Natalya Artemisa |

Yup, ready to go, we got our target thanks boss
she nods at Saul with a polite smile but wary eyes then turns back to the others
Right you are Therric, want ta lead on? I knows the docks but na' the ship's berth
She glances back and around to make sure everyone is together, then sets off at a ground-eating pace towards the ship's location.

DM Lil" Eschie |

Supposing everyone follows, if you want to post something before leaving the Gold Goblin just put an "earlier"
The docks are a busy, and asking your way, you manage to find out the Foamrunner.
People are already busy getting barrels rolling on or from the boat.
There is a massive man in armor barking orders, while a dwarf pokest a small bag of money.

Cameron Hawkwinter |

Cameron and the others take turns pulling the cart to the docks. Ideally they'd pull it along with a mule but apparently Saul was too tight to pay for the mule's feed and it had got sold.
By the time they found the Foamrunner Cameron was feeling a little frazzled and his hair was mussed. He took a moment to take in the organised chaos of the docks before calling out, "Hullo the Foamrunner! We're here to take delivery of barrels for the gold goblin. Ones painted with a yellow goblin's head."
Something about his training had turned his voice into the veritable foghorn when he wanted to be heard. The sailors would have no trouble hearing him over the general hubbub.

Nessa Meretrix |

Nessa didn't like the way this looked, why was there a massive man in armor barking orders? She lept back behind the more fighty types of her group and readied herself to begin a spell should this turn ugly. She almost hoped it did turn ugly as she was a little mad right now because of Saul and wanted to hurt something.

Natalya Artemisa |

Talya keeps to the shadows where she can, effortlessly blending in to the mean streets as the group stops at the docks.
Now that don't appear too friendly, I hope these barrels ain't too much trouble...
She keeps one hand on her crossbow, as the weasel sticks its head out of her satchel, jittering.

DM Lil" Eschie |

The port is already busy, and asking for directions in the crowd of sailors and dockers, you finally find the Foamrunner on the quais.
People are finishing loading a cart with barrels, and a big man in metallic armor is trading with a dwarf wearing good quality sailor's clothes.
A small sack, of money probably, changes hands.
Perception, Cameron: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Perception, Alayna: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Perception, Natalya: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Perception, Therric: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Perception, Nessa: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
Perception, Zahel: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

Alayna Rochelle |

Alayna approaches the two men, Steel an' Stumpy, I reckon, and addresses them both, "Oi, looks like ya 'ave our cargo aboard." She points directly to the visible barrels, "Do ya 'ave stevedores or ya need we get it our own selves?" She makes a silent prayer to Desna, An' please make these men a smart pair an' don' make us make this physical. With Saul at our back, we don' need anymore black sails on our horizons.

Cameron Hawkwinter |

Spotting the goblin mark, Cameron exclaims, "They've got our barrels!"
Ushering the others along with him, Cameron marches along with Alayna (and hopefully the others) and confronts the men, saying "Gentlemen some of those barrels are not yours. See the ones with the yellow goblin - those are destined for the Gold Goblin. I'm sure there's an honest mistake here, but we'll be needing them back."

DM Lil" Eschie |

The man in armor turns to Camern, while the dwarf steps back farther in his ship
Gold Goblin? You're pals with Saul? We were concerned cause no one showed so far, about those barrels, and we were ready to bring them to the Gold Goblin of course, like honest citizen do.
There are coarse laughs among the thugs
Just kiddin". You will tell me how bad you wanted these barrels with your last breath.
He draws his sword, and takes a fighting stance
Let's kill Saul's thieves, boys.

Nessa Meretrix |

Nessa felt herself fairly safe for the time being, the thugs were a ways away and her friends were between her and them, it made for a nice place to be at the moment. Without moving she began the complicated gestures and words for a spell she hadn't used much, she planned to take a couple of these thugs out of the fight to make ti that much easier for her friends to dispatch them.
Begin casting sleep, it goes off at the beginning of my next turn so I'll worry about targeting then.

