Thorgull Kjalderssen |

I was waiting for Virgil to act but let's go this way.
Thorgull moves into the room and points at the forlarren, shouting at Virgil indications about its weaknesses.
"Virgil! Try to stab it at the knees! When their knees are weak, they can't stomach to fight!"
Reveal Weakness on the Forlarren: -1 AC and saves for the next round.

Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |

Should we move on without him?

Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |

Utilizing Thorgull's vocal aid, Virgil targets the Forlarren. "Take care of the last atomie, Giri!" he shouts as he brings his cold iron longsword to bear against the bluish creature with the flaming sword. He takes a sweeping swing with the sword, targeting the creature's left knee.

Virgil rushes into battle, but the forlarren is an elusive opponent, and dodges the duelist's swing.
Apologies, the forlarren didn't have his flame blade in hand just yet. So...
The fey bard continues to bolster the morale of his invisible companion while he takes a step back and conjures a blade made of pure flame!

@GM: I believe the Atomie failed their Concentration check to turn invisible.
Giri, trying to rescue his newfound comrades from a fickle fey, takes two gigantic swings with Eruption's Blaze as he tries to swat the creature from the air.
"You had your chance, fey. Now you will end up like your brother!" he bellows as he swings.

4. Giri
I haven't had any news from EF these past few days. I'll give him 24 hours before I ask someone to state and roll an action for him.

Zadok Allendil |

Sorry, thought someone would have botted me by now! We only have 2-3 more days out in the field next week so things should be a bit more normal soon enough.
Zadok continues to use his cold-iron arrows against the fey. "Damn fey. And you'd think I'd like their chaotic and mischievous behaviors...."

None of the Sons of Summer are able to hit the Forlarren, who easily dodges every blow despite Thorgull's sound advice. It merely laughs at Giri, content with replying with a swift strike of her flame blade aimed at the Tien warrior. Zadok Allendil |

Zadok holds up the healing potion and says, "Heal yourselves. Quickly. Those fey were too loud and obnoxious and we'd already made some noise taking out the guards. This way."
Zadok puts his bow away for the moment to keep his hands free and opens the door to the library.

![]() |

Since Giri's wounded, I'll let him roll for the potions and also deal with Virgil's wounds in his next post. Alternatively, you can have Virgil take a back seat until he can post again. In any case, thanks Zadok for the push, let's keep the momentum and move onwards!
Zadok bursts into the library, opening the door without taking even the most basic precautions. Luckily, the door isn't locked or trapped. Beyond the door, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line the walls of this sprawling chamber. An ornate wooden table, covered with open texts and lit candles, and six chairs sit in the middle of the room. A massive mirror hangs on the western wall. However, Zadok has little time to pay attention to small details as his attention is drawn to a gigantic sword held by an Ulfen woman of fierce appearance. Fortunately, he heard her casting a spell and isn't surprised - neither are his companions. "You'll find me a more worthy opponent than the fey. Die, intruders!"

"No doubt we will," Zadok responds as he steps away from the door. "And yet I predict you will still not be worthy enough to beat us."
As Zadok steps away, the elf's eyes roll into the back of his head and he taps into the unthinkable void between the stars, sending the madness into the woman rather than into his own mind.

As the doors open, Giri hoists the tetsubo in his hand defensively, but it appears that the woman is looking to take down the dark one, so he lets Virgil step in and tries to deal with her before she can harm someone. Thorgull steps back and begins to summon an eagle.

Giri, just to be clear, you haven't healed Virgil? In his absence, I'm going to have him take a back seat then.

Don't worry Giri, no one and everyone was supposed to. Since you botted him last time it could have been you, but someone else could have done it, Giri. Anyway it's better to leave him out for now.
Thorgull, as said in PM you're using your standard action for round 1 to complete your summones, so no acid splash for you.
Zadok chooses to trust his elven roots and shoots an arrow, but he hurts his fingers by doing so, and the arrow lands in a nearby bookshelf. Giri is far more successful, engaging the warrior in melee combat and smacking her twice with his oversized club. Moreover, an eagle appears behind the so-called "librarian" and rakes her twice. The formidable onslaught on her leaves her bloody and almost unconscious. Yet her will to fight is far stronger than anything you've met so far, and she slashes back mightily at Giri! Fortunately, the protector's defenses remain steadfast, denying her the possibility of sending the Tien to the Boneyard.

The heroes of summer, uniting their forces, lash out at the large-sized "librarian", causing her already extensive wounds to overcome her. She falls to the ground, her icy blue eyes flaring with anger before revulsing.
End combat!
A quick search of the warrioress yields a wand of infernal healing (42 charges left), an elixir of fire breath, a masterwork greatsword, 65 Irriseni gold coins, as well as two keys. The first one is mundane, but doesn't open anything in your immediate vicinity. The second one appears to be made of crystal.
The mistress of the tower maintains an expansive library of collected lore here. The books cover such varied topics as Golarion history, the Great Beyond, and bestiaries on dragons, fey, and magical beasts of the icy north. Each collection grants a +2 circumstance bonus on Knowledge (history), Knowledge (planes), and corresponding monster lore skill checks. The open tomes on the table all relate to Taldor, its history and its customs.

Zadok thinks about the scroll of animate dead in his pack for only a moment before he shakes his head and says, "Grab the keys, the wand, the elixir, anything else you might need. This library no doubt holds great secrets but we will have to come back for it after we deal with the witch. Quickly, across the hall here."
Once everyone is ready, the dark-haired elf throws open the doors to the next room.

Still no healing for poor Virgil?
Several tables, covered in flowering plants and decorative figurines both large and small, occupy the corners of this brightly lit large room. A large mirror hangs on the northwestern wall, while double doors lead north and south. The angles of the ice in the walls and ceiling of this conservatory direct sunlight into the room to feed the collection of plants here. Despite a quick search, you don't find anything of note here.

Zadok Allendil |

Haha, poor Virgil! What resources do we have left? Zadok can cast if we really need it. I thought we bought a wand way back at the beginning but it's not listed on Zadok's sheet and we probably didn't have cast for that at the time so now I'm second-guessing myself. Zadok can't use the wand of infernal healing without UMD. We found a potion earlier but Giri used it. I guess unless someone is hiding some healing, Zadok will cast on him:

"Well, I have the feeling that this crystal key could be linked to a crystal teleporter. Maybe it could allow us to use some of them without uttering the pass phrase."
After that, he takes a quick glance at the library.
"Most interesting. If we find some unusual items and cannot identify them, although I highly doubt it, we could come back and try to find some piece of information in here."

Giri of the Chenlun Mountains |

Giri moves to this side door and remembers the double doors in the hallway so he calls back to his friends. "Open those pair of doors on three." he yells.
"One!" he yells as he grips the door in one hand and his tetsubo in the other.
"Three!" he shouts, hoping to surprise someone behind the door.

A long red carpet extends from the western doorway of this mirrored hall between ice sculptures of twin nymphs, ending at an open alcove to the east. Passageways continue north and south, following the contours of the tower’s outer wall, where windows look out over the open courtyard below.
The eastern alcove contains an ice crystal teleporter, but you don't know the pass phrase for it. As Thorgull tries the crystal key, it doesn't appear to work for this specific crystal. However, there might be another key somewhere... or you might learn the passphrase for this teleporter.
Where to next?
