Rhaz's eyes take on an insane quality as he roars and charges up the path all the way to the entrance of the southern tower, wildly swinging and brandishing his flail (16 squares), he seems oblivious to any arrows that may hit him, unless of course they drop him (AC 17 while running).

Hey Beromir, do you think it would be a waste to use one of your CLWs on Durp?

Rha'ziz : I don't know as for the moment I prefer to focus on reaching the towers and attacking the archers. But, if Durp or someone else is reduced to negative hit points, I will heal or stabilize him


Round 3 (complete)

Goblin #4 pauses, and yells at the onrushing goblin prisoners in the goblin tongue. He has an arrow knocked, but holds his fire. Although you don't understand what he said, it sounded like a question rather than a threat.

Goblin #2 switches targets to the onrushing goblin horde, and yells something else in goblin, sounding more like a threat than a question. Shortbow: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 2 = 13 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 The arrow hits Durp in the chest, and he drops his flute and starts wailing.

Goblin #3 fires at Skaar again, angry at having "hit" the enemy without sticking. 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 2 = 12

Rha'ziz charges towards the southern tower, flail whirling over his head.

Eryndir switches targets, and grazes Goblin #1 with one arrow.

Kella looks at Eryndir with a mixture of surprise and incredulity. "Durp is tribe singsong - Durp charge too!" she yells, looking at him sternly. Durp whimpers, but obeys, following Kella and the other goblins along the path.

Sochi fires again at the goblins, but the arrow clatters off the stone battlements.

Goblin #1 pops back up over the battlement after a shouted command from behind him. He throws an earthern jar over the side towards the onrushing goblins, heedless of the range or the fact that his comrade is in front of him. The clump of goblins proves too tempting a target. Ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 - 2 - 4 = 11 Miss direction: 1d8 ⇒ 7 The flask goes wide to the right, though, and lands in the deep snow, sinking out of sight.

Kyras fires at the goblins again, and misses.

Grabble races past the other goblins, having accidentally found the path. He hurls his rock up at the goblins in the tower. Rock (improvised weapon): 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 8 ⇒ (20) + 4 - 4 - 8 = 12 Damage?!: 1d3 ⇒ 1 Against all odds, he clocks Goblin #1 in the head, and the goblin yelps in pain. He yells in triumph, and the others take up the chant, "Grabble! Grabble! GRABBLE!"

Kroog gets bogged down in the snow and falls behind the group.

Beromir advances cautiously, and notices that the goblins are clearly concentrating on the nearer foes.

Skaar runs forward and up the stairs of the tower, stopping at a ramshackle doorway which is obviously not the tower's original door. Str check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 A swift kick shatters the door into wooden splinters, revealing ...

Skaar:
An empty stone tower, piled up with detritus, garbage, and several small piles of hay, cloth, and leaves. A wooden ladder rises from the center of the room all the way to an open trapdoor in the roof.

On top of the northern tower, another goblin head appears, this one behind a crossbow. The goblin cackles shrilly and fires down at Skaar. light crossbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 The bolt misses, and the goblin curses.

Goblin 4 sees that things have progressed past the point of negotiation, shrugs, and fires at Rha'ziz. Short bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4 The arrow hits Rha'ziz in the side, but doesn't slow him down.

EDIT: Missed Grabble's rock throwing - good thing I checked!

Are you sure a 5 is a hit?

Rhaz will move (normal movement) up to the door and attempt to bash it in. If there are any enemies inside he will smash on the nearest one, otherwise he will take the most direct route to get at the goblins who were firing at him. Oooohh...did that make him mad....how DARE they ;)

GM went back to edit the post and added a roll in, which threw all the other rolls 1 off, like Skaar's Strength check of 4 shattering the door.

Skaarr moves into the tower and casts a spell of healing on himself, smearing his wounds with unholy water from a small skin on his belt and chanting.

Move into the tower out of view of the archers, and then cast infernal healing on myself.

Crap... usually that only occurs when you roll the same kind of dice, as I routinely go in and add damage after I see what hits... but because I ahd to add Grabble's rock, everything got bumped. You'll have to trust me that the rolls were all legit, rather than me going back and altering everything due to this.


Round 4 (complete)

Rha'ziz runs up the stairs to the second tower and kicks in the door.

Rha'ziz:
Inside is a 20' diameter room, littered with junk, refuse, and goblin furnishings. A wooden ladder rises from the center of the floor, climbing 50 feet and ending at an opening in the tower roof above.