Alayna Rochelle |

"It's yer choice, Mate." Alayna steps forward slipping both her scourge and her rapier free. "What's more marks on yer hide when yer already known for scoundrels?" She grins wickedly as her scourge begins its expert dance in the space in front of her.
Move: As indicated, and draw her weapons. Expecting to use the scourge to generate an AoO to Trip the first person in. Ready an Attack to hit the first enemy that closes within ten feet with another trip. Alayna is +8 to Hit with the Scourge.

DM Lil" Eschie |

Someone who was hiding behind the barrels and various boxes springs into action, and throw something in Therric's direction
Throw, range, vs Therric Touch AC: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 1 - 2 = 16
Dmg: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 = 5
Fire!Explosion!
Alchemist's Bomb, 10" radius: Zahel, Nessa and Natalya must succeed at a Ref 14 save or take 5 fire damage. If save is made, they took only 2 dmg. Therric takes 5 dmg.Nessa must do a concentration check or loose her spell

Nessa Meretrix |

Nessa ignored the explosion and continued casting her spell only moderately amused at the feeling of the fire washing over her.
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
I actually don't need to make a concentration check, I won't take damage from less than five fire and thus concentration isn't disrupted iirc. Course I will still roll concentration if you wish, I just don't have a way to calculate the roll since I don't take damage due to resistances.

Cameron Hawkwinter |

Cameron firmly grasps his longspear and plants his feet and in a loud voice admonishes the attackers, "You would fight the followers of lady luck, would you?! You've gotta ask yourself punk, is today the day your luck runs out? I think it might be, the omens today are not in your favor!"
Something about this faintly ridiculous speech rubs off on you, putting a spring in your step and bolstering your aim! Cameron stays put and uses Sermonic Performance (aka Inspire Courage) 1/7 +1 competence bonus to hit and damage.

DM Lil" Eschie |

The man in armor brags to the thugs, losing perhaps precious time
Leave them to me... I'll teach them a lesson or two. You want to die today, girl?
he asks to Alayna, showing his big sword
The man who just threw the bomb shouts, pointing to the blonde piratess
Hey, I recognise her! She works in the Gold Goblin! I HATE her! Can I kill her first?
It will be a busy morning for Miss Alayna...

Zahel Greyhawk |

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Zahel barely dodged the bomb, but his quickness was enough to save his arm from being badly burnt.
That's the kind of surprise party that I hate, he thought, loading his crossbow.

Natalya Artemisa |

Biting her lip to concentrate, Talya points one hand at the man with the large sword and shouts out
I'll teach you a lesson!
The power of the city, all its ill will, its ability to crush people underfoot, rises up and slams in to the man.
Misfortune hex, dc 14 will save or for 1 round every time he rolls a d20 he must roll twice and take the worst result

Alayna Rochelle |

"I ain' got no plans a' dying t'day. But, I have an inklin' a' makin' your boyfrien' mad 'is b@&+* got hisself all marked up at the docks this fine day!" Alayna taunts and laughs at the brute in armor, He'll hit like a whale, but he's to slow ta' ever land a blow! "Come take it in the yarbles, that is if ya 'ave any yarbles!"
Continue holding my zone of control ;)

DM Lil" Eschie |

Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Braddikar seems to hesitate, under Natalya strange powers.
Then Cameron delivers an heartening speech to his companions, while Alayna mocks the big fighter manhood...
I'll cut you down for these words.Leave her to me, you rascals, and get her friends down
Waiting for an action from Therric this round

Therric Morant |

Round 1: Actions
Move Action: Move 20 ft forward
Standard Action: LoH on myself
Therric winces as the bomb blast impacts his armour and he moves forward to join Alayna.
"Sarenrae, give me strength..." He says as he lays a hand on his injury...
LoH: 1d6 ⇒ 5
...and his bomb wound heals completely. He's still injured somewhat, but he's still quite capable of battle.
"Someone wanna stop that guy from throwing stuff around?" He points out the alchemist as he feels his strength return.

