for the Felucians. I think if we release them, we should use them as a distraction and get as far away from them as possible. Da... They seem to be incredibly angry and in agony, I think they will attack anything. We should all stay dressed as stormtroopers, which might deceive the Imperials but will convince the Felucians we are enemies, if that is even relevant. If those of us out of armour get it back on we can move to the cells I think."
Sebbik
Sebbik nods distractedly. "I think we should hurry to see about Winter, but I hate to leave these creatures here. Maybe we could stun them, then release them. At least when they wake up, they'll have a chance to escape."
GM, since they are 'helpless' can we set our weapons to stun and just knock them out, then trigger the release and get out of here?
Sebbik
If it seems feasible, Sebbik does just that. Using his blaster set to the 'stun' setting, he knocks the two creatures senseless then releases them by using the computer. Once that task is done, he moves to the door and waits to see if the others are ready before opening it...
Works for me! Stun them, free them so they can get out of here when they wake up and maybe cause some chaos in the base. We will leave the door into the medical bay open so they can get out. For now, let's head to the prison and see about getting our Imperial mole and see what happened to Winter. Seeing all those hidden messages between you two and resisting the urge to peek is about to drive me crazy!
Callum Vorn
"Well, I will admit it is nice not having to worry of getting beaten to death by someone you just rescued," Callum quips as Sebbit provides a solution to releasing the mutated creatures.
"Now, shall we continue going about our business of rescuing people and sabotaging buildings?"
GM Phntm888
Sebbik pumps a couple of stun blasts into each Felucian, knocking them out, and then hits the restraint release. With a click, the restraints open, freeing the unconscious Felucians.
You exit out into the main area of the base, remembering that Winter was led across the hall. As you approach the door, you notice a holocam out front, allowing those inside to see who is at the door.
Do you continue approaching?
Sebbik
Sebbik glances at the others as though for reassurance, then moves up to the door, looking for a way to enter - even if it's by hacking into the computer.

Jek watches at the holocam uneasily, unsure whether or not he was being watched. You know, He whispered, just underneath his breath to whomever in his party was listening, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more naked and exposed than within this armor.
Callum Vorn
"Really now? It more or less feels like being in a very tiny cell for me," Callum responds in a whisper. "I do not think they made these things with comfort in mind."
