Virgil doesn't wait to be told - he scampers off the ravens surrounding him and meets with the sylph in melee, striking her with his swift rapier. The extraplanar creature groans as the glorified sting penetrates her shoulder.

Flames pour out of Giri's hands. The ravens are known to be crafty animals, and they prove it once more by easily avoiding the full brunt of Giri's blast. They swoop over the Tien warrior and Zadok, pecking once more at their eyes.

Giri, it wasn't your turn yet, though I'll keep these actions for right now. There's just a slight twist, but I'll keep that attack roll for the AoO Virgil will take against the sylph.
Thorgull lays his curse of the void upon the airy creature, while Zadok's eyes are pecked at by the many ravens.
The sylph takes flight, evading Virgil's sudden strike. She then casts a complex spell, and the winds immediately blow forth to protect her as a barrier forms around her.

The eagles rend the priestess to death, ending the immediate threat. Her body flutters down and impales itself on the many icy spikes protruding from the roof.
End combat.
You spend the next few minutes tending to your wounds - including your eyes, then searching the two rooms on the same level. The first one is a storeroom where dozens of stacked crates are lined up, and several miniature dollhouses stand atop shelves. Altogether, the dollhouses contain a jeweled +1 silver dagger whose hilt resembles the head of a blue-eyed winter wolf, a jade bracelet in the shape of a Tian sovereign dragon worth 175 gp, a pair of porcelain dolls (worth 40 gp each), a silver medallion decorated with sapphires (worth 300 gp), a strange gold signet ring (worth 250 gp), and three blue quartz crystals (worth 100 gp each).
Two bookshelves, a chest, and a comfortable-looking bed heaped with thick blankets furnish the other room. A mobile of ice crystals carved to resemble birds hangs from the ceiling, glinting in the light from frost-covered windows. In the chest, you find a weird-looking crystal key with a note that was angrily crumpled and tossed aside. It reads You know where to find me, fairest maiden.

Thorgull Kjalderssen |

Mostly uninterested in the jewelry, Thorgull looks at the magical items and recalls something interesting while looking at the signet ring.
Knowledge (history): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
"Hey, this signet has the signet of the Jadwiga Tashanna. It was one of Baba Yaga's many daughters, dating back to the Witchwar 500 years ago. There is a story telling us that Tashanna rebelled against her mother. Looks like what we were looking for, isn't it?" he says with a smirk, almost proud of himself.

Zadok Allendil |

"Indeed, history seems to be repeating itself. I did not know that any of Baba Yaga's daughters had rebelled in the past."
Zadok then sits still against the wall for a moment, blindly staring ahead. "Does anyone know how to treat eye injuries?"
Can someone try Heal on Zadok? Otherwise he's going to be pretty useless without being able to see. It's a long shot, that's a high DC, but I don't think we have any other reasonable options.

Thorgull Kjalderssen |

DESNAAAAAA!: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 nope, not twice in row
Thorgull tries to make the same wonder he used on Giri but it doesn't seem to work.

Thorgull Kjalderssen |

"Friends, we may want to search what portal this key opens, shouldn't we? And can someone attempt to heal Zadok as well?" asks the wizard.

![]() |

I assume you take 20 to cure your eyes. What preparations do you make before activating the portal?
-Posted with Wayfinder

Thorgull Kjalderssen |

Not for me

Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |

Giri, able to see from Thorgull's ministrations, moves to address Zadok's wounds. Applying a bit of salve, the man pulls out a piece of thread and a needle and quickly sews up the large gash across the man's eyes, letting him see once more. "Now, we must hurry quickly." he says, activating the portal before incanting to his god.
As he does so, he is covered in a protective shield once more.
Using my Arcane Bond Helmet to cast Shield of Faith once more.

Zadok Allendil |

Oh, you'll let us T20 on curing the blindness? Usually Heal isn't repeatable I thought but I'll concede to whatever the GM says.
Zadok slowly stands up from where he had been sitting against the wall. "You're right, Giri. We still haven't found the witch and every moment in here is more time for reinforcements to show up."

Using the key, you see the scenery melt once more around you, only to be replaced by a ritual chamber. A translucent image of a globe hangs suspended in midair, slowly rotating in place, above a summoning circle in the blue-tiled floor of this large chamber. Lines of arcane energy glow across the globe’s surface, faintly humming with power as they connect multiple endpoints in a radiant glow bright enough to illuminate the domed ceiling overhead. Many tables and shelves covered in books, maps, and large scrolls line the room’s circular walls, and a large ornate mirror hangs between two open windows to the west. Twin ice sculptures of demonic fiends flank a bubbling cauldron in an archway leading into a deep alcove in the southern wall.
A middle-aged man dressed in icy-toned robes stirs a large cauldron. A smirk rests on his face as he watches you materialize. "So you are the meddlers and troublemakers that have been invading my mistress's desmene. I'm her apprentice, Radosek Pavril, though not for long. I'm afraid she's away for now, but I'll deal with you... along with the Warden of the Portals. Meet your doom, outlanders."
As he monologues, he slits his own wrist, and a few drops of his blood fall inside the bubbling cauldron. The bubbles are increasingly tame, until two serrated horns protrude from the liquid. A grimacing head follows, then the rest of the body of a being of formidable power! You instantly recognize a gargoyle, though this one is by no means like the ones you have heard of. Its body is made of ice, and its crafty eyes glare at you in utter hatred.
The creature standing in front of you is undoubtedly of mythic origins, you feel it deeply. A mythic trial begins!

Thanks and you're right. I remember from GMing this AP that blindness comes up often as it's a common spell, especially for witches and I think oracle eventually just learned remove blindness or maybe they stocked up on a dozen scrolls, I don't remember.
"Yes, Radosek, you will not be her apprentice for long because the Riders of Baba Yaga have come to deal with your treachery. Now get rid of that beast you've created." Zadok then reaches into the mind of the witch and tries to turn Radosek against his own demonic creation.
Murderous command. DC 15 Will save or attack the demon thing next turn. Using Recalled Blessing to make him roll twice (assuming he's non-mythic). That's the first mythic power spent today.
Also, is Radosek wearing armor or wielding a (metal) weapon?

![]() |

Radosek is wielding a strange wand-like dagger resembling an icicle. It appears to be made of pure ice. It's the weapon he used to slit his wrist. As for his armor, a transluscent force armor covers his upper body, but he otherwise wears no armor. I also completely forgot to mention he has a goat next to him. Yes, you read correctly. A goat.