Alayna Rochelle |

I ken make that leap! Alayna turns towards the alchemist on the pier and says, "Let me give ya yer first an' only chance!" She jumps the gap between quay and pier, landing in a roll and coming up nearly on top of the man. Her scourge lashes out and and is blocked by the many barrels in the area.
Acrobatics, DC10, no running start 5' leap: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Trip, Cam's Inspire: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 1 = 10
No, seriously I am going to go back through the past six months and count the dice for all of my characters and see what the average is... this dicebot is getting ridiculous. :/

Nessa Meretrix |

Going ahead and placing my spell even though there's an enemy before me, doubt it changes much. I put a big + sign to signify the center of the 10 ft radius burst.
Nessa finished her spell with a triumphant look and several of the enemies around the horse began to sway in exhaustion. She then moved a bit closer to the fighting and sent a splash of acid at the one attacker who was off by himself like a fool.
Will save for sleep is DC 15, it'll affect up to 4 hd.
Acid Splash: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d3 ⇒ 2

DM Lil" Eschie |

The bomb-thrower steps back as Alayna coils her whip again, and throw something at her, hitting her right in the face!
Bomb: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 1 = 23
Dmg: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8
Crit?: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 1 = 19
Dmg: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 2) + 3 = 11
Ouchies!That's 19 Dmg if you don't succeed a DC 14 ref save
Burn! Burn! You took me my man! Now you will burn, as I burned with jealousy! Tuyp was talking about you for hours, about your lovely face he would so happily eat! You won't be so pretty now!

Cameron Hawkwinter |

Here's hoping Alayna makes the save. Cameron isn't that great at in combat healing.

Alayna Rochelle |

Ref or else!!!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Alayna ducks at the last moment, the force of the blast incninerating her newest hat, but leaving her more or less unscathed. "Damn yer weakling hide!" She shrugs and adds, "I hope you don't scream like your orc did when I striped 'is backside!"
Whew!!!

DM Lil" Eschie |

That's half damage anyway, so 9 dmg. And no more hat.
Alayna manage to protect her face, at the expense of her tricorn, a small price to pay.
Nessa spell isn't too effective, as only one thug falls asleep. Then the tiefling sends some acid in the general direction of her foes, but maybe surprised by the powerful explosion on the pier, she aims too badly to be a real danger
Will save DC 15, Blue: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Will save DC 15, Yellow: 1d20 ⇒ 19
The rest of the thugs move toward you, unsheating wicked short swords. One of them stops by the sleeping man, and kicks him out of Desna's realm
Rise and Shine, sweetie!
Braddikar close the distance with Therric, and plays with the paladin, teasing him
Intimidate, DC 11: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
You're sure Saul is paying you enough to die for him? Run away while you can..
Therric is shaken for 2 rounds:–2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks

Natalya Artemisa |

Swearing hard enough to turn a veteran sailor's cheeks red, Talya shoves her way past Cameron and throws one hand out around Therric's wide shoulders, summoning her own magic to fend off the brigands.
Flames burst in to existence and wash over the men.
Burning hands, area as per map catching two men, doing: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7 fire damage, DC14 reflex save for half.

Therric Morant |

Round 2: Actions
Swift Action: Activate Smite Evil
Standard Action: Smite Braddikar
Therric shakes his head. "Sarenrae would have my hide if I did, sir. Let's see if she'll take yours instead."
+3 to AC vs Braddikar's attacks as long as he's alive.
His scimitar glows gold, and he swings it!
Smite Attack *Shaken*: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Well, f*~% you too dicebot.
It's clear that his brush with the fever is still affecting his aim.

Cameron Hawkwinter |

Cameron intones a prayer, "May Lady Luck smile on those who fight these curs! May she nudge your aim to strike true and lend strength to your blows!"
He then walks a little south to better position himself to receive any on coming charges.
@All you have +2 to hit and damage from Cameron's buffs. Note inspire is a competence bonus to hit and damage and bless is a morale bonus so they stack.