Eryndir fires at goblin #2, but the cover from the battlements protects his target from the volley.

Kella, Kroog, and Big Mouth divert from their charge, drawn by curiosity to find what was thrown down at them. They leap at the snow, trying to beat each other to the prize. The snow flies as four goblins wrestle each other for possession of what appears to be a flask of alchemist's fire.

Durp stands somewhat behind the pile of goblins, clutching his wound and looking terrified, now that he has no other goblins to hide behind.

Sochi moves across the path to find a better vantage point.

Forgot to roll the crit damage for Grabble's rock... 1d3 ⇒ 3 - looks like Goblin #1 is dead!

Kyras fires wildly at the goblins, but can't find his mark.

Grabble reaches down to pick up another rock, and then tries to move past Skaar into the tower. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 (I'm treating it as an opposed move, as Skaar seems too intent on getting in there to let him through as an "ally" - which isn't the right word, anyhow. He can't quite push his way past the burly half-orc, though. He throws his rock to the ground and jumps up and down in frustration.

Kroog passes his wrestling companions and heads for the north tower.

Beromir runs forward between the towers.

Skaar enters the tower and is lost to sight.

The new goblin (who we'll call Goblin #5) ducks out of sight of the group.

Goblin 4 leans out to shoot at Rha'ziz, but can't get a good shot. Short bow: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 - 4 = 12

Skaar:
You see a goblin head appear at the opening in the roof. She gives a surprised squeak, and then the goblin begins muttering and making arcane motions with her hand. Skaar - Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 You recognize the incantation is a sleep spell.


Map updated - there are now an exterior map and a map which shows both interiors of the towers. When you enter a tower you disappear off the exterior map.

I climb up the ladder and, as I'm making my way up, I project my voice, taking advantage of the reverberating echo in the tower (hopefully one of the goblins speaks common).

For a few seconds, Beromir is not sure which tower to enter but he eventually goes for the north one, remembering that Skaar is severely wounded.

I enter the north tower. If Skaar is within reach, I cast CLW on him. Otherwise, I fire an arrow on any visible enemy goblin

Interrupting the guy at the top of the ladder casting sleep takes precedence over healing me. If we fail our saves we're coup de grace bait.

"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!" screams Big Mouth, leaping between them, jaws wide. He snaps his mouth closed on the flask and both hands holding it, prompting a scream from Kella and a grunt from Kroog. There is a stunned silence from both of them as Big Mouth contorts his face and forces down a swallow.

Yes, Big Mouth just swallowed a flask of alchemist's fire.

Goblin #2 shoots down at Grabble. Short bow: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 4 = 11

Goblin #3 steps back from the battlements and disappears from sight.

Rha'ziz starts climbing the ladder, and sees a goblin at the top. Your intimidating speech obvious shakes the goblin, but he fires at you anyway. (I'm treating you as prone or purposes of his shot at you, based on your profile as you climb.) Short bow: 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 - 4 - 2 = 1 His trembling hands sends the shot well wide of you, and the goblin (goblin #3) squeaks in fear as you continue to climb.

Durp looks around, picks up a small stick from the ground, and then jabs it into his own wound. "Aaah, me hit again!" he screams, in a ridiculous falsetto, and then falls to the ground, writhing in the show. His motions dig himself into the snow, partially covering him (he thinks) from enemy fire.

Sochi fires at the goblins and then moves forward to support Rha'ziz.

Kyras fires again, but can't get past the cover provided by the tower battlements.

Grabble squeezes through the doorway and makes a beeline for the ladder, scrambling up it with murder in his eyes.

Kroog enters the north tower as well, looks around, and heads for the ladder. He climbs quickly, catching up to Grabble and trying to pass him. A minor skirmish erupts as the goblins jockey for position.

Beromir enters the north tower and has the situation explained by Skaar. He aims at the goblin and fires, but his arrow misses.

Sorry it took so long to answer your question, Skaar - you can declare your actions now based on the info and let me know what you will do.

Beromir enters the north tower and has the situation explained by Skaar. He aims at the goblin and fires, but his arrow misses.

North Tower:

Skaar delays, bracing himself for the inevitable spell.

Goblin #5 finishes her incantation. Will save - Grabble: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1Will save - Kroog: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19Will save - Skaar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 Will save - Beromir: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Grabble's eyes cross, and he slumps unconscious, falling backwards and onto the stone floor below. Falling damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9 Skaar also falls unconscious and hits the floor, but Kroog and Beromir seem unaffected.

