Standing closer to the depository, you notice that the faint green glow is evident inside as well as out. You remember one of your lessons on defenses against teleportation, which indicated a green shimmer is a telltale sign of a dimensional travel barring effect.

Sobrian takes in his surroundings and considers his options. He pokes his head back out of the doorway and whispers to Ash. It’s clear just inside this doorway. I am going in further.

He turns left and follows the corridor to the next door and tries the door quietly. If it is unlocked he will crack the door and look inside.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 to quietly inspect the next room.


The door opens silently, clearly indicating regular maintenance.

The circular room beyond is filled with storage lockers. The walls of the room are formed of lockers 5 high and circling from the door right around the room to the door again. Two rows of lockers double sided, 6 deep and 5 high form corridors within. There is no sign of conflict here.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 He does not hear the footsteps.

After his quick investigation, Sobrian will go back to the door Ash is at and wave all the others forward. When all have approached he will say, The ground floor is apparently clear of any enemy. There is a storage room of some kind filled with lockers. The stairs to the next floor is easily accessible, should we wish to climb the tower.

Ash moved into the building's ground floor, waving the others in as well, still trying to stay quiet while Sobrian scouted up the stairs.

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Harrumphs, and strokes his stache as he waddles in. He was not the overly cautioned type, as sometimes to get the best results you had to mix right when the explosion would happen. He would mutter under his breathe " Why can't people just get along for the gold?"

As soon as the others were all inside, Rose followed and closed the door. With the door closed, she turned around and concentrated for a moment, activating her life sense. She spared a quick glance around the locker-filled room before she spoke "keep your eyes open."

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28

Activating death watch spell-like ability


Looking into the room with Death Watch activated, there are no signs of living creatures, undead creatures or creatures who are neither alive nor undead. The lockers fill the room, as previously described.

The place looks empty. I think we may have missed all the action. I am going to take a look at the first floor quickly.

Sobrian will head to the stairs and quietly ascend.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 Sobrian will go just far enough to have a peak at the next floor. If there is a door he will crack it, if it is just open he will poke his head up to check things out.

Barrack moves into the first floor with the others keeping his shield at the ready. As Sobrian begins advancing up the stairs, Barrack positions himself at the base of the stairwell.