DM Lil" Eschie |

@Therric: Yeah, but I wanted to use it on his next action/reaction, Attack or save(here taking the worst of two rolls for Ref save), instead of a simple Intimidate roll.
Ref save, Braddikar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
ref save, Braddikar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Ref save,red thug: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Both men get hurt by the fire, and fail to protect themselves, and Braddikar shouts angrily
You want to play rough? I'll play rough until you die, and then some!
Round 3
Alayna (24)
Pym (19)
Nessa (17)
thugs (13)
Braddikar (12)
Natalya (10)
Therric (4)
Zahel/Cameron (3)

Nessa Meretrix |

Nessa saw the bastard attack Alayna with fire again and decided that enough was enough, this guy needed to pay. She moved much closer to him, maybe too close, and cast yet another spell. When she finished a brilliant spray of light lept from her hands into the man's face.
I cast color spray in his face, DC 15 will.
wow, we're zipping through the combat now. Woo!

Zahel Greyhawk |

Zahel loaded his crossbow again, and changed his target, aiming for the ruffian threatening Therric.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 2 = 8

Nessa Meretrix |

Oh, whoops, for some reason I thought we were further than that since I've only acted twice in three rounds.
Moved myself back for the moment as that may well change what I do then.

Alayna Rochelle |

Not willing to take another bomb to the face, Alayna closes on the bombadier. Her scourge snakes out and snags on the man's ankle, and she pulls, trying to drag him to the boards of the dock. In one graceful bound she is atop the crates, her rapier ready to make a mess of his liver should he do anything foolish.
Trip, IC: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 1 = 18
Acrobatics to get on the crates: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Getting a step ahead of the bomber so he has to stay on the pier, rather than running back to the rest of the baddies. :)

Natalya Artemisa |

Might obligin' o ya to set yer hair on fire, makes it easier to aim at ya!
Cooly levelling her crossbow, Talya aims for Braddikar and pulls the trigger.
crossbow: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 2 = 17
piercing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

DM Lil" Eschie |

The man slams down on the pier, lying on his back, before the agile swashbuckler threatens him with her rapier.
Escape artist to get rid of the whip?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
And now, what? he asks angrily
@Nessa: you can change your actions now
@Natalia: your action will come later, after Nessa/ thugs/Braddikar have acted

Nessa Meretrix |

Went ahead and moved myself since it was definitely my turn this time, too bad I had to move 35 feet to reach him. Oh well, least now he get's to think really hard about what he'll do.
Nessa quickly moved up on the crazy man who had been throwing things at people. His first bomb scorched her clothing even if it didn't harm her and Nessa was not pleased. She had her claws on obvious display and her jaw distended with her fangs exposed as if daring the man to try and rise with a baleful sounding hiss.
Too bad demoralizing is a standard action.
If he provokes and AoO...
As she saw the man do something stupid Nessa quickly struck with her fangs, the poison dripping from them as she lunged like a striking serpent.
serpent's fang + cameron's stuff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Poison: frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1 Con damage; cure 1 save.

DM Lil" Eschie |

Well, at least he's down
the thugs bust into action, surprising Natalya and Therric
Red Short sword, on Natalya: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Short sword on Therric: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Red Short sword Crit?, on Natalya: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Natalya got a minor wound for her troubles, but it could have been worse. She should get out of this close fight, with her crossbow in hands
Braddikar: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Dmg: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Theeric escapes the massive fighters wrath, for the moment.
Could Desna really smile on you?

Therric Morant |

Round 3: Actions
Full-Round Action: Power Smite Braddikar!
Therric blocks Braddikar's wild swing and replies with a chop of his own!
Power Attack & Smite! *Shaken*: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 - 2 = 21
Damage? *Smite Evil, Power Attack*: 1d6 + 3 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 3 + 2 = 11