Seeing the results of her spell, Goblin #5 throws her head back and laughes, taunting Kroog in goblin. She then draws another flask from her belt and shows it to him, wiggling it ominously.

Goblin #4 ducks back from the edge of the tower, and hurries to the trapdoor to shoot at Rha'ziz as he climbs. Short bow: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 4 = 6


Round 6 (complete)

Goblin #2 shoots at Kella. Short bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Goblin #3 shoots down at Rha'ziz again, still shaken from the intimidation. Short bow: 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 4 - 2 = 5

Rha'ziz continues to climb, prompting a squeak from the other goblin who has just appeared at the top of the ladder (Goblin #4). He reaches the top of the ladder. (Double move to get there, so no attack this round.)

Eryndir nails Goblin #2 with an arrow, and the goblin falls forward over the battlements and lands in the snow below. The elf switches targets but is again defeated by the cover the goblins enjoy behind their battlements.

Kella rushes forward to the fallen goblin and grabs his short sword, holding it high over her head with a yell.

Chompt and Big Mouth rush forward as well to fight over the dead goblin's gear. Chompt comes up with the short bow, while Big Mouth grabs the quiver of arrows.

Durp remains hidden under the snow, moaning softly.

Sochi moves forward, firing as she advances. (You're in deep snow, so can only move at half-speed here, putting you in O7.)

Kyras pulls himself free of the snow and finds the path.

Grabble lies unconscious on the stone floor of the tower.

Kroog growls and keeps climbing.

Beromir fires at the goblin shaman, grazing her arm.

The goblin shaman (#5) curses at her slight wound, and heaves the flask through the trapdoor. ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 She narrowly misses Kroog on the ladder, and the flask falls to the stone floor and explodes, showering the group with burning oil. (1 point of fire damage as splash to Skaar, Beromir, and Grabble.)

Skaar awakens from his fire damage, stands and picks up his weapon.

Goblin #4 draws his dogslicer and stabs down at Rha'ziz Dogslicer: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 1 = 19Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Sovereign Court

Kyras advances to spaces J17 and fires at the goblin again, hoping the lesser distance will help his aim.
I'm assuming that since the towers are so tall, the shots don't qualify for the bonus from point blank shot.

Stay on course then. I'll grab onto a leg, a weapon, an arm or whatever else I can get ahold of and yank, hopefully sending one of them tumbling down to his death, as I pull myself up onto the roof. All the while I continue taunting them and communicating a progressively more ominous warning for if they persist. Let me know what additional rolls I need to make.

Moving and shooting again. And throwing out my dice and opening a new package. Hopefully, these new pink sparkly ones will be better than my green sparkly ones.

From outside, you can see that a thin trail of smoke is rising from the northern tower, growing thicker and darker as the seconds pass.

Goblin #3drops his bow and pulls out his jagged sword. The tip of the blade shakes as the goblin quakes in fear, but he still finds the strength to take a swing at the Varisian. Dogslicer: 1d20 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 1 + 1 - 2 = 10Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Rha'ziz grabs at the goblins above him, provoking an attack of opportunity. Dogslicer: 1d20 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 1 + 1 - 2 = 20 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1Rha'ziz - CMB: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Being scratched twice doesn't prevent him from grabbing the goblin by the leg. (Both gain the grappled condition; next round, you can try to pull him down.)

With no visible targets, Eryndir moves to the path and advances towards the towers.

Kella, Big Mouth and Chompt rush into the northern tower.

Sochi moves and fires another arrow into the snow.

Kyras advances, but with no target in sight, he remains ready.

Kroog climbs up the ladder and pushes onto the tower roof, throwing himself at the spellcaster. The goblin shaman slashes at him with her dagger. Dagger: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7 Kroog - CMB: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3

Beromir fires again at the goblin shaman. Longbow: 1d20 + 2 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 2 - 4 - 4 = 11

The Goblin shaman steps back from Kroog and casts a spell. A cone of fire leaps from her hands. Kroog ducks under, avoiding the worst of the fire, but he still comes out singed. Kroog - Reflex save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Skaar starts climbing the ladder. (You picked up your axe last round, so I assume you climb...)

Goblin #4 tries again to stab Rha'ziz, but fails. Dogslicer: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3
